His teching is bad and his accent very strong. You won't learn anything because he is very confusing. You have to correct his errors all the time and make sure he writes the right grade on his paper.You get extra credit with homework. Is easy to get A if you study and practice the book. His test are the same on the review package.

not a good teacher for math. i took this class thinking we'd have a different professor but it was him. hard to understand and doesn't give enough examples. on tests only 2 people pass. so many people have dropped that there's only 5 left...have to get a tutor to learn better.

Well I walked into the class knowing i wasn't probablly going to understand him a little but when i got to class i didnt understand him at all! i dropped his class as soon as possible.!! so i advise you do the same. he doesnt know how to explain and when asked to do another example he avoids doing them.

Horrible teacher. Very first day of class he messed up a simple linear equation board example twice, something I had mastered back in 9th grade. Can't understand him because of his accent. Wanted to strangle myself on the first day. Honestly, if you can't solve a simple linear equation on the first try, you have no business teaching.

he goes really fast with each chapter and do not know how to teach. he tries to help students but there is no way to understand him. you need to study by yourself from the book and from his practice test in order to have good grades.

I'm fairly good in math. This class was incredibly hard. I took it for 6 weeks. Not a good idea. He moves too fast. Most students did not understand him so they either dripped or just studied straight from the book. I honestly wouldnt recommend him. There is much better professors out there. Take them. He is a nice guy, but there are better teacher

I suck at math. I, & alot of others had to drop his class. He teaches as if we already knew the info, not as if we were learning. He compares us to his higher math classes, and i dont think anyone got an A on any tests. My friend was in that class, & hes great at math and even he couldnt understand him. Dont waste your time.

HORRIBLE TEACHER!! I love math. I want to major in accounting this teacher made me have second thoughts about going into math. He uses the textbook for reference but he makes up his own questions and test every time. He doesn't explain what he's doing or how he got certain numbers. Also horrible at explaining anything.

Compares Asian students to American students. Gives Math Competition problems as examples. He is the first professor I've failed with in college. DONT TAKE HIM!

Avoid taking this professor. He doesn't explain the material well, takes complicated approaches, rushes through the class, and still manages to fall behind on the syllabus. He dismisses the class 30 mins early(it was a 2 hour class), which makes it feel like I'm not getting what I payed for.

Math needs to be clearly explain in order to be understood. Unfortunately, David Tseng, in my opinion, wasn't the best in doing so. His priority, as I felt, was to make us feel dumb compared to Asians. On the other hand, I believe he is knowledgable, but that's not enough to teach! A good professor means, mostly, knowing how to reach the student.

Do not take this professor he is horrible. I am not sure I will be able to pass with him. He doesnt teach at all in class, all he does is competition exercises on the board. I study for the test all the weekend and go to the math lab every other day and still I am not passing. He teaches from other books, no explain, in test similar just 10x hard.

This is the hardest professor I have ever taken in my life. I am studying for my next test right now and he gave us 3 different books. This is crazy. He is very hard. Do not take him. I have seen people get 12100 and 20100 in his tests. Tests usually include questions from other higher level classes.

This is the worst professor I have taken in my life. The tests are hard, he starts eh lecture from the hardest examples to the esker ones which leaves you totally lost in class. Very unpredictable with the tests you never know where he is going to get the exercises from. He uses more than one book. Do not take him!

This is a terrible professor. He does not teach the material at all. All he does is talk about competition students. His tests are extremely hard with questions from levels above yours. The worst mistake ever. !!!

DO NOT TAKE HIM. Nice funny guy, only just too smart for his own good. He expects you to know everything ahead of time. His passing percentage is very low (10-15%) Unless you are a serious Mathlete you will have an extremely hard time with this professor. Speaks English but just doesn't know how to teach the material in a comprehensive way.

There are those who can do and those who cant teach. This man can do but to be honest the man should never be in academia, the man can not teach at all. Unless you are a mathlete you geared to pure mathamatics you will not pass. If your like the other 99% drop out and find another teacher.

not only he confused me and made me feel dumb, but he also made me doubt everything i know from before. keeps telling jokes and stories. he's funny but thats not why we are there. half of the lecture is jokes and stories the other half is hard fast paced math. he even sent the class an email saying to drop it if we weren't smart. not recommend him!

He is simply a study guide, does not teach anything. one exercise per concept is his method of teaching. You will have to learn how to do the exercises on your own time, outside of class.

Nice guy hard class, if you aren't the best in this specific subject don't take him. He has a heavy accent and tearhes math to fast, I showed up to every class and still didn't pass the class

Absolutely puts no effort to be a good professor. He is very lazy and unclear. You basically have to study at home and just come to class to take test.

Without a doubt the worst professor I've ever had in my life. Teaches way too fast to ever understand him, have fun studying and learning everything on your own if you ever want to pass his class. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE

Run. This man is BRILLIANT, however, his teaching style is abhorrent. He rushes through material and introduces "tricks" before you have a chance to understand the material. He confuses the class often by making mistakes mid-explanation, and introduces the material as if the class already knows the topic. I wouldn't recommend this class to my enemy

Professor Tseng isnt a good teacher. His accent is not his limiting factor in reaching his students it's his attitude and speediness to run through the material like he's bored and wants to leave. On multiple occasions he made mistakes while explaining concepts on the board. He doesn't make anyone passionate to learn the subject despite its beauty.

He teaches but he doesn't know how to explain why you got that answer. There are 6 online and 6 in paper tests. The online tests are easy, but the 6 paper tests are very hard. He has a final exam that can replace one of your lowest tests or a test you missed.

Don't take this class. the professor, although a very intelligent person, does not teach the material properly and expects his students to understand automatically. Extremely frustrating, would never take again.

So many difficult tests. Didnt give you the opportunity of doing extra credit even if you have been all the time in classes. One time I came to talk to him and I told him that the class was being hard for me and he just told me to go tutoring. Didnt give any study guide to study. He think that we have the same knowledge that he does.

could not understand anything happening in the class. would forget to add/multiply/subtract ect. something and wouldnt notice till a student would call him out on it. didnt know whether to believe the teacher or the student. 10/10 would NEVER take again.

Don't take this professor. You have to teach yourself. His lectures are confusing, fast, and not well done. He makes mistakes mid problem all the time. HORRIBLE professor. His assignments and tests are on Aleks, not on blackboard. He does not give any exceptions so if you miss a day on a test due to any personal problem like I had, he will not give you a chance. you miss it, you fail. If you're looking for a real professor to teach you the class, then you picked the wrong teacher. He doesn't care at all; he just gives you hw and tests. The only good thing is that We dont have final or midterm. His lectures are going over a review for the test. All I learned on this class was thanks to YouTube.

His teaching style is horrible. grade consist of 50% HW 50% Test. Test are more difficult than any question seen on the HW. He is not good at teaching and is not tech savy. Dont take this professor unless you want to teach yourself

The way he grades is annoying since it makes all the homework count for 50% of your overall grade. There is way too much homework for things that dont show up on tests and it is a huge time waster. Only take him if you can self study and are good at doing things on your own, the material provided is not helpful at all since he is not tech savvy.

I wouldn't call him a professor since he does not teach anything. His job is just being Pearson's customer service representative. He may as well just use windows narrator to read the power point presentation. I'm starting to believe teachers at MDC are just frauds.
