His lectures are very hard to follow and take notes from. He assigns a very expensive CD rom in which you have to listen to the lectures on it and do to quizes. You have to do at least 6 to 7 of these a night for the next class. I found these unhelpful

Quizzes are confusing. He does not do much teaching. You basically teach yourself. All he does is read off the powerpoint and give you quiz questions during class that are really confusing and are sometime wrong. Don't really like his teaching method, or lack of teaching method.

Although he was nice, he did not teach, answer questions, explain things, answer questions, or do what a professor is supposed to do. I am used to hard courses but he was very rude most of the time. Would not recommend taking.

Does not teach. You read powerpoint slides and take 5-20 question quizzes for each chapter (never uploads them on time). The exams are basically all trick questions (most the time he makes a mistake in the answers). Since this was a fully online course, the R coding assignments were extra credit. I didn't bother trying to teach myself coding.

Listen to these reviews and do not take them with a grain of salt. Professor does not teach, and if questioned, he gives very vague explanations. This course is a "teach-yourself-class." Read. Read. Read. Attendance matters because iclicker is used every lecture for reading questions. Reviews for exams are somewhat reliable.

Professor Senseman only uses the book and requires you to read the chapter ahead of time and know the materials to take iclicker test during lecture. He never answered questions instead just asked that you read the book, which was not helpful for me as I needed more clarification. His test were all on paper in class, and multiple choice.

In comparison to other bio 1 professors at UTSA, Sensemen ranks amongst the top. Our tests are cumulative, but we get to have two massive note cards and keep our old tests and know the key aswell as be graded on an easier scale. The iclicker questions are not that bad aslong as you have the lecture slides pulled up and work with friends.

It is very easy to do good in this course if you just do the work assigned (not much), read the chapters, come to class, and do iclicker, and understand the concepts. Dr Senseman does questions in class that can help for the tests.

This class is very easy! All you really need to do is show up to class, use iclicker, do his study guides they ARE SO HELPFUL, and PAY ATTENTION to the EXAMS. I have passed all of the exams and he is very kind. Everyone on here who didn't pass his class probs did not go to class. The class itself is NOT hard at all its just a hard subject.

He is a nice guy, but his class was very challenging. I didn't feel that he explained the concepts well, if at all. Because of this, his tests were very challenging. The study guide was VERY vague and did not help me. What did help me was studying the i-clicker reviews and previous tests (for my course we could take the test booklet home).

Prob & Stats for Biosci: The structure was odd, and many times quizzes did not get uploaded on time. This class was hard for people who requested work days off to take exams that got rescheduled. But if you can work the exams into your schedule (7a-7p window), it's really just using the Powerpoints to answer short quizzes plus 3 exams - easy grade.

Lecture time was used for iclicker quizzes with little explanation. To do well, you MUST read beforehand.

I have no idea how this was approved, but every single video that teaches this class is a robot reading slides. The professor did not record himself lecturing in anyway. It is just a robot reading over slides, do not take if you do not like learning through reading.

He only uses videos as his lectures didn't mind his quizzes were easy to pass. Assigned online assignments they're kind of hard if you are a beginner coder. This was great to just get this class out of the way.

SUCKS this course is hard but this professor briefly reads his info then expects you to know how to use basic Python. Assigned a project worth two exam grades and the files needed for it were too large to run and many people failed it. He doesn't answer or help if you have questions he just deletes the question or gives you a different file.

So i have mixed feelings as to what this professor gives us as students, He has his own way of doing things (reading off slides, Iclicker questions, Mumbles a lot) and if you can learn how to manage his way of doing things you'll do okay. However I dont think he puts in enough effort as an instructor, he just comes off as somewhat lazy to me.

He seems nice but you have to attend every class as he has quizzes throughout the entire class! He uses iclicker for attendance & quizzes. My phone lost reception during 1 class and I couldn't answer 3 questions. Explained it to him after class and he was like, sorry. smh. Also have to buy Pearson to do external assignments.

This class is an easy A as long as you do your work. He gets boring because he "reads" (more like mumbles) through the slideshows. I clicker "quizzes" through the entire class are a grade so even tho he does not count attendance, if you miss class you miss the quiz. Exams are online, not honor locked. Homework is somewhat easy. Not that bad.

Senseman is genuinely a sweet man. HOWEVER, he just reads slides every lecture and can be hard to understand. All exams are online, at home, and not proctored. The reason i rate it low, is because this class is an important class, for those perusing a medical degree. I feel like i didn't learn anything because this class was painfully boring
