Putz is a great teacher. He passes out otulines for every lechure and is always available for help. His tests are graded hard and are essay tests but he gives you the ?'s before hand. And there are quizes based on the reading

I highly recommend Putz. His tests are essay style, and your hand will be killing you when you're done, but they are pretty easy. He gives a review sheet, so there are no surprises when you see the test (you pretty much will know exactly what is on it). He is super hot too!

I had Putz for Gov. I and II. Awesome teacher. Very nice and laidback. His classes are not blowoff classes, but are very fun. You will learn lots. I highly recommend him for both semesters. Is always available also.

I don't know what's wrong with these other students that rated this professor, but I'm gonna tell ya the truth. I busted my butt in the class. I had to study so freaking much for this class. Be ready to take really good notes, be ready to study you ass off, and be ready to write long long short answers and essays given very little time.

He's a great prof, very intelligent and knowledgeable. I learned so much in his class and it was extrememly interesting. Be prepare to work hard but he gives the questions before the exams, so you know what to expect. I recommend him for anyone that really wants to learn. I loved his classes. It opened my mind on so many things that I ignored.

You have to be able to withstand heavy doses of foul language to be in his class. I, for one, was not...so I dropped. His tests are way harder than they need to be and I think he gets some sort of sick pleasure out of failing you. He was always late to class too.

Putz was a great professor, he makes govt seem a little interesting and hes really down to earth. His test are a little tuff but he tells you exactly wuts gonna be on it. He gets to know his students and even jokes aroud with them just to keep them entertained. I would recommend Putz to anyone.

Ehm...I hate government and politics. Overall he was a good teacher. His tests are easy and you have very,shall we say informative,reviews. Although,his essays were very hard and I suggest working on them ahead of due dates. Ask questions.

His lectures are extensive,but his outlines help a lot for the writing of notes. He tells you before the test what to study from the outlines, which is great. You have to study and read the book which will help you extremely on the tests.

Mr. Putz is nice and I enjoyed his class. However, I read the books, studied notes, paid attention in class, particapated in classroom discussions and still made a B. His class was interesting, but he picks out very detailed information from a vast amount of notes and books. Be prepared to study more than normal when taking his class.

Nice professor!! I didn't read the book at all and only studied my notes right before class.I went to every class and paid attention. I made good grades on my tests.His essays are a little tought though. Overall he was a good teacher and I really learned alot about Government.I enjoyed his class and would recommend him to anyone.

He words things on the tests difficult. Be prepared to study. He grades really tough on the essays too. Made a 70 on essay & should have done much better. :/

Be ready to work in this class. The tests are really hard and I studied plenty and stil failed. He grades hard on the essays and offers no extra credit. Oh yeah he was always late to class too. He will randomly call on people to answer questions but he's really boring. Don't take this class if you don't want to do alot of hard work.

He is a very easy teacher IF you study and pay attention. He's humorous...at times! But I would definitely recommend him to anyone who likes government.

he is a great professor! he will tell you exactly what is on the tests and if you study that you can make an A. he is goofy but he makes the class fun sometimes and tries to relate the material through a way where it cane be easier to understand.

YES, is true!!! this professor did ask to have a "HOT CHILLY PEPPER" on rate my professors on one of the test. I study really hard and i only got a B even when attended the coffee meetings.

This man is the epitomy of boring. his tests are impossible to pass. i failed the class and don't rly care just because of how boring he was. do yourself a huge favor and avoid him at all costs...avoid the larry threadgill guy too.

Dr. Putz is a great professor. You can tell that he has a passion for what he teaches. Yes, you have to read to pass his tests, but you generally have to read to pass any college-level class. He encourages humor and class discussion, and he also holds after school study sessions which are extremely helpful. I really enjoyed my time in his class!

The people who rate him badly dont take good notes in class and dont read the book which he says repeatedly throughout the semester that you need to do. Dr. Putz is awesome. His class is kinda boring if you don't like taking notes, but if you just take the notes and give any ounce of effort you'll pass. He keeps things very interesting and funny and explains everything very clearly. I made sure to take GOVT 2302 with him. His essays are fairly difficult, but he only assigned 2 during the semester.

Great teacher, I would highly recommend taking his class. You take lots of notes and have many ready assignments but once you are used to it you'll have no problem getting a good grade. The final was not cumulative. We had 2 writing assignments but they weren't that bad. I am taking him for government 2 this semester.

I had this class very early, and almost fell asleep because it does get very boring. I think he could have made it more interesting, but it was an easy class. There were four or five essay quizzes we are suppose to write, but the tests were pretty easy. ALSO never miss a day of class because he always has test questions of things he says in class.

Im sure Putz has been on this website giving himself reviews, because I can not understand his current high rating. His papers are graded tough, although he isn't very clear on what we are to be writing about. He tells us what we are testing over, then the test is filled with questions I know I wasnt told to study for. I wouldn't take him again.

He was not a very good instructor. His grades were unfair and he would put critical comments on students papers that made them feel bad. He needs to realize that this is only Government class and students aren't going to understand it fully like he does, he expects you to have strong viewpoints. He wasn't very down to earth.

Overall he sucks! His test are tricky and sometimes incomprehensible. I study and study and could never pass the test to save my life. Overall he isn't "easy" like other people have mentioned. If you care about your GPA don't take him, I rather take Dr. Vida Davoudi, worst mistake I did for a summer online class.

He was a horrible professor! I worked really hard on writing his essays and they always came back with extremely harsh, non constructive criticism. He told me I didn't follow directions and didn't discuss anything. His lectures and book readings didn't follow his essay prompts. I took it online and had the worst experience. I do not recommend him.

Take his class if you want to be failed ( I took it online), supper hard. He required a lot on your essay and discussion, all of you essay or discussion should be over 250 words and reply to the post is mandatory with at least 150 words.

This is my 2nd time taking him, first time got an A. I've learned a ton from him and found him to be a great professor! His tests are application based (& hard). You have to be able to apply the information not just memorize it. Ask questions, he's friendly and is more than happy to help you!

Taking GOV 2302 online and I like it. Assignments aren't too bad. Just make sure to have a citation or 2 in there to prove you're not B.Sing it. The tests aren't bad, most of his questions he makes up himself so if you're hoping for an easy A looking stuff up online, this isn't the class for you. Just stay on top of your assignments and you're good

Dr Putz's online course was very well organized. I learnt a lot, which should be the objective of taking any class . Follow Dr Putz's instructions and you can't go wrong. Very interactive class for an online class .

I took this class online over the summer, so there was a test, a writing assignment, and a discussion due every week. A lot of reading, but he gives you a study guide on each section for the tests. Tests were easy, and the final paper is basically all of your discussions put together, so as long as you do them and listen to his feedback you're good

The expectations for this class are not in proportion to 3 units. This class has an unreasonable amount of writing and weekly assignments. I had fair warnings because I read this website prior but thought it couldn't be that bad-it is. Any excitement I had for learning this subject is gone.

Online class. Very organized/clear in due dates, assignments & e study notes for exams - fantastic help! Constructive feedback, my argument formulation was strengthened by his directions. Regular discussion posts, timed exams- bonus: the final is not cumulative. Would take his class again. Good instructor but be prepared to earn your grade! SD.

Professor Putz is such an easy professor. There are weekly discussions and assignments which are super easy. The tests are timed but he gives a study guide which will help a lot on the test. So just do the study guide before the test and it will be a piece of cake. SUPER EASYY CLASS!!!!!

Prof assigns more work than any prof I've had. Could not do readings and work full time. Learned to skip reading and use study guides to pass tests. Gives progressively more work each week. Discussion posts require thesis and references. Scheduled exam during holiday weekend. His online 6 week course load was more work than mini-mester.

I took professor Putz's 6-week summer online class and honestly it wasn't the worst but he did assign way too much HW. Luckily I was not that busy during the summer so I had the time to do all of the assignments, but I can not imagine working a full-time job AND taking this class. As long as you do everything, you will pass with at least a B.

Mr. Putz was a super nice teacher and I would definitely take him again. He could be a little bit of a tough grader but once you understand what he wants you'll always get good grade if you put in effort. He was funny and got us to watch videos that would explain government a lot easier than a textbook. Very good teacher!

Putz is an awful instructor. His test's aren't clear, there is no definitive answer. His demeanor is condescending when asked for reassurance on an assignment. Does not come off as a cordial person. Does not help with watch and writes and grades lazy. 0/10 recommends this class.

Awesome professor! I took him for Govt 2305 and he made it so easy. There are 5 writing assignments and 5 tests during the semester. They are pretty easy and he gives a review before every test! Its important to go to class because if you don't have lecture notes you probably wont pass the test. I don't normally like govt, but I enjoyed this class.

Mr. Putz is a basic teacher (and really nice) who makes class easy and learnable. However, you might fall asleep. You do not have to show up every day as long as you have a friend in the class to catch you up. There are a few writing assignments but they are very easy and basic. Read the textbook only for reading guides for the test, nothing else.

Putz was a very hard grader and had no respect for the students. My friend had gotten a concussion, and she was told that she couldn't do any school work but he did not care. She tried going to Lone Star to take a test she had missed and he said she couldn't take it, and she got a zero on the test. He is a tough teacher, and I don't recommend him.

I was hesitant of taking his online class bc of the reviews but im so glad I did. He's so clear in what he wants. On all the assignments you turn in he tells you where you went wrong. As far as the test goes, if you do the study guide for each module, which he provides, you'll get an easy A... or B. Don't let these reviews fool you! EASY CLASS!!

I am not sure about others, but I had a bad experience with him. He would take points off for simple things. He acts like he is more likely an English teacher and have no respect for his students. Does not consider late assignments, and tests are bearable only if you take your time to do the study guide, literally takes so much time to study.

Although there is a crap ton of work, he's a great teacher. Lots of textbook reading, lectures, and papers/assignments. But as long as you do them, he grades pretty easy. There are study guides that helped with the test but you need to read in order to get all the info. Only 5 tests all on sections. No midterm or cumulative final. I recommend him!

Do the study guides and test will be easy. Tests are 50 questions and you have 1 hour. There are 5 test in the semester. 5 writing assignments, a minimum of 250 words so it's not hard, but it seems like no matter what you say, it's not good enough. There are 5 discussions and 15 Crash Course videos with about 10 questions. It's not a hard class.

Took this class for online course and it was very easy. All the test are non proctored, with a catch. The catch is that its 50 multiple questions with an hour so just have notes ready. Gives out alot of extra credit and actually wants you to pass his course. He responds to emails and gives great feedback.

I am currently taking this class online, he is so caring he will work one on one with you to understand things better. It is a lot of reading and homework but there are extra credit opportunities.

You do have to get the textbook and a lot of the questions on the tests are from reading. The tests are online but are not multiple choice and are timed. The lectures are easy to understand. Attendance isn't mandatory but increases your chances on the tests by a lot. Overall I enjoyed the class. Slightly difficult but definitely achievable

Dr. Putz is an excellent professor. His class includes a good amount of homework and reading from the assigned textbook. Taking his course online for government, it was not difficult at all. All you have to do is keep up with the readings, homework, and study guides he provides you and you will excel in this class.

Hes a really great professor. I took one of his online and in person classes. Hes great in both. His lectures are important because youll need the notes to pass the tests. Tests are all online and you can use your notes. He really makes the class feel like a conversation rather than a lecture. Hes smart, caring, and one of my favorite teachers.

Awesome professor! He does give multiple assignments that are due on different days each week but his class is all around easy. Watch the videos read the pages and you will be golden.

I took this class online and what he was asking in the questions was so hard to understand. If you didn't answer the questions given in just the exact way he wanted you to, he would count off so many points. Even if you answered them just how he asked it still wasn't good enough. The work load wasn't too heavy, but he is just way too picky

Hes very easy going and laid back. His assignments are not hard they just require some critical thinking and a little bit of research. Honestly it is by far one of the easiest classes Ive taken. He is more than willing to re-explain something if you have a question. Hes not a hard grader but he does look for grammar and punctuation!

Putz is super picky and judgement about all work he assign. He grades writing assignments harder than any English teacher. He doesnt give clear criteria and blames you for it. Also he always says you can email him for help but its always a sentence that shows no effort in it.

He is a very tough grader. Its almost like he doesnt want you to pass. Hell ask you to write a 250 word assignment but fail you if you do. It almost always needs to be around four pages to pass. All his assignment are tough writing assignments or videos, no actually engagement

Professor Putz is an awesome professor and will not hesitate to email you back if you're having any troubles. The course, in general, is very simple and easy. Just do your work and you should be solid. There are 50 question tests but as long as you do the study guides, you'll be good. *hint* a lot of the questions are online (quizlet best friend)

He was great! He was very thorough, and even though he was a tough grader, he was very clear about expectations. I took his summer session and there was an exam every Friday. As long as you read the chapters, you will make an A! I MADE A 99 in his class and I will take him for my next class.

Took this class as part of my first fully online semester (due to COVID). He presented us with a very clear outline of the semester and was very easy to follow. Very nice and understanding professor with great informational lectures that really helped me understand the class.

I took Dr. Putz's Federal Government and has been the best professor I've had during my college career. Not sure if it's depending on the class but he gives reviews that are very similar to the test, so make sure to study the reviews. Excellent lecturer and really enjoyed his class. Taking him again for Texas Government this semester.

Dr. Putz was amazing. I took him for my Federal and Texas government classes and got an A in both. There is a clear grading criteria and he is very thorough with feedback on assignments. I would recommend him! He is good at what he does! If you do the work you will do well!

Professor Putz is an amazing guy. He wants you to succeed. DO THE STUDY GUIDES FOR THE TESTS. IT HAS ALL THE ANSWERS. Short vids, discussions, but the reading sections are long. The writing assignments are a breeze. The 12 wk class is very manageable. MAKE SURE YOU BUY THE RIGHT BOOK (not "essentials" or Kindle bc you need page #s)

I would definitely take a class with this professor again. The class was easy and not too many assignments. Always do the study guide because it covers the entire exam, and you can use it when taking the exam. I still would try to memorize most of the study guide because the exam is 45-50 questions, and you only have an hour.

Dr.Putz is an amazing teacher. His class made me understand and learn so much more. Easy class, just do your work and you should pass. Tests are online, 50 questions, and only 1 hour given to take it. Do the study guides! It has all the answers. 10/10 would definitely take him again.

Professor Dp was amazing! The only thing I would say is study the study guides because the exams are times quickly! But he does give opportunity for extra credit to go towards your exams. healthy workload. tough grader on punctuation and spelling on papers though. you will get an A if you apply yourself.

Here are all the assignments for his class 5 exams -45% of grade 3 Watch and Write- 5% 3 discussions - 5% 4 writing assignments- 15% 5 short answers- 15% documentary- 5% I definitely would recommend doing the study guides because there is a lot of what the test has that comes straight from the textbook and if you do that it'll be an easy A.

This professor is my favorite I have ever had. He makes lectures related to real-life situations and easy to comprehend. He is very caring and passionate about what he teaches. However, he is a tough grader but is straightforward about what he wants with the examples he gives. No cumulative final exam but a project as your final.

Professor Putz class was a lot of work. Strict on due dates, 5 exams (50 questions), 2 writing assignments, 3 discussion forums, and 10 weekly assignments (watch a video and be tested on it). DO THE STUDY GUIDES seems extra but it will help on the exams. A few lecture videos, not long though longest one was about an hour.

Requires the textbook but I was able to get away w/ reading only the chap. that were on the exam. Use the study guide bc this is what helped me. There is a sem. project but it is fairly simple & you don't have to work on it outside of class. Professor Putz has such a high teaching IQ, he could teach a bear how the Government works. I promise you will learn something and be very interested in his lectures. This is an easy A, and I would take again!

He's a great professor. Communicate if needed and do the work and you will be perfectly fine. His reviews are aligned with his tests and he stays on top of his grading. Take notes, he will tell you what you need/don't need to write so you don't stress yourself out. Don't overthink his 3.8 not sure why it's even that low if im being honest with you.
