He is a good young teacher. he enjoys of what he's teaching. he is not too easy but his class is not impossible to pass.

He is very knowledgable about History. It is rather crazy the amount that is stored up there! It is a lot of reading! I passed with an A, but had to work for it. Not many opportunities for extra credit. DO YOUR ESSAYS on your exams in order to pass! Also do your quizzes online! Carpe diem!

WOW! He is a wonderful Professor. I had him in the summer at 8am and he would always come in bright and smiling :) He is a very intellegent person and has a lot of history ready to burst out. I recommend READING your chapters, "big ugly", and writing essay. YOU MUST pay attention for bonus questions on exams. I recommend Professor White 100% 1301&2

Has had a great influence on my college education. He taught me the respect of working for my grade. I recommend him if you are not a lazy person. Your reading this and thinking "should I take him or not" I think you should give yourself a break from not learning anything and take White. Taking his class now and shoulda found this site before his class. Great guy but expects a lot from you. Your grade is based on quizes and tests. Have to read Loooong chapters just to keep up and other 2 books. I'm a B student and this class I hope to pass. ..

Mr. White is a great guy, but expects alot. Theres alot of reading you have to do, but that is expected in college. As long as you read your book you should be ok.

If you are read everything you are supposed to, you will do fine. Yes he does require a lot of reading, but welcome to the real world people. His lectures are great, very intersting. He is kind of geeky but most of the jokes he makes tend to be funny. Towards the end the class seems to drag and he will notice and sometimes let us out early but not all the time.

He is a very good professor. You have to read alot, but it's good info. Got an A and loved the class. Would take the class again and he gives extra credit!!! TAKE THIS CLASS you won't regret it.

He is a great professor, if you don't want to study then this class is not for you. He has chapter quizzes and 4 exams, gives extra credit and writing assignments are incorporated with the exams. I loved his class because I learned from him. Just read your textbook and you are fine. I got an A+ in this class and I was very pleased with his teaching

Alright took this professor in the summer and the work goes by fast. I passed the class with a B but history for his class in the summer is a bit hard. Good professor but dont take in summer only regular semester. Quizes are easy and test also.

Alright this class in fall semester was easy got an A even though I did not pass my test. But did good in my quizes, participated in class, and did the reading that was interesting. You do have to read the book thats the only way you get your information. Cool teacher over all. Like him I would recommend this class.

I took Prof. White online in the Spring and loved the class. It's a lot of work but Mr. White is very thorough and answers emails quickly. He gives you more than one way to contact him and offers extra credit. You must study and use the book but even online I really enjoyed the class overall. Would recommend anyday.

In his class now Summer Session. I must admit it is alot of work but I learned so much. If you are lazy do not attempt or better yet waste Prof White's time. He has a humerous sarcastic personality. Wished I could have taken his class in person. I imagine him as a Star Wars Geek.....

& 1302. If u're working full-time, and you copy from the internet for your assignments, then DO NOT TAKE THIS ONE. Took him for the fall (online), one assignment every week (w outside readings), and a quiz. Final and midterm, a final essay on an outside book. I can't say he's easy, but he's fair, if u're good, you'll get an A. Just work for it!

Ok For all the people that are saying Mr. white or Mr MOJO is what he calls himself is a good teacher WRONG!! If you have a full time Job do not take him. If you're taking this class just to satisfy state requirements, and history is not your element, then this is not the one for you. You have to earn your B, C, or A. This is a traditional class where you have to study, write, midterm, final, and final essays. Extra credit assignments too. Just be ready to be fully engaged and focused. no games

Taking this class over winter break. It's not over yet but I just want to say this professor is the WORST, most unreasonable, most insane professor I have ever had. I took AP US History in high school and got a 3 on the exam. 1 point from the cut off for credit at UT so I took this expecting it to be a breeze but the work load is unbelievable.

He is a very hard professor, BUT he is excellent at talking. Quiz EVERY week. Challenging, but if you are a History major, like me, he is a good overall teacher

I took this professor for 1301 last semester and i enjoyed his class. He is very passionate about history and goes to great lengths to engage students. We had a midterm and final exam, & quiz every week on chapter covered in class. The essay topic for exams were given in advance so you could pre-write then copy and paste on exam. Great professor!!

if you love history this is the class for you. be prepared to read and write a lot but it is college and whatever you major in will probably require you to do the same. I think he has a great sense of humor GEORGE WASHINGTON! AS for my grade I think I will pass. I have learned a lot great teacher!also I work full time,have a family,and go to class!

Great professor. A lot of work, but fair tests and grading. Protip: Search all of your writing assignments for "I" "We" "Our" etc.. any first person reference is automatic 10 points off your paper.

Professor White is very knowledgeable: he's creative and entertaining with the lessons too. You must put effort into what you want to get out of the class. If you pay attention and do all your readings, you will get that 'A'. I picked up a fountain of useful knowledge from this class. Take him.

This professor is more than fair and always reminds his students of due dates (he did in my class). He provides opportunities to get extra credit and surprisingly patient. I recommend the class to anyone because you will learn and it is a simple class. Also, read all of the reading assignments ahead of time! Don't wait until the week of due dates.

He probably is not the easiest teacher--but he is definitely an interesting teacher. He does not seem burned out and enjoys teaching Texas history. His quizzes are straight from the reading material, and his essay questions for his exams are up all semester for you to work on..Totally recommend!

Professor White is a down to earth teacher with a great sense of humor. In this class you will have to EARN your grade and that's something he stress in the beginning. This class is not for slackers! He will work with you on an individual basis to help you out. He provides a myriad of resources for you to gain a understanding of each chapter.

Mojo is a different type of teacher. He makes it interesting. The class is not easy, and there is a lot of writing. He tells you that you have to earn your grade. If you can't hang dont take the class. He's a cool guy. I've learned more about History in his class than in my 14 years of public school. I would recommend him, and I'm taking him again

The good news is that the papers you have to write in this class are really short. Not sure how I made B when I aced all the quizes made an 89 on the midterm and a 98 on the final.

A test over one or two chapters a week is hardly something to complain about. Sometimes an essay sneaks into the workload, but this is informed to you weeks if not months in advance! He's very easy going and nice to talk to. 100% recommended.

I ended the semester with an A. Just make sure you stay on top of reading. Readings that he says are required, is just that! Do your weekly quizzes, which are pretty easy if you read. The exams are written exams, you have plenty of time to read the exam questions ahead of time. Make sure you're prepared for each question!!

Anyone thinking of taking him please do! He has the most amazing lectures, is extremely clever, and is hilarious. HE DOES GIVE EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITIES! But be ready to read clearly it is History class so you should expect it but he still grades depending on how well you actually did on tests/exams. Make sure to participate and ask questions!

best history teacher I've had all my life. Ive learned more in his class than i ever have in my whole life in school. totally recommend him. he's organized and funny! Knows history very well and can teach and keep you interested in his lectures

Prof Mojo is the most organized teacher ever and clear when it comes to requirements, I don't like history and I actually enjoyed going to class and learned a LOT quick! The amount of work is reasonable if you keep up. Don't even think about plagiarizing he HATES it and will drop you. He is funny and intelligent!! I totally recommend him

If you don't pass his class that's because you didn't try. He gives extra credit like theres no tomorrow. Yes, he grades his papers and exams a little tougher but you should pass if you read. The quizzes are simple!!! Awesome teacher! Thats why I'm taking him again for HIST 1301

To be honest, Professor "Mojo" does define himself and is blunt. The man will fail you if you deserve to fail. I could have put in more effort into this class but got a 88 while I looked at the mean and found that many students got a 60 or lower. Grading scale is rough, expects "Great" work to get an A, a bit harsher then expected.

Participation and attendance for extra points.

For A/B+ must be willing to do the work. Assignments, plural, due every week. Explains what essay topic statements mean. Extra credit given. HATES plagiarism. Stated in syllabus: you have full time job 40+ and a family, not to take but I did anyway and passed B+. If I had done Xtra credit would've gotten an A . Taking again for HIST 1302

I took Prof. Mojo in Spring '17. He is a tough grader but is very fair. One of my favorite professors at HCC. I learned a lot in his class. Lectures are very entertaining. He enjoys music during lectures. Offers extra credit. Exams are online in Respondus. There are essays. DO NOT turn in work late!!! He treats you like an adult and I enjoyed that.

I had never enjoyed history before taking a class from this professor. He does a great job of making the class interesting for everyone, even those who don't really care about history. This was a great class, and Professor White made it incredibly interesting. 10/10, would take again.

I don't know why he got that bad rate. I took his 2 history classes because of my friend's recommendation. Each quiz and paragraph every week, but it's easy to get a 100. Using lockdown browser to take 2 exams at home. The final is in class. His lecture is interesting. Easy grading.

Professor White was one of my favorite professors I've ever had. His lectures were interesting and always covered the assigned reading. His course is somewhat difficult, but if you actually put in the expected effort, you'll do well. Not an impossible class, but requires work. I enjoyed his lectures and the way he made class interactive.

What separates this guy from other professors is that he actually knows how to lecture like a good professor. If you are usually disengaged by history lectures, Professor White will most likely suit your needs. Also, you are going to have to read a lot. To preempt any crazy last-second book readings, I recommend listening to the audiobook.

Took him for both 1302 & 1301. Loved his classes both time. The lectures are very interesting and I actually learned so much. The course work isnt necessarily difficult but it isnt an easy A class. If you take pride in your work, you should be alright. His papers have clear grading criteria, and in my experience, easy if you follow instructions

This is a very essay based course with a couple a quizzes every two weeks, he gives good feedback and as long as you participate you should be fine. I accidentally turned in the wrong thing for my research paper and instead of failing me he sent me an email and I ended up with a 90 on it only because it was late. He is a hard but fair teacher.

Professor White's HIST1301 class is challenging but rewarding. The lectures are engaging, and the coursework requires diligent reading and research. unstuck study was a helpful study tool alongside the textbook. Not an easy A, but worth the effort.
