Great teacher, learned a lot about how to think.
Decent class. He is pretty funny which makes it interesting. Had it 1 night a week.
My first BCC teacher ever. At first I thought he was a very hard teacher... But honestly, I didn't study enough, or at all. This is definately a class to study for. He does give extra credit chances though, and makes class fun with group activities.
This professor is SHARP! His vast amount of knowledge in the humanities is amazing. If you can't get an A in his class, you don't want to get an A in his class.
you know you should study more, and if you don't, this one class you'll get called on it. knows his stuff, explains it well, but if the class doesn't make an effort he'll give up and just read the book. but if you go up to him after class, he'll talk.
Wow, brains and beauty. This professor is brilliant and knows exactly what he's talking about.
Awesome teacher. Explained things very well. Would and will take this professor again.
Scary at first, didn't seem interested in lecture, but after the first few classes, realized he only lectures to those who want to listen. Awesome teacher, very intellectual. Highly recommend if taking any humanities course.
Very intelligent. Has an odd teaching still, but it makes you think and go after what you want. If you don't get a good grade, its because u didn't make the slightest effort. Would take him again.
OVER EDUCATED & TOO INTELLIGENT but cool! You need the book & MUST go to class. Grades are fair. Don't expect an A. Note taking is easy cuz he's entertaining. If your hot you'll get an A, sit up front. Sum chic in my class is in love with him, watch out!
This was one of the easiest classes I've taken and I like his made up grading system better than the typical system. However, I don't know of any professor who is more strict on plagerism than he is. He makes you turn in a copy of your sources to check.
Took the humanities class and now I'm going to take the WR class. Not completely simple and you do need to study but still a good teacher.
Good teacher, he made the past come alive for me. He is a really good teacher. His tests are challenging but not impossible.
He has short man syndrome. Irritating. PASS.
very cool and fun class w/ him as a teacher.made me love the history of the past. hes a funny and different, but can make it interesting, oh, and girls careful if you sit in the front.
Groovy guy, when i was there he started a new grading system tha failed horribly for him, but he helped us all out. He loves what he does and he reflects that in his teaching.
Very unstructured class. He's hot in to lecturing. You have to ask question to get a discussion going. Goes off on tangents easily.
Not a very well taught man. I took his class and just failed it just because I had opinions that he didn't like. His teaching sucked. Wouldn't recommend him...
Not a well taught class. Could not keep on subject and would go off onto another that had to purpose in the class. Would not recommend to anyone!
Dr. Simmons is a good teacher. He knows his stuff, which always helps. He can be frustrating if your opinion differs from his, but as long as you know the matierial, you will pass the class no problem.

The first class is pretty tense because he calls people out on their background. He tries to break the ice by determining where people's families came from. After that, there's not a whole lot of reading, but plenty of essays to make up for it. He's an entertaining professor. I'd take another one of his classes.
He's a good teacher, but if you want something explained thoroughly, ASK QUESTIONS. He'll be willing to give you a detailed answer, but if you don't ask you'll get lost. I'd take another one of his classes.
If you're looking to take another humanities credit then this is the class to take. Dr. Simmons is a very intresting teacher. He might come off as having ADD because he is very random. The negative is all the essays and they can be quite difficult but I highly reccommend him.
I DID NOT like this class! I do not feel Dr. Simmons "taught". He likes to go off onto irrelavent subjects so if you take his class you may have to keep him on track.
Here is the deal with Simmons: YOU HAVE TO ASK QUESTIONS IF YOU WANT TO LEARN ANYTHING. If you can handle acting like an adult and studying on your own and then asking him questions LIKE YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO DO IN COLLEGE, then his class will be easy. Here's a tip for his class: Put A LOT of details and terminology from the book in your papers.
Nice teacher and willing to help but if you ever ask him a simple question he will give you a 10 minute response that has no answer in it.
He doesn't cleary answer questions. He really likes to go off on wild dicussions. Just make sure you don't miss a quiz cause you can't make it up. His test are tricky and he doesn't give much extra credit. But he is fun and entertaining. He is a good teacher.
Bombards you with a stack of a semester's worth of work the first day of class. Some HW requires you to visit places in order to complete it. Required to read certain novels for essays. Not your typical "5 chapter exams" class. Goes off topic a lot. If you plan to take this class, make sure you have a lot of extra time to put aside for this class
I disagree with some of the comments on this page. This is a college level class folks, it requres work and thinking and may include discussions of topics "not on the test"....but relevent to learning.
when i first started his class i thought he was had ADD but he just like to mix things up and have a little fun. you have to do work and study a bit. Very helpful if you go up to him after class , in class he doesnt fully anwer your questions and leaves you more confused. lets you leave early almost everyday. Great teacher would take him again.
I really liked this professor and would definetly take a class with him. I liked the freedom in his class structure. He loves to discuss all kinds of things in class that aren't related to the topics being tested, but come on people he gives a study guide with everything you need to know on it. Easy to Pass. Fun class and interesting man.
Be prepared to teach yourself and the textbook is very hard to understand.
Really out there, when asked a question, he will ramble on for 10+ minutes while indirectly NOT answering the question, then reflects on this by laughing at how he didn't answer it. He's really random, but its a relatively "easy B"
He was very hard to understand. Everything was like a guessing game in his class. I would not recommend him.
He doesnt explain much, you have very few assignments and he does not specify details on them. Be prepared to add/drop or withdraw before failing his class. Not recommended at all.
terrible teacher do not take is the hardest teacher i have ever had he goes on 20 min rambles about nothing at all do not take be prepared to figure everything out on your own
He is kind of crazy. He is a agnostic secular humanist scientist that went to seminary school and somehow is protestant?
He does not hand out the course on a platter like most Instructors. If you are a responsible individual you will do well in his class. In my opinion he wants you to take the initiative to learn by forming your own ideas and giving feedback to the class. If you are not clear on something he makes every attempt to be clear after class.
Do not take this class if you're an idiot. Dr. Simmons is a great teacher, and with just a little effort it's fairly easy to pass and learn. However, Dr. Simmons will never directly answer a question. He's actually never clear on anything at all. He's trying to get you to think, but for some people it doesn't work out too well.
this guy is a super cool teacher, i don't really have to try much and i know i'll get a decent grade. although you do have to think, which makes going to class worthwhile. he's really cool if you can't be in class, just email before, and you will be able to make things up.
I strongly advise against taking this teacher. Upon leaving his class, I did not know anything more than what I knew entering it. He uses an infantile grading system, and spends the majority of class time on what he calls "tangents" with no relevance to the subject matter at hand.
Very crazy teacher! Never clearly answers your question.. usually just ignores it and starts talking about something else. Took 2 quizzes and 1 paper. His grading system made no sense! Wouldn't recommend this professor to anyone.
A fun class, even if the he goes on tangents.
Awesome teacher. With style and entertaining... sometimes, SHAITAN! :) I always enjoyed his tangents - makes you think and keeps curious. Before asking questions, make sure you read the book. Get the terms list done before you come for review so that you can ask answers for unknown terms and ace quizes.
What is interesting is he is unlike any teacher I have had before, and I have completed 120 credit hours. To say the least, he is a fair guy who keeps an open mind to teaching methods. He grades papers thoroughly, but quite fairly. The class was definitely not a breeze, but work HARD and you will get what you deserve.
Dr. Simmons is an awesome teacher. I had him for two semesters, and I'm not saying it was a breeze, but the class is worth it, and the man knows what he is talking about. Yeah, what they say about the tangents are true, but would you rather listen to him talk about humanities the ENTIRE time? (P.S. he does read these comments, just so you know.)
Simmons is a great teacher. The papers you write are not that bad. As for the terms list study them right away don't wait till the last minute and if you study for all of them the final exam will be a breeze for you.
Dr. Simmons tells you up front that he is "not going to teach you" he wants you to take the initiative and to think things through! I read the book on my own, thank goodness because most of the test material was from the book, even though we never used it. He was fun and enjoyable, and I learned tons. You have to work, but the class is worth it!
Dr. Simmons is a really amusing guy. He gives students alot of freedom and lets them guide themselves. This can be extremley helpful or harmful depending on the type of learner you are. However, if you read the book as he outlines it you'll definitley get an A.
i dont know what class the other students took that are leaving these ratings- but i know the class i took was a mess.He doesnt teach his students and doesnt tell them exactly what to expect on the tests. He will give a vocab list but wont tell you what about it you need to know- i am a straight A student and i got a c. Dont take his class- dont ge
Dr. Simmons really knows his material. Be on time for class- he lets people leave early. Yes, he goes on tangents, but they're funny!
He is the worst teacher at BCC you will drop or fail. He teaches nothing on topic abd goes on tagents about stupid things. RUN
Horrible teacher!!!!!!!! He goes on tangents and you never understand anything he says or teaches! I had to drop the class. He only teaches english subjects that have nothing to do with humanities!
I thought Dr. Simmons was an awesome teacher when I took him for Religion and plan on taking his Humanities class. His class isn't the ordinary lame crap like most others, he keeps it interesting. You do have to work for your grade, but it's not hard at all. He keeps it relaxed and his tangents are funny! I definitely recommend him!
Terrible. It's more of a grammar class than anything else. I was very interested in Humanities before I took the class. I was expecting to learn a lot about it. He would avoid the question or not even bother to acknowledge that you needed help! I don't recommend taking any of his classes EVER! Especially if you don't learn well from reading books.
Expect the unexpected! He is a brilliant man! Would love to hang out and drink a few with him. But his class is was it is. Don't expect to be taught anything. It is a self taught class. Just make sure you know your MLA format. Also he has a new way of giving test, be prepared! yes he rambles, but listen what he has to say, its brilliant.
Dr.Simmions is extremly smart but does not spend a lot of time teaching you have to spend time studying. Simmions is funny and challenging not impossible to pass but can leave a lot to be desired to his teaching style. Come prepared to teach yourself.
Great & funny person but his class is what it is. Unless you have an interest in Humanities I would not recommend it. His papers & tests are super hard.
If you don't like Dr. Simmons it's because you don't possess the aptitude required to see the big picture. He makes it very clear from the beginning that his goal is for us to think. All you really have to do is think and follow directions and you will get an A in this class!
He does not teach anything. If you are interested in Humanities, take another class. If you want to learn random life information take his class. I found his class useless and a waste of my time. He seemed to talk a lot about the Bible. Cannot stay focused and goes off on random tangents. Not an easy A by any means
He is not an easy A by any means. Although an A can be reached. You must put the effort into it though. They are not given. He does have tangents, but they are interesting. He makes extra credit available all semester long. His new way of doing his Mid-term and Final is pretty sweet.
Wow, what an interesting class! The schedule was a little difficult to follow at first but he is very helpful and knowledgable. He gives extra credit and grades fairly. I highly recommend this professor!
It's true - he goes on rants, can be intimidating, and is initially confusing but... He knows his stuff and is interesting. Dr. Simmons is a true professor, not a high school like teacher. He won't hold your hand but is very fair and makes it possible to get an A. Stick with him and you'll be rewarded. Books are NOT required if you can research!
It is not an easy nor a difficult class. I passed with an A. You just simply have to study and focus on the terms that he gives you. He does give plenty of opportunities for extra credit. Read the paragraph related to the term given and answer the who, what, when, where. If you do so you will pass this class and get an A.
I got an A in his class. Study the terms that he gives you. Read the paragraph in the book related to the term and answer the who, what, when and where.Go to his office if you have questions he is helpful. He curves and gives plenty of opportunities for extra credit. He can tell who puts effort and who doesn't , so STUDY!
he assigned us work that is bullshiznit and it makes no sense whatsoever. Its called the last magic. read it and you will undersrtand
Bashes the bible like there is no tomorrow!!!
good luck with this class! This is a self-study class. The final overshadows the papers you write. He gives you a thirty page chart to study over and fill out on your own at the beginning. One of the most difficult classes I've taken.
Horrible professor if you're looking for a good teacher it's not him!!!
HES REALLY HARD!!!
When I signed up for this class, I thought I was going to learn something about humanities, but I didn't. This is a teach yourself class and he doesn't care about your success. I DONT recommend him. I withdrew his class and Im ANGRY that I wasted my time, energy, and money on a useless class with a useless professor.
he sucks
Don't take this class. He's terrible, pompous and kind of creepy. Taking this class is one of my biggest regrets. The online professors for this subject have much better ratings, and everyone says you can actually pass. So, I think that's the way to go.
Total a**. Do not take! Worst teacher ever!
Great teacher! A bit hard, but it is collage, and he gives you everything you need to get an A you just have to do the work... He likes to go off on tangents in class but... if you pay attention to it you might get extra credit.... If you take him make sure you fill out the topic list in the very beginning, and flash cards help.
His class is set up so that you do alot of the work yourself you don't get alot of in class notes he gives you a topic list and all the answers to everything you will need is right there all you have to do is fill it out and read over it once or twice and you will defiantly get an A I did.
A somewhat incomprehensible person at the start of the class, eventually his ramblings will reach a valid point. He's a good sport about being challenged with ideas that conflict with his views. Assignments are easy, but the class focus is almost never on the specifics of the subject. He is very non-PC at times and takes grammar very seriously.
Dr. Simmons is a great teacher.I got a B in the class, but he still was interesting and he helps you a lot if you need it.Humanities isn't the most entertaining subject in the world and he makes it more interesting than it really is.He goes off on tangents sometimes, but they're funny. It's not exactly easy and you have to study A LOT.I recommend him
Dr. Simmons is a great teacher. I was intimadated by reading a lot of the negative things that where said but, I hung in there. He gets better after the withdrawal date. Once he knows who really is interested he really starts to teach. Just do the topics list and cooperate and lie.
RUN AWAY for the sake of your grade! He will say that 3 words ("is, but, when" type words)in same order from original article being used in your paper is plagarism HUH? He doesn't even teach humanities he goes on tangents, i didn't learn anything! And i wanted to major in humanities before his class! UGH He is incredibly arrogant and belittling
1) It is what it is. 2)Ask questions, if you dont you will get no intellegent answers, and you will cry yourself to sleep. 3)Be prepared to get inside the head of two persons from your reading and hypothesis an answer, be creative its only a opinion. 4)Do not use the words I or You. 5)Write all 3 essays out of class, and turn in your best. G.L.
Great Teacher! I thought this was going to be my least favorite class before the semester and afterwards out of 5 it was the opposite. He teaches you to question yourself and his "tangents" do help answer questions in the end. Great class and a really nice teacher he will help you if you have any questions!
You should ask a lot of questions because he is NEVER clear about what exactly he wants. His lectures are very interesting but have nothing to do with anything we are tested on. I just studied a lot when he came to taking tests. I went to his office numerous times and he helped me a lot, you just have to work for your grade.
I really like this guy. Note he is a real stickler for perfect grammar (which seems unfair, since some havn't had College Writing or English yet). He's VERY entertaining. Actually looked forward to going to class! AND DON'T MISS ONE, you'll be lost! You MUST read your book! He's really into teaching & has charisma. I like that.
Worst teacher ever, impossible to get an A unless you are a true perfectionist I hope I will never see this man again.
Let me start by saying that Dr Simmons is a great teacher. "Cooperate and lie" and everything will be fine. I took 2 classes with him and got an A in both. Follow the instructions he gives, fill out the study guide and study by it. About the essays: study the subjects you want to write about and do a comparison chart before the test. Easy A+++++.
Dr. Simmons is a cool guy but a terrible teacher. His class discussions are extremely disorganized and off topic. Taken his class twice and he expects you to know a ton of material, yet his quizzes are 5 questions? Smart guy but should take more pride in teaching than being a stickler for petty things. Trust me take a different teacher or online!
Exciting class! I tried to not to miss,no you dont discuss everything on tests in class, but its not hard-if you can memorize well.&you dont need the book. &He will help you, visit his office hrs, hes down to earth, funny, and at least entertaining! He made the class attractive, for me, I may have had a bizarro crush on this one.
Professor Simmons is a really great person, but he isn't a good teacher. He doesn't teach AT ALL in class. He rants for most every class about stuff that doesn't have to do with the class. He shows you what grades you need to make, if you go to his office, but that doesn't really help. He gives these guides to study, but we NEVER talked about them
If you want to learn stuff take someone else !!! He goes on random tangents. Wish he gave more assignments that were worth more than a point of two so that when and if you do bomb something it doesnt kill your grade ! I recommend taking someone else !! Horrible professor !
I believe that Dr. Simmons is a very intelligent man who gets no credit for actually teaching. He requires students to actually work hard and think. He is a great teacher if you're not lazy and want to learn something!
great class i loved it! he is an excellent pro he presents you with knowledge in a way that is interesting while it is up to you to absorb it i would suggest this class to anyone who needs to take a humanities class, he is always willing to work with you if you go to him! if i had to take this humanities again i would take it with him
Great prof. Will work with you as long as you take the time to stop and see him. If you do not understand what he is talking about stop by and talk to him he will help you understand. Had I not done this I would have not passed the papers I turned in. Also has a grading scale that makes it way to easy if you do the work and do it right.
One of my favorite professors at BCC. His class was actually very easy IF YOU DID YOUR WORK. Simmons laid out all that needed to be known from Day 1. Asked every day if people had questions about the material we were responsible for. His lectures were great. If you want a teacher to hold your hand and spoon feed you the info, don't take his class.
He was always there to help those who asked for it. I know he would do his rants that would go off topic and take up the whole class time if you did the work you pass with a good grade. This was an easy humainties class!!
Awesome professor. I have taken his class twice now over my college career, once a few years ago when he had a different system, and this last semester which was much easier. He wont hold your hand, it is up to you to do the work, but the class time is always spent making your mind actually think. Again, great professor.
Awesome teacher!! Taking his class right now and he teaches some really good stuff through his tangents. He always asks when your confused and is willing to help. If your a little kid who needs their hand held through the class dont take his.
Amazing teacher! He is the most challenging teacher I've ever had. He is definitely not easy but once you adjust to his class it gets easier. Don't be discouraged if you have a low grade in his class at first!I took this class as a dual enrollment student. Only teacher in my life that could hold my attention. Very funny! I'll miss his class.
no. quizzes everyday
Best Professor ever! He teaches excellent and very clear. The tangents are the best part of the class. I would take this class OVER AND OVER AGAIN if I could. If there's one class you take, it had better be this one.
Dr. Simmons is a great teacher, his system is just different. He does do quizzes every day but because of that it is easy to pull your grade up if you do bad on one. Simmons really wants to help you and will work with you if an emergency arises. Dr. Simmons really challenges you to think and is ALWAYS teaching whether you realize it or not.
Great 8AM class, Simmons will wake you up. Gordon rule class, papers are hard. But he gives you 1 chance to make it up if you fail. Definitely not an easy class, and you will do a lot of studying and memorizing dates, paintings and names. But lectures are interesting, and he is very understanding and will work with you. I'd recommend him to anyone
Simmons is one of the most controversial teachers on campus. If you like quick wit, random tangents, and passive aggressive comments take the class. There are quizzes every day, and the reading and video assignments are dreadful.
Dr. Simmons was an interesting person to say the least lol. I wasn't really interested in the class from the beginning. He confused me a lot. He did quizzes everyday (like 4 to 8-ish questions). He rambled a lot, but he got me thinking about things. Funny guy, but I didn't like his teaching style..
Dr. Simmons is a very smart man and really knows what he is talking about, but does not always communicate his point. This is my first class ever getting a C in so I was not happy with that but if i would have tried harder, I'm sure I could have done better!
He is a very difficult teacher. I would not recommend if you really don't want to work. His curve is really weird, but he has a method to all his madness. Majority of the class will get C's, but if you really want to learn/work he's the best.
I liked Dr. Simmons as a person, but his class was difficult. I learned a lot but he was a hard grader and we had a quiz almost every class, which KILLED my grade. He does a huge curve at the end, so I ended up getting a B, but I could have done better. He isn't the worst, but not the best either. I enjoyed his class, he is very understanding.
I liked him as a person, but his class was difficult. He is a tough grader and we had a quiz almost every class, which was hard on my grade! He is very understanding and is a very nice man. This wasn't the hardest class, I ended up getting a B because of the huge curve he does. I wouldn't take his class again, but he wasn't the worst teacher.
Simmons expects alot from his students and his tests and quizes are difficult, his curves generally offset the difficulty. He is a great teacher and is willing to help students to no end.
I really liked Dr. Simmons. This was my first time ever getting a C in a class and I was not happy about it one bit; however, I deserved it. Dr. Simmons really challenges you in this course. You need to review the coursework he tells you to and you will succeed! Glad he taught me this lesson before I moved on to the university level.
I loved this course. Dr Simmons is clear and fun in class and if you do the assignments you will pass. His enthusiasm for the material is contagious. I got the top score in class just by putting forth a little effort.
He can get off task when speaking but you can get him back on track easily
He is one of a kind for sure... Tangents are crazy, he hardly teaches, he mostly talks about other things. 110% of the work is done outside of class. 1010 would NOT take again.
Sort of tough grading on essays. Quizzes every class, so attendance is mandatory. Really sarcastic but hilarious.
I think Dr Simmons is one of the most polarizing professors at EFSC. I actually enjoyed him and his class I thought it was very entertaining but a lot of people strongly disliked him. He grades his essays very hard but there is a curve so that helps a lot. I got an A but I did have to work for it. If you do good on the quizzes you will do well.
There is a quiz every class. He is very opinionated. It started off being about humanities and literally turned into an art class. I would not take him again.
There is not a lot of work throughout the class. We basically have class discussions every day on a different topic in philosophy. If you have an open mind about other people's opinions and you like to see how other people view beliefs and faiths, this is your class. Personally, I love the teacher because he's funny and open minded and I love class
He has a very strange personality. He loves all his students and gives amazing life lessons throughout the class. He enjoys going off topic ad telling stories, but makes them relate to the topic somehow. He grades a little weird, so make sure you understand his grading system. Overall, if you're open minded then you'll love his class.
I'm taking philosophy with Dr. Simmons and he is very nice but he does go into tangents during his lectures. DONT miss class, attendance is mandatory. Grading is unique. Ask questions! DONT interrupt or disturb the class during lectures. He does not condone to class clowns at all. In all I loved the class and Dr. Simmons is a very good instructor!
Great professor! He may seem a bit scatterbrained at times, but he's amazing. If you actually try in this class and study for the tests even a little bit you'll do well. Even if you don't try, as long as you turn in all the assignments, you'll most likely pass.
The class was very confusing at times, but that goes with the material, really. Overall Dr. Simmons cares about his students and wants to be as fair as possible. The class will get you thinking extensively so if that's not your cup of tea then don't take it. Make sure to let him know if you're going to miss a day of class in advance. Curve is odd.
Doctor Simmons cares about what he teaches, and it really shows during his lectures. Whenever you'd ask a question, and you expect a direct, single word response, he'll respond with an entire lecture of information. It's a lot to handle in terms of lectures, and I found myself dozing off more than once, but overall, he demands a healthy work ethic.
I LOVE Dr. Simmons. Him and a few other gems at EFSC made my learning experience there so great. Hes hilarious, intellectual, and caring. He wants to help his students in any way and hes extremely supportive. I'm at a university now taking philosophy and miss the way he taught! If you have the chance to take a class with him dont pass it up!
Dr. Simmons is a great Professor if your goal is to learn. He can sometimes go off on what seems like tangents, but usually always brings it back to a point hes trying to make. Ive had several conversations with him, and the one word that pops into my mind is insightful. He also loves the opportunity to talk, and learn from his students.
Simmons is simply one of the best at EFSC. He won't just give the grade to you, though. He, unlike some professors you'll have, is more concerned that you learned something than seeing if you can regurgitate information. He is happy to talk about any misunderstandings, so long as you are respectful. A good discourse with him is critical. Take him!
I took Intro to Philosophy back when it was Dr. Simmons' first semester teaching it, and it was a blast! His lectures are a lot of fun, and he's very lax in the classroom. That being said, I wouldn't take this class if you want an easy A; he makes you work for it.
This class was very different. The lectures held more meaningful topics including politics, excellent real world analogies and you really get to know Dr. Simmons. This class does require a lot of studying to understand the harder topics. Dr. Simmons is quite a fun character and really cares so talking to him and asking questions is key. work hard!
I loved Dr. Simmons class. If you do the assignments in order to prepare for the test, you will be able to succeed in his class. Also, each class is based on the class' on questions about the assignments, so ask. However, fair warning, he does tend to go on tangents and sometimes his answers are not as straight forward.
likes to go on day-long tangents if you dont have any questions so participation is helpful, but generally if you do the reading/video watching and take notes every once in a while you will never have trouble getting a good grade. a little weird too but as marked above he doesn't really count attendance at all so you can avoid him until tests
If you're goal is to learn, Dr Simmons is who you want. Can go on tangents, but ties it to the subject matter & will answer questions. Write definition & concept questions to ask inclass. He's passionate & gererous with time and went above and beyond helping in/outside of class. You gain a lot, He's not an easy A, but you'll improve substantially.
Professor Simmons was a cool teacher, but I did not enjoy the class very much. The material was just tedious to learn. There were quizzes almost every week and they were worded very weird so it was difficult to get an A. Simmons did do a grading curve though, which was very helpful. Overall, nice dude.
