Grading a bit too competetive; on the arrogant side, but good lecturer
Entertaining.

Boring teacher but loaded with good ideas
He's a very good professor i would say. Lots of great ideas and resources in class. The video clips he has can make you laugh and make you cry.

robinson's a bit arrogant with that english humor of his, but he's way better than banks. midterms are prety easy although the class s rally competitive. BE PREPARED FOR THAT!

Arrogant guy with unfair grading scale, but his lectures are good.
Prof. Robinson's teaching wasn't very effective because the BA 10 lectures are too large.
Granted, he's arrogant, but he's the first to admit it. All the same he's an excellent lecturer and a great person to know. Get to know him early and his advise and counsel will help you in the years to come.
interesting class. he knows his stuff. interesting to listen to. come to class earlier and get a seat...I didn't like the section format.
Prof. Robinson is conceited and unsympathetic to student needs. His teaching and helpfulness are limited to lectures.
You have to earn his respect, and have to learn to understand his personality. But afterwards he can be a great resource of information about the business world.
When faced with missing a midterm upon the death of a close relative, I requested an extension so that I could attend the funeral. Robinson looked at me and said "Welcome to the real world, kid. Be here on Friday, 9AM, or you will fail the midterm.&q
Good guy!
While some may say that he is arrogant, I think that he does a superb job at maintaining and earning the respect of a class--perhaps one of the most competitive in Berkeley--of over 600 students. Be respectful and pay attention. Class will be a breeze.
very clear
He is a fair professor. He might be impersonal at times (especially when it comes to test examinations and grades) but he is a business man and most business people aren't nice to begin with. He lacks "emotional intelligence" but excel as a prof
in teaching, he practices the business principles he teaches about, so he's constantly improving the class, trying to make students happier. the class is very efficient, fair, user-friendly. great prof.
He's one of the better lecturers who teach BA 10. The lady (whose name i dunno because i only went to one of her lectures) is sooooo boring.
Although he is cocky, his teaching style is very good.

This wussy has no emotional intelligence. He thinks he is intelligent but as a matter of fact, he only knows a little bit of **** and keeps bragging about it. Welcome to the REAL WORLD, Dave Robinson
He's a jerk. Very arrogant, snobbish. His curve is not that great. I would not take a core business class with him.
He is pretty arrogant, but he is good as far as teaching goes. This class is pretty competitive though, so don't expect to get a fabulous grade.
Class was easy, much better lecturer than Himmelstein or Banks who also teach the class. Very competitive, 540 people and only 55 A and above grades. Changed curve after the final exam, not very ethical for a professor that prides himself on ethics.
Plays favorites but is a decent teaching prof.
better teaching style than Banks and Himmelstein. he shows some interesting ads/commercial that applies to our learning, but he goes over material really fast and some things are really unclear. efficient but has bad attitude.
Lectures are an absolute must. All you need to know for tests will be covered in lecture and corresponding notes...so listen up! Very little suprises on exam days.
ummm...i would say that Professor Robinson is a very clear and efficient teacher, and he does try to be funny...whether he actually is...no comment. he tries to convey the business-like attitude, so he comes off as arrogant.
this guy lacks intelligence in general....poor character, not helpful at all......wont even take the time to answer questions after class or in office hours....he's a total stuck up poor excuse for a professor
like the donuts - nice touch. smart + works hard. Very fair but must work ass off. can be a prick. quite a stickler too. otherwise good professor
Robinson is an ass, yes, but he is also a great lecturer. I always found him entertaining and engaging, even at 9 in the morning. I think UGBA 10 is a great class to take, except for all the anal haas bound kids mucking up the curve.
SOO arrogant and thinks that his way is better than anyone else's. He's NOT helpful. I have to admit that he's a great lecturer (by normal standard and in comparison to the other two lecturers). Class is hard if you don't go to lectures.. and READ!!
This class isn't hard by Berkeley standard. It's just hard for freshmen, not used to Berkeley academics.
Funny guy, great lecturer. However, the class was early and you need to get down everything he says for the exam. Expected, and pleasurable course.
This class is all hype. Just moderate class.
This class is hard? lol Too many people got As.
Fantastic lecturer - a refreshing difference from the other two professors of this course. Excellent use of video clips, images, etc to keep lecture interesting. May come off as arrogant, but is nevertheless approachable and very precise/clear about expectations.
He's really intimidating at times, but if you go into office hours and just talk to him, he'll be very helpful and sweet. Business is a difficult class, but as long as you put in the work hours, you can definitely get an A. Robinson is straightforward and to the point in lecture.
The materials are very easy and tests are fair. Not as difficult or competitive as hyped -people just trying to hinder others from majoring in Business. :)
He's concise and to the point. He's also very smart. Don't ask stupid questions though. And by stupid, I mean materials he had already gone through in class. Cause he'll make you feel really embarrassed by repeating exactly what he said in class.
Unfortunately, not a lot of depth to the teaching. Not great practical learnings or takeaways. Not very strategic in lessons either. Easy class, but may not be worth it.
Boring class that singlehandedly managed to deter me from the Business Major. The material was pure memorization and gives a very factitious understanding of the business world. If you enjoy memorization --> take the class. The professor was hilarious tho.
mildly interesting. makes the class a bigger deal that it really is. gsi's really need to control students from making stupid comments during section. tests do not demonstrate student understanding, as they are all multiple choice. very organized. i always new what was going on in the class. business major at CAL is overrated. major in ECON!
He hates it when people don't go to lecture (he awards less As if that happens). In the midterms, he puts materials that are totally unrelated to the course but he jokes about in the lecture. This will require you to be very attentive in class. You have no choice anyway--he manages this class every single semester.
Interesting course. As long as you go to lectures and discussion, you'll get an A.
Dr. Robinson is hands down the most organized professor that I've had at Cal. He presents the material with great clarity, not to mention the great sense of humor he has. People (haters) who criticize him because they are either late to lectures or disresepct Dave. He is an AWESOME individual, as long as you don't get on his bad side.
He is well-organized and makes lectures fun but he treats students like little kids and tries to intimidate them. I respect him as a teacher but I have no respect for him as an individual.

Thank you Big Dave for helping me become one of the biggest baddasses ever to push here in the Bay Area. Where would I be without your encouraging words of wisdom!

I had Robinson for BA 10 and Marketing. Positives: He's professional and strives for clarity in the material. Negatives: His grading system is a joke. His tests are so easy that differentiation between students is often a matter of luck. I did well, but
Does not teach like a normal large-lecture professor. Makes class very interesting by spicing things up (walks in audience, shows movie clips, gives out food)
Very unique "New England-ish" lecture style, makes it memorable. Helpful for tests and what you need to know, especially in 106. Unfortunately he can be prejudice and unfriendly if he haphazardly decides that he doesn't like you, which is depressing.
I guess he comes off as a little bit arrogant (or more than a little bit), but I will give that he is a decent lecturer. Better than the 2 that followed him that semester, anyway.
Be proud of the fact that you're British!!!!
I like the way he makes the large lecture seem more intimate - he visits sections, walks around class, hands out "prizes," and asks students questions directly. Sometimes, he can be a bit arrogant or intimidating, but overall, good professor.
He's one of those professors who you either adore and respect, or resent and hate. On one hand, he is intelligent, organized, and respectful of everyones time. On the other, he's demanding, arrogant, and pompous. I'm not sure what his approach to teaching is, but his courses are extremely demanding, yet once you get used to his style, it's easy.
Jerk. Arrogant. Pitiful. Not even a business major.
AWESOME MENTOR
grading sucked, professor sucked, don't take him
arrogant, intimidating! im so scared to ask him questions after class, he makes me feel stupid. but lecture wise, he's clear and makes the class interesting. the grading really sucks cuz if you miss one then ur dead. good class, scary prof, interesting material. that's all.
he is arrogant, but knows enough to justify his cockiness. Make sure you write down all the examples and basically everything he says in class, otherwise, you won't do well on tests. He gives interesting examples and makes class pretty lively. read the reader twice!! and don't miss a single assignment if you want to do well! You can't slack in BA10
While he is somewhat arrogant, Prof. Robinson makes class interesting by walking around, asking questions, and handing out prizes. He also makes a lot of funny jokes, and his lectures make very good current references so we understand them. Tests are somewhat difficult.
arrogant and vindictive. what a horrible professor.
He's a pompous, rude, arrogant, and some what sadistic, profressor who has no qualms about humiliating you in front of your fellow class mates. He would like nothing more than to see you squirm and cry.
Robinson is a pretty good professor, better than the other two at least for BA 10. He made lectures interesting. I enjoyed how he involved the class by walking around. He also was straight to the point so you didn't get too tired. The class is pretty easy, just really competitive. Easy to get a B, harder to get an A.
yes, he's an arrogant british guy. but that doesn't make him a bad teacher. he knows his stuff and the lectures are fairly interesing. he gets snippy when people are late or walk in with headphones during a mod exam or when no one answers his questions. but just don't mess around and it's a fun class. way better than the other two lecturers.
worst teacher i've had in my life. ruined an otherwise interested class. treats students and graders horribly. avoid taking him at all cost. He even tells students his goal is to make them so upset they throw up.
It's no doubt that Robinson is a pretentious ass. That he'd rather humiliate you than teach you. Other than his personality being as interesting as a rusty spoon, his lectures are pretty forward and material is taken right from them and the articles. So really pay attention and just ignore him. Himelstein is cooler anyway.
Worst professor ever, he's out to get you. Accused ppl of cheating when they didn't. Too bad you have to take him if you are Haas intended
Good professor, interesting lecture, must more interesting than Christina Banks. Could be rude for people who don't follow rules (like not turning your phone off, eat in class, etc). Paper could be hard but tests are fairly ok if you take really good notes in class and do previous tests.
aw, i can't believe that people gave professor robinson such bad ratings! his lectures are the best of all the ones given for ba10. he's funny and just generally entertaining, although his lectures WONT prepare you for those stupid papers (they WILL prepare you for the tests).
Gigantic ****. I'm glad somehow I made it with an A in the class but the key is to be the biggest tool in discussion possible (suck up, kiss butt, etc). It's amazing how I would get shot down by those tools for approaching some topics from a non-corporate **** perspective.
Huge ****!
Robinson is an arrogant, self-centered, rude, and annoying professor. The class was completely NOT worth 3 units because there was too much work involved. His lectures were okay, although his marketing one was pretty entertaining and interesting. Don't take BA-10 unless you HAVE to for pre-business.
BA 10 material is not challenging; the class is just INTENSELY COMPETITIVE. It's full of pre-haas/econ majors, what do you expect, they all have to care about a high GPA, so expect LOTS OF COMPETITION. Tests aren't too bad, it's the papers that will kill you, I agree you have to suck up to the GSI's to get a good grade. OK class.
Robinson isn't even a professor; he's a lecturer. Arrogant, rude, condescending (what kind of professor tells you to leave if your cell phone goes off?), but he gets the job done and presents his information efficiently. Tests are much to easy for a competitive test so that if you miss one problem, your A is gone...
While Robinson does succeed in making the subject of business interesting, he's such an ****. The dude needs to lay off Asian boys
Good at engaging students.
Yes, everything you've heard about Robinson is true; making his students cry, British arrogance, the thing for Asian boys, and his class is hard. BUT, hes one of the best teachers I've had. He's clear, doesn't rely on a book, he knows the topics, and when you get to know him he can be very nice. Take his class and his section, it will be worth it.
I actually took several classes with him. He's actually a fair professor. He can be mean, arrogant, and condescending. You can learn from him, but you also need to re-evaluate whether his recommendations fit your style. Pay him some respect, and he will offer mentoring. I've known him throughout my 4 year undergrad. Never heard of asn boy craze.
Didn't like it, period. Although the material was interesting, I hated the class. A lot of work for a 3 unit class. Four written briefs, one case presentation, midterm, final.
Witty, condescending, funny, interesting, rude- all you've heard is true. He knows business. It's a good intro class but if you can't take a somewhat mean, sarcastic, but witty professor, you'll hate him.
The class isnt hard but the grading is. Its not unusual for you only to be able to miss 3 questions to get an A. I never looked at old tests, doubt if it helps b/c a lot of the test is on the ex he gives in class. Sometimes he will give practice questions in class and then they'll show up on the test. The class is geared so that if you come to lecture you have an advantage. He is married, has a daughter, and loves ABA. Essays are due in section so make sure that your section is on a day that you'll be able to get something written before (I recommend thursdays).
GO TO LECTURE and PARTICIPATE IN DISCUSSION and you will probably be fine. just write down every word that comes out of his mouth and memorize it before the test. modules are not cumulative. robinson is a GREAT lecturer - made business really interesting! never fell asleep.
Full of himself. Very bad jokes, as all his jokes are about his jokes being bad. A very uncultured man (all he knows belongs to his field), who thinks that teaching an introductory business class to an extremely easy audience (freshmen) is enough to behave like the secretary of state. No need to buy the books or the reader.
The class is pretty simple, but you only do as well as the person next to you and the essays or pretty much either hit or miss. Go to lecture b/c he gives answers in the beginning and quotes himself word for word on some the test questions.
While lecture attendance is not mandatory, you should go if you want a good grade. Class is extremely competitive, so definitely participate during discussion sections. Test questions are taken from readings and lectures. Can be funny but often times more condescending.
Great lecturer. Go to class if you want a good grade...majority of the questions on tests are from lecture. Easy class, but the grading system (by rank) sucks..if you slack off on one assignment or test you'll go down like 30-40 in rank.
One of the most awesome lecturers at Cal. Go to his lectures, b/c most of the Qs on the exams are straight out of the lectures (about 90%), the rest come from the reading(reader+textbook). Gives out candy bars during lectures, cracks a lot of jokes. Don't believe the rumors about him being an ****, you'll know once you see him.
I personally did not enjoy this man whatsoever! To me, he isn't that intelligent, my dad who only has a high school education can teach it! Anywho, its too competitive and you wont get an A since its cut throat. But go to class and PAY ATTENTION & u'll be straight. i'm out!!
A very intelligen professor. Lectures are very interesting. The class itself shouldn't be so hard but the curve makes it really hard and very competitive (especially in sections).
Robinson is a great teacher. Lectures are clear and interesting. As others have said, most of the test material is from lecture. Class is competitive, but only because of the nature of the students taking the class. He's a nice guy, go to his OH's!
YES!! GO TO CLASS AND PAY VERY CLOSE ATTENTION, REMEMBER EVERYTHING THAT COMES OUT OF HIS MOUTH BECAUSE IT WILL BE ON THE EXAM. THE ESSAY ASSIGNMENTS ARE GRADED TOUGH SO DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE NIGHT BEFORE TO DO IT..TRUST ME!! HE IS A GREAT PROFESSOR I HAVE TO SAY, PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST, I LOVED THE CLASS VERY INTERESTING.
Okay he can be alittle annoying but i think he is one of the best lectures in Haas. He knows what he wants out of you and participate in discussion. ALl the GSI are really good and very experienced and very helpful. GO to lecture it's worth it for both grade and knowledge and read the text book if u are going to be business major and read the reade
Everything that comes out of his mouth is potential exam material. So pay very close attention. I like his lecturing style. He's very good at engaging the class a lot of what he says is common sense. His exams are easy, pay very close attention in lecture, take good notes, and you'll do well. Papers are very time consuming, so don't procrastinate
an ok teacher, except everything is made subjective to his POV. grading is pretty fair...except he is the biggest tool i have ever met. he always interrupts people when theyre about to correct him, and he acts like we should praise the ground he walks on. doesnt help that some brownnowers actually do.
great lecturer, annoying personality. It's a tradeoff with him. Overall I enjoyed the class though.
useful information. cool prof, gives out snickers candy bars and money. participate in demos. stinky grading curve. definitely pay attn in lecture and read text-exam qs right from there
All Haas-intended have to take this class. Robinson teaches it very well. His lectures are very clear and he is able to engage students even if the material is common sense at times. Class is graded VERY fairly. It is an easy A for anyone with any business sense. Book isn't really needed because everything is from lecture or reader.
Robinson is an amazing lecturer. He cares about every detail of lecture from the music to the candy bar he hands out. And he genuinely cares about the students. But he does not care for bad students and disruptive students. Lectures are very important for exams. Over 90% of the exam ?s come from lecture. VERY hard to get Solid A. But A- isn't hard.
Extremely difficult/time consuming, but really really rewarding- learned a lot about marketing. Attendance in lecture is crucial, and section attendance is mandatory. A lot of assignments (briefs, group project/presentation, midterm), but worth it. GO TO OFFICE HOURS! They're really really helpful on the briefs and you'll find he's not that bad.
Some interesting material, but the unforgiving grading system got in the way. The material & tests were super easy, but missing a couple questions meant death. The class focuses too much on simple memorization, and it is too choppy with the separation of modules. Go to every lecture b/c questions come straight from there, & study slides & books
Very interesting class, I learned a lot and developed a great interest in marketing because of this course. Grades are based on write-up cases, presentation, exams, and attendance. MUST attend lectures coz finals is just what he said the whole semester. Attitude can be a li'l off-putting sometimes, but he is helpful during office hours.
Lectures are generally interesting and attendance is mandatory; UGBA 10 is a very competitive course even though the material he teaches is not hard, so it's really recommended you really follow him closely during lectures because 1-2 questions on an exam makes a huge difference in your module grade and overall grade.
Has a very sarcastic sense of humor. he's a pretty good professor overall but just because he's a good professor doesn't mean you'll get an A. Tests are "easy" but missing a few questions will kill your grade. Cut throat competition. i recommend you to take p/np if you are not majoring in business and only want to get exposed to it.
Ugba 10 is a pretty difficult class to get an A, and Robinson is the kind of lecturer who goes really fast and expects that you can understand everything the first time. Essays for the course are graded with strong biases and the tests and essays decide if you're getting an A or a B.
Easy class. If you go to lec you dont even have to read the book. It is ranked which makes it more difficult but its still a 3 unit easy class.
Great at teaching but is not very sympathetic. If you don't have to pursue an issue with him. . . .don't. He is not the nicest professor you will ever come across.
He wasn't "easy", but I learned more in his classes than I have in any others. I appreciated his not tolerating disruptions in class, like cell phones going off. What I learned in his BCom course is useful years after graduating. Some students didn't like him because he takes his job seriously--their loss--they don't speak for me.
Professor Robinson takes his job very seriously, so much so that if students aren't on time to class he'll punish the whole class with a harsher curve. I learned a lot and pushed myself very hard. Sometimes he can be very nice/helpful and other times he just gets fed up with students. If you care about grades though, I'd go elsewhere.
One of the meanest teachers I've encountered at Cal. He would publicly humiliate individual students for things like bringing coffee to class. UGBA10 isn't hard. Just bring printed slides to class and take down EVERY word Robinson says. His tests reflect his lectures very much, so attend every class and pay attention to what he says.
A little intense. But the info is pretty easy. Tests and essays are graded in comparison with your peers. Business people are exactly the brightest light bulbs out there, so it's overall an easy class if you bother.
This teacher is an egomaniac. The material is not too hard and he likes to have his bs fed back to him on tests, but do not (I repeat DO NOT) ever bother to ask him questions. He will just ridicule you!
robinson is ridiculous and the class is a joke. there was an exam question once about laundry. this is what you call a prereq class for haas?
Very interesting and humorous lecturer. As a senior, besides finance, this has been one of the most fun and enlightening classes I have taken. It's an 8am class I actually enjoy going to because Robinson makes lecture interesting. He's strict but if you have common sense, nothing bad can happen to you. I think it's funny that people complain, lol.
must go to lectures. his module test questions relate to the tiniest things he discusses in lecture.
Chiller in a smaller class. He is ruder in big classes like BA10 and at the beginning of 100. Follow the rules and don't say anything stupid. He grades easily. You either get an A or B in this class. A's are easy to get. No curve.
Good news is that he is very clear as to what he expects on each assignment. However, Dr. Robinson's demeanor toward students can be frustrating. Students were inadvertently discouraged from asking questions because he tended to be condescending, at times humiliating students in front of the entire class. "Know-it-all" attitude. Grading is fair.
Sarcasm aside, he rewards hard work and punishes laziness. Dig further for critical details in addition to what he lectures. He made some rather biased arguments that you need to take with a grain of salt, but I was surprised that of 600 people no one for once pointed out the biases. Maybe everyone else was afraid of be picked on like me.
Want to spend time worrying about your grade and listening to a cryptic lecture with not so funny jokes that might appear on an exam? take this course.
Best professor ever. Yes, he can be a bit harsh/rude but if you don't do anything stupid and follow his directions, he is fine. He is a great lecturer; very engaging and entertaining. His examples to explain topics were so interesting. I loved this class. The curve is definitely killer. But, I would take any class from Robinson for no credit.
Great prof. Very engaging lecture style and knowledgeable about the subject. Generally accessible during office hour and willing to answer questions. Exams are usually straightforward and heavily focused-on the PPT and lecture - but beware that the curve is extremely competitive.
After 3 classes with this man, I've realized that he doesn't teach; he just expects you to repeat stupid facts that he believes. His class material is so easy that your grades are determined by small points. Competition with other students for these tiny points is fierce. I didn't really learn much about marketing other than his small points.
Robinson's a great professor, he woke me up every morning with interesting information and then made me study it with his difficult, but fair exams. study the lectures and you're fine
Probably one of the best professors ive had to date at berkeley. he was interesting and used examples that really helped. the curve may be a little harsh, but the prof is definitely worth it.
You will not learn Marketing in his class. You will, however, learn his personal dislikes and likes on the subject. His midterm and test have nothing to do with marketing terms or ideas, its all based on what he said or didn't say during lecture. Absolutely Rubbish! I studied my a** off using the required book and I learned marketing on my own. :(
LOVE this class.
Easily the most competent instructor I have met at UC Berkeley. Very organized and fair. An effective manager and generally intelligent human being. I am very glad to have had a class with him!
this was the best professor I've had period. He made the lectures entertaining and if you come to his office hours you get candy!
Clear professor with a British accent. Print out PowerPoint slides and go to all lectures to listen to the points he gives in class - these will be tested to "reward" students who attend lecture at 9 am on a Friday morning. All memorization, multiple-choice exams; simple statistics (percentages) are tested. Easy to get a B+; difficult to get an A-.
I never thought I would find myself asking for a more difficult exam, but Robinson's test questions are so painstakingly shallow that his exams end up being a nerve-wrecking memory match game instead of a fair test of knowledge. Not to mention the obnoxious egotistical attitude of the professor that you have to deal with 3x a week at 9 am.
Professor Robinson is one of the best professors at Haas. Unfortunately it comes at a huge cost. Class participation is a large part of your grade, but he reserves the top scores for his "favorites" regardless of the quality of your answer. His narrow view of the world allows for only his perspective to be correct. Class is for the strong-willed.
Robinson is an engaging lecturer, and rewards you on the tests if you attend class. My problem was more with this course than the class, however. Grading is brutal, GSIs were too tough on the papers, other students were obnoxious and hyper-competitive. Don't take this if you are not interested in attending haas! Otherwise take it p/f
Robinson looks for a certain answer in briefs, section, and presentations. He expects much from students but is very fair. Advice: attend all lectures, form a study group, and contribute meaningfully to section (which means you should read each case at least twice).
Here's how to succeed in this class: 1) sit in the front row and participate heavily in discussion sessions. He gives best grades to his favorites. 2) Read the slides and cases before discussion sessions. The tests are basically based on the slides, so study them well. 3) Don't miss his email. He gives you instructions on how to do cases in them.

Definatly a Haas-whole, but he is very clear on what he wants and what u should know.
More work than this class was worth. It's mostly arbitrary and subjective. I was lucky enough to have Fanning as a TA, who was incredibly helpful and supportive.
Helpful, and clear.
Not very helpful when you ask him questions. He's not very clear when he explains concepts. Doing well in the class means memorizing all the facts and examples he gives.
Must go to lecture, his test questions are very annoying and tests on things he says in class that arent on lecture slides or in the book. I fell asleep alot in class and i suffered from those questions. after the test, over like 10 of the problems were just random things he said.. extremely harsh curve, so each point is crucial.
UGBA10 is an annoying class with a cruel curve in and of itself, but Robinson is a good professor. Exam questions are fair, although very specific, because he wants to guarantee students go to lecture: not very good for slackers. He hates beating around the bush, but as long as you're clear with questions, he will provide very useful answers.
He knows exactly what he wants from his students, and he will make it crystal clear through his instructions & emails. Follow guidelines, listen in lecture and be the bigger person, and you will do well in his classes. Bad professor but humorous and excellent instructor. Not for the weak hearted.
Encourage interactions in class. Students need to participate in class and play a part in steering the direction of discussions of the class. Textbook is not used in class at all as he encourages independent study.
never went to class found it pointless, lectures were extremely boring. everything you need to know is put up on power points but the three tests he administers have 100 questions so no matter how much you study a lot of questions seem unfamiliar. he curves a lot and provides three assignments that are worth 10 % pretty easy course overall
Comes to exact point, Its helpful in business world.
Arrogant, rude, disrespectful, subjective.. Did I mention that he is arrogant, rude and disrespectful? He does not give you credit unless it is exactly as he thinks.. I put "sorta interested" because I went into the class with high hopes, but this guy really destroyed the subject for me.
Know his stuff just doesn't know how to convey it. There are tests every single week.
We all thought he was the worst teacher even the first day-week of class. But he does this to get out the students who are not serious. Then he is funny, helpful and approachable. Needless to say I took him twice. If you are smart and contribute to class he will recognize you and be a great ally in both your future education & business endeavor
He is very demanding when it comes to class participation, he rank you every week. Be aware!
Fantastic professor! Took him for UGBA 167. He's strict but fair. Doing the reading (cases), coming to class, and participating is a MUST, but you can mostly skip the textbook. Don't expect an 'easy A' but if you're honestly interested in the material and willing to put in some time, MOST DEFINITELY take this class!
MBA267. Fantastic course lecturer, one of the best I have had in my life. Sure, the papers and midterm are graded pretty strictly but who cares? At the end of the day you are here to learn not to earn free A's. Very approachable professor too who gives fantastic career and life advice.
Professor Robinson is not personable, and can be very rude during office hours. Lectures are unorganized and he doesnt like being corrected. Avoid him at all costs.
Professor Robinson is an amazing lecturer, the best i had since I started my academic career
He assumes that everyone could instantly understand his hints. He uses his own logic and ignores others which made him quite disrespectful and arrogant. Basically, if u feel that u are not on the same page with this professor, drop it, or u will suffer from his attitude. His class material is useful though.
He is a great professor. If you are a international student who have never taken any classes in the US, I strongly recommand you to take Professor Robinson's class. Because he would upload files that tells you how to write in business style, how to do a case analysis properly, etc. It is really helpful for new students. ps: Participation matters!!!
The curve on the tests is horrid (38/40) to get at least an A and the exam questions are worse. Amazing lectures but the tests and homework will keep you awake all night.
