(video) AWFUL! SLOW 2 grade stuff. I had my final done b4 I knew what my midterm grade was. Doesn't answer emails. This class was an easy paycheck 4 this chick. I tell her videos are missing, oh well... I do what I can and a month later, she addresses the issue. Too late for me.

DO NOT TAKE HER INTERNET CLASS!! Slow to grade and answer emails, will NOT accept anything late, even 30 seconds late. A LOT of work, prepare to have the equivelant of 5 page paper and a TEST every week. I'm not learning ANYTHING. I would NOT recommend her internet class at all. NOT an easy elective!!! WORST class ever!

This is one of the WORST classes i have had...if you love drama take it! if you want to learn DONT!!! All tests are take home but due dates are switched consistentley. she takes forever to respond to emails!

HORRIBLE!! Honestly the worst teacher and class I have had. Did not learn anything and she was rude and lazy. Do NOT take her!!

AVOID.Rude.She was completely disorganized. She forgot which quizzes she assigned and sometimes gave the wrong one.It was hard keeping track of all her assignments (busywork) and she couldn't remember half the time either. She didn't teach any class lessons, just pushed her own agenda. So the only way to prepare for the quizzes is to read the book.

I would not recommend taking this instructor for an online course. Way too many assignments and a test every week. If you have a problem with completing assignments on time you can forget it because late assignments and quizzes are not accepted. I think she is too difficult for no reason. Difficult but never rude.

Very hard to understand, gives a test or quiz without telling you what to read first. doesnt' know what quiz to give. etc.

Took her online course, and it was horrible. One would think that there would be come flexibility if you missed one assignment, but no way. She lost half of the assignments I turned it. You can't check to see what questions you missed on tests. To much time spent for a online course. Not helpful at all! Responds to emails in 5 days.

Horrible teacher. She acted like a child and was completely disorganized. I would never recommend her to anyone.

DO NOT TAKE HER ONLINE CLASS!!She may be better in the classroom(I'm not sure) but not online.It took 19 days for her to respond to an email.Usually it takes atleast a week.She grades very hard for a teacher that is not responsible and very disorganized.In order to be a hard teacher and expect people to be responsible she needs to be.

This was the most awful teacher that I have EVER had. Does not return e-mails. Grades always take soooo long to complete. You get alot of "excuses" from her but should you need something, your S.O.L. Not very organzed. This is by far Sinclair Community Colleges dumbest teacher.

Please do not take this instructor for anything. I wouldn't let her teach my dog how to roll over.

I highly suggest taking another professor for any Sociology class at Sinclair. Seriously poor at communicating with class. Grading is very unrealistic.

How can someone give less than 24 hrs notice on test and quizes? Well she does! It takes more than a week for her to get back to you on emails. Test are take home (thank god) and quizes are over nothing that she says they are over. Not organized at all. Something should be done about this teacher. DON'T TAKE HER!!!

I have all A's, EXCEPT FOR THIS CLASS. She does NOT answer emails. She simply repeats what is in the syllabus. She does not give any feedback whatsoever. Several students in my class have gotten 2/10 or 3/10 on projects. AVOID TAKING HER AT ALL COSTS!!!!

expectations of her students are outrageous.assignments due every day rather than on sundays like all the other teachers.cant even read the chapters because as soon as you finish a quiz you have an assignment due the next day. horrible communication and very disorganized. sends emails stating one thing, but then the gradebook says another.DONT TAKE

DO NOT TAKE ON-LINE COURSE! Ridiculous amount of work. Expect an impossible quiz, long writing assignment, and a dumb discussion forum posting every week. It's impossible to receive a 100% on any of her assignments. Doesn't respond to e-mails. Has office hours, but is never at her office during those hours. Had all A's, except for her class.

Quarter started with teacher ordering wrong book for the class. After quarter started, she forced students to return book for an older edition which was unavailable until after first week. She refused to change the deadline even though she missed almost all of her deadlines. She gave me an A on my term paper but failed me for the class.

This instructor is terribly disorganized. Spends way too much time talking about personal matters. Try to avoid taking her classes if you are older students, her ignorance and lack of knowledge will frustrate you terribly. She does not get grades back in a timely manner. The sociology departmant needs to re-evaluate her. Poor instructor abilities.

Please stay away from this professor. She's not at all helpful. She doesn't grade things on time, so you basically wonder if you're failing all quarter. She doesn't respond in a timely manner...All in all, just don't take this course online unless you want to stress yourself out.

Hard online that is. I don't know about in class students...but online was stressful. Would not recommend this professor.

She does not keep the grade book up to date. If you email her, do not expect an email back. She is not helpful at all when asked questions. When she does respond to emails, you get a hint of an attitude in the email. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! It seems like she sets people up for failure. HORRIBLE TEACHER!

Worst professor ever. Does not respond to email, if she does shes mad that you sent an email. Not clear on assingments. To much work for the credit. Biology was easier than this class. Would not reccommend to anyone. Avoid her. Does not grade assingments in a timely manner. Have to wait until final grades are submitted to know how you are doing.

I wish I would have read the comments on here about this class before I took it. Everything is true about this professor. I would not recommend her.

AVOID HER AT ALL COSTS! I took the online course from her and it was a test every week and a 3 pg paper due every night! It was not required to use scholarly sources in our work however without time consuming HOURS spent on getting those sources I would not get more than 4 or 5/10 points per assignment. WAY TO MUCH WORK FOR WAY TOO LITTLE POINTS!

The worst online class I have ever taken. Her instructions are so unclear, and when you have a question she never responds. She grades you harshly that aren't worth much and take forever to complete. Do your self a favor, save your frustration and never have her as a teacher.

I feel like I’m paying the teacher to teach us nothing but failure!!!! Dawn Hall is a horible teacher! Everything she teaches she relates back to her life. Never does notes, or grades reasonably,she never gives her office hours, and her assignments and exams are like reading a forign launguage!

This teacher has so many bad qualities, I lost count. She is the most disorganized teacher I have ever had. She didn't know the information. She didn't teach us. All of the information I got was from videos. Every assignment was pointless busy work. She was even late to class when students were on time. Yes, the class was easy, but a waste of money

She is worthless. She gave us assignments, with no explanation, and when we would ask for help, she didnt know the answers her self. We had to write a paper in Chicago style, and she made us look it up online, because she didnt know how to do it. She never taught us, instead only giving us pointless assignments. She was very unorganized and late.

She might as well stay home and I'll just send her the check for what she has done as far as any actual "teaching" is concerned. Could have been better spent on feeding the homeless instead of feeding her bank account....

Thought I was going to Harvard/graduate school after reading her syllabus & expectations!YET She doesn't follow her own guidelines she sets for the class & herself. My class started 6/17/13. I have yet to receive one graded paper- I don't know how I am doing & her communication is NULL!WOW! Wish I would have known about this site prior. AVOID THIS!

She is not organized at all and I cannot believe why. She never lectures or guides us. She just outright confuses me. She keeps changing deadlines on assignments and expects you to turn it in at the right time without saying, "blah is due at the end of class" This might sound irrisponible to me but I've never had a teacher that didnt remind me.

Unorganized, Narcissistic lectures, Generalizations, Constant irrelevance, Take home Exams that are worded evasively, uneducated on her own subject matter. This woman is a huge disappointment, if that sounds outlandish then you need to experience her. Good luck.

Simply put: terrible. She had deadlines for getting grades back to us- never met her own deadline, shes 5 weeks behind on my grades. Doesn't respond to emails. Instructions are contradictory. Her opinions are basis for grading, not factual info. Literally couldn't tell you one thing I've learned,terrible. She made it harder than it really is

Being new to online classes this was an eye opener!My advisor is the only reason I will try again.(I promise you it was that bad!)Had to ask for grades,different feedback on every paper, not sure what I was supposed to be doing. When I asked quesitons I would get one liners no help what so ever! Want to learn? Choose another instructor

Most reviews are really positive or really negative but honestly there's no in between with this professor. She seems nice in her e-mails but I can't help dreading her class. I came in with a positive attitude and found myself hating this class. Long assignments and e-lessons, doesn't give helpful feedback, late on grades, most boring class ever :(

This was the worst teacher I have ever had. It's like as soon as she set the syllabus she ignored us as students. I never once received an email response back from her during the course and she waited until the semester was over to post our grades to the grade book. I now have to take this course over again! DO NOT TAKE HER!!

Would not recommend taking a SOC class with her. She does not enter grades, the few that she has put in were graded very tough and she never responds to emails. makes this class unenjoyable and harder than it should be. Stay away if you want to learn and get a good grade

As of last day of semester, about 11 assignment were not graded. She set a schedule of when things would be graded and returned and never followed it. Assignments are really detailed oriented with max of 10 pts. Would not take her again. Hoping to get a decent grade to keep DL status but who knows since she doesn't grade! Terrible!!

Horrible, horrible, horrible. The semester is over and she has graded only a few assignments. Never sticks to the promises she makes, doesn't respond to emails. Grades tough on certain things. Do not take this class with her.

Not specific with due dates on papers and assignments, but never responds to emails with our questions. VERY disorganized and not great for a CCP student classes.

Dawn Hall was my professor this past spring. I was absent one day that we had a quiz, I took the absentee quiz online the same day. I made her aware of this multiple times in class, emailed, AND texted her about it and she still has it in as a zero, for my final grade, which is weighing down my grade. Very disorganized.

I'm resentful for having to pay for this class, since I basically taught myself. Prof. Hall was pretty non-existent. By the last week of class, we still had the majority of our assignments ungraded & virtually no feedback. She was very disorganized. Work itself wasn't overly complicated, but there was WAY too much written work. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Prof. Hall assigns a boatload of homework every week. Articles, links, and readings she assigns have nothing to do with the weekly assignments. Make it make sense. She also has only graded one thing and we are on week seven. So I have no idea how I am doing in the class, but I imagine it's not good considering I am teaching myself everything.

My final grade shows that she put 0's in for assignments i did do on time and correctly. She was very disorganized and all over the place. SOOO many links and papers and small dumb assignments. That class was a headache and brought my GPA down. Should have dropped the class when everyone else did.

I still have no idea what my grade in that class is because none of my stuff past week 9 is graded. The semester is quite literally over.

dawn hall is one of the worst professors i have ever had. she gets off topic so fast, completely disregards the topics we are discussing, and uses unnecessary and inappropriate language. additionally, she speaks heavily about her political views and her personal life. i don't feel like that's something to be sharing with students.
