She makes learning the material very easy, fun, and engaging. She is also an actual licensed therapist so she has good insights. She is super chill, easy going, and helpful. Definitely show up to class for attendance and participation points. Take her class for sure!!!!

This teacher is the sweetest thing, she is very smart and knows her material. Lectures are a bit repetitive and long, sometimes boring. She expects students to be in class and on time, sometimes we will do some interactive exercises. Tests are without honorlock and you get good credit just for showing up to class.

Dr. Anchel is a gem and does what she does well. A basic survey of her students will let anyone know what kind of professor and person she is, and her classes fill up for a reason. Though psychology is a popular major, most students from my intro class follow suit and directly take another semester with her. I do not think this is a coincidence.

Her class was one of the most meaningful experiences of my college journey. She truly cares about her students in a way that most professors don't. You can always feel it!

Dr. Anchel is very thoughtful, understanding, and creates a positive environment for meaningful engagement with the material. The class isn't too difficult which is a compliment to her great teaching. The emphasis is more on the experience of learning rather than stressing about passing which made the class enjoyable to attend. Take her!

My most unique class so far. Dr. D made topics super relatable and is an amazing actor. really funny and engaging and totally kept my attention. i wanted to come to class and participate because she makes sure there is student interaction and you feel like you matter. she is very understanding, patient, knows a lot, and cares about her students.

Dr. Anchel is my favorite professor at Valencia. You can see how much thought and care goes into organizing her canvas page and all her class activities. I felt motivated to participate (we grade our own participation). She gives you all the tools you need to be successful in her class and in life. Dedicated, supports, and respects her students.

Amazing! Her style of teaching makes it easy to grasp the concepts. Prof. Anchel is also a therapist so she provides good real life examples for topics. Graded on participation points weekly which will effect your grade over time if you don't participate at least a couple of times in class. Tests are taken at home which is a good plus.

She answers every question with patience and clarity, creating a space where learning feels both comfortable and inspiring. Class was always calm, welcoming, and filled with positive energy. Dr Anchel creates engaging lessons and that she does not only want you to do good on the test but she wants you to succeed as a person. her energy and clear teaching style kept me motivated to learn. you grade your participation so i engaged more and that made class fun. she made psychology come alive so you actually look forward to class.

Prof Anchel really cares about her students and her teaching style is amazing! Her class is very structured and easy to follow. Shes a therapist, gives first hand examples, is passionate and clearly knows what shes teaching. having to self evaluate participation is really cool and made me want to talk because I felt my words were equally important.

I LOVE Dr. Dawn!! She is actually the Best Professor ever. She makes it so clear how much she cares about her students, she explains everything, makes it so easy to ask questions, does demonstrations to help students remember things, and offers extra credit. She's funny, engaging, organized and dedicated, by far the best professor I have ever had.

I liked all her lectures! She was very engaging, and it's difficult to fail her class. There's a reason she has a 4.9 after all. She has participation points (easy to earn by participating in class activities or asking questions) and attendance points. The way she grades is very simple: it's by points, so all assignments weigh the same.

Dr Dawn truly cares about her students and what she teaches. She explains material in a clear, engaging way that makes you actually want to come to class and share what you learn. It's not an easy A, but it feels easy bc you truly understand the material. She makes students feel valued, seen, heard, and never judged. She literally changed my life!

Dr. Anchel clearly cares about teaching you. Her canvas is thoughtfully done and work is purposeful not busywork. It's cool you grade your participation so it made me want to raise my hand and I learned so much since class was interactive. She's always there for you and answers all questions. Loved her. Can't wait for DEP 2004 to have her again!
