WORST sociology teacher ever. My class started with 40, ended with 15. I failed his class then got an A with minnich. His tests are impossibly hard avoid him at all costs.

DROP this class right away if you get this guy! Sociology is supposed to be an easy class, but this guy creates these crazy tests, he doesn't cover the material in the class, and just shows old movies all the time bc he's too fat to do anything eles.

I'm telling you do not take this class ever. EVER. He made it harder than both my econ and accounting, I aced all three and failed soc. I studied three hours for his test went to every class and I got the highest grade,an 89. He is a terrible teacher, which makes the most interesting class boring

I am STILL scratching my head, trying to figure out where he came up with the material for his tests. Not only is he ridiculously difficult, he singlehandedly makes fun of certain religions in class, while flaunting his own views and forcing them down his students' throats. He should be fired.

worst teacher alive. he doesn't take notes, he mostly scribbles things on the board if he mentions it in his lectures, his test are very hard(essay/multiple choice) very unclear, expects us to soak up everything he says. dont take this class. if your looking for the best sociology teacher its EHLE

Terrible professor! I was very interested, but he seemed to ruin the experience. He was unclear and didn't give you much to run on in his assignments. He seems bitter about student apathy, but if you try to act like you care he merely scoffs at you, so you can't win.

Extremly unhelpful. & has an accent that makes it hard to understand him sometimes. If you try to ask a question to clarify something, he makes fun of you. Donna Minnich is way better.

Worst professor ever. Where did this guy come from anyway? He was unclear with everything and used 20-year newspaper clippings instead of the text. Take Minnich instead. His class was 16 weeks of time I will never get back.

all the tests are on the history of NOVA...must memorize the 3 educational goals of NOVA to pass. the tests and lectures have nothing to do with sociology, your better off learning about soc from someone else. he murders any motivation to learn about sociology.

Don't take him. He gives examples that are totally unrelated to course. His exams are the toughest i've ever appeared........Can u imagine...he gives question in and around 100 including subjectives. The worst teacher i've ever experienced. Has no idea what he's talking about and spends the first two weeks of class on learning the book, such as the index, table of contents. POINTLESS. If you want the history of NOVA, take his class.

Sociology is the easiest class in college, by far. This teacher,however, by pure ignorance and lack of clarity makes it INCREDIBLY difficult and unintersting. Don't waste your time and money. He is the worst of all. We would go to the class and just watch the most boring videos ever. He expected us to read the whole book and asked questions from details of the book which he would never ever talked in the class about. If you ask you a qustion, he answers you something else!! His breath smells like rotten flesh. This guy is a total TOOL. He makes no sense and spends forever going over the stupid history of NOVA - who cares? He also teaches from yellowed news paper articles and he even tests on it. I had to drop this class because it was so ridiculous. Don't take any class with this guy - you'll regret it if you do.

I WANTED to be a soc. major. THIS GUY IS THE WORST HUMAN BEING I'VE COME IN CONTACT WITH. I had to drop his class and he still gave me a hard time. I ended up taking soc. with another teacher and getting an A. This professor was going to fail me. HORRIBLE! He makes his class hard and is incredibly rude. STAY AWAY!!!

If he were not there it would be an awesome class, he never talks about the material thats on the test, he gives out random quizes that 'he promissed us', and spends class time somewhere other than class while a movies playing. He said he would give extra credit assingments but has only given 2! waste of time, money, and space.

I was not impressed with Mr. Haledjian at all. I'm sure he is a neat individual outside the confines of his classroom, but when your stuck in his class, its like being stuck in a car when your sick. As I recall, his classes were EXTREMELY boring, and many of his quizzes were unpredictable and very difficult. I implore you not to take him.

I personnally would not reccomend this teacher to any one taking sociology 201. The class room time is a waste..he does not teach anything that is important and should be taught and prepared for the tests...if you take it...you will surely fail cuz more than half my class failed his exams.

I don't recommend this teacher at all. He's not clear on what he's teaching, I really have no idea what I'm doing in the class. The first exam we had I made a 64, and that was with studying and going to class. The next exam, I showed up to one or two classes prior to the test, didn't study at all, and I made a grade in the 60s. He's a bad prof.

He was the instructer for ELI Soc. 201 class. I turned in all work and made "A"'s on everything. I had a question about something and we disagreed. He got very nasty and rude. Also gave me a "F". He sucks, don't take him-"EVER". Should be fired. Bad teacher. I hope he reads this!

I took him for an ELI course. I completed all of assignments and got A's on all papers. But, I asked him a question, and he became really unreasonable and ugly. Needless to say, he gave me an F. I would never take him again! Steer clear of him if you know what's good for you.

HORRIBLE Professor. Textbook is required for testing but never covered in class. He lectures the entire time and likes the sound of his own voice.

To be short - classroom lectures were a waste of time. Instead of teaching important subjects about Sociology, Haledjian would instead talk mostly about his personal life and constantly would repeat his stories throughout the semester. If you asked him a question he would basically ignore you and go off on a random tangent. IGNORE PROF READ BOOK.

I took his course through ELI and I would never ever take another class with him again. The answer keys for his tests are wrong, thus you can get every question correct, but still not get an A. He is no help at all. Save yourself some anxiety and take another course or instructor.

Terrible teacher! DO NOT TAKE HIM! Goes off on random tangents that have absolutely nothing to do with the chapter. He likes to hear the sound of his own voice. Not helpful or understanding in any way. I hated his course. You're best bet if you have to take this class is to show up and sleep during lecture because he doesn't teach you anything.

Worst prof- EVER. Never answers your emails. Tests are on questions from the work book which he doesn't mention that you should buy. Do not get in a disagreement with him or your grade will suffer. Just terrible. Barely coherent rambling lectures that he clearly thinks are the nectar of wisdom dripping from his mouth. I don't agree with the people who say the tests are hard, though -- if you read the chapters once and aren't a moron you can get an A+ on his tests.

Professor Haledijan is honestly the worst professor I have ever had. Class time consists of him ranting about whatever unimportant and uninteresting subject he wants to. Tests are full of random information, only some of which can be found in the textbook. His class is a waste of time, and I recommend avoiding it at all costs.

I looked at the terrible reviews and decided to give this professor a chance anyways. um, yeah, don't. he rants about random topics and does not clarify how they relate to sociology. If you're into teaching yourself from the textbook and wasting time sitting in the most boring lecture ever, this is the class for you. Don't expect to learn in class.

Regret not checking this website before taking his class. His lectures have nothing to do with the exams and he is not there for you. Make sure you read from the book and you'll be fine but try to avoid this class!

He is the old man and talked a lot about everything except the book's material. He would give you the copy material from magazine and newspaper and never asks you to study those newspapers but he asked you later for his exams. You will be fail and need to repeat this class. Exams are open book and from no where. I do not recommend him at all , bad!

Worst mistak I ever made taking his class. Terrible instructor.
