This is the laziest guy you have ever met. It is clear that he is more involved with outside stuff than teaching. Mostly, he spends the class in his office. You do what you want and then get an A. Easy class but you learn nothing. Why does he gets paid
Most annoying person you will ever meet or have met. When he said he was going to give his finals people laugh because he doesn't teach anything. What a lazy man he is, he is a disgrace to humanity. He is the loophole in Laguardia Community College.

No exaggeration, I know much more about computer science than he does... Out of 4 hours of classes, I see his unpleasant, childish face about 50 minutes. You basically do everything what the book tells you.
The class is 2 hours long..and no lie..he is there only about half an hour at most..meaning 15 min here and 15 min there..everyone sees and says nothing.With his reverse psycology.."IF I STAND HERE AND TEACH AND TALK YOU WONT UNDERSTAND ME,IF YOU READ THE BOOK AND DO IT YOU WILL GET IT BETTER" I best to get an A or B..or else I will report him....

Very knowledgeble probably the most in the CIS department. But never on time
Even though he never returned our quizes I elected to rate him high since he was very capable and answered all the questions I asked hime without notes (I consider myself an advanced student) However, may not be the best for the weaker students.
I took him 2 semesters ago for CIS100 and he was not good! But in the electronics class he was suprisingly extremly knowledgeble. He came late a few times!
At first I did not understand a thing but later on when he demonstrated the Motor controller projects it became better. His knowledge is very impresive considering a community college but his commitment was so so.

He managed to confuse most of the class but I was one of the few that understood his lectures and actually found that I learnt something but I‘ll better get a good grade otherwise I’ll complain about him.

Too him for a circuits course. This professor showed up late daily and his classes were as structured as a train wreck. I learned one important thing from this class: When you have tenure, no matter how awful of a professor you are, you will still have your job. I give props to him on this point and only this point. My grade for him is an F-
Is clearly the best they have and also the most knowledgeable in that department but can not say that he was very clear in his presentation. He was not punctual!

He showed us that he wasn't serious about the class. He wasn't there in the first 2-hour class! He's one shameless lazy guy. He doesn't stay in the lab. He goes to his cave and come back when the class is almost done to say "Have a nice weekend guys". We don't know a thing about Assembler Language. We seriously need a PROFESSOR, not some slack guy.
A complete waste of time. The prof. arrives late 95% of the time, takes very long and frequent breaks, barely teaches the lessons, but expects us to know everything by exam time. A total joke. Would not recommend even for an easy grade! Besides who uses Assembly language these days???

worst professor ever. both times I took him I hated him. The college doesn't post which professor you'll be taking it with..so your in for a surprise. M.F. doesn't teach, keeps going out and comes back in to check on us. writes some stuff on the board does clearify. and will never explain twice. usually passes students with a c or c-. Can't Learn!

This professor has not interest in teaching and is either very late to class, sometimes showing up 10 minutes before class is to end. Does not use the textbook, claims that we will only take notes but then does not give any notes or lecture so the student can take notes. He is due to retire yesterday!!!
He is a trap. Doesn't teach at all. There are a lot of good professor but he keeps classes for him only to make money. He abuses others professor and students because he is senior. His chair doesn't care either.
I did learn a lot from that old professor. I hope I could use it in the future.

I am learning a lot hope he will continue th same as he started.
I came into the class already expecting the worst, and unfortunately the other reviewers were right. Peled plays chess online during the entire lab, while students are expected to read the book in silence and answer the questions at the end of each chapter. He is very confusing and when we actually do hands-on work, there are always tech issues.
This professor is boring. His way of teaching is not best. he tends to fit more work within a week than other classes. he plays chess online constantly. he arrives 10 minutes late every once in a while.
Very very heard but worth a while class
He is good if U spend enough time to study. We covered much more that the morning class. Easy grader but the exam are very difficult.He told us that no one is scheduled to fail ... let's see.

this professor play chest true out class secession do not teach anything and he does not care a crap. after that he set some kind of test out of this world that you did not learn anything to applied for the test. we call him the chest player. lol

You can get A in his class even if they don't know Assembly language bc this professor is reckless. Try to get A in quzz I & II, and the final quiz. Then you are good to go. Don't try to learn from him. I got A-

Although he is a nice guy, and lenient his reviews don't help at all when it comes to the exam. It's literally two different things. The final exam he gave 2 different versions, where both of them had a line of code he never ever taught us, he then proceeded to make the second version of the exam easier and left the people taking the other version
Definitely a professor with broad and advanced knowledge, but not always able to pass it across clearly enough. Extremely fair grader, but his tests tend to be difficult. At times, he'd rather be playing chess than teaching. Not always prepared for the class - the assignments should at least be tested ahead of time. All in all I have learned a lot.
He is a very helpful and fair professor. He would go around each and every comp in the room to make sure everyone was writing the programs correctly. He would sit there and debug the programs with you until everyone got the hang of it. He gives reviews for the exams and is lenient at grading. I learned a lot in his course. I hope I get him again.
He's generous with the grading. He knows his topics very well but be prepared to learn at his pace. Once you miss a class or two, you will definitely fall behind, otherwise you should be fine.
Extremely unorganized and doesn't really seem to care much about lectures at all. Nevertheless, his class is very straightforward to pass, as the problems on his tests come directly from his lectures. Not recommended if you want to learn, but his tests are very easy to study for and get As on.
Peled is a mediocre professor, but he doesn't really help the students! you ask him for help and all he does is say," You have to figure it out". He's hands you things and expect you to figure it out by yourself, while all he does is sit at the computer playing chess! He gives us and example and takes 45 min to go over it because of his chess.

He is a nice guy but you Must work and be in all classed otherwise it becomes very difficult.
Play chess in class instead of teaching. Get irritated if you ask question. Goes too fast on the material. Most of the things in the course I learned from my classmates instead of him. We used to sit idle on 5-6 class the whole time while he taught nothing. At the end of the class he just go over the material quickly in 5-10 minutes.
Professor Peled's class involved more self-learning than anything, and it might not entirely be his fault, but he contributes to it. He is given very basic tools to teach students in the Assembly course, but provides no effort to teaching the class anything they can apply to expand their knowledge outside of what he spoon feeds his students.
To be honest if you have brain he is the most amazing professor you will take class with and you will learn a lot. If you are not so smart or care specifically about this subject then skip his class as you will have to rely on your class friends to understand or copy. Take it with someone else who knows less but is friendly to the weak students.
He's terrible overall. He doesn't explain anything at all. He just sits at his desk and plays chess the whole class. Whenever he does get up, he just writes or "displays" a code and vaguely explains each command. I would not want to have him as my professor ever again. I am sure that most of my classmates can agree. Just terrible.

It's pretty clear that he's very experienced and knows a lot about the subject. However his teaching style can be cryptic and he spends most of the class playing computer games at his desk. Doesn't make use of any of the textbooks. I have never gotten a reply back from his e-mail which was very annoying. Mediocre.
Excellent Professor.
Another professor who is there to just get paid. His teaching style is, go over once and work on an example, if you can't figure it out he will ask you to not be lazy. Very frustrating taking the class. If you need a good grade and have the time to work on your own take him, if you have a FT job like me, don't.

Prof knows his staff never uses notes. If the student is smart then the class is real easy and beneficial. For not a smart student I think the class can be a nightmare!
If you want to learn take with him if not take with another professor that I was told does not know the material

Please do not take his unless u want to ruin ur GPA. I took his class this semester, to be honest, he is not responsible at all. In the whole semester, he missed at least 4 classes without sending any emails notification. What's more, his teaching materials was extremely a mess and I was unable to understand. By the way, his handwriting is so bad.
One of the worst professors in LAGCC , he does not care if you learn the topic. He will literally give you an assignment you know nothing about and leave for the day. He should not be a professor making money off that. He needs to be fired.
Very knowledgeable always comes with answers. However, if you do not have a good logic then better skip him. Other professors that teach the same course are weaker and not so knowledgeable and therefore much easier to get a good grade without sweating. Also it is impossible to cheat in his examinations so be aware if this is you main plan.
Took me a while to get used to him but he is one of the better one. I wish I had him earlier as a student.
While he is really brilliant and one of the most knowledgeable professors I have taken a class with. On the flip side he sometimes plays chess during lectures and becomes unapproachable.
He is NOT the best if you are not smart since he does not explain too many times. I could have gotten a better grade probably an A but in that class there were many strong students so he did not curve the grade like they say he normally do. But I learned a lot and probably will switch from CS to engineering
He's so far the most knowledgeable professor about this subject. If you want to get a good grade and learn nothing about AS then you should probably take someone else who doesn't know what he's teaching. This professor doesn't need notes, he's knowledge about the subject is wide and whatever question you have I can bet money he will have the answer
If you want a class to pass for sure, you can take his class but he will give you D's and C's. He is a 10 year so he does whatever he wants. He does not even teach the material, he will give you 1-2 questions on the board then leave for the day. On all his tests including the final its only like 1 question, he passes everyone in the class though.

First: He is horrible. Second: Very bad communicator. Third: Doesn't care about grades, gives out C/B/D. Fourth: Laziest person I've ever seen/met. Fifth: Skips class multiple times. The list goes on... Avoid him at all costs.

Lazy. We met 2 days a week, 1 which he made into an optional Q and A session, and the other he had to leave early several times. Seems irritated when asked a question. Likes to stress how much he knows, which it appears he does , but that does not help me any, if he doesn't want to teach. I did learn, but could have learned much more.
Absolutely lazy with classes. Only met half the time during the semester. Consistently likes to just up and leave the class for 30 minutes or more for coffee, and constantly goes against his words on exams/assignments.. Everything in his classes are just reviews for previous classes for engineering, and gets frustrated when asked genuine questions.
His explanation of the topic is simply very poor and borderline useless. He is smart but I would never imagine the topics in this class to be taught in such a lazy and out of touch manner. Turns off chat mid lecture not letting students ask questions and gets irritated when you do ask questions. Teaches using Microsoft paint. 0/10 never take!
Very very knowledgeable. I learned a lot but he expect us to understand more than many of us can grasp. A very difficult class.
He teaches online twice a week one time a lecture and the other as a guided classwork. This system is great for me but I am an A student (GPA 4.0!). The weak students struggle with him. I know that there are at least two other professors that tach the same class but in a more simple way so it should be good for the weak computer science students.
If you are not on top of the material it will not be a joyful ride. You need to review after each class.

This 283 class is too hard! I heard other sections with other prof are much easier and not as deep in. You can learn but you can also easily fail
Dr. Peled is a good professor but sometimes he make the class shorter. He knows a lot!
A very knowledgeable professor. Assigns one assignment per week but is flexible with due dates. Open to questions. Lacks in giving feedback on grade progression. If you take him, take advantage of office hours. Lessons are brief so some self-teaching and studying after class is necessary but all CS related courses are at this point.
He won't let you talk in the class because everyone is muted from his end. He won't reply to you email. He doesn't even show up during his office hour. What an awful human. Should definitely report him.

A mix review. This prof is so knowledgeable however for the weak students he could be a nightmare. I am a student from a 4 years engineering college. Judging by the level of my fellow students I was hoping for an easy class. What a surprise I am learning here in his class more than I usually get in my 4 years school! I am sorry for the others.
He is amazing as far as knowledge. If you are a weak student I will stay away from him and take it with someone else that does not know this subject so well. You can learn a lot or not understand anything if you are not so intelligence.
MAJORITY of classes ended an hour early and literally half were solely devoted to classwork (homework assigned and done in class). So out of the weekly 4h30m, only 1h was weekly spent lecturing. This compounded with classworks being graded at the end of the course and RARELY discussed, resulted in a semester with limited lectures and zero feedback!

I said that I will take it again even though this class is extremely difficult, but I am not sure about the weak students if they will still be happy to take him again. Most prof lectures are on a much easier level. I hope to get a good grade!

Peled's class is challenging, but engaging. Attend lectures, use the textbook, and try unstuckstudy for study prep - it saved me time alongside other resources like ChatGPT. Overall, a rewarding experience if you're willing to put in the work.
He is the most knowledgeable professor I have taken so far at this school. Does every example live not copying from notes which gives a chance to do debugging.
One of the harder classes I've taken but I grew to love it. Professor Peled is extremely knowledgeable and the lectures are great. He's one of the most laid back professors, he wants everyone to pass his class so he's very lenient. If you dive into the material you will enjoy it but it's very difficult if you don't put in a lot of time.
