She is able to keep the material real and made learning the material interesting.

I had her for Intro to hospitality and loved her as a teacher. In 110, the material is a bit more confusing but she is available to go over the material to help clarify what you don't understand.

Prof. Allen was great. She didn't grade harsh at all and tries to make it as painless as possible. She teaches from experience more than the book, but still relates it to the book. She is very entertaining to listen to and I would take another class with her in a heart beat. Only downfall is tat she is often very vague about guidelines and rubric.

Best professor I have ever had, she makes learner fun and really relates the subject to our culinary careers. Best thing to every happen to the business section of the hospitality department.

If you're going to take any science classes for the Hospitality Degrees at Sinclair, Professor Dawn Allen is perfect! She is funny and you learn a lot from her if you pay attention and do your work. She gives the best lectures and you just have to be there to understand. She is beloved by most of her students that have taken her classes.

The most wonderful professor, lady, and friend you could ever make. she is extremely intelligent, talented, and easy on the eyes. She keeps class entertaining. Her only fault is that she is toooooooooooo lenient on students , making her grading slow and last minute. I and many others truly love her and would take any class she teaches.

Has a great sense of humor, really cares for her students. She knows what she is talking about and loves to help in any way. Although if you need to find her outside of class, it will be very hard.

This class is all about studying! The main part of this course is to pass the exam and the book is used every single class. I had this class for half a semester which is why studying is heavy and you will go through the entire book. Prof. Allen is absolutely amazing and hilarious. I loved going to her class. She has one of the best personalities :)

This lady cares about you. If you are willing to work she will help you all she can. She is smart and sweet. The class is not easy but she will do all she can if you are willing to work.

Just passed the final. She worked with me everyday to study and signed into ZOOM on weekends just to help me. She is so funny. You will love her. This class is hard and she made it understandable.

Make sure to use the REMIND app. She will text you back pretty quick if she is not in class and that is much faster than email. Don't go alone in this class. You need to keep in contact with her if you are confused she will help but this is very hard on your own. This online class is self paced and does not meet.

She is smart, funny and helpful. You don't want the other guy. He is not.

You better be ready to memorize a ton of stuff. She reviews a lot and tries to help you but if you don't come to class and if you dont read you won't pass the class. She is great.

This was to be at the college but we were moved to ZOOM because of the pandemic. Prof Dawn did the BEST of all the HMT prof about giving her all in the ZOOM class. I wish I had her in the classroom but she was amazing in ZOOM.

You need to take Professor Dawn for everything. I have never seen so much patience in all my life. She helped me for two hours straight and I was only one of many students she worked with. There were 5 different people speaking 5 different languages and she worked with each one. It was a crazy and she is amazing.

Our class had so many needs. Prof Allen was SO funny and caring to everyone. There was a girl that was a jerk and by the end of the class that girl not only passed but she actually started to show respect to others. Prof Allen held study groups and she reviewed so many times. This class is hard but if you try, Miss Allen will work with you.

I like the fact she knows the subject. She is a wealth of knowledge. Sometimes she mothers us a bit but that is fine. She doesn't want anyone slipping through the cracks. Half the people in the class need it. I will say this, she stays after class more than any professor I have ever seen. You can tell she likes being a teacher.

This class is to be a supervisor, so she treats it like a job. Don't be late and don't be absent. You hire people, fire people, complete schedules and all you would do at work. Role played a lot. Very hands on and she make awkward conversations like harassment and discrimination funny and relatable.
