This class is not a cake walk...you will need to read your textbook very often..in fact read your text book before and after class. The professor is very helpful after class and is will to meet with you to review. Read each chapter summary as well.

He's a great teacher,he gives notes.Classes are not mandatory, but if you want to pass go to every class.Since He gives in class pop quizes,homework and collects classwork from time to time. Which is great because he drops half of it so basically there bonus pts. Study and Study, if you need help meet with him in the morning. (*Get the Study guide)

He gives you all you need to succeed in chem (X credit, old tests, suggested problems, chapter schedule, office hours, returns emails, exam review outlines) very clear in his explanations, great personality, happy to help, never belittles or insults students. great experience!

he is absolutely awesome, at first i thought his class was just easy but i realized he's an incredible professor that just plain knows how to teach in the simplest terms. I recently took the OAT and I killed the chem section, mostly because of the basis of my chemistry education from him. Def recommend him! he's very accessible(email office hours)

Really great teacher! he is hilarious kind and super attractive. sometimes i might pay more attention to him then the material we're going over. gives good reviews for tests, and helps you with homework if you need it.

Do recommended problems in the book,look over old tests/quizzes, participate in the problems he does on the overhead (Solve the problems yourself on your calc), and I guarantee you'll pass! Awesome prof; His skills are as versatile as carbon, as reactive as cesium, as thick as lead is dense, and as deep as the lanthanide series.

Great professor, just wished he would've handed out the outlines for exams a week earlier not days before exam. Do attend class, do the work in the text book it helps a lot for exams. His exams aren't the easiet you really need to practice to understand the material.

Somebody that knows his stuff and knows how to explain it to others. If you're looking to study more chemistry down the road he is the professor to take. I took him for chem 1 and 2 and both labs. His tests are somewhat difficult; however, he is very generous as far as curving and giving extra credits.

Perdian, is not an easy professor. But you do learn. If your a science major and need MCAT or other testing he is the best. I repeat he is not an easy A. Taking it during the summer 6 weeks is another tough challenge. But if your looking to learn he is the guy. Currently, have a 93 in his class. Its chemistry, so you must study. Practice!

Dr. Perdian is exceptional at making abstract concepts understandable. He will answer your questions and is almost always in his office during his office hours ready to help his students when they need it. He is predictable about when he gives tests and quizes. He cares about his students.

Prof. Perdian is a GREAT teacher. He is very professional, educated, knowledgeable, has a good sense of humor and likes teaching. He is doing a very good job in explaining diffucult concepts. I loved his class and looked forward for every lecture. My personal opinion is that Broward College should be proud to have prof.Perdian working here.

I took Prof. Perdian for lab and he's great! It will literally be the easiest lab you've ever taken in your life! You also learn a lot, though. He explains everything well and always keeps the class interesting. He's hilarious! I got an A in the class and will be taking him again for CHM1046.

I had to drop the class for personal reasons, but he is a good professor; however, if you are not on top of your studies in this class, YOU WILL FAIL! The class is difficult and he does not necessarily teach "chemistry for dummies" but he is a good prfoessor, and you can pass once you put in alot, alot, alot of work, and get tutoring if needed!

Perdian is a must take for Chemistry if you are a science major. If you are looking for an easy A this is not the class for you. But if you are looking to understand the material, I highly recommend him. He is funny and likeable teacher and is always willing to help if you don't understand something.Before his class i hated chem but now I love it

Really helpful, there's never a dull moment in his class. He is extremely helpful and he is always easy to keep in contact with, whether it's e-mail or his office. He is so awesome, and not to mention HANDSOME. He does a great job at explaining things and he is always clear. I wish he was available for 1046 in the summer.

Excellent professor! Lab was never boring and I enjoyed going! The lab notebook for 1046L is very tedious, but other than that, the class was great! Not much studying required to get an A in the lab.

Great prof. I love how he try his best to be funny but is mostly corny. still make you chuckle though. His lab is tedious because He wants you to show your work but He doesn't grade harshly so they are easy.I don't like how the quizzes are on lab were going to do. I would rather have ones on things we've learned.It's lab so you def need to be there

First time rating a professor because i really felt the need to. AMAZING professor, best one I've had! Class is not easy but as long as you study you'll do great. He is very helpful and fair. DO read the textbook! If you're taking chem, take Perdian for sure. He's the best!… and funny :)

Dr. Perdian is very helpful in the chemistry lab. He is knowledgeable and available to answer any questions. He has a good sense of humor. The experiments were interesting and fun.

Dr. Perdian is a great instructor for lab. Before each lab there is a mini 5 question quiz about the lab you're going to be working on & 3 exams which he emails outlines days before the exams on the subjects you need to know. Very fun & young & handsome! Definitely recommend taking him. Chemistry gets harder so you must put in the work!

Very fun class, but the exams were challenging. They come straight out of the experiments, but if you're bad at explaining what you did step by step, then you may have some difficulty. I believe I'm ending this course with a B for my grade. If you get good test scores however, an A is manageable.

One of the most down to earth and funniest professors I have had. He makes the course material as simple and explainable for students and always makes himself available for his students.He genuinely cares about his students' success. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED you have taken chemistry in high school. I did not have any chem background and passed with a C. Very clear and patient when teaching will answer any questions you have and very easy to pass if you put the time into studying and fully understanding the topics.

I took him during Term II, it's a fast track one that is 8 weeks long. He's super funny and knows what he is teaching. Make jokes to help us remember our subjects or formulas. Tests are easy if you do the assignment requested on D2L. Quizzes are also easy if you listened and study.

Awesome professor! I took him for the accelerated 6-8 week course, and it was very fun. I don't know why other people are saying his tests were tough down below. His tests were actually easy. Just study a bit, and take them, and you should get an A. His lectures were very interesting as well. I wish he could teach organic next semester!

David Perdian breaks down the information and spoon feeds it to you like youre still in highschool. This is a very tough class and he does his best to make things easy for you. Go to class take notes, you will have to study for CHM1046, its not an easy class, but your best shot at passing this at Broward College is with this guy.

Dr. Perdian is one of the best professor's I've had at Broward College. He has a cute personality and truly makes the class interesting and memorable. His grading is very simple. There is weekly online homework and 3 of the lowest are dropped. One lab assignment is dropped (including pre-lab, lab, and post-lab). Very smart man.

Labs are easy to do, but we had to write out all the lab reports by hand. He's interested in the subject and tries to be lighthearted and make jokes. He tries to break it down for you and make it easier.

Awesome professor. He teaches general chemistry 1 and 2 with fast track option (8 weeks). You need to put in the time most importantly! This course is accelerated, understand that first. Complete homework on time, lectures notes and videos are available online for review. Ask him any questions, he is there for you. He truly wants you to pass :)

so you want an A on the accelerated course and you have no prior chemistry experience? Get ready for war, grab the book and become one with it and don't be fooled by his attitude and jokes, he is a nice guy but he will destroy you if you don't prepare. people around me were dying like flies, i made it to the shore with my A.

You take out what you put in, so do all practice questions and you will get an A for sure for sure. Taking for 1046 lecture and lab now, which is more work in lab but I can only get out what I put in. A's baby....

Definitely one of the best teachers I've had. I only had him for his lab class but the work required helped me with doing CHM1045. If it weren't for his teaching I probably wouldn't have passed my chemistry class. He's a must take! He's also really funny, which makes his classes even better.

One of BC's best. I took him for CHM1045 Lecture and Lab and also for CHM1046 Lecture and Lab fast track. It was an amazing experience and I learnt a lot. He breaks down each topic so you can understand. I will recommend him to any student.

Dr perdian is an awesome professor. i personally had him for CHM1045, CHM1046, and CHM1046L and had A's. he is one of the best instructors on campus. he is soooooo funny and down to earth, brings down the information for you to understand as easy as possible. i wish that he teaches organic chemistry, i would have taken his class in a heart beat.

I took Chemistry I Honors with Professor Perdian, and I learned a lot. Chemistry was not one of my strongest or most liked subjects but Professor Perdian really makes everything so interesting. The labs were fun and he is always in a good mood ready to make jokes which is awesome. One of the best professors at Broward College for sure.

Professor Perdian is great and always make lectures funny! Although his class is pretty difficult if you read the textbook, are determined, and always make sure to ask questions during class (or go to his office!) you should do pretty good.

I was petrified of chemistry prior to taking this course, but I've received nearly all A's in his class and I enjoyed getting to know other students during our class works which were brief easy assignments for some credit. Mini assignments were helpful. Lots of study aids available like video lectures that help if you're not understanding something

Most times you'll be laughing at him, but he does know his chemistry and teaches it EXTREMELY well. Truly one of the greatest professors at Broward College.

Professor Perdian is one of the best professors in BC, I took him for General chemistry 1 and 2 including the labs and I really understood everything he said, he was very clear on his grading criteria and in every chapter he taught us and plus he is very nice and funny even though his jokes are bad sometimes.

He is THE BEST professor ever. If you really want to learn general chemistry take him. His lectures are very interesting and he is very nice.

This dude is amazing. And this class is really hard to fail, and this is from someone who did not do well in chemistry in high school and got a 96 on the final. All you have to do is take notes and study them everyday, there is ALMOST no use for the textbook other than just practicing problems. PLUS, he has puns for days!!!!

Prof. Perdian has been the best professor I've had for a Science class. His cheesy science jokes make lectures entertaining, and he gives you all the tools you need to actually learn the material (notes, recorded lectures, practice exercises, Study Guide). He's very interactive. I am extremely satisfied with the class.

Prof Perdian is a solid professor. His lectures are funny and he gives classwork at the end of class for a grade. It's not mandatory to go to his class but you would miss a grade if not. I had to work my buns off in order to pass but I think its because i'm not too great at math. He has office hours and is willing to help.

Really nice teacher. Hes cool & funny. Alot of mini homework assignments on newton but you can finish all of them in the first 2-3 weeks if you really wanted to. All the assignments combined are equal to an exam grade. Chemistry is a hard class, but not because of him. He posts videos for every chapter. He moves a little fast, but the videos help

BEST chemistry prof. Homework assignments due every week, they are moderately difficult. 2 Exams (including final) that are open book! He is a very nice prof that notices hard work. Just show up, do the work, ask questions, and leave. You'll get a good grade if you aren't lazy. You'll learn good, he is very available if you need help.

Let me just say that he is hands down the best Chemistry professor I have ever taken! He breaks down Chemistry so well that it's hard not to comprehend Chemistry. How I passed: took notes during lecture, watched his vid lectures & the organic chemistry tutor on YT, then practiced problems from book and Google. You need to practice a lot to pass!

Just to stem from my previous post, the best way to pass is practice, practice, practice. He is very helpful and genuinely loves Chemistry. The quizzes and tests are straightforward. I don't remember getting any trick questions on the quizzes/tests. Test tips: show your work and round every numerical answer to sig. figs. I hope this is helpful!

Dr. Perdian is awesome. He cracks chem jokes all the time. He makes chemistry interesting and relatively easy. He doesn't give trick questions. Homework is online. Just take notes, watch his lecture videos and you'll be fine. Take him for Lab if you can as well. Very easy to talk to and answers any question you have.

He's a super chill teacher I had him for 1045 and I took chemistry back in 10th grade and he tries to teach with ease and getting an A in this class is like a 7/10 in difficulty make sure you're on top of your homework and there's a quiz usually every week (8week course) and the last quiz is a group quiz but overall choose this guy 1st.

His labs are different from his lecture class, if you miss a lab then you get a 0/25 for that day you missed so attendance is crucial. He drops two labs and two pre lab assignments and in the end, there are two different exams in the class along with an extra credit instructor evaluation. Lab is an easy B if you try decently hard enough.

The class itself can be very difficult, as chemistry is not an easy subject and there is no practice tests or reviews but as long as you study really hard for his tests and pay attention in class, you should be able to pass! No extra credit sadly, but he makes up for it by making his lectures interesting and is a funny guy with his chem puns!

Had him again for CHM1046, although this was online he did round me up a percentage and if you follow his directions you will be successful during the class. This is the first professor that you should have in mind if you need a chemistry class to do. Thank you so much for the amazing summer professor. Have an amazing school year!

He's an amazing professor. I took him for the summer. We had around 3-4 tests that weren't proctored. There's a website called Aleks where you do a whole bunch of homework. You have to do all of them. I got A's on the tests and 70% overall for Aleks. Ended up with a B in the class. The session was one month and I spent total of 45 hrs on Aleks.

Professor Perdian definitely knows what hes talking about when it comes to chemistry. He explains all of the concepts for each lab and goes through the calculations during the lectures. There is a pre-lab and lab due every week, so it can be a lot. Overall, I would recommend him, especially for remote learning.

He is a very good professor who knows a lot about chemistry. I took his remote class and thought he did a great job with his lectures. However, there is a lot of homework administered through ALEKS and these questions are much harder than the ones we were taught with. I would recommend taking his class, but prepare for a difficult A.

I took him for both Lab and lecture for General Chemistry 1 and 2. I got A+ for all of them. All you need to do is looking at the outline and do those hw. If you do not understand, fins the answer on Google and try to understand them because those suggested hw are mostly on the exam but in different numbers. He is nice. I took them as fast-tracks.

Dr. Perdian is the best science teacher I've ever taken. I took him in session 2 with his Lab, its a fast pace but he provides a lot of resources to understand material. I found his lectures to be very clear and explained well. He uses Aleks for homework. Tests and quizzes are open book/open notes. I'll definitely be going with him for Chem II.

TAKE THIS CLASS ONLINE ... Only two proctored tests and three non proctored. He is available at office hours and is chill! Knewton is a bit of a pain but you can get through it. 10 easy quizzes, simple discussions, and two very easy assignments. Extra credit available. Take it online if you just wanna get an A and move at your own pace without boss

Got a 100% Because Perdian gives extra credit opportunities. I took it online, learned at my own pace. He was available at office hours. Amazing combo. I loved this class and am still shocked about my grade. Take him!!!

Best Chemistry Professor! Take him if you find space ASAP! HE doesn't give a lot of homework, he explains the material very well, and the workload is not heavy! He is a really really really good professor! We have some Aleks chem HW but it's not a crazy load and it's not every weekend! PLUS quizzes and exams aren't proctored!

This was a short class for me, but there was two ALEKS assignments due every week plus the quizzes and exams. Honestly, you just have to pay attention in class and study, he posted the recordings right after. He always answers questions in full detail and even explains the questions on ALEKS.

Took for summer and remote. All the assignments were on Aleks. All material in lectures were in quizzes and test. Quizzes and test were not proctored. He will stop teaching and answer any questions you have. Overall I recommend picking him as a teacher. He wants us to pass, learn, and to really become a better teacher. Hes really a great teacher!

I was so scared of taking chem 2 because I couldnt find any good teachers but im so glad i found him. ur grade mostly depends on ALEKS and tests. If you finish ALEKS and do decent on tests/quizzes, you'll most likely end up with a good grade. he's a really good lecturer and always answers any questions you have, so don't be afraid to speak up :)

Dr. Perdian was my favorite class while I had him. Great jokes and puns regarding chemistry and overall very great class experience. If you take your notes and keep them with you, all of the assignments will be a cakewalk. I hope to have this professor again in the future.

I took him for session 2 which it was fast paced. His lectures are super fun, especially the jokes are so funny. I'm a slow learner, I don't always understand everything on lecture. But he has videos for everysingle topic that he covers in lecture on youtube. (They were so good that I stopped going to lecture) Study because then labs get super fun!

His class was not bad at all, and honestly for being chem it was amazing. The lecture class is structured, but if you need more help he gives you the textbook readings if u need, and videos. The lab was not bad either. Its chem so you will have to work a little bit to understand, but he makes it really enjoyable and not a burden like some profs

I took him for chem 2 and honestly, this was great! D2L was structured nice, exams were like quizzes. Just study properly and you will pass. Not all the exams were proctored which was nice. Quizzes aren't proctored. He gives you the chance to pass.

Great teacher and help ... just do the work and you will pass.

Great professor, explains everything to detail, always ready to help. Don't leave Aleks to the last minute, he gives a study guide for all exams and quizzes. Labs were very simple, watch the videos he posts beforehand to have a better idea of what you're doing. Also, he posts extra videos of every topic and gives practice problems in class.

Great, caring teacher. His lecture videos are hilarious. Put in the work and you will succeed. He set us up for success. For the online course: 2 Discussions, 3 Assignments, 5 Tests - 2 were proctored (he picked the easiest ones for proctoring). Lowest test grade gets dropped. Gives you plenty of time to complete assignments. Would recommend!

If u are lucky enough to take Perdian in person, by all means do it! This guy loves chemistry and makes fun of it all at the same time. He makes the corniest jokes, draws the silliest pictures on his PowerPoint, has a lot of mnemonic ways to learn, "LEO THE LION SAYSGUR"/"How to make PIZZA." Chem1 is a lot of math. IF U GO TO CLASS, U WILL DO WELL!

THIS GUY WROTE THE LAB MANUAL THAT BC USES!!!! Use the lab manual for the lab reports!! The information is all there, it is sometimes hard to find. Attend his office hours if you need extra support. Fun labs. Great teacher. FUNNY.

There were 4 exams, you can take them all online @ home or on campus in the library. Attendance wasn't necessary because he has online lecture videos already posted & study guides you can use to study for the exams. HW was on ALEKS. This is the best professor I have ever had, he's goofy, understanding and lets you turn in late assignments.

He is such a smart guy, he knows what he is talking about, and lectures include examples that will be on the test. Grades are based upon Aleks, pie progress, quizzes, and tests. This class is not a "walk in the park," but if you put in the work and effort, it should be a rewarding A/B. Funny dude! taking him for 1046.

Great professor, learned a lot. Lots of funny mnemonics to rememeber chem principles and exams are based equally on lectures and homework.

Great professor and gives great feedback! His lectures are heavy though; you need to write notes and study. He was a crazy sense of humour too. He does lecture a bit fast though, so you have to make sure to keep up and study in your free time. Aleks homework is the only thing I dislike. Apart from that, great professor; great guy.

Professor Perdian was a great teacher. He made all his lectures very engaging, there's a lot to read on your own but the quizzes aren't very difficult and neither are the test as long as you study. He's also a very understanding teacher so if you communicate with him he will work with you to help you get your desired grade.

Professor Perdian is the best professor hands down! I had him for chem 1 and 2 and he doesn't disappoint. He is very educated and knows what he is teaching. He is very hilarous loves to make jokes and the work isn't hard if you just do it. He is understanding and will work with you. Most importantly he plays his role as a professor and is great!

I was in 1045 lab and lecture for the Summer smester and trying to balance the work between both classes was rough. He's a great teacher but for a 5 week class it was tough, you definitely cannot allow yourself to get behind on any work. The lecture work was what I struggled with the most since you had to teach yourself stuff online.

Professor Perdian was great, i took him for the summer semester, his class goes very fast since youre seeing 4 months of material in1 but his teaching style and ethics help you understand a bit more, your whole class grade depends on online assignments and cant fall behind, overall would take again!

Professor Perdian brings a fun, engaging approach to chemistry. Lectures can be intense, but his mnemonics and examples make concepts stick. Aleks homework is tricky, but unstuck study helped me prep for exams.

He was really great professor, as long you do your work, be on time and ask questions you should be fine. Also, use chegg if you dont have time lol

Honestly the chillest teacher ive ever had. Not to say you dont have assignments. But he maekes sure that we all understand the content in class and quizzes on the topics that are actually reverent. I wish he taught more than Gen Chem, I'd take him for all of them!!!

Hands down the best professor I've ever taken. Highly recommend to anyone willing to attend class and put in the work outside of class. It is a good amount of work, not too much not to little and he made a 6 week summer course fun and interactive in both lecture and lab and it felt so quick! Love his so much as a professor!

Amazing professor, very helpful, will go over concepts until you understand. Took him for both lec and lab, great choice. Chm2 is hard but easier than Chm1 with him, I really enjoyed his lectures and he's super helpful with labs. Class is fast paced, do ALL the work ON TIME. If you fail. it's because you didn't do the assignments and gave up.

He was a great professor. Only thing I have to say about his class is that it can feel very slow. He goes over the same topics many times which is definitely beneficial, just makes the class feel a bit repetitive. He jokes a lot which makes the class feel lighter. All HW is on REALCHEM and very easy to do. Final was hard but the extra credit helps.
