I agree on the "stress free" comment. The funny thing in this class is that you get the full knowledge from his lecture and at the same time feel like you are not pushed or stressed out even on exam day.Great professor!!!!!!

If you have to take this definately take it with David. He is so funny and out there! Attending class is a must but there is no book to read. The tests are what's on the notes.

He is great professor. Mini-papers are easy so just turn them in on time and you'll be fine. Tests are exactly what's on the notes. Try to attend class because he's so much fun to listen to!

Great PROF!!! It's a loong class but he always lets u out earlier. And his lectures are very entertaining. All kinds of topics are covered and the videos we watch it class are very entertaining! I will never forget them! Weekly papers are super easy. Study powerpts 4 test...easy A!! He is a crazy Prof! But you'll learn alot about the world!!

Love him, love him. He is the best teacher I've had at UTD. His tests are multiple choice and are exactly what's on the notes. Have to turn in a 1 page paper a week but super easy. I've learned a lot by taking his class. I would highly recommend him.

Fun class and a nice teacher. If you are a good studier then there is no need to go to class, but i suggest you do because the Prof if fun and the class goes by pretty quick.

He is an awesome professor. Makes class very fun so youll actually wanna go. The few days that you dont want to or if you have other studying to do you wont miss out on a lot the notes have everything on there for the exams. Take him for any class OB, Corps, or Performance Management and you should be able to make an A if you study.

Totally enjoyed this class. He is a ton of fun. Would definitely take him for another class if I have the opportunity.

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME! Not only did I learn a lot but it was an easy A as well. There are some anthropology elements so it makes the course interesting. I loved how he used books instead of textbooks, made it cheap for me! I even gave The 7 Hidden Reasons Employees Leave to my mom to read (she's a business owner). Definitely take him!!!

Awesome teacher!!! His classes are very interesting. This is the class to take for your business elective. Review the ppts for the test and you should do well. Again, he is a great teacher.

This guy is interesting to listen to, likes interaction. Just a like a conversation between him and everyone. Doesnt count against you if you dont interact. Tests are not bad,papers are not bad. Do read the books he assigns, they are actually useful and interesting in life! I hope to have him again for another class!

Awesome professor, kept class interesting. 3 one page papers he let you re-write if it wasnt up to par. Midterm and final exam was exactly what was on the review.

I took him for corporations, politics, and society. Overall,awesome professor! Keeps material interesting, fresh, & relevant. He gives you plenty of opportunities to make a good grade. He is a great speaker and a really nice person. One of my favorite professors from UTD. Take him, I strongly recommend it. Grade was based on 2 essays and 2 tests.

Fantastic Teacher!He is up front that the class is not super interesting but if you haven't worked before it definitely teaches you the ins and outs of how HR works. As long as you really study the reviews the tests aren't bad. Only other assignment is an 8pg paper. Really friendly and funny teacher,great in class discussions.WILL take him again!:)

This is the nicest professor ever, always has a smile on his face. Tests have no surprises, only what was given on the review. Tries his best to make the material interesting and to make it relatable.

A genuinely NICE GUY! The content of this class is easy to grasp, so he relates it to MANY personal stories. It can be a dull topic to listen to and should be an easy A no matter who you take for the course! Three papers, graded for content of how the topic relates to your personal life. Two exams that are easy if you read over notes.

Excellent professor and stress free class. I am not a business major but my friends told me how great his class was, and I'm glad I took Dr. Ritchey's class. Doesn't throw tricks or curve balls at you during the exam, very straightforward.

The course is pretty easy. Three essays, a midterm and a final. Professor Ritchey has been one of the best professor I've ever had. He is very clear, to the point and understands students very well. He gives you the information you need to learn and does not make life complicated on you. He is very respectful and funny.

overall pretty good professor. most always greet you with a smile and a joke. but could be quite sharp at times - though very rare. lectures are bit long but interesting so it works well. interesting man and clearly compassionate and passionate. wont respond to emails always though. knowledgeable and down to earth guy. jokes and interested in you.

Easy A in this class. 2 exams, 4 short response papers. Attendance is part of the grade but is checked randomly for 24% of your grade. All lecture notes are posted online and therefore attendance is not really required except for the sign in sheet.

Tests are multiple choice. Easy grader, as long as you turn your work in on time and somewhat try you'll get full credit. Takes attendance on random days so you have to show up because attendance can determine if you get an A or B.

I liked him. The books are easy reads. The papers are not bad. I would take him again.

He is a very understanding professor. He knows how difficult a student's life is and how expensive the books are. So, he does provide the notes to study from it.

Professor Ritchey is such an amazing and understanding professor. I took OBHR 3310 with him last semester and enjoyed it so much that I took OBHR 3330 with him this semester- made A's in both. Just show up to class and do the assignments. If you ever need clarity, just ask! He's always willing to chat and help out whenever possible. Recommend him!

Great professor; I made an A. Do not take the class for granted. A lot of students got low grades on the exams because they assumed it would be easy. There are 60+ terms to study (he gives reviews), but just memorize them, and you'll get an A.

He's really nice professor. He cares a lot about the student. It is not graded but participation makes class much better.(He wants people to talk more) If you follow the test topics in Elearning, you would get an A

I had previously taken his 3300 class, and it's the still the same. Complete the papers and you'll get an guaranteed A (don't overthink it, you'll get all your points), and show up to class for random attendance points. His two exams are easy, but you need memorize a lot of terms and small details. This class is an easy A, as long as you study!

Hands down one of my favorite profs. He is lecture heavy but I thought they were super interesting. You don't have to buy the book, the library has the articles online. He makes it extremely easy to make an A+ in this class!

Prof. Ritchey is pretty good about the content, he lays out the syllabus and follows it the whole semester. You get graded on 2 tests, 5 short and no-format essays and 15 random attendance checks. The content is really not hard at all, it's mostly a psychology class with workplace applications. Read the articles for the essays and it's an easy A

I absolutely love Dr. Ritchey. He sits and lectures due to health problems, but to be honest you don't even have to pay attention. You just have to make sure you memorize the study guide, and are guaranteed an A on the exams. The only thing is attendance is mandatory (14% of final grade - takes attendance on 14 random days), but the A is worth it.

He is a very nice and caring person and really cares about his students. Just make sure and study for the exams which he will provide a study guide.

I would recommend this teacher for OBHR 3310, because he's really nice and the work is really easy. Just do the work and you'll pass this class.

He loves to talk. Lectures can be dry, but he has good stories if you listen. The class is organized, with about 5 papers to write for the semester - guaranteed A if you show effort. 1 midterm and 1 final (MC, non-cumulative). Very easy if you study the review sheet. Random attendance. Fair grader, doesn't believe in a curve or extra credit.

Where do I start. He is AMAZING!!! One of the best professors I have had. He makes super boring stuff very interesting by the way he talks and always has really cool stories to share. Very funny too. Take him for as many classes as you can. The tests are exactly like his reviews and easy. The papers are extremely easy too. Very humble, love him!!!

One of the best professors ever in my life. He is really nice and sincerely caring for the students. Whenever he says to the student. He knows how to respect and show the sincerity toward the students. Every single word he say is helpful in preparing for your career Attendance point. Article read and easy essay. Professor Ritchey is a great professor, One of my favorites at UTD. He takes subjects that don't seem interesting and applies them to real world scenarios. Your grade is highly determined on the tests. So you have to pay attention and study or you will not do well.

Loved this class. It is lecture based with a couple of assignments and two tests. Professor Ritchey is a fair grader and he appreciates participation. He also respects varied opinions. He teaches without pushing his own views on you. I respect him alot and really enjoyed this class.

Fall 2019 OBHR 3330 Five 3-page essay - really easy. Attendence Two tests - He will give you the material on what the test is going to be about.

Finally, someone who isn't trying to jerk you around and set you up for any surprises. Take any of his classes when you are worried about a potentially rocky semester with your other courses. He even bumps your grade up at the end, takes random attendance, full of character and will end early most times. Paper every week, doesn't even read it.

If you read this and don't take Dr. Ritchey!!! Just do yourself a favor and dropout because he should be a person everyone see's before leaving UTD. Best professor on campus. Don't let him scare you with the first class day stuff because it's painfully funny! People immediately get up and leave. Dead! Just too easy, If you want an A just show up!

Fairly easy and there is no wrong answers on your homework, he just wants to see that you read the material and can discuss it. He loves it when you are engaged during lectures

Probably one of my favorite classes this semester because he is such a personable professor. His grades are based on two exams, 5 3-page reflections (easy), and attendance. Don't slack off on studying for the first exam, the topics may seem like common sense but you will forget them if you don't pay attention close enough. Study guide is v helpful

This class is amazing overall. I get it you have to write essays but he is lenient when it comes to grading and he just wants to know what your opinion is on whatever subject that was assigned as a reading. Attendance is taken randomly so make sure you show up to class. Take him!

Professor Ritchey is by far my favorite professor at UTD. He cares about his students and what he is teaching. You do have to read to interact in the class discussions but the reading material is engaging. This semester was half online due to Covid-19 but unlike most professors he did not pile on "busy work". 2 tests, 6 papers, and attendance.

Took this professor 2 semesters in a row. Easy A+ if you show up. Not boring to me!! The 5 three-page papers he assigns to every class are basically completion grades. If you dont get full credit the first time, you can redo. Tests are based on the study guide of terms he gives you. Make flashcards to learn them and youre golden!

The class is made up of 5-6, 3 page, doubled space, papers and 2 tests. Make sure you read the book and prepare for hard, long exams. The professor is good and he makes the class easier.

Don't buy the textbook! The articles you have to write a paper on are all online. THE PAPERS ARE A COMPLETION GRADE!!! He takes random attendance so go. its worth like 16 points of your grade. if you need an easy A take him.

So many papers but it's all good! The papers are not hard to write as long as you read the articles assigned. Exams are MC or T/F, study and take good notes. Take this professor!

This professor is really chill. Only two exams and six essays, each only three pages long. He grades the essays very leniently and the class overall is an easy A.

Great professor. Classes were asynchronous with only 6 three-page papers about readings and 2 tests. Tests are very easy and come straight from notes. The lectures are helpful to watch, but you can still do well just by reading the outlined notes.

6 essentially completion grade papers; and 2 CTRL F exams. Doesn't get much better than that.

I really enjoyed Org behavior and appreciated professor Ritchey's grading criteria. There are 6 straightforward papers and 2 exams, all clear-cut and pretty easy to do. Study the lectures/notes and you'll be fine. He's not out to get you and outlines everything you need to do to be successful. Lots of applicable information!

Professor Ritchy is a quirky professor that values honesty and competence in his students. He will certainly tell you so. Despite his criticisms, I really enjoyed learning about human behavior and business through a well-experiened professor/professional. Take good notes on theorethical models and read his instructions carefully for the essays .
