I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dr.Raffaelle. He teaches the class in a mechanical process, step by step. Tests are just like the homework, so you should do it. Doesn’t take roll, but if you don’t go to lecture you will fail! Anyone going on to study PHY 115/116 should take his class. When he is not in class or lab he is in his office.

I was dreading taking physics before this class, but Dr. R made the class surprisingly pain-free and easy. He is very smart, and made all the concepts easy to understand. I recommend the summer session, as the tests are a MC/free response combo and the lab reports are significantly condensed. Tests were straightforward, just like the book. Take it!

Professor Raffaelle is a very caring person who wants all of his students to succeed. He is always jolly and willing to answer questions. Make sure you put time outside of the class to practice (and understand) the homework problems to succeed. Great professor and highly recommended if you need to take PHY 121/122.

He is such a sweet professor! Just beware you might have to teach yourself the material outside of class, but he is very funny and will crack jokes in class and will relate them to the material. Very sweet man and will help you if you need! Loved him

This professor was AMAZING. His class was the third time I had taken Physics 1 and it was the first time it made sense. He is genuinely such a kind, funny, and caring professor. He grades the tests very fairly and gives partial credit. I look forward to taking his Physics 2 class.

I took Professor Raffaelle online and he was a great professor he was really helpful and would answer messages right away. We used a website you had to purchase to get access to your homework and the textbook. We had 3 unit exams and 1 final exam. Homework due every Sunday as well lab part. I would definitely recommend that you take him!

Dr. Raffaelle was a great professor. I would advise to keep up with the homework and not miss class, things can quickly get complicated with physics. Stay fresh and keep organized notes as well! My class was allowed one notecard per exam and all the notecards combined on the final, which helped a lot. Raffaelle's office hours are also very helpful.

Took Raffaelle for Summer session and he is a genuinely great professor who cares about personal circumstances and wants to see people succeed in his course. There were 3 unit exams (with cheat sheets) and a final (with 4 cheat sheets) that weren't really too bad, you'll easily pass this class if you go to lectures and do the homework.

Took this course over the summer not knowing what to expect, especially since I had never taken a physics class. Very nice professor, he gives partial credit and is fair with his grading. There were 3 exams and a final, and all of them were allowed a cheat sheet. His explanations were easy to grasp, and he used real world examples all the time.

He's a nice person but his teaching style SUCKS. So many homework questions and hardly any match the exam questions. He jumps back and forth between different problems and it gets so confusing. Not only that, but the minuscule tiny hand writing.. smh. He's super nice but come on… people were averaging 30-50 on exams. That's gotta tell you something
