He is a very kind, helpful professor. Extremely bright, but difficult to understand. As long as you attend class, and keep up your reading, you would do well in his class.

Very easy class if you show up and read the material. Nixon picks very strange material to read and write about and it might be offensive to some people. He is very willing to help if you ask and provides a relaxed class atmosphere. Good class to balance

He is a very intelligent guy. If you read what he assigns and you should have no problems getting a B. I was hardly there and got a B. No h/w just graded on tests and papers.

this is how college professors should be enjoy. Well read (knows a slew of subject matters), gives attention to every individual in class. Don't fall behind though. You have to take this guy so sign up and stop reading.

This is where he excels! More a workshop than class. Wonderful for serious writers who want helpful opinions on their material. Students can be no-so-helpful but Mr. Nixon is always trying his best to focus all his attention on your material. Super nice and helpful teacher. A++ would try again.

he's really out there. MAkes u read wierd sci/fi book. class just based on papers but he is very helpful and funny. if you like organized teachers who stick to there plan book don't pick nixon.

He allows great creative freedom without prejudice of your opinions and he makes learning the old boring stuff fun and interesting. His class being easy is the magical elusion performed by a mater of his craft. The open minded will enjoy.

he's a nice teacher. The subject was boring but mr.nixon tried to make it fun. this class was as easy as it gets. if you get less then a B maybe you shouldn't be in college

he's boring with his sci-fi books but if you go to the internet get a nice detail on the books you won't even have to read it and you will pass the class. He's not the most interesting guy but stick to it you cannot fail.

And also his not there to fell u, he gaves u chances to revise your work over from the lowers to the next grade level; For example, if u happens to have a B+ when u revise work the you'll go up to an A-. Then he sat with you to show u your wrong doing. He is a helpful Guy.I did learn A+ or B+.

Helps you realize how life is from a different angle. Great in helping you to get where you need to go in life. Will talk till your ears fall off. But at least it is entertaining. He is married and loves his wife very much. Possible Hippy.

The nicest coolest teacher I ever had. It seems to me that he really really doesn't want to fail anybody. He loves his job and seems to love life as well. I recomend this guy to everybody I wish all teachers are like him.

You can get what you want out of this class easily. Nixon can be "easy" but if you want to succeed he will push you harder. Some might say he doesn't teach anything...those people didn't want to be taught.

he helped me understand what I should know to do my assignments. he took the time out of his way to explain to me what I should know or do to do a better essay. What else would a student want to get a good drade in class. Thank you professor Nixon.

I took English 2 online with Professor Nixon and he did a wonderful job accommodating and helping me. We had to read 2 books and write 3 papers. One of the books was probably one of the most intriguing pieces of literature I have ever read. Although he is laid back with deadlines, take my advice and don't wait till the last minute to do everything.

He is very understanding and willing to help you understand his assignments. very laid back man. love this class, which he could be my teacher for everything :) even though his assignments are strange, he makes sure u get it. doesnt take attendance. definitely pick him!!

Very interesting, some students just don't "get" him. He has a lot of cool things to say if you listen and your mind expands that far. The sci-fi books are out there, but it opens you up to a different genre of writing. If you fail/drop this class, leave school and find a job.

If you fail this guy, you honestly need to quit school, he is soooooooo easy I cant explain it. I had him for eng lit and enc 1102 online, and I got two A's.He's class is stress free and he is funny.Take him,you won't regtret it.

First impression, a little dorky. Lots of akward pauses. But I misjudged him and his open-mindedness. This guy is a real intellectual and very interested in the material. He is really 'chill' and fully willing to answer your questions or clarify. You have to read a couple books but the material is not bad, (even for a non-reader)Take him.

I took him for Intro to Fiction Writing last Spring, and I'm finishing up Creative Writing with him right now. Nixon is amazing! He is by far the most interesting, open-minded prof. I have had. Although he is a BIT forgetful at times, and the drug-use of his youth...um, shows; he genuinely cares, and he's actually quite brilliant. Plus, EASY A!

Great teacher! His enthusiasm for the subject makes it easy to come to class. He may be alittle unclear at times, but hang in there because he wont just let you fail...and make recommendations to use Youtube!

Alright, this is my 3rd Nixon class now. Clearly, I'm a little obsessed. This guy has done more acid than Timothy Leary; it's amazing he's still so damn insightful. (In fact, it's amazing he's not completely schizo.) Make him read in Old English. It's surprisingly amusing, and he totally loves it. And all in all, he's just awesome. I'll miss him.

I hated that book, probably the WORST book i have ever read in my life... that being said, i managed to write the papers and get everything in on time and i received an F! So i chased him the entire summer semester and he managed to change my grade to an A after a mix up in his office. Kind and helpful, fairly easy but the material sucked.

The teacher is awesome! I got stuck in this class because it was basically the only one with any seats left and i absolutely loved it. The midterm was three essays where you relate to the readings from class and was a little stressful but i got an A. It's cute how much he gets into the stories. I HIGHLY RECCOMEND this teacher.

Easyiest class u will ever take. Three essays thats it. He gives corrections on the paper befor its due, and you have alot of time inbetween. THE BOOKS SUCK. but its all worth it! hes great and understanding

I'm somewhat suprised at how few people seem to appreciate Nixon's book choices. Definitely not for everyone, but those who are willing to open their minds will get alot out of this class.

Pro Nixon is a great professor. The first day in class was a little scaru since I had no idea what he was talking about but that changed. His book choices are extremely weird and awful to read but he is extremely helpful and the greatest professor you'll have in college.

Nice guy, but pretty weird along with his book choices. Lets the class make the syllabus and due dates.

He is hard to understand at first, so make sure you ask questions if you dont understand. He tends to get off track, or too elaberate at times. Make sure to stop him, and ask your questions. Other than that, very helpful, good teacher, and easy going. No tests, just reading novels, and write about them.

Awesome teacher, very helpful...he would even stay after class and will arrange appointments to meet up if you need him. Easy A if you do your work.

Professor Nixon really does work with his students. The book choices were a little out there. But he asks the students for their opinions on what assignments to do and is ALWAYS willing to help. Overall he's a great guy.

A professor with a great passion and knowledge of his topic. Don't drop the course because he scares you at first. It's his passion. he's just asking you to read, listen and form an opinion. Then all you have to do is write about it. Express yourself! Yes,you need to read a fair amount. Entertaining! & you will we exposed to some great lit.

Nixon is awesome. The class was awesome. Even though he does not make you go to class at all, I was there every day and looked forward to it. All we had to do was write at least two poems or stories throughout the semester. every day whoever wanted to would read their poem or story and then we would just sit around and talk about it. TAKE HIM.

Very easy Teacher. But don't always think you can come to college expecting an easy A. I say he's an easy A because I did all the papers that I was required to turn in (ON TIME ALSO). I did my fair shares which is why I received the grade I derserved.

awesome professor. all we did was 3 creative writing assignments, critique other papers, and make a portfolio at the end. even though half the class wasn't there, i was there everyday because it was so fun. and nixon is always willing to help you with your assingments.

TAKE THIS GUY!! He's a real cool laid back hippie teacher. All we did was write 2 papers and he's a real light grader. I'm a horrible writer and got a C in ENC 1101 and I got an A in his class. And class aint mandatory i only wen to class like 3 times out of da semester

People take this class b/c of the easy "a", but it's more than that. If you really paid attention, you'd know that Nixon knows a lot about English, and will help you with whatever. As for the class, it was mostly medieval texts, doing a research report, final & midterm. Make sure to participate and not be apathetic & leave early like some people...

I would definitely recommend this professor. He is very laid back, and always seems to be in a good mood. His class is very easy, read the three stories by Phillip K. Dick, and do the essays, and you will pass.

Love him! Sweetest guy, down to earth and so much more. He's passionate, you can tell. He's a hippy..gets the class involved a lot. He doesn't take attendance but he does give little 5 question quizzes once every week or 2. He drops 2 lowest quizzes and they're based off the reading. I honestly sometimes just read spark notes for it and did fine.

I've taken Nixon for 3 different courses. He is your modern day literature Einstein... a little crazy but GENIOUS. Love this guy! TAKE HIM!!!! Everyone ends up taking him more than once.

Typical Lit. teacher. Laid back and knows what he is talking about. Sometimes I feel like he has a time machine and actually went into the past and came back to teach it. Easy class if you do all of your reading. I would deff take him again.

Fun, crazy teacher! A little unclear with directions but just ask him what to do. You can pretty much wrie anything and get a good grade if you did the reading. He's even lenient with due dates. Very knowledgeable and "out there!"

I took him summer a 6weeks and passed with an A he gave two essays 6-8 pages and thats it i got A's on both papers,you could write nearly anything and get a good grade. :) taking him again for Lit

Today was the first day he took attendance, its the third week of class. He is very cool and very open to others opinions. Everyone is comfortable. Mellow atmosphere and loves engaging in conversation. Best decision I've made taking a writing class as an elective

Super easy!!! You write 3 papers the entire semester and he gives you plenty of time for each paper. The class can be boring at times, but he is an easy-going person. Attendance is NOT mandatory. He offer multiple conference sessions before you turn in a paper and you get enough feedback to improve your writing and grade!

Professor Nixon the coolest, chillest professor. You just write 3 essays on some literature and your good. Attendance isn't mandatory. Take it to balance out hard classes.

Super Easy Class! Professor Nixon is the coolest professor. You write 3 stories, or poems. This class is fun and the professor is engaging. Do the work and come to class most of the time for a good grade. Pair this class with a tougher class.

He likes to talk about random things, which can sometimes be confusing. Otherwise he is a FANTASTIC professor. All you have to do is write 3 papers the whole semester. Their are 2 books to get and you need those. He might be a little crazy but he is seriously the best professor to take for ENC1102. Easy A

Super friendly and entertaining professor, and the class itself is great. He's extremely passionate about what he does and very knowledgeable. Very lax in general. You really only /need/ to show up for midterms and finals, but his classes are definitely worth attending.
