Professor Arcurio is probably the best professor at MSU. She is very caring about her students and is very funny. The first time i took ENWR-105, the professor was awful and i ended up with a D-. I retook this class with professor Arcurio and did so much better. I recommend taking her for all of your writing classes!

The work load is heavy and though Arcurio is a harsh grader, she's very passionate about teaching. She's a clear instructor, always available and willing to invest a lot of time to help you improve your writing.

I went to Prof Arcurio's office hours to help with projects and she was very helpful. All of us in the class were happy with her lectures and time she took to answer our questions. The class is hands on and very approachable in steps building up our porjects. Group projects were always done in class and that helps. I recommend her very much

The class as a whole was a community and I enjoyed participating and talking about readings and just hearing everyones' opinion. She responds quick to emails and is always willing to help you with your papers. Her comments were very helpful than in high school

She is a really great person. She cares about you and your overall career in her class. She takes the time to explain everything in depth. Don't miss a class though, or you will be way behind. The work is a lot and the group projects can be kind of annoying if your members suck, but it is a fun class and you learn a lot in it.

My first hybrid writing class ever and it was helpful and challenging . She made the class fun when we met and easy to access online and with the syllabus. No required book used in class and no need to print any papers which is good. She lectures really good to help you understand writing

I took her for WRIT208. I went into the class knowing very little and barely being able to work my laptop, she is extremely understanding that not everyone is on the same level with technology. All homework is online. Attendance is mandatory, but she is reasonable. She worked with me all semester, I LOVED her-deff. one of my favorite professors.

Professor Arcurio teaches a few classes so take her for WRIT 209 Visual Rhetoric because it's really an amazing class. The projects are challenging but fun. I wouldn't have done as well without learning from the challenges and having a portfolio to come away with. She's hilarious, knowledgeable, and fun to learn from!!

We get homework but its not as bad as it looks. No tests in this class. The papers count towards your grade. Would definitely take this professor again.

She is really nice, but it's hard to get 100% on papers. She is big on a really defined thesis so make your it's obvious or she won't be satisfied. My advice is work on the papers early and go to office hrs for corrections. Homework was fairly easy. She'd assign a video and article after each class and you'd have to write a discussion post.

There is a discussion post due every class, a project, and two major papers (which she grades toughly). The class I took was all about video games and media, which was not expressed to me before hand and I probably would not have taken it if it was. She's nice but VERY boring. The class is mostly watching shows and movies, overall and easy A.

Professor Arcurio is organized and prepared for every class. The course was fun and relevant with topics like A.I., digital art, gaming, CGI animated film, and true crime! This was my favorite part! I learned so much about myself and my interests lined up with content. Small writing practice and fun projects! I loved it!

My friend and I took the course and really loved it. Professor makes the class fun with topics that matter like social justice issues and digital artwork and all stuff that students care about. You can pick your essays from so many prompt choices and be creative. I definitely improved my writing, and you have to put in the time and hard work!

Professor Arcurio is soft spoken and thoughtful as she listens to your ideas. I struggle with anxiety in general and about writing, but she made me feel calm. I wrote better by following her audio and written feedback. The class has three units that are all practice based for the essay with current events that I learned a lot about.

It's a really modern writing class with trendy to retro topics that are fun. Her content is focused on digital literacy and analyzing short film and TV. Prof. A's feedback and peer review style helped process ideas and writing was fun again. Good vibes in the class, too.

I have writing anxiety and Prof A is mild mannered and calm and this totally helps me. I didn't feel nervous or stupid asking her questions about writing or what I needed to improve. She gives excellent audio feedback and specific writing tools to help you learn and grow. I learned more in one semester than high school English.

The class was generally nice and relaxing as the professor talked with a soft tone and made class not feel stressful (thank goodness i had class at 10am) The homework is usually a 250 word response on canvas which seems like a lot but honestly its just talking. Basically, everything builds on the next lesson, so attendance is important. She is clear, soft-spoken, approachable, and encouraging. I gained confidence because of her and didn't doubt myself.
