Professor Vitt was pretty intimidating the first day but he lightens up as the semester progressed. Lectures were interesting. A LOT and LONG but I mean thats college. Homework and quizzes were given. READ the text book so you dont fall behind. Go to office hours and you should be fine. He was truly an amazing professor that I would take again!!

Professor Vitt's class is challenging, but that's part of the college experience. I had to work for the grade I wanted, but his class was a great experience. Having no background in economics, I was able to learn a lot. Sure, his office hours are early and he expects you to read the book - welcome to college. Would definitely recommend this class!

He manages to make a pretty boring subject interesting. The topics aren't easy and you will have to read a lot, but his lectures really do help to digest the material. He has office hours like 4 days a week, I went to those often and it was a huge help. If you are tempted to be lazy, you probably should think twice about his class.

I had the opportunity to learn Micro-Economics from Dr. Vitt. He always comes to class with a smile on his face ready to teach. His passion for the subject matter and teaching students is evident through every lecture. I met with him in his office hours and he always succeeded in relating the questions to my way of learning. Love Dr. Vitt! He's so personable, enthusiastic and really encourages you to ask questions. Very down to earth and answers emails in a timely manner. Attendance doesn't count towards anything, but it's important to attend lecture as he covers a lot in one class. Love him! Would recommend 100%

Is the class hard? Yes, BUT Vitt will help you out in any way that he can. He doesn't want to see his students fail. Office hours were helpful and he will gladly email you if you're confused. Midterm. Final. About 7 hw's & extra credit.

Course was challenging and very interesting. Dr. V is clearly very smart and puts effort into helping the students who also put in effort. I showed up to his office hours and got great 1-on-1 attention when I got stuck on homework. Exams were fair- straight from the homework and examples, I put them on my cheat sheet and got high marks on both.

Professor Vitt is helpful and understanding. He posts the lecture slides in advance and gives examples and outside information to help the students understand the topic. Be prepared to answer questions, he will call on you. The homework's are fair. He is accessible outside of class through email and office hours.

Literally the fairest teachers at Farmingdale State. He's clear on his grading system. He makes the learning environment pressure-free + gives you a week to finish your homework along with unlimited attempts so you're sure to get a 100 every time. As long as you do your work, you'll be fine. Lets you use cheat sheets on tests!

He gives you a lot of homework but its really to help your overall grade because homeworks are like half your grade and then a midterm and a final. Hes really nice and he does try to make the work apply to you. Im not good at economics so it was nice to know he was willing to help

Defiantly my number one professor. He cares about teaching and it shows through his lecture. He is there to help you learn and does not want to see any one of his students fail. He always available after class and very understanding and flexible.

Dr. Vitt was outstanding. He knows his stuff and teaches it very well. The homework he assigned was concise and useful. He gives you everything you need to do well on his exams. He also gives extra credit, and teaches very useful practical skills. Office hours and a plus.

Its a descent class the best way to learn the material is by participating and asking questions. the homework is assigned on blackboard close to every week and most questions seem to be pulled from quizlet. You will learn macro but you could probably do the same watching crash course and still pass

Absolutely loved having Dr. Vitt as a professor. He definitely wants the student to learn the material and practice it; he's not just teaching to teach. Homework is an easy hundred, extra credit available, and the grading isn't too harsh. 100% recommend taking him for microeconomics!

Awesome professor, very enthusiastic about economics and explains it in a way a layman can understand. HW once a week and he take sattendance but does not count it towards the grade. Vitt is sooo great! I've had him for a few econ classes and this is by far my fave. Is the content easy? Nooo, but he makes it super interesting because he clearly is passionate about the topic and about teaching us this way of thinking. This class is no joke, its unlike anything else economics and is both stimulating and very very challenging. Vitt is great, you can tell this is his specialty, he loves talking about econometrics. Was a solid Professor to have. The class is lecture and textbook based, it is definitely recommended that your read the assigned textbook for an hour a day after each class of the given chapter lecture. Overall as long as you make the effort to be in class and stay focused, you'll do great.

Young guy, very enthusiastic about economics. Never took attendance and participation didn't matter. Mid-term online, final in class. Good at explaining subjects but the HW and tests were pretty math and logic intensive and he doesn't spend a lot of time going over that so you better have a solid understanding of that stuff. Textbook helps.

Was a really good professor. Final and midterm material were all well explained. Class offered a challenge, but with good effort you can get an A. Lots of online homework that is relative to the class. Good lectures and communication from the professor makes the class easy to understand.

Had Dr. Vitt for both macro & micro. All online hw and thats half of your grade. Tests are extremely hard, but fair if you READ the textbooks!! Just a final and midterm, and allows cheat sheets for both. Will also randomly call on you in class, so know your stuff! Great guy, really knows his stuff, he's pretty funny and sarcastic too.

Im not going to lie, this course is very challenging, but is also very satisfying. DONT SKIP YOU WONT PASS. Vitt is great, hes very animated and cares about us learning this rough topic. Tests are long and difficult, beware of that. Homework is straightforward. If you want to see him angry tell him you accepted the null hypothesis.

Dr. Vitt was very helpful during office hour and provided lots of feedback when I went. He grades hard, will make you work for it. The math in the class isn't hard, it's tedious. The stats side is rough at first, but made more sense the more we reviewed it. Paper deadlines should be more spaced out. Learned a lot, he's funny, can be savage though!

An amazing professor. He has lots of enthusiasm in his lectures and is willing to spend a bit of time explaining things that some people don't understand or can't follow very well. His attendance is based on HW participation which is done online so as long as you study the online materials you do well in his class . Definitely would take him again.

This course is a hard course but Professor Vitt tries his best to get everyone on the same page. He made class interesting even though we were constantly flying through chapters. If you miss class a lot odds are you will not pass.

Professor Vitt is literally the definition of GOAT. He is funny, kind, and well respected. I have taken him for 3 Econ courses and will be taking him for a fourth in the spring of 2021. He is tough, but he will do anything in his power to help you. Make sure you read the textbook to know how to do the homework. Took online bc of COVID. Love him!

One of the toughest professors I've had in my academic career. He will make you break a sweat for every homework and quiz/lab that'll give you a couple of grey hair. In terms of lectures, this dude can teach! He will answer any question you have and explains complex topics in simplest form possible. Overall, If you really want to learn, Take him.

He's adapted his teaching style to the online format and he hasn't skipped a beat. He also records and adds videos to elaborate on his lectures in case you miss them. I've taken multiple courses with Dr. Vitt and he's the BEST Economics professor. DVITT is one of the best professors on campus. He cares about his students, he is very organized. Read the textbook, follow along, participate, and you will do fantastic in his class. By far one of my favorite teachers. Funny and actually has simple student involvement which makes online classes somewhat more enjoyable. Uses Mindtap for weekly HW and records lectures. Occasional pop quizzes but are easy 4 questions or less. Even gives extensions and tons of opportunities to help you pass almost every exam! I strongly recommend!

ECO 372 is a really interesting class, and DVITT did a great job conveying the topics within game theory ! Overall, 10/10 !!!

ECO380 is a medium to hard on a scale of difficulty but nonetheless DVITT did a really good job with lectures and labs.

Amazing professor all around, he's a young guy so he connects with most students. Lectures were based off the textbook's ppt but he ALWAYS took notes at the bottom of every slide. "This is a very hard class, but we will work together". It is a very hard class indeed, but prof Vitt makes it so much of a smoother ride given his video-lab instructions and open resources. He was very active on email and had open office hours. Not an easy hybrid class at all, try to find an external tutor to help with R. Lots of weekly work.

This class was a breeze. Lectures were straight forward, homeworks were always due at the end of the week, only two tests all year. Professor Vitt made this class a pleasure, and I actually learned things compared to other 100 level classes.

I am in the middle of taking his ECO 157 course, I also took him for ECO 156. Definitely take his class! He is a great guy, he wants his students to learn. Very quick to respond to e-mails, you are allowed to use cheat sheets on tests, and he goes at a reasonable pace in lectures. It is important to read the chapters outside of class time.

I honestly found the class boring but he made an effort to make it interesting. He's honestly one of the most chill & genuine professors you'll ever have. On top of the homeworks being easy, he lets you have cheat sheets to help with passing the tests. He understands the burdens of a college student. Great guy.

The best professor for Macroeconomics at FSC. Lectures are engaging and enlightening, and I encourage you to engage with the material as much as possible. He delivers lectures in a succinct manner and is always willing to provide detailed explanations with examples if you have any questions. You should definitely take his class. He's good!!

Completely online, expected to complete 3 assignments every week-- composed of discussion board, quiz and mindtap hw, Provided some instructional videos from other creators, but I would have preferred videos of him teaching the material. Responsive over email. 1-2 extra credit opportunities.

Dr. Vitt knows what he is talking about and tries to connect the lectures to students. Lectures do get long and boring at times. Almost no classwork, some in-class quizzes, and lots of homework for every chapter but gives us about 2 weeks to complete it. The Midterm and Final are worth 1/2 our grade combined. He allows cheat sheets for both exams.

There's a lot of homework for this class, but he drops 2. There are only 2 exams a midterm and a final, if you don't do well on the midterm he gives you the same grade you get on the final if your grade is better on the final. Just make sure you do all the homework and pay attention in class and you'll do well. Dr. Vitt is great take his class.

Very nice guy. Makes the class as easy as possible. He is entertaining and doesn't make a big deal if you are running late or can not make it. Class had online homeworks and you have to purchase mindtap. The mindtap homeworks do take a bit so make sure to prepare but they are easy if you pay attention.
