He's a wonderful teacher. He's very nice and helps you alot throughout the semester. You have to study for the exams and the quizes but he makes the class very interesting. You'll enjoy it and I highly highly recommended. You have to do work but he will make it easy for you. Good Professor

The good thing about his class is that he tries his best to make it fun and interesting. The bad thing is that you must be prepared to read alot. Also, I took this class as a hybrid and although all tests were online and open book, on more than one occasion he had to curve, which I think speaks for itself in refernce to 'easiness'.

Very fun and entertaining hybrid class. Things we're doing: Slowly reading 2 books. They are pretty good. The textbook, in which several quizzes are based on. And the big group project based on a book he assigns you (starbucks, jetblue, target, or dell, etc.). Everything is pretty easygoing, lots of time to take care of everything. Gr8 prof.

Has to be one of the most interesting/well taught classes that I've ever had at FIU. This guy really enjoys teaching and it shows by the games/projects that he gives the students. Easy A if you pay attention to the syllabus - lowest exam grade dropped for hybrid

He keeps his class interesting, has everyone involved, understanding with the tests, and the way he has the class designed you are always involved with the class because you are always doing small hws, not the 2hr mini-research papers some profs make you do.

I really looked forward to this class. He is one of the best professors. He gives us a ton of extra credit opportunities. In class he shows videos, he gives trivia questions, and we have some really good group presentations (since everyone is competing). All the exams and quizzes are on WebCT. Highly recommended!

He's SO CHEEZY. Gives a bajillion opportunities for pts. Group Project and Tests make up the most (more than 50% for project.) You learn about strategies used by really successful and unsuccessful companies. The Trivias are fun and give your group extra credit pts. and the rubber chicken tells you when your time is up. TAKE HIM!

Great professor!!! You'll have 3 exams, a ton of reading, many quizes, and two group projects. Be prepaired to spend a lot of time on this course. This is not a hard class, but it takes a lot of time in order to complete all the necessary reading and assignments. His exams are 75 questions long, so be prepaired!!!

Great professor. Keeps the class interested. He's a kool teacher and woould take him again he he teaches another class. You have to read alot, you have 4 test you get to drop 1 (75 questions). Read the chapters and you will do good in class. Gives alot of extra credit. Getting a B on the class and barely trying. Group project also (fun).

Really quirky and goofy guy, but his class is really easy and he keeps things interesting. Really good at keeping track of posts on Blackboard. There is a group assignment which was a pain for me because a few people barely carried their own weight. The first day you will be put into these groups and have to assign a team captain; choose wisely.

FUN ACTIVE class! feels like your in a gameshow lol, you are placed in a group of 12 members and have to do assignments and debate. Tests/quizzes were straight from the book and Prof Wernick kept class entertaining! Got an A++

There is a reason why they say he is a GREAT professor. His classes are dynamic, interesting, and doable. There is a good amount of work to do, but nothing that is going to keep you up at night. No one else tops this guy.

This class was fairly easy. There is a lot of reading. You have to spend a lot of time on his work. He requires you to buy 5 extra books in addition to the textbook. Attendance not mandatory but if you don't come and he calls your name then you lose all your xtra credit.There is a lot of reading involved and also video watching.Not an easy a but the prof works really hard to make the class interesting. I would say you have to invest more than 2.5 hrs a week into just this class on a normal week with no web quiz

This class is very easy. If you want an easy "A", take this class with this professor. I am very studious, and I found that I did not have to do much to earn my "A." There are many assignments and you have to keep up with the class and the due dates for the assignments. But they are not CHALLENGING.

Great professor, his PPT's are enjoyable and keep you interested and involved in the topic at hand. Tests are done online through blackboard and are very fair, attendance isnt mandatory but crucial if you want to do well on the web assignments and/or not lose your extra credit. Great professor. His lectures were pretty good. He assigns a lot of extra reading and video watching for quizzes, but it's all very useful and interesting. It's not hard to get an A. Class isn't mandatory but definitely helps because he bases assignments from things shown in class. He also gave a lot of extra credit and was lenient at times with people who needed more help. Overall, he's someone whose class you'll leave actually having learned if you put in some effort.

The class is alright, but i want to warn people about it. He floods you with busy work, some of the videos are very long and his quizzes are very specific so you have to pay attention. I took it online, and the test were quite hard. All in all he is probably the best teacher to take but the workload can get hectic.

Overall, a good professor. Really tries to keep the class interesting. Make sure to have the Powerpoints and textbook open when taking the exam. All 4 exams are online. The first 4 readings are interesting. Definitely recommend them. Also pay attention to the videos he shows in class even if they aren't Web assignments because they will be tested.

Professor Wernick is a must take professor. He is extremely knowledgable and probably one of the very few that actually takes his class seriously but makes the topic enjoyable. He engages students and he's just an all around great professor.

The professor picked very good material to teach this class and he made it enjoyable. The books, the videos, and the extra readings he assigned had great content. I can say I learned with those. The bad is that his lectures just went over the material quickly; they were enjoyable, but I did well because I read, not because of the lectures really.

This guy is pretty awesome. I followed him to three different courses. I somehow got a B+ in two courses but finally got my A in International Risk. Im happy with a B+ considering the exams weren't gimmies but for the effort put in you cannot go wrong.

Hes so nice. I was nervous at first but I ended up liking the class. He mostly talks and puts funny slides. Theirs one debate which isn't too bad and one in class final, the rest online. I would recommend.

3 exams, about 6-8 quizzes, all online. Mandatory group debates and final in class. Slides he teaches with are posted online. Attendance is not mandatory but you risk losing your bonus points if you are absent and called up. Great professor, but the class can get a little repetitive and boring to attend. Overall, it was a good experience.

He is very nice and his class at first is somewhat easy. 3 mini exams, quizzes on couple books you need to read, group debate, and in test final. Final is very hard. Cumulative (12 chapters, over 300 key terms to study). His PowerPoints get boring (over 70 slides). Overall OK, I wouldn't take him again.

Easy Class! Must take, he is extremely lenient and he makes you read 4 novels, the textbook, and he has 7 quizzes, 3 Mini exams, 2 Web Assignments, and an Online Final. Although he has a pretty monotone voice, Prof Wernick has been great. He has very simple assignments and assessments (all online) that open on the weekends. The class has quite a bit of reading, but there were plenty of extra credit opportunities throughout the semester. Attendance isn't taken, but definitely recommended. I would take him again.

He is a great lecturer. I learned a lot in his class. Is a large auditorium class, so attendance is not mandatory, but he might give extra credit. Exams are online and are not that hard. There is 1 group project (debate) and a couple of assignments. The book is not really necessary, but it is useful for the tests.

This teacher is an AMAZING lecturer. He can really keep your attention and his class is actually fun. He does these little challenges that are fun for extra credit. The material is not hard at all. Professor Wernick was great! He assigns weekly readings with online quizzes that are straight forward. His 4 tests are all online, but certain circumstances lead to a change in the syllabus this past semester. If you read the book and study his lectures it's definitely passable. I would definitely take him again. The material is super interesting!

His lectures are fun and interactive. He tries really hard to make the material interesting. There are videos, and boos that you need to read that I found were absolutely helpful and some of them inspirational. I passed the class with a B+ with average effort. Really good Professor and Nice, Quizzes are online and Tests are in Class but if you study from his Powerpoint and Review that he provides than you will defenitaly get a passing grade.

Took him for 6 weeks. Very intense course with weekly quizzes on books we had to read (4 books different from classroom book) and 2 tests with 80+ questions. If the class was manageable to take in 6 weeks, I am assuming it is way easier in a normal semester. Definitely take him. Very funny gets the class involved!

HE IS SO HELPFUL. He responds to email extremely quickly and is very understandable when it comes to due dates. This term he made some adjustments for us and is always willing to help. 4 exams, some quizzes, and some web assignments. There's 4 exams online but they're easy. I studied a bit before the actual tests and passed. He makes you watch these videos about companies but they're actually interesting. the only annoying thing about the class is the little books he make you read. theres like 3 of them but theyre not long.

Good professor. His lectures are very interesting & he gives study guides for the exam that will tell you exactly what topics will be on the midterm and the final. As long as you use those study guides, you will do fine. Lots of reading since there are quizzes on supplemental books he assigns but they are interesting books you can learn a lot from.

Understanding and the grading criteria is clear, he gives a lot of extra credit and responses if you email him with any questions. if you have to take a management class this is the professor to take it with. Also you get to debate cases in class and its really entertaining and informative! 10/10

Pretty good professor for such a tedious topic. HUGE CURVES FOR MIDTERM AND FINAL EXAMS!!! Basically can make your B to an A. Weekly quizzes based on short, simple books that you have to read. The short books are cheap! Don't need the class main book. Extra credit opportunities. Take him!

Very clear syllabus and expectations. He gives study guides telling you exactly what to focus on from his powerpoints and textbook. Follow those and you will do well on exams. The quizzes, based on the other short books are easy if you read the books. After his curves I ended up with both my exam grades above 100%. I really liked his sense of humor

This professor really cares about his students, but if you are lazy don't take this class. This class was overall easy if you pay attention in class and do what the professor asks you to do. There is a group project but not everyone is required to talk in front of the class. Midterm and final are proctored. Attendance is mandatory. I would take him

One of the best professors at FIU, lectures are very interesting. Lots of reading and quizzes that are important since the class is based on points, not on %. 1 group project that's worth 50 points, midterm/final (150ea). Attendance is not mandatory, but there are extra-credits, if you miss class you and you get called, you won't get future points.

Dr. Wernick is an awesome teacher. His lecture slides are interesting and he really prepares you. Lots of reading but the books you read are interesting and relevant. He has high expectations for his projects but he is fair. I really had to work for an A but it wasnt unreasonable.

Took him in Spring 2020 online. He gives 3 assignments (papers about 500 words), Discussions (with 2 responses) and quizzes for each chapter, 4 tests (that are open book and open notes). Attendance is not mandatory even on his weekly zoom meetings. He gives an exam review sheet write your notes for the exam off of this. You will pass.

Professor Wernick is really caring and tries to make his lectures fun. He gives extra points in class through fun games and really likes participation. Tests were proctored but open book and quizzes were short and easy. He does ask for a couple of short books for you to read in class but, again, they are really short.

I have taken this professor for multiple classes and he's a real gem. His grading criteria is really clear and makes the class really easy and fun at times. You will have to read a lot in this class but it shouldn't be too difficult. If you have a chance, take this professor you won't regret it!

Professor Wernick gives clear instructions and the class is overall an easy A if you actually read the material. He has 10 quizzes on supplemental material (3 short books) theyre actually really fun to read and interesting short stories. Other than that based on the textbooks there are 4 exams throughout the course of the semester.

This was the best professor I had during my first semester at FIU. He has extra credit games in the middle of lectures which makes the class very fun and interactive. He is funny and gives good and interesting lectures. Exams you need to study but we could have an index card. Overall great class and the professor always made sure to make it dinamic

We read two books throughout the course which were major parts of our grade. We had a quiz every other week on the book or a video that was least an hour long. In addition to the two books, each week we also needed to read 4-5 articles that were anywhere from 2-28 pages long. Exams were very overwhelming due to be based on a lot of material.

Professor Wernick genuinely cares about his class and his students, and it is very obvious. He has 4 exams, all of which have study guides posted on Canvas prior, and all of the material is covered in class. He makes the class exciting and engages his students with his enthusiasm for what could have been a not-so-fun class. 10/10 would recommend.

Overall, Prof. Wernick is a good prof. & I would recommend based what you are looking for. Meaning that he is a good professor & you can def pass the class but it won't be easy so, if you are looking for an easy A then this class is a NO. You'll have 4 in person exams(you can bring a 4x6 card) and quizzes every week + some other assignments.

I had Professor Wernick 20 years ago for International Business (MAN 4602) and still remember him to this day. He was an amazing professor! There was a lot of reading but he was very fair. If a student reads the material and takes notes during his lectures, he/she should have no problem on the test.

this prof makes his long lectures fun by mixing participation and pop quiz questions on the PowerPoints called Starbucks challenge. its a fun way to engage the class especially since our lecture was at 7 till 9. id take him again because all the info we needed was in the powerpoints making it easy to make quizlets, study,and pass. took him fall2022

Overall Professor Wernick is very kind and cares for his students. If you decide to take this course with him beware that there are 4 exams IN PERSON and a quiz online every week. If you're looking to get an easy A do not take this class because in order to pass you 100% need to study.

Prof. assigns two to three assignments per week in addition to really engaging lectures about current events. He is dependable, adaptable, and an efficient email responder. Quizzes are simple, but exams can be challenging. I would definitely take the professor again because the class is excellent overall.

he doesn't take attendance but if you do show up to class he does a activity where you will be able to earn extra credit. Only graded by quizzes and test but with the quizzes you are given four-ish books to read but they are very short, as long as you put effort into the class you'll pass easily. Class is lecture heavy but he makes it fun

He's a gem. The best lectures ever, he's very engaging. Easy to stay awake and pay attention. Class participation is encouraged and enjoyable. Extra credit if you answer topic-related trivia. Quizzes based on books. Exams are easy IMO if you study. He gives great feedback and truly cares.

Took this course for my business elective but ended up really interested and enjoyed the class. Professor Wernick's lectures are entertaining and makes attending lecture worth it. There is a group project so be aware of that but this class was great and the exams were not very difficult at all. If you need a professor for IB, TAKE HIS CLASS!
