I don't think I'll ever have a better professer ever than Mr. Vande Waa. He is litterally the coolest guy you will ever meet! He makes English fun, and takes his time to expain things in a way that us youngens cn understand. He has a great sense of humor. Enlish 101 was deffinately a great icebreaker to college with Mr. Vande Waa.

I have never has a better teacher. He is super funny and vary easy to talk to. He is a professor that cares about the well being of the students. He throws a little magic in there at some point. You will have a hard time trying to find a better professor. check, plus, smiley face.

Easily the best writting instructor I have ever had. He is easily accessible and approachable, and he gives good feedback. Class discussions were always fun, and he teaches you step by step on how to write many types of papers. He also gives out helpful handouts and writes each paper along with you so you have a model to use as a guide.

He's a pretty good teacher. Random quizzes over the reading so make sure you always do the reading. Overall a great teacher. Very funny and nice.

Professor Vandewaa is different, but in a good way. He is helpful, but in a sarcastic way. He is smart, but a little nerdy. He is a great teacher, but likes English. All of these things together made class with him fun. I would highly recommend him for a teacher. Knowledge of star wars, magic, shakespeare, and science will get you extra credit.

Awesome Prof! I was not excited to be enrolled in English Comp but Prof V changed that for me. I learned more than I could have imagined, I am now more confident in my writing skills. He is extremely intelligent in a Tony Stark sort of way, only without money so it comes off more nerdy. Take his class, you will be a better writer and not regret it.

Professor V is awesome. He is straight forward and a very good teacher. When it comes to essays, he writes them along with the class and is very good at giving feedback. I hated English going into this class and he has changed that around. I highly recommend everyone take a class with professor V.

Mr. VandeWaa is my absolute favorite teacher! I've always struggled with grammar rules and he makes it seem easy. He adds humor to the discussions and makes the class fun.

English has always been one of my weaknesses as a class, but Professor VandeWaa has done a really good job keeping class interesting, and trying to get everybody involved in in-class activities.

Professor V has you in his best interest. If you put in the effort and do your best, you'll do fine. Slacking is not an option in his class.

He wants everyone to succeed, but does make you read, but it's all interesting material. He really knows his stuff even though he's so young. His age makes him even more relatable and understanding.

A good teacher!

Really good professor. He enjoys what he teaches and does his best to make it interesting to his students. The class is a lot of reading, but if you manage your time well it isn't so bad. He also gives a lot of extra help through emails and just staying after class. One of my favorite professors so far.

I didn't learn much (it's English 101), but the professor was intelligent and there were some interesting conversations.

Really great professor! Loves what he teaches and is really passionate about it all. There is a lot of reading for this course, but it is all good material overall. Some of the stories were a little lengthy, but it all worked out. Did very well & learned a lot! :)

Great teacher, who makes the class fun. It is all written and spelled out for you at the beginning f the course what exactly you will be doing throughout the course. He also makes learning fun and interactive, you will talk about what you read and be helped to understand it more. We moves in circle and groups making it much more fun to learn.

Teacher was intelligent and knowledgeable, but treated the class like it was a much more basic class than it was. We started the class by covering very basic grammar rules that should have been done in high school and even junior high.

Great teacher, really wants to help his students succeed. You don't HAVE to talk in class, but generally he wants a discussion with everyone involved. You will have to read quite a bit, but if you miss one or two it's talked about in class, so make sure you go to every class and pay attention!

Not the easiest class I've taken, but certainly not the hardest either. He makes the class interesting with his cute, dorky jokes. You'll love him and I recommend that everyone take this class with him.

Very funny guy. He's a tough paper grader, but you just need to show that you're trying and he'll help you out. He wants you to do well.

I hate English and wasn't looking forward to this class, but he's a real cool guy and he's helpful if you stay after class.

Everything is made very clear at the beginning of the semester of what you'll have to do over the next 15 weeks. There's no surprises, which is really nice. He helps out a lot too with emailing you late at night if you're stuck on a paper, most teachers aren't as nice and willing to help like that. He knows you'll wait until last minute.

The professor was nice, but the way he talked got confusing and sometimes went way off track.

This class was very easy going. I really enjoyed it overall. We learned lots of good material and it was made fun. I liked that he had an outline that mapped out the 15 weeks of class. There was no reason not to know what we were doing every day. Great teacher!

English is not my cup of tea, but with the guidance of Professor VandeWaa English became bearable and a little fun. He is a great professor, and definitely knows what he is talking about. Infact, he's what I might classify as nerdy, but that didnt hold him back from being a cool guy. It was a comfortable class and the magic tricks were great. :)

This professor knows his material extremely well, and he is quite lenient towards students show make usual mistakes such as oversleeping. This is rare to find these days, and it is much appreciated. Keep up the good work!

This class is very helpful for new college students and in my opinion is the best ENG 101 Professor to have. He is there for you whenever you have a problem and is very understanding. This is a fun class that I encourage you to take.

I loved this class. I am not a huge fan of English, but this class made me realize that English is not so bad. The professor is their for the students, and is very good at communicating with you at anytime. (Inperson or email). I wish that he taught more classes because I would take them in a heartbeat.
