BEST teacher I've ever had!!! I absolutely HATE Govt but he made it interesting. He doesn't teach from the textbook, but instead teaches relevant things that make you think. All the test info comes from the chapter summaries and vocab. No homework. He's hilarious and you can't help getting involved in his crazy lectures. I recommend him to anyone.

Hilarious guy. If you're a right-wing Christian fundamentalist, welcome to heaven. If you're not, come with a high BS tolerance level and you'll still have a great time. It's all about debates and discussions and having fun. The tests are an afterthought, and a very easy one at that. At times annoying, but on the whole just plain entertaining.

Never a dull moment and never talked about the boring aspects of government. We discussed and debated government issues that apply to today, then our tests were over merely definitions in the book that we are to read on our own. I loved this professor, and he made it easy to get up at 8 in the morning. NO DULL LECTURES!! Easy!!

Mr. Schultz's class is really easy. He did not lecture from the book which I liked, however the tests are merely on vocabulary words from the book. We talked, mainly, about the major topics of government, i.e. what is justice, liberty vs. security. If you're wanting an easy A from a professor that is quite entertaining Mr. Schultz is your man!

Don't be afraid to write what you believe, b/c he will not judge you or mark your grade down. What a waste of money. He didn't teach even a lecture over government. He made us buy a $100 book and then expected us to teach ourselves about the chapters. Final is 10% and it was the important essay questions he GAVE us. no homework. fun classes. easy to listen to. showing up is not required but you need to get the essay questions. find a group to get it from if necessary.

Seriously one of the very funniest people I've ever met. I have never enjoyed a class so much. He also teaches interesting life lessons about money and finance. All of the tests except for the final are over the textbook instead of the lectures, so read the outline and know the vocab and you'll do great.

The first couple of classes I thought that I might not make it through his class. He reminded me of willy wonka. However, by the end of the semester I realize that Mr. Schultz is trying to make you think outside the box, and he is a great teacher. Attendance is a must. But if you show up to class and read over the vocabulary words you will do fine.

The topics of conversation were very interesting but not related to the text very much. But he tied it all together at the end. Knowing vocabulary and understanding it is critical for passing tests. He likes to make jokes and is very helpful and understanding.

His tests were all based off the book, and you have to attend class in order to do well. His personality keeps you enthralled the entire time; he's a very interesting person. This was my 2nd time taking government, and I couldn't of taken a better professor. We need more professors like him in academia!

Took his 8am class this semester & loved it so much I never wanted to miss class. I'm not interested in Government in the least, but his lectures are interesting (and not from the boring book. Hooray! Although the tests ARE) and relevant especially if you like to challenge the way you think. Hope I can find another class of his to take.

Professor Schultz is a very memorable man that promoted the understanding of Government from multiple angles that most would likely avoid. Instead of drawing from only the book, he dove into the deepest concepts of the subject; thus, my understanding of Government is complete. If you simply studied, you could expect to do very well in his class.

This friggin guy is so great he knows everything, then he'll back up everything he knows with some Plato and Socrates. That's right. He's going ancient Greece on your uneducated face. Really good teacher. If you want to read the textbook and memorize facts, then his class is not for you. He is more of a lecture teacher. Reading does help you some on tests though. They are half essay and half vocabulary. Very good teacher though

Enthralling lectures. I actually listened to the recorded lectures which I have, admitedly, never done before. I feel like I learned a lot from this class and it has shown me that there is a good reason (very very good reason) to pay attention to what is going on because it has everything to do with me and my life.

I liked him, but wouldn't say he's my favorite. He made the lectures interesting and funny, but the tests were from the book, and I felt like I was teaching myself most of the time. If you don't understand the fundamentals of govt, don't take him. But if the subject interests you greatly, then go for it! He is very helpful if you approach him, too!

Keeps the class entertaining and his lectures are very insightful BUT his test mostly cover topics from the book and his lectures do not. All reading and vocab is on your own time, never mentioned in class.

I took Mr. Schultz for Summer Session 2 of 2013. He's very entertaining and has a way of presenting the material that makes it relevant and relate to modern day news and occurances. I GOT AN A in class. If you take the time to listen and anaylze what hes saying(however kooky he may come off) you can actually learn alot.

this is one of a kind professor. he teaches well and will give you what to read when it is time for exams. 4 exam and the lowest is dropped. i took his class with 3 other classes but i never feel the tension of taking 4 classes. it was just like taking just 3 classes. good good good professor. i definitely recommend him..

This class was so much fun and Schultz really gets into his lectures!! He is very helpful and teaches you life lessons throughout his lectures. I absolutely loved Texas Government with Mr. Schultz! His lectures are great, he doesn't lecture from the book and he makes class time very interesting and worth going to. Even if you can't make it to every lecture, he is very adamant that he never drops students from his course for missing class. Tests are straight forward, TF and essay.

Took him during the summer, SUPER easy. He's great, his lectures are funny and off topic sometimes but still great. Tests and super easy, T or F and about 4 short answer questions. If you pay attention to his lectures you WILL make an A.

Mr. Schultz is a fantastic teacher. He is really hilarious and teaches things that can be applied to really life scenarios. He makes it very clear about what is going to be on the tests. He does pick on his students, but it's all good humor. Very glad I took his class. Be prepared to read the book on your own, though. It's critical.

Great professor! Throughout the semester you have four tests and the lowest grade gets dropped. Tests are true and false about the vocabulary and essay questions. There are three essay questions and you choose one. He gives one essay question the day before the test so you can know how to answer.

Also gives many good life-hacks and prepares you for what is expected in life all while giving important lectures that are never boring.

What can you say about Mr. Schultz. He is my hero in The Allegory of the Cave by the Greek philosopher Plato in his work The Republic. I will tell you that he was very intimidating at first. This course is the most bang for your book given at TCC. The tests consists of 50 book50 lecture. The lectures are highly entertaining and enlightening. You should be paying extra for these lectures. Davis Schultz was the best government teacher I've ever had and he gave me a reason why taking government wasn't as bad as I thought. the tests were easier than I thought and he makes stories like "the allegory of the cave" relevant for class. Taking him was no mistake and I strongly suggest you take him too. you will NOT regret it.

He at first always knows who you are, what you did, with who, etc..., and then asks a question that leads to a great lecture about how to answer the question and how he believes is correct and can help you out later in the future. I took him in Mountain View Collage and he is a really good professor. This class should be an easy A for you. His lessons don't relate to the test but he gives you great life advice but do not panic the Test are super easy, only if you slack you will fail. The test are just remembering vocabulary. Super easy class and i would take him again.

Schultz is a great professor. He gives four tests but drops the lowest grade, so technically you can take three and get a zero on one. Then their is the final, but it is not bad. His exams are easy if you actually study. They are mainly vocab based and also over his lectures. This class is great because you actually learn about life. Take him!!!

Fun and interesting professor to take if youre not in it for pure Texas politics. Youll need to memorize key terms, but his class is more of a philosophical lecture on why society is what it is. If you have strong political inclination towards either side of the fence, I would recommend a different professor. Amazing class otherwise.
