Quizzes are VERY easy if you skim text, attend class, listen, and review lecture material for about an hour weekly. Quizzes will prepare you way in advance for midterm and final. I took psych 1 on fall 07; it was my first psych class. Prof.Sedghi it is a well-respected-awesome teacher. His way of teaching is very helpful, gives you a quiz of ten multiple question every week, (don't stress) it is easy quiz if you read the book and follow the lectures.

I didn't think he was that great. I had a class with him in which he lectured for three hours; he still couldn't cover everything. Also, his quizzes/tests consist of too many chapters compared to other psych classes here.

A great educator/instructor.Humble, devoted. However, don't take anything for granted. He comes to class PREPARED!!! on top of it. He knows his stuff and expects from his students to be responsible and also committed. His tests are pretty consistent and to the point. two things: READ the chapters and never miss class!!!

BEST PROFESSOR AT LACC!! I spent 5 semesters at LACC and Prof. Sedghi is by far the best. He creates an interactive learning experience which not only shows his vast knowledge of the material, but makes it interesting for the student. Professor Sedghi is a really great man. He is clear about what is expected from the student as soon as the first day. As long as the students show that they are putting in effort or what he would say "out working" him and being in class everyday (although he mentions on the first day of class it is not mandatory) he will show you great respect.

This teacher is extremely likable. He makes the material "come alive" by encouraging class interaction. Psych 41 grade is based on 5 quizzes, a midterm, a paper, and final. It's quite easy to get an A if you keep up with your reading and participate in class. Sedghi has modern teaching skills and provides an excellent learning environment.

He scared us at first time saying that it's not gonna be an easy A,but seriously,it was!I just listened to the lectures,read the book and there were 6 quizes of which the lowest score could be dropped.There were 2 multiple choice exams and I got almost one hundred percent in both.It was that easy,trust me,you'll learn a lot through this course.

1 Exam, 1 final, 6 quizzes, 1 paper, 1 group project. That's it. Due to how few graded items there are in the class, it is IMPERATIVE that you attend class. Even if you get A's on everything, if you miss 2 quizzes, you will not get an A. Besides that, he scares you in the beginning with his albeit inspirational story, but the class is super easy.

The group project is a bit terrifying, thats not his fault tho, its hard getting a group of 67 strangers to work together! Planning to take all the classes he teaches!

Can I say best teacher ever? He truly is. He won't go over every detail in the chapters but he gives great examples and pretty much covers the whole chapter. It is your job to do the reading at home so you can understand the subject more clearly and pass those tests. Love how he answers any question you have with clarity and he does test overviews!

Professor Sedgi is a brilliant instructor who engaged my mind and wants his students to do great. As an introduction back to college life he inspired me greatly.

Professor Sedghi is great! Attend his class, take notes, read the material, participate ( everything you are supposed to do when in college) and you will be fine. Sedghi is what other teachers should strive to be like. He makes you use your brain and inspires you to think, without being unnecessarily hard. He is awesome. The way he teaches makes the course fun and easy to understand because he uses real scenarios and in-class demonstrations. He is always there in office ours and is tech-savvy. 1 essay, 1 group project, 6 quizzes (lowest dropped), and 2 exams (midterm and final). He gives exam reviews the week before the exam to help you prepare.

David Sedghi is an amazing professor. He's organized, clear, and straight forward. You won't be confused with what you need to do in the class. He makes it very simple, absorb the material and you will pass. The test is mostly from the textbook, and his lectures center around the text as well. You will learn a lot and you will have fun, too.

This class will require you to read! If you don't, chances are you are not going to pass. His mid-term and final come the lectures he does and also from the book. So be there or be square and READ!!! Unfortunately I took his summer course and I wish I'd taken his class semester length. He's a great teacher, very accessible outside of class, if you have any questions you can ask him after class and he will gladly help you. Tests are usually 50 questions each, midterm and final and 7 or 8 quizzes. Highly recommend his class.

Such a good professor. Lectures are great and interesting-you will not be bored. The workload is light, as long as you review each chapter before you take the quizzes you'll be fine. So reading helps. But he covers the most important things in class, and prepares you well for the midterm and final. It's a class you don't have to stress over.

I never missed a lecture! He's an excellent Professor! He's organized, extremely helpful and fun to be around. You will never get bored. On your own time, you have to work hard... quizzes are tough, however the quizzes help strengthen your study skills. The lowest quiz score is dropped. Good psychology professor but he wants you to read 5 chapters and memorize it so you can do well on the midterm and final. Of course the midterm and final are both different chapters, but if you do not read you will differently not pass the class. Professor Sedghi is definitely one of my favorite professors and I knew that from the first day of lecture. He helps students understand psychology terms by creating analogies or using real life examples, which really helped me. His office hours are held frequently which is very useful. 10/5!!!!

Professor Sedghi is one of most popular psychology professors I ever met. I got C on psych 1. One paper, midterm, final exam and group video project would've been harder than I expected but at least I did all of them okay. Even though his quizzes were tough because i realized taking notes would help me but using textbook is the only solution.

Professor Sedghi wants you to do well! He gives very specific feedback on your writing assignments that is meant to be integrated immediately. He is a tough grader, but if you learn from his feedback, apply yourself to the writing assignments, and complete all of the reading, you will do very well. Dont expect to be able to phone it in.

AMAZING teacher! Lectures are always interesting. Sometimes he gives hour-long videos to watch on your own time in the end. READING THE TEXTBOOK & TAKING NOTES ARE IMPORTANT FOR THE QUIZZES! Do not get behind your reading! For quizzes, he drops the lowest score. He loves his job and teaches with all his heart. I always look forward to this class.

I took Psychology 1 in summer 2021 with Professor Sedghi and he created a great learning environment. Professor David Seghi is a great teacher. His class is interesting, and his videos are educational. The quizzes are from PowerPoint, the book, and videos. The discussions are fun, he wants us to work together. He will be there to help if you need it. His syllabus is clearly written to where you should be each week. Do the work and you will pass.

The class was very well organized and interesting. There was a LOT of reading involved but overall it was a relatively easy class. Professor Sedghi is cool, but can also be curt and a little condescending. If you do the work you should pass his class with no issue.

Took abnormal psych over the winter, loved it! He is very knowledgeable about the subject, very candid & open during class lectures/discussions. Utilizes a program that is well organized & offers inexpensive access to course material ($25). Given it was an online short term course, the class was primarily composed of discussions & quizzes.

An incredible experience with Prof. Sedghi D. His meaningful of topic makes me feel in loved more and locked my major with PSYCHO. I learned social behaviors and caused by the value of discussion. I looked forward to attending Sedghi's lectures first thing in the morning. He's engaging, funny, and passionate about psychology! Probably the easiest psychology class you'll ever take. You have to purchase Lumen One in order to complete assignments. Class lectures are entertaining and easy to understand. Weekly assignments consist of a Study Plan and Quiz, both being easy to complete. A few discussion posts with hour long lecture video you need to watch but easy to complete.
