DAWNE CLARKE is the kind of prof that all profs should emulate. she reaches you on a level where she makes you feel comfortable and is down to your level. she is great to talk to and will always schedule time with you. she really makes you interested!!!!

Had her for methods. Great prof. Learned lots. She was very helpful and drew on practical experience to facilitate learning. Presents a good knowledge of info and goes out of her way to help her students. she even baked cookies for last day of class.

Dawne Clarke is a wonderful professor but she expects a lot of work. She was a hard marker, but if you get an A you truly earned it. She is a little too opinionated and she should really get a babysitter. Power to her for being a grammar-nazi!

Class was always a great time, and Dawne was always willing to help you out. If you ever get the chance to take a class with this lady, DO IT! this is a prof that I will never forget, and always look up to. She is a strong, great woman.

The first day of class she scared the heck out of me. But on the second day of class she was laughing and wondering why no one had dropped the class after her performance the previous class. She is such a good prof...except I think I know more about her kids then Research methods in criminology!!!

Prof Clarke is scary for the first class but after that its all good. There is alot of reading and work involved but she will definitely take the time to help you out with anything you do not understand. She's awesome and pretty funny. Her class was entertaining anyways.

She was very scary at first, but as things got going, she was very interesting. A very hard essay marker. Tends to talk about home a bit too much though.

Oh My God, what a great prof is all I have to say. I love that I am excited to go to her class everyday! She is so entertaining, and interesting. P.S. Her poor kids would be sooo embarassed if they knew some of the stories she told! Good times, but you have to work hard for your A's!

Professor Clarke is by far my favourite professor. I, like many, was intimidated for the first few classes but sticking with her was the best decision I have ever made. She is incredibly intelligent and presents the material very clearly. I cant wait to take more of her classes!

Clarke is an amazing teacher, even though to begin with I wasn't very interested in Criminology she made her classes not only informative but interesting. I would recommend her to everyone.

She was a great prof! Will definitely take another class with her. She will try to scare you in the beginning but is harmless. Just do the work and answer the questions. You will get a good mark.

I have officially changed my mind about Dawne. I used to dislike her as a prof, but I have been converted. I had her for a seminar and she was unbelieveable! Great text, great discussions and a great chance to learn something. Take her ethnography class if you can, it may sound boring but TRUST ME, it's not. Thanks Dawne!!

Dawne Clarke is the prof that will make you want to come to class. She wont bore you to death. She will push you and make you work hard. But she wants you to realize you potential, and she is willing to help all of her student achieve their goals. She is awesome. Take her as much as you can!! I definitely have! :D

I had Dawn for Advanced Research Methods, and she was amazing. Take whatever class you can from her, and be prepared for some good laughs and fun during her lectures.

Dawne is the bomb! I had her last year for Intro. to Crim and she was great. She always managed to capture everyone's attention with her stories, jokes and enthusiasm for the subect. If you can manage to find an open spot in any of her courses I suggest you jump at the opportunity!

AWESOME PROF. She is halarious. Very appochable, clear with all her intructions for papers and assignments. You will love going to class, she can always keep your attention. The class is alot of work, but you learn sooo much! Take any classes possible with professor Clarke.

Dr. Clarke is by far the best prof any student could ask for. She makes us laugh and keeps our attention...I'm so glad I had her as my prof. In the future, I'll hopefully be taking more classes taught by her. I honestly could not ask for a better prof, not a word a lie!

Dr. Clarke is great. Another one of my favourite profs! Really love the crime and film class, watched some great movies. If you take this class make sure you do the 5 questions ahead of time or you'll regret it by the end. will miss her random stories!

Dr. Clarke is an amazing professor. Highly recommend her classes! I tried to take all of them. You DO have to work very hard in her courses but in the end its worth it. She's a super person and really loves her work which makes it even better when it comes to lectures. You never seem to lose interest when she talks... Def one of my favorites!

If you take her Crime and Popular Film course I HIGHLY recommend (like someone else did) that you DO THE QUESTIONS AHEAD OF TIME!!! Don't say "I'll do it tomorrow" and put it off and put it off... It kicks your butt in the end. TRUST ME. Other than that she's awesome!!

Best prof ever. I've taken qualitative, ad qualitative, crime and popular film,I'm auditing her crime + media class. Hard work, but you learn so much even if you think you dont. Very fair and listens if you ever need somebody to talk to. Class time is always fun ,and never boring. Take her class if you don't mind some hard work, you wont regret it.

Dawne is one of my inspirations for staying in University! She may seem rough around the edges but, she truly cares about her students. Work hard, yes, lot's of work with, Dawne, but it's worth it in the end.

When I graduate from STU next month, I will be proud to say that I was taught many courses by Dawne. She is and will always be my favorite St. Thomas professor. She cares immensily about students and loves the work she does. She can grade you hard but it's because she wants you to care as much as she does. TAKE HER!!!!

I had Dawne for Qual and Ad Qual and learned tons from her. Despite her quirky stories about her family... she passed on a lot of knowledge about qualitative research. Anyone with any knowledge or interest in the field would realize this and realize she knows her stuff. She isn't a hard marker.. she just expects you to have a brain.

She seems to genuinely care about students and is absolutely hilarious in class! However, we spend alot of class time watching videos rather than going over course material and her online quizes are ridiculously hard and her exams are even worse!

Very nice lady, she really cares about her students and she is very easy to approach an is always willing to help you if you have troubles. Her class can be very hard but if you come to class and pay attention your grade will reflect that. Her papers can be brutal so be ready to write. Overall a great prof and she is hilarious!

Dawn is is my favorite prof -she is very very nice and makes the content even more interesting than it already is. Not to mention she is entertaining -it makes learning easier. Her paper marking is tough though - but the midterm was easy as long as you memorized terms and stuff. She is really good and funny.

Absolutely loved her! She is a great professor who expects the best for all her students. She is funny, witty, and knows how to keep the class interested. But don't expect it to be easy, she makes you work but it is so worth it. I'm planning on becoming a Crim major and she made my choice even clearer to pursue it.

Amazing professor! Never a dull moment in her class! She's always so helpful and actually cares about her students. Her classes are always enjoyable. One thing is you can't slack off in her class unless you're aiming for a D. I'll definitely be looking for more classes by her next year!

Great prof but she is a hard marker, expects first years to be advanced writers and gives a huge amount of work. She gives a lot of long articles to read and assignments due every two weeks. Final papers are brutal.

If you're not willing to work than don't bother taking this class. If you're a straight A student, don't expect to keep that record. However, Dr. Clarke is an extremely intelligent and funny person. Her classes are challenging, but you come out a better writer and critical thinker. Really prepares you for future university classes.

I was very lucky to have taken Dr. Clark's Intro to Crim class! As long as we did our readings and attended class, it was not very difficult. She is extremely funny and eccentric and I would 100% take another class with her!

Dawne is a great person! She is very approachable when you need help with anything, and that the classes that she offers are interesting. However, she is a hard marker, and when you usually get As in every other course, and this class was a B- for me. Professor Dawned Clarke is an absolute gem. You have to read, and really read. There are a lot of readings to do but they are manageable. You will feel lost but she is there to help you and will make you succeed. You have to try to fail. Also, if you don't work for it you won't get it. She is a challenge and a warm soul. TAKE ANY COURSE WITH HER!!

Shes funny, critical and tells you what you need to do to succeed. Read the course outline and follow it. Know the questions you have about your text and articles before you go in. This is standard practice for any university course. I did this and succeeded. Those who didnt got lower marks. Shes very approachable and will work with you.

Dr. Clarke may be a tad bit intimidating at first, she is such a sweetheart. She's so funny and kind. She may be a bit of a hard marker but she gives great feedback and always answers questions when asked. Show her respect and she will give it back. Awesome class. (Tests were a bit difficult)
