Terrible, just terrible. Rude comments and put-downs make this a very uninviting environment. She makes for a hostile atmosphere with her attitude. She loads you up with assignments, then keeps pushing back the due dates. AVOID!

Rude professor who projects her misery onto others. Has greta knowledge in her subject matter ,but doesn't share it.

We never received ONE grade throughout the semester-so we never had ANY idea where we stood-Our grades were not posted untill a MONTH after the semester ended! I am soooo glad I am not a senior and my graduation didn't depend on this grade! DON'T TAKE!!!

David with an "A" is very terrible. She is unorganized, and very unclear. she would talk about other things and PEOPLE in the classroom and got nothing done. We only had girls in the class and I think that's why she liked us...

This woman has something majorly wrong with her.complains about how much work she has to do, tolls she has to pay...yells at us in her nasty voice like we did what she didn't want us to do before we even did it.Very negative.left class once cuz I couldn't take her anymore. what is up w/ evil smile?

Davida likes to battle with me. I held back for the first half of the semester (when she was bringing in doughnuts)but now I let her have it. She asked me if English was my second language!! Insulting much? nobody should have to sit through her class. Get the hint lady: RETIRE you have EXPIRED!!!!

Dr. Schuman (make sure you say "doctor" or else!), is a straight miserable woman. She does nothing other than harass young pretty girls who she wished she looked like. DON'T EVER TAKE HER IF YOU WANT TO BE SANE!!!! She "will" get to you!

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR...she is very mean. She goes out of her way to pry into ppl's personal lives - she calls students on their cell phones! Being in this class was THE WORST EXPERIENCE in my entire education experience. She judges everyone on the way they look. This professor is definitely one of the meanest ppl I have ever met!!

She is insane! She yells all through the class! If you are sick she calls you and yells at you on your cell phone! She is mean and nasty! We have assigned seats!! I feel like I'm back in elementary school waiting to be sent to the principals office.

I am a grown adult and I felt like I was treated like a 5 year old. In all my college days including my doctrine she has one my vote for the worst, meaniest, and unhelpfull teacher I have ever met. Yelling and being mean doesn't work lady get a grip!

HORRIBLE!talks to her students like they are 5yrs old,always yelling,belittles them!so self-conscious,thinks everyone is talking about her!very unclear,does not know what she is doing!I didnt get anything from the class.whats up with the assigned seats?!she left a nasty message on my cell bc i didnt come to class!get a life!shes worriedboutratings!

It seems that Dr. Schuman is ready to retire. I did not learn any new material in this class and I dreaded going to it. She is very unclear in her directions and spends a more time complaining rather than teaching new material. If at all possible avoid taking her because if you do it is clearly a waste of your tution.

Dr. Schuman needs to find something else to do...perhaps schedule an appointment with a shrink. Very emotionally unstable...my heart bleeds for every young child who had ever had the misfortune of this woman as an elementary teacher. Go to class...don't make eye contact...follow the models she gives EXACTLY...and you'll survive...

Horrible!!! She only likes to hear herself talk. Rambles on about her own life which is boring and dull. Always late to class yet makes you stay later. If you can avoid taking her I highly reccomend you do so.

Comments are true. She is extremely bipolar. She snaps, she's rude, she doesn't teach well. But if you do the work, you'll be fine. She's crazy about attendance so make sure you go to class. She won't let you speak, she interrupts and if she doesn't like your answers she's sarcastic and rude!

RUN AWAY

Of all of the classes I've taken - kindergarten through grad school - this was the worst experience I ever had. I can't believe someone like this would even want to be a teacher to begin with. STAY AWAY: anything involving Prof. Schuman will be a complete disaster.

I dont even now where to begin with this woman. She has been promising to give us a paper for OVER a week. She is rude and yells at you when you ask questions. She treats you like children. She rambles on the first half hour about stuff that has nothing to do with class. If you get up to use the bathroom she askes you where are you going LEAVE NOW!

This woman is a walking disaster, and has no business being in any position of responsibility. Disrespectful to the class, didn't teach anything, and was grossly unprofessional in what she said and the way in which she said it. Kean should have fired her years ago. She is a perfect example of why tenure should be abolished.

I don't think I can write anything that hasn't already been written. All of the negative comments here are TRUE. She has to be the worst teacher ever. What is up w/ criticizing people's appearances?!?!?! Hopefully she retires soon, so no one else is as miserable as I was in this awful class.

Schuman is the worst professor I have ever experienced at Kean. She was nasty, rude and unclear. She yelled at me for being 5 min late because there was no parking and she told me I needed to leave at 6am to get to a 11am class. DON'T TAKE HER CLASS. I usually give teachers the benefit of the doubt, but she is not worth it! If you do, God speed!

The worst professor I have taken at Kean. I usually give professors the benefit of the doubt but i can't do this with her. She is rude, unorganized, overly critical and treats us like we really are in K-5. She knows her stuff i won't take that away from her but i think she hates her job cause she gives that off every time she walks into class.

I had Dr. Schuman in 2002, and have never forgotten her. She berated me in front of the whole class- told me I would "never make it in this field." Since then, I've been teacher of the year, earned an M.A., and have a 4.0 in an EdD program. This was the worst experience I had in college, and I'm surprised she is still teaching. She is a very mean, nasty, rude, mattet-of-fact person who degrades her students on a regular basis. She is overly critical and very controlling about her class. She is not helpful at all and she makes people feel stupid. She needs to be fired immediately. Don't take her class !

Don't do it to yourself. She treats everyone like little kids and talks down to all of us. Worst decision ever. So unorganized, loses everyone's papers, throws a fit if you're even 5 mins late for class, rude, regretted taking the class the first day. As long as you do the work, do good on tests, etc you'll do fine.

Hard grader, attendance is key, doesnt excuse any absences.

She's ok. There were times that she was very rude to people in my class as well as other professors in the building. I definitely learned more about her life and how she had beef with current professors instead of my course. I had to guess on everything on the accuplacer at the end of the semester. I was one of the few who passed.
