AWESOME!!!
The best calc professor at CCNY! We are blessed to have him! If you're doing bad in his class then it's probably the lack of studying. He explains things crystal clear. Very friendly and he cares about his students, he learns everyone's name by 2nd week of school. He makes calc class fun with his jokes and boy do you learn! Take him!!!
One of the best math professors I've ever had. He keeps the class engaged which makes you pay attention to the material. He also makes sure that everyone understands what's going on. If you manage to fail his class it's you.
Amazing professor! Teaches very efficiently so that you'll understand everything. His class is kept alive through his corny jokes which lightens the mood from the intense calculus you encounter. Very nice and cares about you. He is always there when you need him and ready to help you.
Very energetic, fun and cool professor... but his goes through class very quick, does not really have the teaching passion of making sure everyone completely gets what hes teaching....... needs to curve his grades, but overall he is not too bad.
He is such an amazing professor. He has a good sense of humor that keeps his students engaged in class work. He creates a great syllabus for the semester. He does a great amount of problems in class. He gives homework which makes you ready for his finals. He gives quiz on the last day of every week. He prepares you for final. He cares for students.
Absolutely one of the best math teachers at CCNY. He's a chill teacher at the same time teaches the subject with passion. He throws out a lot of corny jokes to keep the class engaged. He makes some of the quizzes take home which is awesome. He takes his time to explain the concepts and wants his student to do well. Take him if you can get him!
Excellent professor! Knows how to explain math while keeping the class interested and entertained with jokes (math jokes) and real-life situations where math is useful. TAKE HIM! You will never have as good of a math professor as him at CCNY. Note: He is also a high-school teacher, so he knows how to deal with students uninterested in math!
I would say overall, he is a great professor. He moves fast, and keeps you interested in the material no matter what it is! However he should be taken with care. When he says "My exams are a bit harder than the final"; it is not entirely true. I found his test to be no harder than the final. Also, he gives plenty of extra credit chances.
one of the best professors in the world. He cares about his students. Has a good sense of humor. I wish I get him for other math classes. If anyone fails in his class, then he/she should examine themselves. Exams are very reasonable and fair. HE CURVES, which is really helpful. Can't believe I didn't get him for Calc 1 and 2. Best professor.
Great professor! He goes through all the material pretty thoroughly and explains the concepts well. His quizzes and exams may be a bit difficult, but he gives many opportunities to bump up your grade and he curves. He's also a funny guy, so it's hard to get bored in class.
This is one of the best professors you can take at city college. He cares about this students, he's well prepared, and he's simply a great teacher. If you get the chance to take him, you should!!..... He is a bit more difficult than other math professors but that does not even matter because you learn the material well.... He's the best!...
Simply the best. He will teach you. But up to you to practice and show him you learned. Only then you can earn an A. must take!
Honestly one of the best professors at City College. He explains topics clearly and helps you a lot throughout the semester with take home quizzes and stuff. Hes a funny guy that keeps the class entertained. I wish I could take every math course with this guy. His exams are kind of hard but this is a good thing but just practice and youll do fine.
Honestly his class was a much needed decompression through out the semester. At the end of a long Tuesday and Thursday I always had Cal III to look forward to.
Really fun guy, even tho sometimes his jokes are lame! Really great professor all the same, he has his own way of teaching, and he gives every student a chance! You must not be trying if you cant pass his class!
All i can say is.... HENRY!!!! There is no doubt this man is the great professor with a rare gift . Somehow he was able to cultivate a class environment where we all had fun while at the same time learning some hard stuff. If i wouldn't have transferred I'd be in his calc 4 class as we speak... good times...
Great professor with great personality. Will teach you about math and life in general. Keeps you awake and working. He has a tot of teaching and coaching experience, so trust him, do exactly what he says and ask questions (in class or office hours). Quizzes are totally doable. Final was brutal though.
A great guy, really enjoys math and it shows. Easy to reach during office hours, doesn't mind helping. Strongly recommend.
Practicing everyday is much necessary in order to pass his class. Exams are tricky. PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE
You can't get anything better than Scheiman! I abs. love this professor, so nice and down to earth. He has two exams , plus the final. If you study your butt off its a guaranteed A or B for sure. He's awesome and gives extra credit where it is deserved.
Hes very difficult, his exams are hard, but hes nice.
He is a really funny and nice guy. He teaches the material very well and kinda quick. Doing the homework helps a lot. He gives out a lot of extra credit. The second exam is the hardest one. The class isn't hard if you know how to integrate and know some algebra, but the final is pretty tough imo.
Very clear, knows what he is doing don't just rely on his notes make sure u do the hw problems he assigns and you'll be fine
Great Professor ! Funny, understanding & laid back. I took MATH80 with him and he was always there to help. Honestly it was up to you whether you passed the class or not. If you do the work you'll do just fine on the exams.
He is funny and nice. He gave a lot of extra credit. He gave hard test but he will curve if he needs to. He really prepare you for final if you show up to class and did the hw. Best professor !!!!!
Very funny teacher always in a good mood and cares about whether his students pass or not. Very fair, understanding and will try and help you out as much as he can. Anyone scared of taking math in college need not worry if you start with him. Always accessible as he uses the Remind app so you can basically text him whenever, I highly recommend him.
Mostly online works, but he is cool he doesn't want you to fail. Try to get 70 up and Pass the exams, he will pass you!
Best Math professor. He's funny and really cares about his students passing. Do the online work, practice tests, and you'll be fine. You can text him whenever you have questions. He gives extra credit which is also a plus. I hope to take him for other math classes in the future!
Y should take him because he is SOOOOOOO HANDSOME !!!!! Every time I see him wearing a different fancy shirt. soo cuteSerious and responsible to tell you he is a best math prof of ccny. Believe me, he'll make you re-interested in math. I have seen so many math teachers, no matter in the US or other countries, he is the best teacher .
Scheiman is the best!!!
Scheiman is AWESOME! I was skeptical at first but then i warmed up to his personality. He is a very caring seemingly humble man. If you need help, he is available in and outside of class. He takes his time to make sure you understand . This course was great because we used an online course ($100)so we were able to do our work in and out of class.
He is different than other professor ! He makes you really interested in MATHS. Trust me I got freaked out at first cause everyone was complaining and I got exam anxiety actually and went to counselling !! But he just made maths so interesting and easy!! I really have to give hats off ! and funny by calling students initals PS I will miss him
great professor ! Responds back very quick, exams are really easy.
He is really funny and tries to keep you awake during class. But he couldn't explain well for some topics and he would just wanna get rid of them fast so you'll have to study hard on your own for those topics. Make sure you do the homework to really understand the materials. Overall a good professor.
Great professor. Has a great sense of humor and really looks out for his students.
Good professor, funny, makes sure you understand the concept in class, but homeworks are long and some of them hard. Take home quizes with fair enough dificilty questions. Test are challenging. If you love math and challenge, take him, otherwise you will suffer. But good professor overall, always joking the whole day and let you leave early.
Scheiman kept it real from day one. As long as you showed up and did the work, passed your exams you're gonna pass the class
David makes learning new subjects easy. 10/10 guy.
He was fine. Better than most of the professors at CCNY.
Has a great energy that keeps the class interested and engaged. Gives weekly (take home) quizzes, 2 midterms, and lots of homework. The problems he gives on the tests are typically more difficult than what you see on the department final, so you will be well prepared if you make sure to understand all of them. Overall great class. Would take again.
Funny and cool guy. Constantly cracking jokes and having fun while teaching. Some subjects he doesn't really go to into depth. The homework is a lot and quizzes are take-home. Drops a lot of quizzes and homeworks to give you the best grade possible. Classes ends early, which cood be good or bad. It's challenging but definitely one i don't regret.
great guy and gives takehome quizes just so you can do good, but alot of hw, his test are long but he is just preparing you for the final. take him if it is a option
Pleasure having him as a professor!
You won't regret it. Scheiman is so hilarious, active, and enthusiastic. Doesn't move on if at least one student doesn't understand something and they ask him for clarification. Very caring about his students. Extra credit everyday. Lean with homework. Take home quizzes. Exam review-very helpful. Curves if needed. Tries to finish the lesson early.
Great prof, super laid back, funny. Basically tells you questions to tests before the exam so you can prep super well.
Scheiman explains the material super well and always asks if there are any questions. He is really helpful and available if you have a question with a specific problem. He also makes sure that you are aware of what will be on the exams and has a review session the class before. It's clear that he loves math and he takes his job seriously.
I think he's the best math professor in CCNY hands down. This is my fifth math course and he's by far the best. He teaches really well, his exams are fair and lets you know what's on it exactly and his quizzes are take home. He's also really cool, if you pass on him you're making a mistake.
Even though this course is hard, this professor makes it easy. There are many quizzes but you can take them home to finish. If you finish your homework and quizzes, you will be fine. Anyway, I enjoy his course.
Well he is very picky about giving grades for silly mistakes, but he also makes sure to give proper bell curves for the second test. Be sure to do all homeworks and you'll be just fine!
Scheiman is very clear from day one on the curriculum, exams and the grading. He goes by the book and answers questions, so reading ahead of class or following along with the book helps. Homework can be time consuming at first, but helps in practicing. Gives take home quizzes that are 2 -3 questions that were part of the homework.
Hands down,A one of the coolest professor ever. He's funny and very passionate about teaching. I enjoyed watching him being so lively and fun more than materials he taught. DO whatever he tells you to do, and you couldn't be more prepared for his exams and the final .
Very chill, fun, nice, and easy to understand. Great sense of humor. Takes his time to make sure everyone understands before moving on. Common phrases include "No curveballs", "I don't want to hear ____'s new ringtone", and "Couple of tidbits of information". Homework is really helpful for tests and quizzes. Overprepares you for tests.
Awesome professor! He made class easy! HW and take home quizzes count towards final grade but drops 4 lowest ones. Two exams and lenient grader, will curve if necessary. Lots of opportunities for extra credit. Very funny and fun during lecture and tries to explain things clearly and make sure e/o understands. wish he did more examples in class
Honestly he teaches the content very well but i wish that there were not that many certifications (online lessons)due on the day of the exam which is also online. The exams are online which sucks because even a simple mistake like not entering a comma can make you get the answer wrong. The exams are pretty tough since they are a mix of all lessons
He is ok.
Professor Scheiman is a great professor. He is sort of fast in class but answers any questions during the lesson. He is energetic and keeps your eyes off the clock. 2 tests and a final count for 80 percent. Weekly take-home quizzes, Matlab, and Webwork counts for 20 percent. He is generous with partial credit. Would take again. Great Professor.
Amazing professor. Hes always on time. His lectures are very clear and hes answers questions well. He makes sure not to move on to a new topic if students are still confused and hes always ready to give out tidbits of information 10/10 would take again
Professor Scheiman understood the diversity of each student's math experience and developed them to be able to understand and achieve the course objectives. He was very clear in his expectations regarding the students reaching the course milestones. He was always accessible if we had questions and most importantly, he cared about our progress.
Definitely looks out for his students.
I was never the same after meeting him
Practicing everyday is much necessary in order to pass his class. Exams are tricky. PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE
This was a non credit class and the professor is very fun and one can understand whatever he teaches.
Great humor, he always engages the class and knew most if not everyone by name really quickly, he has a great vibe that allows everyone to be on their toes, he has no problem going back to a question and he asks multiple times if we understand because he knows some people can be shy, I once texted him a question in review week and he brought it.
He engages with his students and always asks if anyone doesn't understand the subject. But this isn't enough for this class. You MUST study in order to pass, if you don't then you may fail. Do the homework. Does tell you what the topic on the tests will be. I got a A in calc 1 and 2 but struggled in this subject. He is an amazing professor though.
After his class you will never need help with dating again. Laughed in ever single lecture, he is hilarious. He teaches very well and explains the concepts until you understand it. Just be careful if you don't have too much time, his class requires a lot of time. He gives a lot of homework but, it is good practice. If you want to learn take him.
Guy is great, he really cares for his students and make sure they pass. He gives a ton of homework but doing them helps with his exams! He moves fast and cracks a lot of jokes so it makes the class extremely enjoyable. Can't hate this guy
Scheiman was a very funny and caring professor. However, one thing to note is that he teaches rather fast, so it is very easy to get lost if you don't ask questions. Exams make up 80% of your grade, whereas your homework makes up the other 20%. As long as you study and do all the homework, you should be fine. Professor Scheiman made Cal3 enjoyable.
Scheiman made my semester pleasant because his lectures were never boring. He got straight to the point and if you needed any help with a problem he would go over it with the class step by step. I would highly recommend taking him. Phenomenal!
Such a great class. Definitely would recommend starting doing all the work as soon as possible. There's a lot of work to this course that the only down side. I would recommend studying for the quizzes and final because you wouldn't pass if you fail. He gives you similar questions so you will know what to expect. You have to work hard .
I took him for 203, and he was great. I feel that 203 is a hard class by itself, and his teaching style really helped me learn. Although there was a lot of hw, just try to do as much as you can. When i took him it was graded by completion. I would definitely take him again! He also prepared us well for the class exams!
Hes a really good professor, I recommend him for anyone that wants to take math. Im looking forward into taking more calculus classes with him!
Prof. Scheiman has a great way of engaging all different types of students (whether extrovert or introvert). He has an effect method of simplifying hard material into simple terms, makes learning the course so much easier!
Great professor! Knows how to keep a class interesting and not boring. Also gives out life advices such relationship advice lol. 100% would recommend!
I really liked his class, the prof is respecful, makes class amazing, I would recommand anyime who is going to take Math203 to take him.
Professor Scheiman is the best professor I've had so far. His clear presentation of basic math skills will allow you to confidently move on to higher math classes. I really enjoyed his positive energy and sense of humor. This is one professor who definitely cares about and respects his students.
Hes a really good professor would recommend him. Tests are a little bit harder than the questions covered in class or hw but honestly just practice and its not difficult to pass the class. This is coming from someone who hates and sucks at math so if i can do it then anyone can. And if you need any relationship advice, he got your back
Schieman is one of the best professors I have taken. His test are alright compared to other professors just practice a lot with the homeworks he gives. He is really funny too and the lectures are long but it is not boring.
Scheiman probably has the most personality in a teacher you'll ever have, lightens the moon immediately on the first day of class and makes the environment fun. However, if you're not on the group of people he cracks jokes with then he can show an attitude towards you. Also quizzes and tests are very hard compared to the class work, makes you work.
He might be one of the best professors at CCNY. Understanding of you go to him about anything. If you have the chance to, take him!
Important life lessons
important life lessons, teaches very well
One of the best professors for any math course. You're guaranteed to pass if you put in the work.
Two Exams and a Final and is super leniet with grading. Gives HW and quizzes plus extra credit points, Matlabs are long but weekly. If you do your part and try to learn the material, you will get the grade that you want!
This is by far one of the best, if not best, math professors you could find at CCNY. I am currently in his calculus 3 class, where throughout the semester he knows how to keep lectures interesting and interactive with students making it more enjoyable. I am a bad test taker so I am worried, but professor Scheiman always is caring and understandable
He is very good professor, I would definitely take him again. I recommend him for all students, cal3 is tough class and heavy, but this professor will hock you up and make it easy for you, two exam and a final, a lot of homework and matlab, but at the end its worth it.
If you wanna pass, no need to worry. He's got your back, he knows what we go through. Definitely recommend this professor for any class!
Scheiman is a genuine Professor who cares about his students passing. Hes always a text away if you have questions and he keeps you up to date with your grades throughout the semester. Hes vibrant and funny during lectures and usually ends early because he teaches very well.
He presented the material in a straightforward manner; there were rarely any times when I was insanely lost, and it's calc 3! There's a ton of homework to be done, but as long as you start early, definitely doable - and they help with the exams a lot. Also a really understanding and approachable professor for whenever you're feeling overwhelmed.
he mostly spent time on making the jokes but not focusing on teaching, just be aware of him
He is one of the most caring professors out there! Really nice professor and funny
Never struggled in a math class before until this course hit but that's just how 203 is. He made it less difficult. From the grading to how he teaches -- everything in this class works perfectly. Funny, caring, entertaining (you stay awake), straightforward, lenient, keeps you updated on grades, etc. HW is a lot but only 6% & obviously test heavy.
He is an excellent and caring professor who teaches the material in a much less complicated manner than it's presented in the book. However don't make my mistake where you assume you'll do well on tests without hw, just by understanding the concepts. I made that mistake and payed for it. But its still possible to do well even if you screw up once.
Professor Scheiman is a great professor and he'll always explain what you don't understand. Calc 3 is a pretty difficult topic but he tries to explain it as simple as possible. He does teach a bit fast though. Overall he's a good math professor and he cracks jokes in every class. He's also a text away if you don't understand something from class.
Professor scheiman is the best of the best for calc 3. Go to class and understand his lectures, Do the work, practice efficiently and often because calc 3 is not an easy subject, and know your calc 1/2 material very well because it DOES COME FOR YOU. Overall, this man is great, he delivers the material very solidly and also in a very humoristic way
Professor Scheiman tries his best to make his students feel comfortable. MAT203 is a hard class but Prof Scheiman allows you to text him and if you don't get something or are stuck, he will make sure you understand. One thing I like about his class is that his test reviews are from the departmental finals and the class atmosphere was enjoyable.
I used to hate maths before taking one if his classes. He makes sure everyone understands the material. Fair grading and class tests are usually from old finals. I thoroughly enjoyed his class and he is one of the best math professors in CCNY. )
Integrates very well with the material, knows what hes talking about. Uses real life situations to help you understand. Makes sure you understand the material. Three exams and a final. Quizzes are given every Friday.
he is the best professor i ever worked in city college
Professor Scheiman is hands down the best math professor at CCNY. He really cares about his students and understands the struggle. He makes class interesting for both engineering and math majors and is really passionate about teaching. Hes always available outside class to help and there are extra credit opportunities and ways to improve.
He's funny but an average teacher. He follows the textbook word for word although that might be good or bad on how you take it. The textbook was very helpful for me so him closely following it didn't bother me but it did bother others. There are weekly hw's but he graded on completion. Doesn't curve much except for a +5 out of 100 on final.
By far hes the best professor on CCNY. Ive takes MATH201,202,203,391 but for 392 i had professor Scheiman. If he was my professor for other maths Id understand the topics 10X Better and do well. Hes the best. Take him by all means!!!
Hes the best math professor in CCNY. Take him no matter what. Hes the best
He makes class interesting for both engineering and math majors and is really passionate about teaching.
I thoroughly enjoyed his class and he is one of the best math professors in CCNY.
he is the best professor i ever worked In CCNY
he is one of the best at ccny. he is so considerate with the homework and grading. he is so passionate about teaching and he also interacts with the student making them feel comfortable to participate and ask questions. his way of teaching made the final easy for me when the course was not that easy.
webassign access to do hw was $40. Lots of time to do hw but only 5% of your grade. Even tho I know a lot needs to get covered, he moves too fast. His handwriting isnt always easy to read since he rushes so I have to rewatch the entire lecture to catch up. But he does have an energetic personality so he isnt bad compared to other math profs...
Great teacher!
Math 21300 is a terrifying course. Math department does not allow many students to pass this course at all! The average score of this course is very low, only 55%-65%! The difficulty of the final exam given by the Math department is 1000+ of the homework! Please stay away from Scheiman's course! He will defeat all your interest and dreams
Great professor. Calculus 3 (Math 21300) isnt easy but proff Scheiman makes it easier. Departmental final drives me crazy but proff Scheiman prepares us for the final. He is definitely better than other math professors. Take him!
Scheiman is awesome, the math dept is the problem. But this review is about him, he is the best Professor Ive ever had at CCNY. Great teacher and VERY understanding. TAKE HIM if you can, and ignore the review where it said He will defeat your interest and dream cause thats completely false. I truly learned from Scheiman.
Scheiman is truly one of the best math teachers I've ever had. I enjoyed learning from him and calc3 overall. His teaching style was great, he kept students engaged even though our class was at night & his lectures were perfect for taking notes. His quiz & exam questions were fair & my grade only dropped from A+ to B+ bc of the awful dept. final.
He is really cool, and gives cool vibes. We were done dirty by the college. As our first test got canceled and we had to learn twice the amount and the exam was worth twice as much. People reading this may say well looks like he is a bad student but our class average would say otherwise. The class average is below 30%. There is no curve and extraC
This professor is good, he's funny and understanding. We had 3 tests all in person except for 1. Gave us study guides which were extremely helpful and the only reason I passed! Gave us homework every now and then and each homework was found in the textbook we had to buy.
He is a very kind professor who cares a lot about students. He keeps everyone happy while teaching.
I enjoyed the class
Professor Scheiman is by far an amazing professor. Really caring and really takes time for his students on material that they don't understand. Cracks jokes during class and he tries to relate to a lot of students. Super positive and kept the spirits up in class no matter how dead it was. Definitely study for tests but overall you'll be fine.
He made the class enjoyable! He was always willing to answer questions and help before and after class time. His test reviews were super helpful. Unfortunately, the department final can make or break you because it's 40% of ur grade.
Professor David is very funny, and he makes the lectures enjoyable and interesting. He clearly explains the material and makes it understandable. Although web-assigned homework is not required, many exam questions come from there, so don't forget to study. The exams are challenging, but if you prepare properly, you will have no problems.
Professor Scheiman is great!! His lectures are entertaining and funny while he teaches the material. He really cares about his students because he uploads lectures on BlackBoard for extra help. He also gives out Lecture Points if you notice any mistakes he can make and point them out during the lecture. Awesome teacher!
He is a good professor and will always motivate u
He is a very supportive professor. The course is very difficult so he tries to help you as much as possible to soften the impact of the test grades. For anybody who wants to take this course i recommend making the textbook your best friend. Honestly he made my life a lot easier despite the course difficulty. I highly recommend him, best of luck!!
Best math professor that I've had throughout CCNY. Even though I got a C, he's still the best since he explains himself really good, he always wants his students to pass, and he's always available outside of class. This is not an easy course so you need to do a lot of self-study. If you have the chance to take him, take him
#1 top pick for calc 3 hands down. He's a very passionate professor who loves teaching and every lecture was 100% worth my time. Calculus is difficult for me but with him, I felt like I learned so much and am proud of my progress
The BEST math professor I have had. His lectures are very entertaining and informative. He is very coherent at explaining things and make them clear. Always accessible in and outside class. Calc 3 a hard class but if u pay attention, you will definitely learn. 15% quiz, 5% hw, 20% each exam and 40% final. His exams are very reasonable. Awesome prof
He is the best prof so far, for all the calculus course tho I was in his calc 203 course. He wrote his own final exam and it was fair enough. I would take him again. I bet no one failed his course. You just have to put in the work yoo.
THIS is the professor you want !! Trust me, he is the most coolest professor ever, you get 2 exams and 1 final, exams were honestly not that difficult. If you do the quizzes and practice them, you'll do amazing on the exams. You cannot get bored in his class, he makes the class fun and enjoyable. He is a very caring professor.
His lectures are straight to the point with jokes at every corner it's very entertaining and he keeps me focused on the work.
very funny, wish the math department gave him more freedom
I would 100% advise you to take his course, he makes the lectures fun and engaging as well as makes you feel comfortable asking questions. He teaches the material very well and you can see he enjoys his job (which is rare these days.) He does his best to prepare you for tests. To top it off he replays to emails fast!!
I would take this professor any day and would recommend others to take it. Hilarious professor that finds ways to make math fun to learn with his dumb analogies. An easy class to pass if you do the work and put in the effort. Very well at lecturing and helping students understand topics. Overall if you ever take his class you'll never regret it.
1 thing I don't like: Was my very first semester, he answered me rudely when asked for the first quiz password. He's a fun professor. Loves his job but you MUST be on track. Everything is online. If youre the type to search up for answers and think you'll be fine, you won't be. Take advantage of what he does for you, but don't take him for granted.
I admit he's an interesting guy, but he's not a good lecturer. He's just reading a textbook. You can completely read the textbook by yourself.
He is not a bad professor, I categorize him more like a dude u would hang out with, he cuts his lecture early something and he basically does the book so u can just study by yourself, the first test is fair, but the second one is hell, even tho its 5 problems, chapter 5 is series and those take a long time, he included 2 of them so GL
You will enjoy to go to his class because he is interesting person. He will keep you active in his lectures by telling many jokes so you will not get sleep during lectures. But he is not good teacher. I did not learn in this class even he made cal3 more hard!
During the semester my father had gotten diagnosed with a neurodegenerative condition and I have been taking care of him all semester. I had emailed Prof Scheimen about this and asked for an extension on a quiz, he ignored it and would not take a paper copy. He was very cold and was not available during office hours. It was a horrible semester.
He delivers good lectures and he is probably one of the best educators at CCNY but he does not teach. I took him during summer semester so can't say about fall and spring but he is almost never in class. When ever he is its only for 20 mins. No point in going to his class. Just be prepared to learn from YouTube if you happen to take him.
this man cannot take anything seriously. his lectures are straight out of the textbook. if u come to him with a concern, he truly will not care. super unaccommodating to his students.
Take this man if u love math or hate math. Not super theory or proof focused like engineering students like it. Shows a lot of examples very nice grader and he loves nice suprises. Super insightful discussions before class and never takes class or life too seriously (in a good way). GOAT
He will never make you feel silly for having a question, even if he's repeating himself. Be open, honest, and communicative. P.S. he likes riddles
Very knowledgeable and kind-hearted professor. He'll occasionally go on a silly tangent, but usually relates it to the course material and brings it all back. I recommend taking his class if you don't particularly like math, I almost guarantee you won't mind it after!
his lectures are clear and made the topics interesting
Professor Scheiman is a hilarious, engaging lecturer who makes math fun. While the class requires effort, using Unstuck AI and the free textbook can be really helpful for study prep. Attendance is mandatory, but the workload is manageable.
