Awesome Professor!! He's very friendly and super helpful. This class uses the Aleks math program (no textbook) which is also really helpful if you are someone who struggles with math, like me. He also drops your four lowest classwork grades. If you don't pass this class or his tests its on you.

MUST TAKE! Prof is really great.He teaches subject manner well enough for the entire class to understand. I did most of the homework (which is not mandatory), got A+'s on 4/5 tests and I would consider myself an average math student. I got an A in the class without much effort. He drops the lowest test score and he gives opportunities for ex. cred

Really laid back and likes to make a joke about his kids or the math problem. Will give step by step of how to understand the chapter and how to do it. Don't really need a text book for the class but need the code for mylabsplus. Highly recommended

This man is the real deal! I'm not good at all in his class, but he made math so easy. He lets you use notes on exams, so that really helped me a lot. I passed his class with a B. Very helpful and understanding professor. He also gives you extra cred opportunities, so it's no way you shouldn't pass.

You do not use a book. He is a good teacher no doubt however the course I took used ALEKS. Starting out the objectives in the pie, there are maybe 6 sections. The sections vary anywhere between 20 to 70 questions. If you get 1 question wrong, you automatically get 3 more. I can't stare at a computer all day. You could spend hours on ALEKS.

THE GUY IS AMAZING! I hate math and loved his class. He likes when you ask questions and dont mind if you stop him to ask him to explain something again. He is also very HOT but most of all NICE! Really cares if you pass & wants to help. GREAT TEACHER! NO ACCENT! NO ATTITUDE! LOVED HIM! Take him and you'll do better in math than you ever did before

Professor Harley is an awesome professor. He's very down to earth, nice, and truly cares about his students passing. I'm terrible at math! But he really helped me understand a vast majority of it. I wish taught more math courses..My only gripe was the Aleks program he uses for HW and such, it can become rather aggravating to say the least.

He is a great teacher and explains things thoroughly he is also nice and easy on the eyes ladies, but his class has a online portion called ALEKS, you will have to spend HOURS on aleks,We had to take non multiple choice tests and do a whole lot of HW,I like him but take a class that does not have aleks,Mylab plus is a lot less stressful than aleks.

He is the best!!! Nice,friendly and helpful! I've taken him for two semesters already. I wish he taught statistics as well. If you don't understand he will just repeat it again without a problem. 4 test the whole semester. write down all his notes, he uses the examples from notes as short answer problem questions on test. A++++++++++

I love this professor, however I do not like the Aleks program that is mandatory for this class. Besides the unfortunate use of Aleks, this teacher is over-all amazing. Great attitude, funny, helpful, and easy on the eyes. Take him- you wont regret it.

i took session 4 for fall, the class was way tooo long. but it was easy. 4 exams and a final, aleks, 2 worksheets in class every day. i enjoyed his teaching, very clear

Hands down, professor Harley is the best professor I have had at Broward College. He's professional, kind, down to earth, knows what he's doing and is there for you. Makes this subject an absolute piece of cake. For the first time in a math class, I never struggled. Take him; you will not regret it. 10/10 and not a single complaint.

Would take again hands down. Made a tough subject understandable. I was amazed at how interesting he made the class which for me was a blessing since I've been out of school for a while. Only bad thing is the homework which is ALOT!! My advise would be not to wait until the last minute to complete because the homework holds a lot of value on grade

Great professor. Easy to talk to and learn from. Make time and he will help you. Aleks is a bit of a drag but it's a key to passing and prep for his tests as well as knowledge check. Only regret I have is not taking him earlier. Great individual to learn from. I highly recommend him to any subject he teaches.

Awesome teacher! He takes his time and goes thru everything throughly. Give opportunities for extra credit and uses My Labs Plus. As long as you do the HW before it is due (or else face a 10 percent deduction) then you're good! The final also replaces the lowest test score.

Listen! I have taken several math classes because I'm horrible at it . Finally took this man for Statistics and I was in the class answering questions and passing my quizzes like a true math geek! He is a LEGEND! Explains everything clearly and has no issue repeating it if you didn't get it on first try. Tests are a breeze because of his reviews.

I was really hesitant to take Int Alebra online but Professor Harley uses this program called ALEKS that is awesome, not intimidating at all! He allows you to complete the semesters work ahead of time if needed (which is great if you have a full time job) and his tests are exactly like yhe reviews!!! Got a 95% on the class. Loved it!

He is what you call "crème de la crème" in all honesty! He knows how to deliver the material and ensures that students understand. He writes his lecture notes on the board. Homework is on MathXL and is NOT optional, four tests includes the final which is optional and only used to replace your lowest grade. I took him again for mgf1107 passed with A

I honestly did like my Professor; he was funny and was very lenient with us I just did not enjoy the work. It is difficult and you really do have to study but if I were to take another math class I would definitely take him and I would recommend him to anyone who decides to take college algebra.

You have to put it in the work of course. Homework is on MathXL, 4 test one of the 4 is optional and each study guide will prepare you for each test. I pass with an A.

After having difficulty in high school with algebra i knew i would have to do this developmental math. The professor has been the only teacher to teach math in a clear way which i could fully understand. He is willing to give you any extra help in class work. Definitely don't miss the class because you'll miss out on important learning.

Homework is on mymathlab, 4 tests & final he drops the lowest grade. He gives reviews for each test and they are exactly the same as the test but different numbers. 1 index card to cheat but I had up to 5 and he didnt care. 1 test per month & each section of the homework is due the day before the test so that way you know what will be on the test.

Best math teacher I've ever had. He doesn't move on until everyone is clear. No book. Decent amount of homework but doing it all was good practice for the test. There's 4 tests plus the final which is cumulative. He gives a review which is exactly like the test. He also allows a 3x5 note card with as much as you can write on it to use during test.

Amazing professor, I had no business passing this class and the only reason I did was due to this professor and him alone. Do all your homework, pay attention, and try your best on your tests, the rest takes care of itself.

For more than half of the modules I had to go to tutoring class. The book and the videos are not necessarily enough to understand. Its not hard math in MGF1106, but it is new math, dont leave it until the last minute.

He's a great professor the only thing is he teaches very slowly and eventually you'll fall asleep. he doesn't grade HW he only grades test, quizzes, and ALEKS his extra credit is only worth 5 points if he sees you struggling he'll curve your grade at the end of the semester that's only if he see you making a effort

Harley is an angel. The man genuinely cares about his students and HATES DELL COMPUTERS! He is the best math professor I've ever had in my 4 years at Broward College. Due to Corona my 12:30-145 T-THUR class moved to online. We, as a class, missed seeing and hearing him. I wish we had a proper goodbye as this class was so enjoyable. Very easy class.

Had Prof Harley at the beginning of this semester for the 8-week math course and it was the best math class I've ever taken. Lectures were almost 3 hours long twice a week but so worth it. One of the very best! This course is one that has similar content to a high school class that I absolutely failed. Professor Harley does an amazing job of making this content digestible, paying attention in class will most likely award you an A. He gives extra credit on all tests (being some extra questions) enabling me to get 100% on every exam.

Took this class a dual enrollment student I had about 2 class at bc and 5 at school.This class did not interupt my schedule at all. All the homework and labs are due on tuesday, they are fast to do. Email him, if you need something from him, he'll understand.

One of the Easiest Prof you'll take for Discrete Math. He's supper chillax. He drops the lowest 2 quiz. there are also 3 tests and a final, and he'll drop the lowest. Since I already got an A without taking the finals, i didn't take it. And I got an A. Super fair guy. TAKE HIM!!!!!

Before Professor Harley I had such a difficult time with math. I was DREADING college math. It turned out to be my favorite class yet. Professor Harley had great lectures and his organization really helped me understand the material. We did mostly group work. He was always helping you out. Also take notes!! All in all a great teacher.

I loved his class! He makes plenty of joke and explains if u need but u do have to speak up. He is very straight to the point and in he words "You'll become a algerbrasit" (You can joke around with him and still learn I actually banned him from using that word cause he said it so much, and it became a joke in our class) HE DOES MOVE FAST, SO FOCUS!

Math is not my strong suit but professor Dean Harley made the course easy to understand as long as you participate. In the beginning of class you will choose a group of your own liking make sure it's with people who shows up and participate because they determine your grade as a group when it comes to projects. 10/10 recommend.
