hard class..good teacher goes over stuff fast in class, but very helpfull outside of class. if you go to class, read, and do the homework(very important) test will be somewhat easier.

Great guy and a great professor. Probably best I've had at SCSU. He really makes a connection with students especially with his examples in class. He even has class discussions on what we would rather do as a class (i.e. how the tests are laid out, if we want an online textbook, ect). Also, he kinda looks like the guy from Fight Club, Edward Norton

Cool teacher. In my opinion Econ is very boring, but he makes kind of interesting. I took this class before with a different prof., and failed because I couldn't stand going to class. He has good examples and he relates well to students. I definitely recommend him

Switzer is a fun prof (and easy on the eyes ;) but don't take him if you are looking for an easy A....he makes you earn it. The class pretty much sucks, but he keeps you entertained. Tests suck and the homework is a bit much.

Honestly the best professor EVER. He is really committed to his students and wants everyone to do well. He's great at explaining things and will explain them in a few different ways if people are still confused. He is very approachable and helpful and I would DEFINITELY take another class from him, he's AMAZING!

Switzer is one of the greatest teachers ive ever had, class isn't mandatory but if you want a decent grade I would recommend going to class and taking notes and also do the test study questions, they help a lot, I went to class did notes and studied and I got an easy A.

Professor Switzer made it very difficult to not get a good grade in the class. As long as you come to class, pay attention and complete the my econ labs online, you will not have a problem with this course. He makes himself very accessible with his office hours and promptly replies to emails. A+ professor!

Let's face it...Econ sucks to begin with. But Switzer makes it really...not fun, but better than what I think it would be with any other prof. His examples are witty and you laugh and want to stay focused. He's straightforward, super smart, and really relatable. The test are kind of hard, but like I said...it's Econ, not switzer. Take with him!

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS ONLINE! Unless you choose to haha. It seems all fine and dandy at first but watch out. You get 3 chances to take each test but you must pass one of them or you HAVE to withdrawl. At first that seemed doable NOT. I literally got worse on each attempt even though i had studied harder. Its your choice though. Good luck.

Seriously, he's the best prof ever. He tries to make his examples relateable and witty, and he really wants you to understand the material. He uses the chalkboard instead of powerpoints, which made me feel like he really knew the subject himself, and wasn't just reading. I would highly recommend taking his class! :]

He was the greatest professor that I have had within my 3-year career at college. I almost switched to a major in Economics (from Physics) because of the way he inspired with his clear and precise teaching. Nicest guy you will ever meet.

As far as a teacher goes, he's excellent. His teaching skills are fine tuned and unless you just don't care you'll do great in his class. He is kind of mean though. Opinionated but does not want to hear his students opinions.

Wonderful professor. He cares about what he is teaching and wants you to understand and do well. The class is hard, but that is mostly because Econ is a hard subject. You can also tell he actually knows what he is talking about because he writes directly on the chalk board instead of using power point. Great Professor.

I did not know a thing about the ECONOMICS- so looking at the rating I took him- guess what? He seems nice and all that, he gives you all the realistic examples, makes you feel you'll rock on test- the way he teaches!! And then..DARN it..Exams were all essay questions..It was too difficult and worthless. ONE of the HARDEST TESTS EVER- I swear it!

Managerial Economics - I thought this professor was extremely helpful, presented ideas clearly. Related to the students. If you understand and like economics, it should be a breeze if you pay attention.

Switzer's class is not easy, but when is economics ever easy? I have him for my online class and trust me, his videos for the class pretty much feels like it's in a real classroom atmosphere. More professors should be like him.

This class was by far not the easiest, but what Econ class is? He made it as easy as possible and was very clear what needed to be done. You can always get ahold of him when you need him too!

If you want a teacher that loves what he does and is going to teach you something this is your man. He has some funny jokes and is a young Professor that has a lot of Extra Credit to help you in the end. The course is out of 1000 points. Aplia assignments are long but very good teacher. One of the best I ever had.

You're paying for college. You're not in high school. Pleaset ake his class. Study a as you can and even email him for help. He's not that easy as you think. But he studied for his Phd and want you to get a bit of knowledge. If you're lazy please don't take.

I took both Econ 205 and 206 online with Switzer and he puts a lot of time and effort into his online courses. As for the material, it's tough cause it's econ but he always emailed me back right away when I had a question. His examples in the videos were helpful. Just do the work and you'll do fine. You definitely can't slack.

People who gave Switzer poor reviews, either don't show up to class, don't read the book, or just took ECON to satisfy a requirement and didn't put any effort into it and show it. He is extermely helpful and I have learned so much from him, I have taken 3 400 level classes with him. If you can, and you want to learn take Switzer!

I took this class online. I never liked econ until I took this professor. He gives real life situations and go into details about it. I highly recommend him. He has a sense of humor that will make you want to learn and his class is entertaining. Make sure you read the book and ask question he is really helpful. He always respond to emails.

Lots to do for Aplia homework and quizzes. Take the practice exams on D2L tons of times, they help alot. Switzer is VERY helpful and gets back to you very quickly through email. You can tell that he really cares about his students & wants them to do well. Tests are hard but if you need any help, he's very approachable & knows a lot about economics.

I took this online, and was a little overwhelmed by the amount of work- 2-3 homework per chapter, quizes, online lectures to listen to, and discussion posts. BUT I highly recommend him, I learned a lot, and he gave lots of extra credit! I would take MicroECON in class next time, but he is a really excellent professor!

This class has Aplia assignments. Book is online, don't waste your money buying it. Great professor, will answer questions. I never listened to the online lectures, but I did do each practice test probably 15 times. It's all the questions on the test, basically. Not an easy A, but definitely a caring and fair professor.

I took the online section of this class, so there was A LOT of Apila assignments, online lectures, and discussion posts. The amount of "classwork" for this online course was a little much at first, but Switzer does a really great job explaining things in the online lectures (DON'T SKIP THEM!) and if you email him any questions he gets back fast.

Dave is by the most helpful Professor I have ever had in college. I'm going to take him again this coming semester. He is clear and keeps you entertained in class. Actually cares about his students success if the student does. Provides great guidance as an advisor as well.

I thought he did a very good job with my online class. This subject is a little hard for me, but he was always willing to help. Also, his lecture videos were very helpful for me when it comes to understanding the material. I would gladly take his class again.

Since it was online, we had to watch videos, do homework/quizzes, discussion for each chapter, and then 3 unit exams. Hardest part of class was finding the time to complete everything. Was extremely helpful in making sure everyone know what was expected of them as class went on. Plan to take more of his classes in the future.

This class was really great. He uses a computer program so weekly there's a lot of outside work, but it's not that hard and if you don't get it the is willing to help. His lectures are good. Lots of real examples that you can use. His attendance is in-class activities so go to class. He cancels class at least once a month.

Professor Switzer is the best prof I have had at SCSU. He really cares about the students and wants you to do well. He uses a computer program that helps introduce the information, so his lectures are great and engaging.

I've taken many classes with Dave. Don't buy the textbook, rent maybe. He cares more than any other prof here. Classes are clear, expectations are clear, grading is transparent. Emails back within minutes, if not hours. By far the best prof at SCSU. Class isn't an easy A, but go to office hours and help is beyond comparable.

I've taken several classes with him and they've all been great. It always seems like he really cares about the subject and enjoys being a teacher. He really wants to help you learn the material and not just teach at you, his tests can be a little tough sometimes but I've learned more from him than any other professor I've had.

VERY HELPFUL

I took a hybrid personal finance class and enjoyed it. Prof uses personal stories to aid learning and was inclusive toward everyone's financial situation and strives to better the class. Outside resources were also recommended. The work and grading are mostly comprised of projects, quizzes, and self-reflection essays. This class also uses excel.

He is very helpful whenever you need help or have a question. The format of the entire class is very clear. You will do well as long as you do the work.
