Very fun teacher and striaght to the point. Has a heart for his students. The class has a lot of papers due but only 1-3 pages for each. I would def. take him again!

Dr. Wheeler is amazing. His lectures are great. I actually enjoy and look forward to his class. His work is more tedious than Professor Love, but his classes are worth it. He gets right to the point.

His classes are amazing. This is a man with a passion for God. Genuinely loves everyone he sees and is always in a great mood and willing to help. He lives it outside of class too. I love his classes and material comes straight from the study guide. Pretty easy (if you keep up with the work) and you learn a lot at the same time.

dr. wheeler is a great guy for sure, but he can be unclear about assignments, and uses a GA to do all the grading and posting, which is how a lot of professors are, but with one GA for hundreds of students.. don't expect to see your grades until after you take your final! also, attendance is intense and if you miss 2 class it'll affect your grade!

Dr. Wheeler is a good guy, and a good teacher. But he treats his students like they are still in high school. Forces you to turn off cell phone or he takes it and will "call your parents". A lot of people say he keeps their attention, but I have a hard time paying attention, he keeps us for most of the 3 hour class.

Wheeler's Evan class is very easy. He will literally shout out some of the answers during his tests. He is also very energized and likes to tell stories. However, I'm not sure if I would consider this to really be a college level class. The lectures are "dumbed down"/not too interesting. He also ends about 10 minutes late.

Extremely easy, but attendance is part of your grade. All the Evan classes will be easy, so pick Wheeler because he's a fantastic speaker and motivator! And his laugh is hysterical.

Dr. Wheeler's enthusiasm is contagious. He wants his students to learn that Evangelism is a part of the everyday life of a Christian. He is willing to work with you to help you learn and he does lots of things for his students that most people will never see or know about. It is nice to have a professor who cares and does what he teaches.

Dr. Wheeler is an energetic, kind man who knows what he is talking about when it comes to evangelism. He is very passionate about it. I am just not a big fan of the class in general. You have to write a paper over who you witness to for an actual grade. If the 3 unexcused absence policy didnt exist you could skip every W&F and still get an easy A.

Such an AMAZING professor with such an awesome family story/testimony! Quizzes and tests are easy. With the tests he gives you a study guide which is an exact copy of the test! He even gives you answers on the quizzes right there in the class of 500 students. Super good and energetic but with powerful speaking. Take him, you won't regret it!

Dr. Wheeler is the best professor I've had at LU. He is so clearly full of wisdom & the Holy Spirit. He genuinely cares for each student, even though classes are so big. Makes it a point to pray for those whose family members aren't saved, which meant so much to me. This class changed my life & Dr. Wheeler is one of the only profs at Liberty who truly practices what he preaches. Has such respect for God & his family!

Great lectures but most were not relevent to what you were graded on. The tests in many cases ended up testing you on what specifically was said in books and boiled down to memorizing statements instead of learning ideas. He was very passionate, and pushed students into being involved with their faith however. I would take the class from him again.

Dr. Wheeler is perhaps one of the best teachers I had while at Liberty. He really challenged me to reach out to the lost. Although I don't agree with all the Evangelism methods his class pushed me outside of my comfort zone. This guy is real when it comes to his faith. He shows courage in what he has endured for the cross of Christ.

Although the class itself may seems pointless at times, David Wheeler is the perfect man to be teaching this class. I loved Dr. Wheeler's class. He is so easy and he the mid-term and Final are based off some of the quiz questions and powerpoints.

Get ready to have your life changed. His goal is to do just that, and this class helped me solidify some views on important christian concepts. Required evangelism sucked at first but he's only helping you fulfill christian duties and the servent evan project helped me find an awesome church.

I don't really agree with the class being in place and mandatory but you have to be pretty non smart to get anything less than an A in this class. You do have to go to class though, but nothing in class is on the quizzes or tests. Just sermons pretty much. I like Wheeler.

Ridiculously easy class..more like Sunday school than class, actually. But you do have to fill out the study guides if you want to do well on most of the quizzes. Awesome man of God though...he will inspire you to be more vocal about your faith.

Wheeler is fantastic! He really has a passion for the subject. The reading and quizzes can sometimes be laborious, but there are study guides for every single one. Attendance is mandatory. He brings in guest speakers on occasion. He loves interacting with the students. He will put you out of your comfort zone but at the end you'll appreciate it.

Best Religion Professor at Liberty next to Towns and Matthews, and I had the privilege of taking all 3!

He's fabulous. Anyone will learn a lot from his class. "Put your cell phones up," is heard quite frequently in class, he doesn't let technology in the classroom, but by the end he'll give you his reasons why. His family and life story really put the class into perspective, and students always walk away with something new. Take him! He's wonderful!

Good teacher, got me really interested in the concept of evangelism. No tolerance for sleeping or for technology use in the classroom, but he's an upstanding guy. The midterm and final are easy if you pay attention and actually do your work. Don't be scared by the witnessing and servant evangelism papers-he gives you plenty of opportunity to do it.

Wheeler is probably the nicest professor will ever meet. His class was always interesting, and super easy. Basically gave us the answers to our quizzes. Had a three hour Monday night class with him, and he almost always let us out early. Even with a large class, he's always willing to talk with and pray for you. Just don't fall asleep in his class!

He will spend hours of his time if needed to help you with whatever you need! so caring and genuine and lives everything he speaks! it would be a huge mistake to not ever take his class!!

Not a huge fan of the class itself as it is too general ( but that's why it is a 101 course), but Dr. Wheeler is definitely the best prof. To take it with.. he gives a lot of extra credit, really cares about his students, has an amazing testimony, and his class is easy but engaging.

Dr. Wheeler is awesome. EVAN isn't the most exciting class in the world but Dr. Wheeler does his best to make it interesting. It is nearly impossible to not get an A he gives so much extra credit, I barely did any of the homework and still got an A with about 100 points to spare.

Wheeler is absolutely amazing! If you just put in the effort to pay attention his lectures will really be life changing. And its basically impossible not to pass with an A because of the amount of extra credit he gives (its wonderful). He has a heart for students and is almost always available to talk with students after class. Plus he's hilarious!

EVAN 101 is the best class I have taken at Liberty thus far. Dr. Wheeler is extremely energetic and funny. It is impossible not to love this man, as he sort of becomes an almost grandpa figure. His relationship with God is admirable and his expectations of his students are 100% biblical. As far as exams go, they are super easy! Miss this class!

There is absolutely no reason for anyone not to take Dr. Wheeler. He is probably the most popular professor on campus, and for good reason. I have never had a teacher who was so willing to help students with ANYTHING. He regularly prays for students in class and is dedicated to not only teaching but showing us how to live as Christ followers.

Where do I begin? Dr. Wheeler is probably my favorite professor ever. Always there for his students and fun to talk to. I almost switched to Pastoral Leadership to have him again. Only downside is this is his only undergrad class. Would highly suggest his class to anyone. Do the reading and the extra credit and you will end with an easy A.

Dr. Wheeler is an amazing professor. He's funny, but serious when he needs to be. He keeps the mood light. He cares a lot about his students, and truly will be anything in his power to help. My one issue with the class is that the material could realistically be taught in about three hours. We don't really need an entire semester of this class.

It is not often that students will wait in line to speak with their professor. Students trust and love Dr. Wheeler because he is genuine. There shouldn't be any other professors teaching Evangelism except for Dr. Wheeler because he is that great. He is famous on campus believe me. 100% would take again. He loves his students.

Although there are lectures each class period, they will inspire you and give you a different outlook on various aspects of life. His love for teaching, his students, his family, and for the Lord is undeniable.

Dr. Wheeler is AMAZING. I don't know a single person at Liberty who doesn't like this guy. Everyone speaks so highly of him, and you can see why when you take his class. You will never feel more loved than when you sit in on his class. I would take it again in a heartbeat.

Dr. Wheeler treats his students as family, even after they are no longer taking his class! Very inspiring. You will grow deeply in your faith. I took Dr. Wheeler's class my first semester of freshman year. I knew before I even went through financial check in that I had to take his class because he was so good. Beyond caring, always makes his students laugh, and offers tons of extra credit work. He's not just a professor, he makes it clear that he is there for his students no matter what!

Wheeler is so kind and really cares for his students. There was a baptism in my class and that was really amazing. The only downfall was that we did have assigned seating.

Quality guy and quality lectures. You have to try hard to fail, literally I got 20 EC points. Would hands down take another one of his classes. Very intentional and such a sweet guy. You'll regret taking anyone but Wheeler. Also the workbook is graded at the end of the semester so make sure you buy it and show up to class for notes!

I loved this class. As long as you read the chapters out of both books required, complete your Servant Evangelism, and take notes in class, the class is an easy A+. I would take this again for credit in a heartbeat!

This professor is very inspirational, and absolutely cares for the well-being of his students. However, he won't hold back from calling out those who don't participate in class or who are disrespectful. Still, his high expectations are challenging yet invigorating.

One of the most loved professors at Liberty. I think he has great relationships with some students but its hard in a class with 400+ students. He definitely makes it uneasy for non-Christians in the class, but he has a lot of good stories and does nice things for people through his class. You need ALL of the textbooks for the quizzes.

the most wonderful professor. not enough characters to describe how much i loved this class. he truly cares about you and it has been my favorite class throughout all of my schooling. he gives out his phone number for students to send prayer requests of whatever they need. he invites students to his house for holidays if they have nowhere to go.

TAKE DR. WHEELER! He presents evangelism so well! He truly cares for his students and is super intentional and personal even in big classes. The course and its material weren't my favorites but it was still a good class. Some of the work seemed force and like busy work.

Dr. Wheeler is a great evangelism professor. His lectures are more like thematic preaching, and not expository. The focus on "drive-by" evangelism is debatable, but at minimum it gets students in a mindset to share the gospel. Class is super easy, even if honors.

He is overall an amazing teacher, but make sure to get all of the associated books, since missing some could mean bad grades for every test (that happens weekly) If you take his course, get ready for a very enjoyable class that you will be excited to get to during the week.

Wheeler was exceptional. I highly recommend him. All quizzes and exams are open book & notes. During the final (which was the only in class exam) he allowed the whole class to ask each other questions. Really easy extra credit as well, just had to download two apps.

BEST PROFESSOR AT LU! Gives 20 ec points for downloading two apps. Just fill out the workbook and you physically can't fail. The papers are easy - pretty much graded on completion. This class isn't hard and he doesn't want it to be. Very straight forward test questions that can be looked up. Super inspirational and truly cares!

YOU HAVE TO GET THIS MAN. He is quite literally the best teacher I have ever had in my whole life! He is so inspirational, and his classes helped to change my mindset on the world and actually helped me to grow and strengthen my faith! I cannot suggest this guy stronger! A lot of people say that Dr. Wheeler is the best professor at Liberty; that is 100% true. The class is crazy easy, We have quizzes every week but they are open note/book. He is so funny and is so passionate about evangelism and service. There are 3 projects that you have to do outside of class, but he always tells us of opportunities to do them.

Dude literary pays a random guy $20 to have him go on a date with a girl in his class and it is insane. Dude should go on tour and teach these lectures to audience members who pay several hundred dollar tickets because if I would pay $500 for a front row seat just to see him give one of his lectures for 2 hours then I would.

Dr. Wheeler is an incredible and inspiring teacher. You can tell by his ratings that he is admired and beloved by almost every student who has taken his class (which is almost every student at Liberty).

This man truly cares and loves every single student. Within the first week, he will make sure everyone has his personal phone number in case we need him for anything at any time. I've personally called him over break when I needed help evangelizing my neighbor and dint know how to start. The class is very applicable and convicting, in a good way.
