Schwinger is one of the best professors i think i'll ever have. Do your work, pay attention, and you'll be fine. Even his jokes are pretty funny. Take his class if you can, you're gonna love it. And schwinger you dont have body odor, dont worry, but i must say get new pants your 20 lbs lighter.

he is a very easy professor. he gives a review before each exam which is very similar to the problems done in class. but you have to get used to him becaus the first classes you will be thinking why he keeps saying joking when nobody laughs. in the end you will get them. easy and concise

I comprehend that he is the easiest professor in the Math department, but he does not teach well! Most of his students neglect work problems on the 202 final, moreover, he does not teach integration techniques properly either. The goal is not only to secure an A but also polish integration techniques before taking multi dimensional calculus.

Great Teacher!!! Great teaching style, makes jokes and tells stories that keep you guessing and laughing. You have to be sharp and do the homework (doesn't collect but solves.) A little fast but always asks if all is understood, will explain again and again if need be. Tests are great. TAKE SCHWINGER. NOW!

The summer precalc class is fast paced and difficult, but Schwinger is the type of teacher who makes even the most boring subjects bearable. From time to time he'll tell zany stories or jokes, pose riddles, do funny accents and kick broken Bulgarian chalk around the room. Sometimes he might seem like a nutcase, but I think he's actually a genius!

This by far the best Math Proffesor i've taken in CCNY...Hes very clear and would explain each probelm step by step....but most important he would keep ur attention by makin funny jokes and that actually makes you have more interested in the class....Test are fair and if you study all your notes you'll be jus fine....TAKE SCWINGER...HES THE BEST!!!

Very nice guy, often silly. His references to history can be slightly distracting, but he knows his stuff backwards and forwards. I'm glad I took him when I had the chance.

THIS GUY IS THE BEST COMEDIAN AND THE BEST MATH PROFESSOR ALL AT ONCE !! He has the best stories to tell, best joke about his mother-in-law... & more to make the class entertaining and educational. He does also teach math very good. Some topics I find he does not teach the best, But his exams are reasonable.

This is the best math professor period. I took this calc2 class over the summer and he warned us about not having a job or another class but i had a job and i ended up doing pretty well in his class. The majority of the class was taking this class over so you should realize how hard this course is . This guy is the best math teacher at CCNY.

He is the best math professor in City College! Exams are easy & he explains everything very clearly. Attendance is mandatory cause he takes off points from your final grade according to how many times your absent along with other things. He never checks your homework but still do it. He's also a very funny guy. Take his class if you get the chance!

Great professor, his exams are straight forward but not all that easy, then again CAL2 is a hard class overall. I recommend him b/c he is clear in all his work and is funny also (his mother-in-law). He finishes the syllabus well b4 the final. He prepares you for the final as best that any teacher can. You study for the exams and it should be an A.

This guy is awesome. He always come to class with high energy, believe me, this is important when you're taking a class bright and early. Somehow amidst joking about his mother-in-law and making fun of politicians, he still teach us math. His lessons are full of information and he lets you know what will be on the test. Okay,so whenever i will be going to math class, expect to hear his incredibly funny jokes about himself, mother-in-law, dukakis, his beautiful wife and jewelry, comparing mother-in-law with a dog,ugly U,pretending to know every language but he is actually speaking english! Happens everyday, no surprise! But excellent teacher and highly recommended!

He is the best Math Prof in CCNY. Do all the HW and attend the class. His exams are straight forward. He even called himself a Wimp for giving easy exams. Try to do good in the class exams.Yes I agree that he doesn't spend all the time proving theorems but students learn more by doing problems. He goes over hws.

Really cool professor. Had him for math 201 and 202. Straight forward exams, do homework. Clear explanations together with some fresh jokes, and historical events (he love to talk about history) makes math much more interesting to study. The only negative I think, is that his exams are nothing like departmental final. Thank You reverend ;)

I took Professor Schwinger for Math 195; he was one of the best math professors I had. His test are fair, he gives reviews, he uses humor, riddles and ridiculous antics to keeps the class interesting. He drops the lowest test grade so if you dont do well on the first test study hard for the rest and you will be fine...

My wife and I were students of Professor Schwinger over 30 years ago. He taught calculus 1, 2, and 3 effortlessly; Wished we had him for advanced calculus with the Steinhardt Notes. I met my wife at the threshold to his office. He encourage us both to become actuaries. Today, we have our own business. Thanks Prof. Schwinger!

He is a strange professor that tells jokes I don't find funny most of the time. His exams are more lenient than the final, so try to do really well. He doesn't assign a lot of homework which makes it easy to slack off; and he is very disorganized in teaching the material. Focus on studying integration techniques--most emphasized on the final.

Very easy tests, which doesnt prepare you for final, which is much tougher. Still, if you get 95s on all his tests and over a 70 on final you get A, like me

He is a real professor. He does not give so many homework but the important chapters. He teaches everything clearly and makes jokes to refresh the classroom. Just listen carefully, don't be absent minded and be with him. I wish that's enough to learn from his class. I recommend about him.

He explain clearly, review the homework before every class, point out common mistakes that students make/tips that to solve different types of questions...he is fun, give "smart questions" for students to earn extra credits. I missed this professor. I took cal-2 with him one year ago and i enjoyed his class. Unfortunately he is retired now.
