He was my advisor and i had him for several math and cosc classes. can be very confusing, but it's impossible to get less than a 'c' in his class, even if you don't understand anything. He lets you retake every test(the exact same test) till you get a 75%

best professor i had this semester. Very flexible with late homework and make up tests. Nice guy..although hes more receptive to questions if you go to his office rather than ask in class.makes dumb jokes that you can't help but laugh at.hes a good guy

He's a really great guy, really made geometry come alive for me. His class's are fun and he is very passionate about math. If you're a math major i'd take him for upper level classes, only thing is homework is 40% of your grade but you can retake tests!

Parker is a good teacher. I was scared going into this class and have found that Parker explains the material very well. He is also very accessible and happy to have students come to his office. Nice guy too.

challenging, but knows what he's talking about. there has never been a question i have asked without him having an answer right away. dry sense of humor but is very smart.

Grades Hwk everyday, Tests are hard but you have a chance to make them up; to 75%. Moves fast. Probably need to use the tutors. No partial credit. Final exam was very HARD. I went to every class and still got a D.

Had linear algebra with him, a lot of homework, I missed a few, and it did show on my final grade a bit, but if you work and show improvement or at least knowledge of the subject, he'll help your grade. As for 160, I can understand his teaching style to be tough, but if you listen, do the work, and show up to class, you will learn the material.

He is a tough grader, but you learn! He does try to explain things that aren't easy to understand and he is helpful if you see him after class. I hated his class for the first 2 weeks, but then I realized that he is trying to make you think instead of feeding you answers.

I love Dr. P! I have had him for 4 classes and have gotten A's in 3 of them. he is pretty hard but you actually learn something. HW is a pain but it doesn't hurt you in the end-believe me. There are no surprises on his tests and he is almost always available for help. I would def. recommend him as long as your not looking for a bs class.

VERY good teacher, I have taken him for every Math class a can. He knows a LOT about math and makes it very interesting. It can get hard at sometimes but he is always in his office and wont let you leave until you fully understand it. His tests can be hard because in order to do well you have to completely unterstand the topic. Not a BS class.

He knows a lot and can help explain things well if you have any questions. He gives a lot of homework and grades hard but it's worth it when you take the test and then know what you're doing. You will have to think in his class. He pushes his students to do well. Might seem difficult but after slackers drop out it gets better.

Ok. Prof. Parker is hard. BUT he is strait forward. He is an excellent teacher and forces you to learn. Lets you retake any test as many times till you get atleast a 75%. homework every night. You dont have to show up for class, but you end up going so you dont fail. I'm lazy and i got a "b". Hes always willing to work with you. great teacher!!!!!!

I thought the material for the class was pretty easy, but it was the kind of math that I happen to like. There is definitely a lot of hw...you'll get an assignment almost every night but he gives you at least 2 days to complete them. His handwriting is terrible and he moves pretty fast so you need to pay attention. Overall I enjoyed the class.

Contrary to most of the people that have rated Parker, I think he is a good teacher. He gives a good amount of HW, but I think it helps you to master the material for exams. He explained Linear Algebra very well, his tests are fair (maybe even more than fair). I would definitely take him again

He is a hard grader but it is because he grades for every little thing. He gives the opportunity if you fail a test to get at least a 75 on it. Very fair grader and overall a decent teacher

I had him as a teacher after I almost failed Calc. He was so helpful and no being able to use a calculator really helps you learn. Retakes on tests help you stay afloat.He's really smart and funny. Good teacher.

i admit that he is not the easiest teacher but he is a very fair allowing for retakes on quizzes and he explains stuff at his office as well. He will kick you around but if you dont struggle with it you are not actually learning. Do the homework as his tests are based off his homework and the true and false suck but it really helps in understanding

I love his teaching style, and he is very helpful during his office hours. He assigns a ton of homework, but it is designed only to help you. His tests are lengthy and difficult, but if you do poorly, you are allowed a retest for up to 75%. His classes are a ton of work, but if you DO the work, you will learn the material with at least a C.

Dr. Parker is super helpful. He's a hard grader and his tests are difficult, but he has more office hours than any professor I've seen and is always willing to work problems with you. It isn't an easy grade, but he forces you to learn the material (no calculator and no formula card on tests). I'd only recommend him for math/cs majors though.

His retest policy: score below a 75%. Redo your failed test at home until you get a 100%. Take the actual retest. The highest grade you can get on it is a 75%. His tests are hard because of this policy. This class grades your ability to copy numbers from page to page without the smallest error, which is surprisingly pretty hard. That's not math.

Dr. Parker's a good professor, and all of his lectures are clear, and the exams are pretty easy, however, he grades very harshly, regardless of getting the right answer; if there's any terminological error or "minor" mistake, you will lose points. It's helpful, but at the same time, it can hurt your grade. If you like a challenge in math, take him.

I've taken Dr. Parker for math courses and he was excellent and I learned a lot. Even though he has his masters in CS, it has apparently been awhile since he taught the subject and he had forgotten A LOT of material. A lot of the classes were spent with him going on off topic rants. I would suggest skipping taking any CS class he teaches.

The class wasn't really difficult if you actually read the lab book. The exams were surprisingly easy, and the final exam was very fair. Dr. Parker always provided us with lots of information about hardware that wasn't included in the textbook, which makes the class more interesting. I would recommend taking him. Easier than taking him for math.

Parker is a really great guy. His test are exactly what he teaches in class, and his office hours are a really big help if you don't understand something. He's always willing to help, if you're willing to go talk to him. He's a tough grader, but if you know the material, then you can get an A, no problem.

In the beginning of the semester, he'll probably ramble on about tennis and Sweden seem like a crazy old man but underneath that he really knows what he's talking about. He doesn't make a lot of mistakes when working problems out, and neither should you; his retest policy is insane so you should try to get it right the first time. He's a great guy

No matter what professor you choose for calculus, it's going to be hard. Dr. Parker is a pretty good teacher. He did many example problems and was willing to workout homework problems during class when we got stuck. He also has a really good re-test policy and was always available during his office hours. Try to attend SI sessions for extra help.

Dr Parker is a extremely great proffessor! He makes calculus a breeze! He makes time in his class to answer questions and work example to make sure u understand the material before proceeding! He is great for all levels of calculus. He firmly believes in Murphys law, so review hw and previous tests because chances are that is on the next test
