Dean Moore is a awesome. I took him for 4 classes; a math, a stat and 2 algebras. Don't hesitate to take for anything. Not many drop his classes.

Professor Moore is a great instructor!! He explains everything you need to know about the course. He's not strict and our time in class is usually shorter than the hours we're suppose to be in. I highly recommend him.

GREAT TEACHER

I am half way through his class and he has made the material easy to understand. He goes right to the exercises in the book and tells you how to do them and the tests are similar exercises. You don't have to memorize formulas. I am loving it!

Mr. Moore is a great professor, his teaching techniques allows you to understand algebra and also he has quizes on his website so you have time to study for each test and what is on the quiz is on the test. I would recommend to take Mr. Moore.

Mr. Moore only gives the important stuff. He gives little an relevant homework and his tests and quizzes are simple. All quizzes are open book, open homework, open note, and all of the formulas are given on the tests. After the test, he will give you a key to study from. This is hands down the teacher for you!

From Day 1 I felt at ease with this professor. I had previously taken it from Instructor Scott Flax a true disaster> Now I am finishing up Professor Moore's class with A's on quizzes, A on project and a big test tommorrow and the final if you feel like you want to bring your grade higher, he is there for. I've taken 2 math courses with him now.He's by far the best math professor at FCCJ. He made Stats. an ease for such a scary subject. I highly recommend him for any math course..you won't regret it. Dean Moore is an amazing math teacher. I LOATHE math and got an A. He allows you to use a formula packet with anything on it you want for tests. He teaches in a "real world way" not a textbook way which was awesome! I would definitely recommend him!!!

I absolutely love this professor. He teaches you only what you need to know to pass the tests. As long as you go to class, (do your homework, although it's not mandatory), you should have no problem. He is very understanding and so helpful. You do have to do work, however, if you do it you will succeed. Great professor.

Professor Moore is an excellent educator. He presented the material in ways the ensured the success of all the students. He broke down the material to a very basic level which made it extremely easy to follow. I would highly recommend him as an Algebra instructor. Professor Moore is great at what he does and actually cares about his students. He will go out of his way to help any student, even when they ask the same question repeatedly. Your grades are up to you, since you have all semester to make sure everything is turned in. Again, great teacher, would take him again.

I've had professor Moore for other classes and decided to take him again for Sta2023. Very laid back and funny guy, very helpful you can tell he loves what he does. Won't bog you down with a ton of homework and understand that you have a life outside his class. His classes fill up on the first day for a reason. Take him if you can.

He is a great teacher. This is my second time taking him. I will be taking Mr Moore next semester for STA 2023. Not to much work only teaches you what you need to know and not to much homework. All work done online so no book needed. Awesome teacher

Excellent professor. Humorous, personable, easy going, and good at teaching math for students. In fact, the only potentially negative thing you could say about him is that he might be slightly too lenient with students. The sole reason not to go with him would be if you want an excessive challenge in algebra with no help from the professor.

A very easygoing and nice guy. His teaching style is geared towards students who DO NOT plan to take calculus; this is great if you're not taking calculus, but not so great otherwise. This means that he overlooks things you may need down the line, in order to make things easier for his class. However, I did enjoy his class and recommend him.

Really nice professor. Doesn't pick favorites, and doesn't call people out. The notes were my life-line for the test, studying them was very important. All he does in class is read the notes verbatim. You could ask him any question. Overall a thought provoking course, i couldn't just text. But he was a good professor

Just an EASIER version of intermediate math. Teaches problem in simplest form. Always feels sorry when the problem is unnecessary in life. Tests were 25 quest, multi choice. Test review is ALWAYS similar to the test. Provides formulas on board for tests. Mymathlab hw only 3-10 questions. I love this guy!!

No textbook required. Professor always has notes printed out for students and goes over everything in class. You do all of the homework online which is fairly simple. Do the homework, go to class, study before a test, you will pass. Nothing bad to say about this professor.

Super easy class! Prof. Mooore makes maths no problem. Test are similar to practice test, formulas presented on board for test and test are all multiple choice. His class is a must take! The only problem is that his classes fill up quickly. The best Math Prof, in my opinion. If you can't pass his class, you'll never pass a math class, period.

The best Math professor I have ever taken. The only two problems I can think of is (1) You'll regret not taking him if you don't. (2) His class is way too easy. Super easy! If you don't understand some work problems he will go one on one with you until you do understand the problem. If you do the homework on my math lab there is no way you can't pass with an A. He was my favorite professor. He typed out examples, went through each one on the board and then we could leave. He didn't give quizzes and tests were exactly the same as the practice problems. He's super nice, understanding and teaches in a way that makes it super easy to understand! I would take him again if I had another math class!

There is a VERY good reason his class fills quickly! Don't shop anywhere else if you want to pass stats and possibly even enjoy it! No book, but you have to pay for the MyMathLab access. He passes out notes/samples. Lectures very detailed but quick; longest my class lasted was 35 minutes. I almost wish I had another math just so I could take him!

Not a fan of Statistics, but this professor is great. He makes everything easy to understand, even at 6:30 am. If you have a question he will answer it. He gives you every opportunity to make a good grade in his class. If you need a to take a math class, take this professor.

He makes statistics super easy. I pretty much love it now. He teaches you how to do everything on your calculator contrary to teachers who think you don't have a calculator in the real world when you do statistics. Overall a really good class to take. He's really funny and grade is based on home work and tests. I give him a rating of 6.

If you see a spot open for his class, grab it quickly, no matter when/what days it's for, he is so worth it! He makes statistics easy with handouts, formula packet (you can use during tests), and online HW. Wants students to succeed, no busywork or tricks to make things difficult, will help you if you have questions without making you feel dumb.

Prof Moore takes the time to answer all questions and ensure clarity. HW is done on MyMathLab, study guides provided on "Lab Days" 1-2 days prior to test day, study guide is similar to the actual test, there are 4 tests. If you are satisfied with your grade, final exam is not required.

Great professor, difficult material is being taught and he makes it easy for you. Attendance is mandatory or you will not receive a good grade. He uses my math lab which SUCKS !!! Incorrectly typing in the correct answer they mark you wrong! Unfair system and he uses all his homework through it

Professor Moore is a very patience person, he shows genuine concern for every student. He explains everything in ways that are easy to understand. Is up front about what is expected of students and is also understanding of life's bumps in the road. He doesn't use the text book just software, however the software has to be purchased.

Professor Moore is the person to take for Statistics! He was very helpful and explained everything at an easy level for everyone to understand. The entire class consisted of 4 tests & homework. The final exam is optional if you are satisfied with your grade after the last test. You'll always get out early; the max time we were in class was 45 mins.

I recommend Professor Dean to everyone. He is the best Math Professor ever. He doesn't try to make things hard. He is extremely helpful. He said the first day of class show up and you will be fine and he meant it. The only way you could fail is if you don't go to class or do your homework.

This professor was literally the BEST math professor I have ever taken. I took him for Intermediate Algebra and Stats and I've got to say he was there every step of the way. If you're not good at math like I was then take him, his lessons are very clear and he explains EVERYTHING. If I could take this professor for every math course I would.

He was a great professor! I would definitely take him again! Statistics looks super confusing and complicated but he does a great job of breaking it down to make it easier for you. Homework isn't a lot and is due AFTER finals! You will always leave early. I took it from 12pm-1:15pm and we always left 20-30 minutes early. I would highly recommend.

There is no extra credit in Prof. Moore's statistics, but if pay attention to his lectures when it comes exam time there may be some problems that have multiple solutions. If you can defend giving multiple solutions along with the correct answer it may earn extra points. All his classes fill up quickly. Register ASAP!

Professor Moore makes statistics easy! He will provide a packet that will teach you all the formulas that you will need for the term and will only require you to purchase the access code. I kept my packet for future reference. I plan to take him again for business statistics in Spring.

Very understanding

Professor Moore is the perfect professor for statistics, especially for students who may not be good at math. He gives out "help cards" that you can write whatever you want on them and use them for each test. Final is optional. Three tests total. ALWAYS extra credit. Can ask questions during tests. He's really funny and I would take him again!

I am a person that absolutely sucks at math but this professor will be your lord and savior. He's the best stat professor and makes sure you understand something in case there was something you didn't get. He's kind hearted and encouraging. He doesn't beat around the bush & get straight to the point. Literally the easiest class EVER with this man.

He is awesome! He uses power point slides and goes over the problems step by step on a big screen. He even shows you how to use the TI84 Calculator. Take him, if you hate math. Gives Extra Credit!!!

All lectures ended early, but were still very informative. Cancels class often. Five take home tests were 100% of the grade. Attendance and homework not graded.

He gives packets for every chapter and talks you through them and you can use notes on tests! The final was just extra credit and the homework was online and due at the end of the semester. It's literally an easy "A" as long as you show up on test day and do the homework before the semester ends, I promise, you'll pass even if you're bad at math.

Professor Moore is the greatest, I'm not a Math student was scared from day 1 of this class. Three tests (allows cheat sheet) if you pass those u don't have to take the final, which I did but he will drop the lowest grade of the 4 tests, you will have homework not due till the end of the term or do it as schedule. Overall great Professor!

I took prof. Moore for college algebra and statistics and let me tell you he is a great math teacher if you struggle in math just like me I ended up passing all three tests and passing the homework which is assigned on my math lab and didn't have to take the final. Also he lets you use a cheat sheet with notes on them for the test. You will pass?

Excellent Professor! ALEKS is great, once you get the hang of it. Please, use the tutors, they are amazing & saved my grade- increased D to B after a week of tutoring! There are 5 quizzes- unlimited retakes, a midterm- 3 retakes and a final- 3 retakes. Take the quizzes 1st day, copy/save examples & use the tutors for the pie & then retake quizzes.

ALEKS was an excellent online tool to use because it ensured that you learned the material, unlike other online platforms. His class required you to take a mid term and a final with 3 attempts (for any wrong answer he gives you .25 credit) quiz is unlimited.

Best professor to take for statistics ! Im not the best at math but he was very helpful & genuinely cares for his students. I would definitely take him again. Do yourself a favor & take professor Moore !

We used ALEKS for this class. Most work can be done from home. Only needed to be on campus for testing. Will give partial credit on wrong answers when appropriate.

Great professor and good person. I had three classes and a full time job and fell behind my assignment. He extended the deadline and was very understanding. I was able to get through the course and got good grades on all my classes. Aleks was very convenient becouse you can do the HW at home on your own time. He gives you plenty of chances to pass

Probably one of the best teachers I've ever had. So easy going, which makes the material easy to understand. Gets rid of all the unnecessary things in his lecture notes and teaches the stuff you really need to know. He knows that this is a pre req for most of us, so he makes it as simple as possible. Can he teach all of my classes please?

This professor worked every problem on the board while explaining it to you and gave you a change to copy the information. He also gives a pre practice test and goes over that also. Gives credit on the test for trying to get the correct answer. I really recommend this professor.

All of the work is done online. the only thing that you need to be in class for are the tests. Homework and Quizzes have unlimited attempts. Tests have 2. I suggest going to class because he will explain the things that the programs makes difficult. he will make it easy for you if you ask for help. Do yourself a favor and take Prof. Moore.

You are doing yourself a disservice to not take Professor Moore. He will stop at nothing to make sure you are going to get past his class. By far the best professor I had at my time at FSCJ. That is saying a lot because Statistics was my biggest fear heading into the course. Take him!

By far the best professor I have had so far. He makes the lectures fun, understandable, and short. He also gives out a lot of extra credit opportunities. You will not regret taking his class. I definitely will take another math course with him.

I'm horrible at math and passed this class with a B without putting in much work. I took online and finished 3/4 of the class in the free 2 week trial on ALEKS. 6 quizzes and 3 tests ALL online from home. No proctor needed. Gives multiple attempts on tests and unlimited on quizzes. Work at your own pace. Stupid if you don't choose this professor.

Attendance not mandatory but unless you're good at math I recommend you go. Homework (unlimited attempts) and 3 tests (2 attempts) are on mymathlab. Some homework problems didn't always reflect what was lectured but he's available for help. Will teach you the easiest way v. how the book teaches. Never been good a math so I'm glad I took his course

Professor Moore was wonderful and everything was due on Aleks. You dont need to show up to class unless you need help or when there is a test. Theres 6 easy quizzes, 38 topics (homework problems), and 3 tests. As long as you practice the problems, everything is very easy. The entire course can be completed in two-three months if you work hard.

class completely on aleks. you could do all the work at home(aside from the tests which are password protected) or do it in class, I never did the work at home and completed the work in time for the deadlines. he always checked and asked if I needed help before he stepped out of the room

He is great, statistics was on Aleks which is much better than mymathlab. You didn't need to come to class, only for the tests. But he was there if you wanted to do your homework or ask questions.

Professor Moore is one of the best professors I've ever had. When I came to class, he showed me different ways to retain & recall Statistical equations. He responded to every email and answered all of my questions regarding my homework. My classmates referred me to him. I'm truly understand Statistics & for him as an instructor, I'm grateful.

Professor Moore is one of the nicest and most caring professors I've ever had. He always lets you take test whenever you feel ready, and he'll sit down with you and work out the problems. As long as you finish the work before class ends, it doesn't matter when it's completed. Self explanatory work. No attendance required unless it's for the test.

I was due to have this class in the classroom due to c-19, we were online. I am not good at math and require a lot of hands-on. Dr. Moore made it easy and he helped so much outside of class time and even on the weekends. I believed him when he said I will pass, I didn't see how. I know he has some extra gray hair complements of myself. He rocks!!

I was in a really rough spot, during the last week and was giving up on everything. Professor Moore gave me options on how to recover myself and not fail. With his support, I managed to pass the class with a good grade. Please do not be scared to take his math classes- this is not a man that will abandon you. An absolutely outstanding person.

I took Professor Moore online during the fall term of the 2020 pandemic. Hes a great guy, easy to communicate with, goes out of his way for students, his ability is flexible between every individual, and most of all, hes very respectful. As long as you try, he will be there to help you. I would retake him.

I dropped out of college 7 years ago due to the fact that I couldn't pass Stats twice. I finally got the courage to sign back up for college and was advised by other students to take Professor Dean Moore. I am so blessed and happy I listened. This course was 100% online. There were deadlines, but if you missed one you could always go back and complete the assignment so it was pretty much self-paced. I appreciated that Professor Moore was always available to help and understood student schedules. I am terrible at math and got a high A; if I could do it, anyone can!

I cannot speak any higher about Professor Moore. He is so kind, so considerate, and makes it very clear that he is here for us. He is lenient and wants you to succeed. The class is through Aleks and has weekly due dates but its at your pace and based off your own knowledge. He is so awesome and I wish all professors were like him.

Professor Moore is AMAZING! He makes the class very easy and is great at relieving anxiety. All he wants is to see us succeed. There is a proctored final exam but you can have unlimited notes. It is mandatory to show up to lectures but all you have to do is say hi and he'll let you go after a few minutes. TAKE HIS CLASS. You won't regret it!

This was a great class with a great professor! I have always been struggling with math in the country where I am from but once I moved her I noticed how different the teaching style is. Professor Dean is the embodiment of an amazing teacher who teaches with love and actually cares for his students to succeed. I am sad this class is over!

Prof Moore is GREAT!! The class was online, but he was ALWAYS willing to work with you 1:1 to help you with any math problems you encounter. His goal was to make sure every student understood the assignments, and knew what to do. He uses ALEK for his class (not really a textbook). YES I would definitely take his class again. SUPER caring!

This is my second semester with Prof. Moore and I will be back for STA 2023 with him. Attendance is mandatory but all you have to do is log in and say hello unless you have questions. Work is done through ALEKS and if you don't understand a topic, Prof. Moore is always available for 1:1 assistance and is so kind. He wants his student to succeed.

Professor Moore was super sweet but the class itself was frustrating. The program we use is confusing when it comes to grading, and it is very hard to be clear on what to study for the final. It ended up being much easier than I expected, but the anticipation and not-knowing was stressful. A lovely professor, but the program was not a fit for me.

I took him for elementary algebra ( Remedial class) I was terrified because math is not my strong suit but when i tell you Mr.Moore was understanding and willing to help !!! I was able to pass his class with flying colors. they use ALEKS and its self paced the higher u score on the 1st test the less pie charts you have to complete.

Very amazing Professor. My final grade was an A in statistics. This is coming from someone who earned a GED and dropped out in 8th grade. Prof Moore cares and wants you to succeed. The online class is open for math questions and help. Self-pace course. Uses ALEKS. Five Tests. He keeps the highest test score which is your final grade.

I took Prof. Moore for my online statistics class. All of the work is completed through ALEKS and the modules are quite long. You are graded by your 5 knowledge check tests and the highest grade is the final grade you have in the course.Pretty clear and straightforward, just soooo much homework.

Class is 100% thru ALEKS online and is work at your own pace. Professor holds live online classes once a week and goes over questions and helps with problems you're struggling with. He explains things very well and is willing to meet one on one outside of class.

Professory Moore ususes ALEKS which made the class extremely organized and what was expected of you clear. You work at your own pace, but do have an exam every two weeks totaling 4 quizes. Class isn't mandatory, but you have the option to drop in if you have any questions.

Prof. Moore was extremely helpful and easygoing. Your final grade is determined by your highest test grade out of 5 tests. Homework was easy and tests weren't too hard. I am a horrible test taker so I always got just below passing grade. Prof. Moore was kind and round my grade up to a C because I missed by 1%. I would definitely take him again!

Professor Dean has a teaching style that makes the class feel easy and approachable. He is also incredibly reasonable regarding assignments and deadlines, always considering our workload and offering flexibility. Outside of class, he is highly accessible, making time for students who have questions or need extra help.

Professor Moore's STA2023 class was a game-changer. The ALEKS system takes some getting used to, but with Unstuck AI for study prep, I aced the knowledge checks. Highly recommend this professor!

I got an A in STATS! I got C's in geometry, but this guy's amazing at teaching. Really fun, self paced, pop in to say hi for attendance. He records only lesson portions, you send in your own schoolwork problems to solve w/him. He missed one class, he didn't mention why yet, but he DID send in a sub to teach instead. Anyone else just cancels!

Professor Dean Moore is a phenomenal professor! (Math isn't my strong suit and I was nervous to take it, I thought I wouldn't pass) He uses an online system called ALEKS which is extremely easy to understand and breaks down even the hardest statistical concepts. If you are involved, punctual, and put in honest effort, you WILL 100% pass.

My class has been online, using a service called ALEKS for most of its learning, so I did not have many interactions with Professor Moore, but my few interactions with him were great! He clearly cares about his students and wants them to succeed, and is very quick to respond if you have any questions.

Professor Moore is the best math teacher!! He really tries to help you understand the equations if you don't get it. Ask questions if you have during lectures and he will gladly answer them! I hate math and he really made it easy for me to get. The class uses Aleks so don't get behind on that! Trust me!!! If you don't understand a topic, YouTube!

Although I do have my complaints about the ALEKS system, the professor is really great and accommodating! I would absolutely recommend him! I took him for MGF 1106. The course material is relatively easy, and I'm saying this as a person who isn't very strong in math! Take Professor Moore for sure! Genuinely great guy.

Prof. Moore made it so easy and comfortable. His syllabus was clear and concise with an amazing introduction to her class. His feedback was awesome and he really cares about his students and their success. He raised the bar on what I want out of a professor. If you have the option, absolutely choose her!

I suck at math, which is the reason I didn't get an amazing grade. Lectures are recorded, so attendance is not mandatory. 2 opportunities to complete the final; the lowest grade will be dropped. We were able to use 2 pages front and back for notes on the final exam, so take notes as you move through the course. Two hours of work due weekly.

Mr. Moore is. Great Professor! Probably one of the best professors I ever had! He is very knowledgeable and professional at his job. He is also very understanding is willing to help if you have any questions. All of the work is done in ALEKS, and it's at your own pace. I would definitely recommend this professor a hundred times!

Math is by far my hardest subject. I put this req off for the longest because I was honestly scared of failing. I had a lot going on during that semester and he couldn't have been more caring and understanding. Professor Moore's class uses Aleks, which I'm not a fan of, but he will help you with anything. If you're worried about math, TAKE HIM!

If you suck at math like me, take him!!! I've taken math 3 times and gotten C's but I took professor Moore and finally got an A. He used ALEKS which wasn't too bad as long as you actually study what you learn every week to retain it. Only one exam and it's ur final which only has 25 questions! I took his MGF1130.
