He is a GREAT! 4 papers, short journal assignments and a few 5 question quizes are the only things u have grades for. The lectures are more like a conversation he has with our small class. No in-class assignments unless doing a workshop on a paper. Always willing to answer questions over email or in class! Take him! You won't be disappointed! :)

Take him... so easy! only 4 papers and some journals. his quiz are only worth 1 pt each. The class itself is like talking not teaching. Loved this class easy grade for a non english person.

He is very helpful, knowledgeable, and cares about his students. He's fun and easy to listen to. He allows freedom in the papers and in the class. It's a lot of work but it's easy and you actually care about your work. He takes the time to comment on papers. He's the best teacher I've have so far in my college life. I've taken him for 2 classes!

Loved his class. He is a really good teacher. His lecture sessions are more like group conversations. There are not many points that can be earned but there isn't much work either. Dave is hilarious. Helps as much as possible and always responds to emails. He makes it so that if you mess up, its your fault, not his. super smart and easy. TAKE HIM.

He's always availible for questions and always willing to help. He can sometimes be picky with his essays but if you show him youre trying you'll do well in the class. Really cool guy!

A big chunk of your grade is participation so go to class! 102 will never be easy but if you go to class and try you will surely pass. He always give writing tips too!

He is helpful and provides lots of guide. I felt like this class should be for only eng major students. He grades a bit harder and points out every mistakes. And you have to submit your essay on time, else, your marks will be deducted. Surprise quizz and extensive use of text book. Choose good short stories & u hav 2 write thought on Blackboard.

It was his first time teaching 232 and I think he did a wonderful job! he is very funny and nice! you have a journal due everyday before class. you read several things from the book and write a little about them. tests are easy as long as you read the sections and study a little. a few in class quizes, easy! i would take him again!

As soon as I walked into Dave's class on the first day, I knew I would love Dave. He is such an awesome teacher and you can tell that he loves and lives to teach. He made English fun. He did make us work hard, but that only strived us as students to work harder. I do not regret signing up for his class, and you won't regret it either.

Dave was totally awesome! He cares about his students and when seeing them around campus will call you by name and say hi. He's funny and gives a new life to a subject that is so often loathed. He is willing to go out of his way to help you. If you don't like sarcasm, I don't recommend that you take him, though.

By far the best professor on this entire campus. He is SO funny and really cares about you as a person and your grade. He is not easy but is more than willing to help you pick your grade up. He is amazing and if you get the chance to take him you will in no way regret it.

THIS MAN IS HILARIOUS!! it is a class that you can absolutely pass if you put forth any effort. You write a few papers and take quizzes on the things he has 600 times.. TAKE HIM!!

This is my second time taking Dave and I wouldn't have wanted anyone else as my teacher. His American Lit class is super easy. Basically, if you come to class, listen to the things he repeats and puts on the board, you will get an A on every quiz. He is so helpful with your grade and really tries to make the class interesting. A MUST TAKE!

Dave is so nice, love his class. He is always willing to help everyone. I also think he is funny as he is always making these jokes lol! I highly recommend taking his class!! Grades a little tough but you always exactly why you got the grade you received

Would absolutely recommend for any class. Works with you through every step of writing each paper, and grades them very leniently. In-class tests are super easy, and common sense. You would have to try to get a bad grade in his class.

I absolutely hated this class. Before coming into this class I felt like I was a pretty good writer, until I took Dave's class. His grading scale is really tough and he takes off for every little thing. I missed 2 classes and he gave me an 80 in participation. Luckily I ended up with a B in the class. DO NOT TAKE HIM!!!

Dave is pretty cool and I'd suggest him if you are great at writing papers and do not need much help. He helps more outside of the classroom than in it. Gives some extra credit opportunities. If not a good writer I'd suggest trying the opportunities. He gives small but easy quizzes. His grading is pretty fair. And he cracks a lot of jokes.

I took him for 102 and 232 and I made an "A" in 102 and right now I have a 103 in 232. SO you could say he is pretty easy. For 232 we have a midterm and a final and 4 quizzes. He does make you do online journals each day but they really just prep you for class so they aren't any trouble. Takes maybe 5 min to write the journal for each class.

such a caring professor. will do anything to help you out. he wants all students to not only pass BUT LEARN. i enjoyed taking him, and will take him again for Eng 232. gives multiple opportunities to make a good grade on papers, helps students revise papers until it is perfected, gives very clear and helpful feedback.

You know someone's a good professor when you get angry because you can't take anymore classes from him because of your major. I love Professor Rodriquez. Anytime I was confused, he was QUICK to respond to my email. And would make his response, crystal clear, and even go over related topics concerning my confusion. And even though the class was online, he was quick to offer an in person appointment to help me.

Took english 102 online and although I was hesitant at first it turned out to be the best decision I ever made. I received just as much feedback if not more than a regular face to face class would have given me. Great teacher and you can really tell he loves his job. Take him and you won't regret it!

Rodriquez is the most awkwardly hilarious guy I have ever met. Class was awesome and he can make a weird, dry humor joke out of anything. The class in general sucks but he tries to make it bare-able. PAY ATTENTION TO THE ASSIGNMENT SHEET. he gives a few short quizzes but doesn't say anything the class before because they are on the assignment sheet

Dave is an awesome professor! He explains things very clearly his personality keeps the class entertaining. He makes it very clear what he wants from you. KEEP UP WITH THE ASSIGNMENT SHEET. It's a very basic thing. It tells you what you'll need to have done before class and when quizzes are. He's quite understanding. I'm taking him again for 232.

He is very energetic and enthusiastic when it comes to his Lectures. I took him for both 102 and 232 and enjoyed every class. His personality makes me want to come to class and he keeps it entertaining. He can get off topic if you ask questions and then cracks jokes about how the class is going no where.

He is really good at what he is does. The classes are hilarious, but still within respectful bounds. He organizes the class is such a detail, I wish every other professor would do so. Class wasn't that difficult, but wasn't just an easy one too. Feedback on papers were very helpful, and improved my writing a lot.

He was very straight forward in his expectations for the class. He offers plenty of opportunity for points in the class and almost always offers bonus points on the quizzes. If you do the journals, study for quizzes, and complete the two papers that go along with the multiple choice and short answer midterm and final you should get an A.

Online class. Quiz every week, journal every week--SUPER easy. 250 min on journals. Midterm essay and final essaysuper easy. This professor is really nice and assigns SHORT READINGS. Read the lectures (3 pages a week) and the material, and you'll do fine on the quizzes.

Dave was definitely my favorite professor of freshman year! his class was hilarious, and he truly cares for his students. if you do your essays and listen to his lectures you will make an A. he gives lots of bonus and his quizzes are simple questions about things he talks about in class.

Dave is the best professor I have encountered at Southeastern so far. Even for an online course, he organized the material so well as to avoid confusion. If you follow his directions in his lectures, you will make A's on your papers. He only requires three papers, so you will have to turn in your best work. He will prepare you for the proficiency.

David is that awkward, but funny guy. He's there for his students and dedicates class days for conferences with him in regards to your papers. There are 4 papers all semester and he won't make it due until after giving the previous paper back. Highly recommend taking David.

His quizzes are easy and short, studying isn't hard since he also gives you information on that. He is easy and breaks down everything for you and emails back you quickly.

theres total of 10 (200 word) journals, 5 quizzes and 2 essays (midterm and final). He is very easy to get in touch with and always gives great feedback. I took him online the first go round for 102 and had an amazing experience, so I was a little bummed out I couldn't do that again. However, I am so glad to have taken this class in person! I really did enjoy having David as a prof. He learns everyone's names by like the second week of school. He did a really great job of preparing you for the Literacy Exam.
