I only had him for the lecture portion, but he was ok. We were graded based on quizzes, midterm, and final. He reads the lectures slides and sometimes said stuff not on the slides, that were on the quiz. Quizzes are open book. I feel his quiz Qs are harder than the test. You can't just wing the test tho, so study. He'll give a review before too.
Professor pop quizzes you in things not thought goes off topic tough grader. Terrible experience. Avoid taking
This professor is a completely unfair grader, did not bother to help you learn, in class as well does not facilitate lectures. Would not take again.
Does not explain the subject well. Does not answer any of my questions. Always leaves us with out any understanding.
I took a summer class. So the workload was expected to be a lot. He helped in so many ways with clear assessments and informing students of the criteria. All PSYCH classes are a lot of labs/tests (tests were MC) but he helped with very detailed lectures. Due dates are strict. He gives a chance to redo labs & drops a quiz.
This professor is very straight forward and stays on topic and keeps the information fresh with interactive examples. He also makes compromises with his students to make sure our lives are easier when it comes to not feeling overworked, especially for the summer session.
Few professors make class enjoyable, Professor Puzzo is one of them. This class is extremely writing intensive. On the first day, he made the expectations very clear. He is a fast grader. He gave helpful feedback for lab reports and quizzes that helped for exams. Despite the workload being heavy, it was manageable. Truly one of the best professors.
Clear grading criteria and proffesor gives oppurtunities to fix mistakes on papers and gives great feedback as well. Provides a lot of extra credit oppurtunities to boost your grade.
I would definitely recommend taking Professor Puzzo. It is hard class but he makes it very easy and interactive. If you take notes, and attend every class you will do well. He is very accommodating and understanding and will help you succeed in this course!
This professor is very clear what he wants for lab reports, as long as you show up to class and take notes. He also grades exams and papers quickly with a lot of feedback.
He would give us second opportunity for THE LAB ROPORT, so that people with bad grades would have a chance to get a higher grade.
I took this class during the second summer session, there is a lot of material but the professor makes it easy to understand. They are very honest about grading and what should be our priority to pass the class. He also allows students who did not like their lab grades to resubmit.
Professor Puzzo genuinely cares about Research Methods, and enjoys lecturing the material. The material is somewhat complicated, but if you show up to class and take notes, you will do well. There are opportunities to revise the lab papers for better grades. Overall, would definitely take another class taught by him.
I took Professor Puzzo for the Summer semester + honestly, it was rough getting up but he makes the class interactive and worth going to. Yes, it's fast paced and it's a lot of lectures but he makes it easy to follow and understand. I appreciate the quizzes we take as it boosts our averages and I appreciate getting the chance to re-do lab reports!
I've read so many 213W horror stories from friends so I was really nervous coming into this course esp in the summer term. Prof. Puzzo had the same if not less requirements and the course was definitely fast-paced, but he made it very easy to manage. He gives you many chances to improve your work and is always happy to answer questions.
take professor puzzo! he is reasonable and not boring when lecturing. i don't rlly like having to do a presentation but thats life i guess >;( overall he's a good prof.
This professor presents their lectures, expectations and criteria in a very clear and concise manner. The material was presented so lucid that students were able to do good with the flow of a quick paced summer course. Feedback and lab revision opportunities from the professor also helped improve our grading as we learned from our mistakes.
Took him for 213W during the shortened summer session. If you attend lectures and somewhat take notes (as well as keep up with assignments), you'll do fine. He's a good professor, lecture can be a bit boring due to the content (not his fault) and he makes it as easy as possible for his class. Pretty fair grader and good at explaining points :)
He gives quizzes, they're like mini reviews for the exams. But if you attend classes and take good notes you'll do great for the quiz + exam portion of the class. For the writing portion, the grading is a bit strict but he will give great feedback. You get a second chance to rewrite your paper, just follow the feedback!
Professor Puzzo is a great professor as he explains lectures well and makes sure the students understand before moving on. Labs are fun , quizzes are taken in this class so make sure you take notes. If you pay attention and are actively writing this class will do you well.
Professor Puzzo made 213W a very enjoyable course even though it was a summer writing intensive class. The material was made clear through his lectures because he expanded on his points and gave examples. Just show up to class & take notes & you will succeed. He allows students to resubmit lab papers after giving feedback to correct mistakes.
Professor David Puzzo is amazing. He actually cares about his students, his lectures are pretty self explanatory, just come to class. He gives quizzes but they are easy. Its an intense class but he made it easy for us. I enjoyed the summer semester with the professor. I highly recommend.
Professor Puzzo cares about his students and gives everybody a chance to excel in his class. The lectures are pretty straight forward and very clear. Just make sure to take notes and to show up to class since it is a lot of material that needs to be absorbed. In overall, he is a wonderful professor!
Professor Puzzo is a fantastic professor, he makes Psych 213W a manageable course. Professor Puzzo gives clear instructions and lectures, he is a fair grader, he allows draft submissions and rewrites for the lab reports, he gives straightforward exams, and he drops the lowest quiz grade. I would definitely recommend taking Psych 213W with him.
Professor Puzzo is such an amazing professor. He made PSY213W very fun to learn. He is a fair grader and gives extra credit. The course is lecture based so do not miss class. Dont hesitate to ask him anything. He takes drafts for the lab reports, gives feedback n you can make the lab reports better. He is a very encouraging person.
I took his class during the summer for six weeks and the information/material is heavy, so you must pay attention, but he is a straightforward professor and gives feedback on lab papers (gives another chance to rewrite for a better grade). As long as you attend the lectures, you will succeed in this course! Arrive on time to take the pop quizzes.
Psychology 213W is a hard class but, Professor Puzzo makes the class less stressful and more enjoyable. The material is sometimes boring but, it is what it is. Professor Puzzo explains everything and answers any questions you may have. Professor Puzzo responds to emails very quickly as well. I would definitely take him again!
Professor Puzzo is a fair grader. If you show up to class, review, and overall put in the work you will succeed in this course. I definitely recomend taking him. I learned a lot and it was within the 6 week course. His lectures are very straight foward, just make sure to pay attention!.
Professor Puzzo is very straightforward in his grading. He only makes you do and write three labs, first two labs a rewrite is allowed to help improve your grade if needed. He also has around 8 to 9 quizzes completely based on the lectures, he allows the use of printed slides during the quiz.
Professor Puzzo was very clear with his grading, he allowed you to revise labs and submit them again for a better grade. There are some quizzes in the class (Around 8-10) but they are pretty easy. He's very caring and understanding with his students if you communicate with him. I recommend taking him and make sure to pay attention to the lectures
He made 213 enjoyable. He allowed revisions on the lab reports to boost your grade and wrote good feedback on them to tell you how you can improve. He also offered extra credit opportunities for the midterm and final. 10 quizzes and most of the time we didn't know if we were going to have one, so print ur notes before every class so u can use them.
Professor Puzzo is an amazing professor for 213w! He's really understanding and genuinely wants his students to do well. The class was structured with 3 lab reports, a midterm, and a final. Revisions were allowed for the first 2lab reports for a better grade. There was also around 10 quizzes, they were straightforward and based on his lectures.
Professor Puzzo really wants his students to do well. He brings an exceptional depth of knowledge to the realms of experimental psychology and lab report writing. His teaching style seamlessly blends theoretical concepts with practical application, offering students a well-rounded understanding of the subject matter. By far the best prof at QC.
Professor Puzzo was a great professor. He really wanted his students to pass.He gave help on the labs during office hours. He would offer extra credit opportunities. Do show up to class, he does post his lectures online, however they won't make sense unless you show up.
Professor Puzzo is awesome and truly cares if you pass. If you put in the work, there is nothing to worry about. You get drafts for your labs; for all the quizzes, it's open book, and you can directly print the lectures.
Professor Puzzo is so caring and nice, I was going through a hard time in this semester and wanted to give up, but he was really caring and gave me time to complete my assignment and was very understanding. Although the course is hard he is great at explaining the lessons and amazing at working with his students and helping them in anyway possible.
This professor is very strict with high expectations. He can be very impatient sometimes but he gives extra credit.
I had to take this course twice and I could never understand the material until now. He takes the time to answer questions. The textbook is difficult to understand but somehow he made the lectures straightforward for you to understand the material. He has a unique style. I recommend taking Psych 213W with Professor Puzzo.
Professor Puzzo is so nice and has a great personality. He truly cares about his students and wants them all to pass. This course is difficult but as long as you pay attention to the lectures you will be fine! I was really intimidated by this course at first but the professor made it a lot less stressful and enjoyable.
He is a very harsh grader, and you have to work for you're grade, but overall, he's not too bad. Show up to class, participate, and you should be fine.Take notes; he doesn't put a lot of information on the PowerPoint.
Professor Puzzo was a great professor for this course. I only had him for lecture though, but he was straightforward about his expectations. He's energized by the 10 coffees he has a day and is like a bunny jumping around. He tells you what is on exams and you have open-book quizzes.
Amazing professor that teaches the content extremely well. Very clear in the concepts he goes over and is very fair in the quizzes he gives at the beginning of each class.
I had professor Puzzo for lecture only sadly. I showed up to every class but he pretty much puts all the information on the slides he provides. He does a couple open book quizzes that are not that difficult. He will do review for midterm and final that is very helpful. I really wish I had him for lab because he seems like a fun professor.
Professor Puzzo cares and wants his students to succeed. It's not hard to do well if you show up to class on time and listen to his feedback on papers. He does give quizzes, but they are open notes and he has very informative power points. Overall a great professor and human being! I would highly recommend others to take his class.
Professor Puzzo is very understanding and caring for his students, but knows to be strict when he needs to be. His lectures are clear and easy to follow. He goes on vacation a lot which made me jealous, but it means you will get your work graded quickly! He gives rubrics and exam reviews that are very helpful. He gives extra credit!
He is the reason I got through 213w. I unfortunately did not have him for the lab portion but his portion of the class is what helped me succeed. One of the few gems that Queens' psych department has to offer. Attendance isn't mandatory,he gives extra credit opportunities, open book quizzes, and communicates well. I would recommend him for any class!
Professor Puzzo is a good professor. However, His exams are very tough and you need to study for them. I had him for a Lecture, His lecture was based on quizzes the lowest quiz gets dropped, and Two exam midterm and final which is hard. If you think you are good at taking exams take him otherwise don't.
Professor Puzzo is a great professor; the class was a bit boring but overall not that bad. he can be a harsh grader but is always willing to help you do better on your writing assignments. Go to class, pay attention, participate, and you'll be fine
Professor is nice, he is a tough grader and strict at times. Otherwise I enjoyed his class. He explains well and gives us tricky questions to give us an idea how the final would look like. Please do read and study the slides he provides because his exams can be hard.
He is a tough grader but he does want his students to pass his class. Has open book quizzes, 3 lab reports and 2 exams. He does give extra credit for the exams, tells you what is gonna be on the exams. Very thorough with his lectures and explains topics really nicely. If you come to class and take notes and listen you will be able pass his class
Although i was nervous to take the class , Professor puzzo made it easy. He can be strict at times but overall he is nice and straightfoward with what he wants. There are quizzes on almost every chapter but its to help your grade at the end of the day. Just study and be there for quizzes and you should pass!! I would take him again
He's a great professor. His lectures are very clear and detailed, provides an outline for lab reports and goes over what should be included in each section. There's 3 lab reports, 2 exams, and open book quizzes. He does a review for the exams and offers extra credit. He is very understanding and provides help if you need it. Definitely recommend!
Great professor. Gives daily quizzes to help boost your grade. Fair professor.
Great professor, clear on instructions for assignments, and he's very understanding and helpful. One of the best professors for this course! It is a W course so there will be a lot of writing within this class, but he makes it manageable. Just do your work on time and you'll be good.
This class has heavy materials, especially on the chapters but he breaks them down in a way we could understand better, and even provides examples. Quizzes are open book, and gives good feedback on lab reports. He's strict but fair. 10/10 would take again.
Fair professor. He gives a good amount of quizzes but let's you know in advance to prepare. The slides are easy to follow and he makes it as simple as possible.
He is engaging, quite funny and accessible outside of class time. His quizzes are open book and the tests are a lot of material but he does give us a fair amount of time to prepare for it.
He's a really good professor. Gives about 8-9 quizzes throughout the semester, a midterm and a final, and 3 lab reports that are long but teaches how to do them well. I would recommend taking him.
Prof. Puzzo is a very knowledgeable professor, makes things easy to understand, gives great examples, and releases students early if the slides are done quickly.
Prof. Puzzo is a really straight forward instructor, he tells you like it is from day one and sticks to his word. He gives chapter quizzes after each chapter is complete, they aren't difficult if you studied the material. His lectures aren't boring, he brings great energy when presenting the material. I had a good time in his class this semester!
Great professor! He really cares about his students and wants them to succeed. Lectures were somewhat long but very detailed, easy to understand and enjoyable. For the 3 lab reports, we were allowed to submit a draft to receive feedback for a better grade. I would definitely recommend Professor Puzzo.
Professor Puzzo is a good professor. Lecture is spent going over his powerpoint slides. If you have any questions he willingly goes over them. There are quizzes at the beginning of every class so even though attendance isn't mandatory, you have to be in to take the quizzes. He gives you all the resources you need to be successful in 213W.
Professor Puzzo is the best, so kind and funny! He genuinely cares about his students; He gives quizzes to help your grade and your understanding of the chapters, plus he gives the quiz back so you can keep it as part of your review for exams. As long as he has his coffee's, and without a paper straw, he makes lectures fun and easy to get through!
When I was a young boy, Professor Puzzo saved me from a burning building and then bought me a Lamborghini. In all seriousness, he is a great professor who genuinely cares for his students and is extremely approachable.
This professor has favorites in the class I showed up everyday and did all the work and he still failed me. Horrible professor.
Very fast pace he needs to slow down.
This professor was super helpful with lab papers. His feedback was very detailed and gave you the opportunity to revise your paper for a better grade. He gave several extra credit opportunties to improve your grade. He was asccessible before and after class. I would definitely take the class again with Professor Puzzo
loved this class
come to class , take good notes and you will pass.
Great professor! He cares about his students. For the lab reports, we were allowed to submit drafts to receive feedback for a better grade, take advantage, his notes are helpful! He is straightforward and take notes of the slides.
I would definitely recommend taking this class with Professor Puzzo, as long as you come to class and take good notes you will do great. He allows revisions on labs and is always down to answer any questions.
If you come to class and take great notes you will pass. He gives you many opportunities to do well in the class. He allows you to redo lab reports and gives great feedback. He goes through the labs thoroughly on how he wants them written. Attendance is not mandatory but if you do not attend class it will be hard to pass.
Professor Puzzo is amazing at his job. He takes care of his students and gives good feedback on their papers. The labs were fun to do but the papers were lengthy. Despite them being long, the criteria was clear and the grading scale was easy to follow. Follow his instructions to the T, and you'll pass with flying colors.
I recommend taking this class with Professor Puzzo. If you come to class, you shouldn't have a problem passing. Great Professor!
Prof Puzzo was very understanding throughout the course of the semester
Very understanding and gives clear expectations for the assignments. He allows lab redos and provides great feedback. Be sure to take good notes and you will do fine in the class.
Prof Puzzo cares about his students and really wants us to succeed. he does go a bit fast with the lecture but if you ask him to go back he will. He also really prepares us for the lab reports and exams. 100% would recommend taking him! he makes 213 not only manageable but enjoyable!
Very understanding and caring! He's clear on lab reports and allows corrections to be made. Does exam reviews and is clear on what is to be expected on exams. Experiments are fun and lectures are interesting. would definitely recommend!
Great Professor! Difficult class but he is the one to take it with. 3 labs, 2 exams and 1 simple presentation. Allows corrections for labs 1 and 2, offers extra credit. He's great at giving feedback and he truly cares about his students.
I reccomend puzzo for this class because he is very straightforward with what he expects from you. 2 tests and 3 lab reports which is fair. lectures are a bit material heavy but makes easy to understand
Professor Puzzo is definitely respected by his students. His grading criteria is very clear. With a class like PSYCH213W, I was really grateful that he was organized with the assignments and deadlines for the class. It helped tremendously that he consistently gave feedback on all the lab reports.
This professor definitely will instill fear in you. I would never take him again. Run!!
Honestly you can definitely find a better PSYCH 213W professor. He's fair but not the best option.
The class is alot of work and the professor is ok. My friend said Dr Rotella is a much better professor.
Fair professor but wouldn't take again. Lots of papers as expected its definitely stressful at times!!!!
Don't overlook the amount of work involved and be prepared for high expectations from this professor. Prioritize thorough research before selecting a professor. Choose wisely!
I would recommend considering other options when selecting a professor, as this particular individual may present a more challenging academic experience. Despite receiving a B, there may be other professors who offer a less rigorous approach to the subject matter.
Going based off my experience in his class, I found him to over explain (not the good kind). Sometimes wouldn't understand our questions, so he wouldn't know how to explain. Don't get me wrong he's not a terrible professor but he gets frustrated quick which leads him to change his mind about how to run the class. Gives quiz on almost every chapter.
Literally run. Attitude stays on 100. Over-explains everything and will get frustrated and condescending very quickly when questions are asked. Frequently would give or not give quizzes at his own discretion not following the syllabus and will even grade your attendance as a quiz grade if he is in the mood. Dr.Doran was the only reason I succeeded.
Great professor, class was hard because I took it in the summer.
Professor Puzzo is one of the most caring, energetic, and detailed professors I've had the pleasure of being a student of. He laid out the outline for this course (taken in the summer) on the first day of class so there were no surprises, allowing you to prepare early on. Of course, make sure to do your part and study/listen to his feedback.
Professor Puzzo is clear on his expectations of his students and gives them the tools necessary to succeed in this course. His grading is exceptionally fair and frequent chapter quizzes ensure students can gauge where they are in preparation for an exam. His expertise in the field of experimental psychology really shines through in his lectures.
Such a great class! Professor Puzzo's expectations were very clear and easy to follow. He made the lectures interesting and explained concepts clearly. The experiments were also fun and straightforward, which made it easier to write the labs.
Professor Puzzo gave clear expectations of this class. Lectures was clear and he made sure we understand the lectures in words we understand. Always gave great feedback on assignments, especially lab reports. Professor Puzzo cares about his students and always gave opportunities to do well in his class.
Professor Puzzo is a very caring professor that really cares about teaching the students and passionate about the material that he is teaching. The class was a bit difficult, but as long as you show up to class and pay attention to what eh is saying you will be fine.
Downside: Could be a harsh grader, Upside: Allows report revisions. Exams multiple choice. Has review sessions for exams. Overall good teacher to take for 213W.
Professor Puzzo is a great professor to take for Psychology 213W. He is a tough grader but allows revisions for lab reports which is really kind.
Professor Puzzo is an amazing professor. I would recommend taking him for 213W course. He's clear with his expectations for the course as well as for the labs write ups. I was able to learn a lot and he made the summer session very manageable as this is an extensive writing class. He's funny too and overall I had great experience.
He is very clear of what to expect for the semester. I took this class in the summer semester and it was very fast, however, he made it very easy to manage. Expect quizzes for each chapter, it is very easy if you pay attention to his lectures. His lectures are heavy, he breaks it down for us to make it easier to understand. He was great!!
Straight to the point. A lot of writing but not hard.
This class is writing intensive so a lot of work is to be expected. Professor Puzzo was really kind and helpful. He provided clear instructions about labs and gave good feedback. He also gives extra credit and explains the lectures really well.
Professor Puzzo was great and on top of everything. He gave graded assignments back within a couple days. Professor also gives pop quizzes but he makes that clear on the first day and still drops multiple hints. He also gives you different opportunities to boost your grade. Be ready to work if you take his class !
Mr. Puzzo is the best psychology professor I've ever had in Queens College! He is funny, super nice, and very knowledgeable. I am so happy I took his class because I learned so much. The 3 experiments we did were fun and the lectures were easy to understand. Overall if you have to take Psych213W do your best to get into Mr. Puzzo's class!!!!!!!!!!!
Professor Puzzo is really nice and cares a lot about his students. He explains the lectures really well and gives extra credit. I took him in summer and he made the course really manageable even though psych 213W is a writing intensive class. As long as you follow his instructions you can get really good grades :)
Absolutely insane. Extremely quick to anger and takes advantage of his roll as a professor.
Professor Puzzo is one of the nicest psych professors at QC. He gives you feedback on your lab drafts and allows you to rewrite them when you get a low grade. His lab write-ups are easy, just make sure to know the APA guidelines really well. Exams are fair, based on lectures. If taking him in the morning, please show up to class...
He is very clear with how to do well on his tests and is gives you the lab grading rubric.
213W is not a light class but he did everything possible to make it manageable for us. Offers optional lab drafts with corrections so you do your best on the final copy and if you don't he allows revisions. Provides study guides that make the tests extremely doable and homework is on an online platform that he regularly reminds us to complete.
Professor Puzzo is an exceptional teacher. His teaching style ensures that you not only grasp the material but also succeed in his class. He is always willing to lend an extra hand and makes sure to set aside time for it. Very understanding and helpful, I am happy to have experienced his class before leaving Queens College. Great work!
MUST TAKE for psych 213w. Very caring and awesome professor!
Professor Puzzo gives very good feedback, he is very patient and willing to explain or answer any questions. He gives a very clear syllabus. Overall he is a very nice professor.
In this class, he is very lenient with grading especially with papers. He gives you feedback and gives you a chance to get a better grade. The lectures are very long but he gives a good description of it.
class isn't easy, but the instructor does his best. Lenient, but don't take for granted. Might seem high on caffeine, but that's the best part – always energetic. accessible outside of class, ask questions! Try to focus, keep up with the mind top, manage your time for lab reports – don't procrastinate!!
I would definitely recommend Professor Puzzo for Experimental Psychology! He not only makes 213w manageable but also enjoyable. His class consists of two exams and three lab reports, which he adequately prepares you for. Professor Puzzo works with each student to make sure they succeed. He makes sitting through a three-hour lecture no big deal :)
The class itself can be a lot but Professor Puzzo does a great job of explaining everything. He gives clear feedback on reports and looks over drafts before the final submission. He even offers opportunities to earn extra credit. It is clear that he cares about his students and making sure we all learn.
The professor does go in depth on the lectures that he provides. He typically doesn't read off the slides but copying the slides is almost a must. Homework is not bad if you don't let it pile up either. He doesn't post the lectures though so better show up or you're gonna regret it.
Professor Puzzo is great - he explains things clearly and gives helpful feedback. The class is writing-intensive, but he makes it manageable. unstuck ai was a lifesaver for preparing for quizzes and exams.
Professor Puzzo is very clear with what he wants from you on day one of class. He makes sure that there is no confusion on what you need to do throughout the your time in his class. He is pretty laid back and casual, but is also clear on his boundaries and expectations. He is also very relatable and makes 3 hour lecture not feel too miserable.
Professor Puzzo is a great professor, He makes sure that the lectures are presented in a clear way. The labs that we run in class are fun and very interactive. Professor Puzzo is very strict when it comes to following APA 7 format for lab reports, but as long as you do that you'll be okay. I would definitely take another class with him!
Professor Puzzo is an enthusiastic professor and he has a great sense of humor. He explains the lecture materials and writing instructions perfectly. He would be strict in grading papers as he wants everyone to succeed in understanding APA style. He would construct fun experiments and respects every student's opinion.
The lectures were informative and interesting, and I have learned so much from this class. Great professor!
#PuzzoForPresident , Makes everything really clear from the jump and is very understanding. He deserves a raise
Professor Puzzo was a great professor, especially for a course that is supposed to be difficult. He makes clear his expectations for the course and wants all of his students to succeed. He made writing the lab reports not feel daunting, and the lectures were very informative.
This man didn't just teach Psych213; he conducted it on us. I came expecting boring spreadsheets and sad group projects. What did I get? That with a side of pazazz. His PowerPoints were sharper than Freud's mommy issues. Highly recommend.
The course itself is work, it's a writing intensive. David is AMAZING! Expectations are clear, explanations are thorough and he makes adjustments that make sense. What would've been a painfully boring course was fun and interesting. Keep an eye out for the jokes he sprinkles into his slides haha~ Love 'em. Great teacher and awesome human. Take him!
Professor Puzzo is a great Professor, although I think he likes traveling more than experimental psychology! Make sure you email him before the weekend because he is probably on a connecting flight somewhere across the country!
He is literally so amazing.I've never had a class where I felt this engaged and actually excited to learn. He explains things in a way that just makes sense, and somehow manages to make even the boring stuff interesting. He actually cares if we understand it, and how he makes the class feel like a team.I've learned so much and HES THE BEST! TAKE HIM!
Highly recommend professor Puzzo, he's amazing! He's strict about following apa format but as long as you pay attention you'll do great in class. very caring, respectful, and keeps you engaged with lectures. he's funny and energetic (don't show up late) I would take him again if he taught other classes.
This professor is very organized and clear about his expectations. The assignments are well-assigned and detailed feedback on your writing is very helpful in improving your writing. This class is writing-focused, so be prepared to revise your work a lot, but the professor is fair and genuinely wants his students to succeed.
This professor is excellent for PSYCH 213W. He provides clear instruction and practical feedback that will improve your writing. The course is challenging, but the professor is always accessible and always available to help. He cares about your success and is great at helping you become a better writer. I highly recommend this course!
Professor Puzzo is one of the best at QC. Hes lenient, but don't take it for granted. He's willing to do anything and everything to help and offers multiple chances to get a perfect grade. Hes very accessible outside of class and honestly i dont even know what else to say. HES THE BEST #puzzoforpresident LOLL
Such an amazing guy, throughly explains whats to be expected on the labs, and allows rewrites for them too. Never a dull moment in his class, and I enjoyed coming to his class. Highly recommend him if your thinking of choosing 213W, the course is hard but with him it doesn't feel that well. PROFESSOR PUZZO IS THAT PROFESSOR!!! also he's funny lol
Take this professor. He is caring and genuinely wants students to do well. This course is hard but he gives you plenty of opportunities to do well and re write your lab papers as well. I don't know if I would have survived this course if it wasn't for Puzzo. TAKE THIS COURSE WITH HIM YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.
Professor Puzzo made me run experiments, analyze data, and question my life choices—all before going home. Learned stats, lost my mind. 10/10 would cry in APA format again. Not to forget, had a blast doing so! On serious note... Keep Freud in the 1800s when you come to class 🤣🤣🤣
Prof. David Puzzo is among QC's finest! He genuinely cares, going above and beyond to support students. His challenging course offers ample opportunities to excel even rewriting lab drafts. He transforms academic pressure into meaningful growth. Lucky to have taken his class!
This professor is highly recommended as it's essential for the psych major. This class is very intimidating, but the professor explains the material. He makes the experiments fun and engaging. He gives students options to submit drafts, which is very helpful. Mindtap heavy!
Professor Puzzo was a lifesaver for this required class. Each lecture was clear and concise, and the experiments were exciting and fun! Mindtap is heavily used, but the assignments and quizzes on there are so easy, and you're allowed infinite attempts. Rough drafts of the lab reports to get feedback were SO appreciated. Overall, 10/10.
Professor Puzzo is one of the best at QC. Makes class super fun and engaging especially on the lab days! Gives super helpful feedback on the lab reports and allows rewrites. Also just hilarious and clearly loves his job as a prof. TAKE HIM!!
A very entertaining professor that doesn't make the class boring, while giving amazing feedback on your papers. Easy to access to outside of class. Very passionate and loves his job. The savior of the class when it comes to APA papers.
He is very nice!
Professor Puzzo makes lectures and labs fun and easy to follow. There are 3 labs (research papers) with feedback and rewrite options. One midterm and one final, both 50 multiple choice questions. Weekly Cengage work allows multiple submissions. In-person class, but online once a week is allowed. Fair, flexible, and supportive.
I highly recommend this professor David Puzo for 123w. The classroom environment is engaging and complex topics are made understandable, his feedback is constructive and timely, he is available for help. Overall professor David is a good professor. I'm looking forward to take more classes with him.
Professor Puzzo really made 213W enjoyable for me. He is organized, the experiments/class was fun, and he genuinely cares about the students' success. The lectures are engaging and well-structured, and his feedback on assignments is constructive and timely. I would take his class again.
Explains the labs well and does fun experiments.
Great professor who's clear about what you need to complete in order to pass the class. Three research papers, midterm, a final test and the MindTap homework. Enjoyed the lab days since they weren't overwhelming rather you learn different styles of research design. He made this course really interesting and engaging. Be present to not fall behind
yeah i feel like he's automating these responses because they don't seem like what students would write, and i noticed how there would be 3 reviews every 2 days...unsure though
Mr. Puzzo was my professor for this class and I was very disappointed in him and his lack of skills to be an educator. He is very preoccupied with himself and not attentive to us as students. He's the most self absorbed person I have ever met and he should not be in this role.
He is very helpful and brutally honest, took him during the summer and he was very fair and his presentations are clear and consise. Would take him again, allows for re-writes but not always guranteed, take advantage of the re-writes when he gives them.
Midterm/Final Exam, 3 papers, Mindtap. Took this course over the summer so it went quick but also dragged. Be aware this class is a lot of work. Papers overall helped my grade not hard just tedious. Take advantage of rewrites. Professor is nice and would take again. Probably the most important course for a psych major so get ready and good luck....
He does the lecture portion for my semester with him and honestly he is awful. He reads off the slides and doesn't really teach anything. He refuses to post the slides on brightspace because "you must come to class", i dont see the point if all hes doing is reading off of them. Overall, he isn't that bad but i wish he was more organized
This professor reads off his powerpoint slides, and when I asked him if he can post it on the brightspace, he said no lol. I can learn better online, why should I go to his class when he just reads off the slide? Just post online and let me learn by myself then! Felt like talking to a wall. Just don't attend his lectures, study by yourself.
