He's the best

He's one of the most genuine type of person you will ever meet and I'm not even kidding. He literally cares so much about all his students and continues to care, and is willing to help anyone who asks him for help. He is so nice and hilarious. Definitely my favorite teacher and Accounting isn't even my major.

It was a privilege to have Professor Waite. He is helpful, caring, loving, generous, kind, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, encouraging, and funny. The course is designed that you could do most of it at home on the computer. HOWEVER, I HIGHLY recommend going to class. In class you will practice the skills needed to succeed in basic accounting.

He teaches accounting in such a way that every one would understand it, he simplify accounting method that is easily understood. Prof Waite is RAD. Anyone wanting to make sense of business basics should take this class. You use Excel in the class, but the learning curve is quick for those who haven't used it, and it gets you excited to start dreaming up business ideas. Prof Waite genuinely loves his students and makes the class fun and interesting.

Brother Waite is a great professor! He is great at helping with difficult concepts and making sure everyone knows what they are doing. All the lessons and quizzes are completed online. I highly recommend going to class... It's difficult to pass the exams if you don't come because he teaches additional material and explains the online lessons.

I love David Waite, and thoroughly enjoyed his class. However, his Entrepreneurship 180 class was somewhat difficult because of the lack of understanding the financial statements. While most students in the class were experienced accounting majors, the few students that were new to the material struggled understanding the Balance & Cash Flow sheets

This is a class you can look forward to going to. Makes the class very entertaining and interactive while you learn a lot. It's a pretty easy A, he seems to only really be concerned about you learning the material. I would highly recommend

Accounting 302 is considered one of the hardest financial accounting classes on a college campus. I am so grateful I had David Waite for the class. His ability to teach complex subjects at an understandable level is a gift. Don't miss his classes and put in the work outside of class and you should do well.

Waite is one of the best professors I've ever had. He is respected, inspirational, accessible outside of class, has clear grading criteria, funny, great lectures, and cares about his students. You do have to do the work to understand accounting, but if you just do it he will help you understand it so well. There is a quiz at the beginning of class.

David Waite was hands down the best professor in the BYUH accounting department, bar none. He cares so much about his students, and will do anything to help you succeed. He goes above and beyond in taking care of his students, helping you with job searches, class, and life. While not an easy class, he always takes care to explain it well and help.

Accounting 302 is easily the hardest class I have taken at BYU. I wouldn't have understood half the material if it was for Mr. Waite. He has the ability to take the most overwhelming concepts and present them and obvious terms. Most importantly he cares about your success. Waite loves to teach and really cares for his students. In Acct 302, there was always homework which is the norm of an acct class. His lectures are very helpful and he's willing to answer questions. You'll solve problems on the board and discuss with classmates. Exams aren't tricky, they are what you learned during class and when you did homework.

He is willing to solve mysteries with you. Assignments quizzes are fair games, but do require efforts. Teaches more from a career experiences approach.

I'm a health major this class was challenging for me. However, David teaches in a way that is clear and easy to understand. He cares about his students and really connects with them. Practice outside of class often and you will pass the class. At the end of semester you might not enjoy the subject but you'll enjoy having David teach you.
