If you are not a psyc. major but still need a psyc course or two for whatever reason... take Strongin! She is an awesome Prof. and you will come away understanding more than you thought you could.

An EXCELLENT teacher! She makes an effort to help you understand and gives you study guides for all the tests. She puts effort into her lectures and makes them really interesting. If you take this course, take it with her!

She will meet and answer any of your questions, is fun to listen to, and has unbelievably interesting lectures. She is very passionate about her work, and will help promote the success of anyone willing to put in the time and effort.

She makes the statistics easy to understand, and is great at finding life-applicable examples to help clarify. Her tests cover only things that have been specifically mentioned in class.

her lectures are not visually stimulating but she is animated and passionate, tries not to go over students heads and willingly repeats herself when she gets confusing. Which she will. Be ready to take 3-4 pages of notes per hour. she's fun.

Fascinating and applicable

Wow! No teacher like her. A real inspiration to any student who wants to learn. Expects alot out of her students but explains EVERYTHING and really cares if the students understand the material. Does not just teach to the test but teaches to life.

She is hilarious. I definitely enjoy going to her class. She doesn't give out any homework. You NEVER need the text book so do NOT buy one. The tests are on the notes taken in class so it is madatory to get everything down. Other than that it is a relatively easy class.

All questions are "good questions." To answer, she'll often ask you questions about things you already know and make you feel smart when you put the pieces together to come up with the correct answer. She'll even work with you one-on-one if desired.

Honestly the best professor at CSUS I have taken. The class was not easy but I learned the material, applied myself and received an A. She is ALWAYS willing to help a struggling student and is down right funny, maybe a little crazy, and defiantly knowledgeable.

I thought I was going to hate her the first week but wound up really liking her. She's a little out there and literally tells you to "remove your gravity boots." Has you draw and color a lot (no seriously). Cool lady, cool class. Not easy though, prepare for a fair amount of study time.

Dr. Strongin is probably one of the best teachers anyone could ask for. She made my first semester so awesome. She always is silly and uses students for dimistration to make sure we get it. She is the person who made me decided to do psychology because she makes it so interesting.

Never have I learned so much in a 3 month period. What a great experience...everybody should be required to have her at least once while at school...your life will be better for it.

This class was extremely hard for me. You have to practically memorized everything in the lecture notes to earn an A or B on test. NO multiple choice! All tests consist of several short/long essay. Learned a lot in class. Definately one of the best teacher, she really knows her stuff. Take her if you care more about learning and less about grade.

Very interesting,& you learn a lot BUT very challenging class. Grade is based on 4 exams, ALL essay questions. Lectures on overhead projector & she makes mistakes. The syllabus said we would have quizzes but we did NOT. The prereq's are ONLY Psyc 2010 & 2020 but if you have NOT taken Psyc 3100 or Psyc 2010 with her, you WILL struggle. Good luck!

Great Professor. Exams are easy if you take a little bit of time to study before the exam. If she ever throws a curveball at you in a exam, she will dismiss that question and either give everyone that free point or not count that question when exams are handed back. She is a delight!

I took Intro to Psych with Dr Strongin and she was amazing since the first day of class. She doesn't use powerpoint lectures she interacts and takes notes with the class and she is hilarious and makes the information easy to understand. Her tests follow the study guide and the study guide follows all the notes she gives in class. Love her.

Me and my friend took this class, just to fill up credits for full-time. We got so lucky. She is so funny, and you DO NOT HAVE A TEXTBOOK. She makes all her exams from the notes and gives study-guides, and SONA for extra credit. She is very social with the class and helpful, and cooperates and gets along with students. No Roll. The test are based on the lectures. It is almost word for word from the lectures. Sh gives a lot of real life examples that make it easy to understand and makes the concept stick. She has a lot of real life experience.

I took her class in the Spring 2016 semester but I still remember how great of a professor she is. Her lectures are hilarious and its actually quite hard to not pay attentionthats just how interesting they are. She has some tests, some quizzes, and all are based off of her lectures, so be sure to attend class, pay attention, and take good notes!

This was her first time doing this course online. Her exams were easy and always had fun lectures. The exams were sometimes a little different from what she talked about in her lectures and the study guides. Probably wouldn't take this professor again since the exams and lectures didn't match up, which made the exams a bit more difficult.

Go into the class prepared to work very hard for a short amount of time ad you will do well. 3 exams worth 100 points each. she gives you over two days to finish them and if you take your time you will pass! Your semester grade is based upon 4-5 test but it is super easy! There is no textbook so she gives detailed notes of exactly what she wants answered on the test and even throughout the test if she realizes she had not covered a matter she will give you the answer. This is a very complex course that can go in depth about the brain and functions, so you really need to study for that A, but prof Strongin is simply amazing & a genius in her field! Your grade is based off 4 exams and 9 quizes. Each exam is worth 30 points and each quiz 5 and she doesnt drop the lowest test or quiz score. She did give a decent amount of extra credit I wanna saw like a total of like 10. She makes her exams and quizzes they are not on quizlet. Each exam covers like 1 hr and 30 minutes of lecture videos.

Great teacher! I took her online class. She has amazing lectures. Study and take notes for this class. As long as you do that you should be able to pass. Grade is based on four exams and nine quizzes. Be sure to check on blackboard or on the calendar the date of when tests are to be taken. Quizzes last 30 minutes. Exams last an hour and a half.

10 out of 10. I would totally recommend this professor. This has to be the best class that I have taken thus far. Her lectures are extremely interesting and she's always throwing in a joke or 2. 4 exams (straight from her lectures), & a few quizzes, that all, nothing more or less. And you don't need to buy a textbook, what else could you ask for??

She was a great professor. All you do is take notes online. She was very good at explaining things through her power point notes. For every lecture there is a 5 question quiz which is super easy. Then after every 2 lectures you take a 30 question test on them.

Professor Strongin was amazing. I just took her for the summer and she was great. Her lectures are detailed and specific. Everything that you need is on BB. Her tests are based on the notes and videos that you watch. I definitely recommend her. She's also funny and answers any questions asked as quickly as possible. She's an awesome professor!!

I am currently taking her during COVID-19 (online). Her class has been really easy for me. You have 4 exams and about 6 to 8 quizzes (can't remember). Exams and quizzes are based off the lecture. Provides great examples during lecture, gives extra credit if you choose to provide your own example of the topic being taught. SHE IS THERE FOR YOU!

Shes very enthusiastic and loves what she is doing. This class was fun and her exams arent tough but they arent easy either. Make sure to pay attention, no textbook, easily reachable, and her content is A1.

I really enjoyed PSYC 2010. The material is really interesting. She is not the best with emails. Doesn't always respond; cancels quizzes and exams without letting students know. Overall, she isn't too bad. It's a good class to take.

The class was fully online, there were no class meetings. There was no book so you rely on lectures. No homework or assignments all semester. You rely a lot on the professor to post lectures so at times the quizzes and exams were very hard.

Super super funny. Her classes had no zoom--no attendance required. Every lecture was online on videos. NO HOMEWORK. 4 exams. NO FINAL. Loved her class.

I really enjoyed this class, the professor is so sweet and understanding. It's really easy to get an A in this class if you just take notes on the lectures she posts. Her lectures are very interesting and her quizzes are not hard if you watched the lectures. Would definitely take this class again if I could.

Her class was extremely easy. She posted lectures on canvas and we could go through them whenever we had the chance. The only graded assignments were the quizzes and tests we took. The quizzes had about 5 questions and the tests had about 30 questions. All of the questions were pretty straightforward if you listened to her lectures.

I have taken Professor Strongin for 2 classes now and I absolutely love her lectures! They are long yes, but she gives you PLENTY of time to watch them and everything on the exams is based off of those lectures. She gives great feedback on how to improve on your exams, and helpful study guides as well. She is a great professor, one of the best.

By far one of the easiest classes I've taken. She gives out lectures that are somewhat long but you have a whole month to go over it. For exams just make sure you study because they are not multiple choice and only consist of 5 q's. She is super sweet!

Even though this was an online class, she does a great job with her lectures and makes them genuinely interesting. You can tell she's a great person who really likes being a professor. I'm interested in psychology now!

such an easy class and the way she explains everything is fun and exciting. i got a D in the class because i forgot about the last exam. i had a B in the class originally so don't forget exam dates because its online and theres no redoing it!!! besides that it was super easy. you watch videos, take notes and then quizzes, all online

Dr. Strongin was a great teacher, I took this 3 week course. She had 1 module 3 quizzes and 1 exam. If you watch the lecture, and read the content, you should be ok. Her quizzes are short essay style quizzes and tests. She points out what she will ask on tests or quizzes in the lectures so PAY ATTENTION. No book required it's all based on her lx.

This class was easy, laid back, all the exam/quiz questions are based off lecture. take notes and you'll do good. Lectures were so interesting and fun in my opinion, prof was really good presenter. no textbook or anything. This class made me realize I do want to continue to pursue psychology !!! take this class it is easy !!

I had her online and she was a very great and easy teacher. You could tell she cared about psychology a lot which is pretty rare nowadays. Her tests and quizzes were always very easy and straightforward. Great teacher and 10/10 would recommend.

It is the easiest class I have ever taken. It only consist of 5 quizzes and 4 exams. All of the answers were provided on the lectures. She drops your lowest quiz grade at the end of the semester. I probably only spent like 30 minutes each week on this class. It is an easy A as long as you do the quizzes and exams.

Professor Strongin's PSYC2010 class is a breeze. The lectures are engaging, and with a little note-taking, the easy quizzes and exams are a breeze. unstuck study was a lifesaver for study prep too. Highly recommend this class!

Dr. Strongin's lectures were always so engaging and interesting, they were never boring. Every quiz and exam is based off her lectures, so take some good notes and you'll get that easy A.

Her class is amazing but it was not easy to pass. Be prepared to watch lectures as well as take exams. She is a very rough grader on the exams but she does provide good feedback! Overall, this class was amazing and i recommend taking only if you're up for a challenge!

It was very fascinating learning about why we work the way our human minds think. This class is highly recommended.
