FUNNY!!!

Prof. Spelman is an awesome and understanding teacher. She makes the course fun rather than as boring as it could definitely be with other professors. If you have the choice, definitely take your class with her.

I took remedial (it's been a while) and was never interested in math - she explained everything very clearly, will spend 1-on-1 time with you, very patient, easy going (you can be late or miss classes). Just a great person all round, excellent professor.

Shes very nice, sweet, and cares for her students. She would help you with what ever you need help in. If you cannot learn in class then just buy the book ( not required ) and study it.

This professor is obviously a robot!! There is no way a human being can be so brilliant and so nice at the same time. She is awesome! I don't know if when we turn our backs she says we are annoying but infront our faces she treats us with respect and help in every way possible. I wish I had her for every class. This is my 3rd time taking this class and probably the FIRST time I will pass it. All becuase of Prof Spelman. She is tough on attendance and homework but will always go out of her way to stay after class to help or make extra office hours so I understand all the material. She has given me the confidence to pass this test.

She is an amazing woman. VERY helpful and will break things down until you understand them. She is very well spoken and loves to see her students succeed. I would recommend her to anyone. Just do the homework because it will totally help you in class and on the tests.

Spelman is a very good and extremely kind teacher, however she can get distracted quite easy. Nonetheless, she does everything she can to help you and pass you.

I am an adult returning student. I took this class instead of math thinking it would be easier WRONG! However Prof Spelman is an amazing teacher who never let me quit even though I tried. She was always willing to give extra help and teach me . She is smart , patient and kind, She is what every teacher at NCC should be like !

When I took this class, I was with the risk of getting thrown out of NCC. I wanted to quit college. I met Prof. Spelman, not only was she an amazing teacher, a caring person but she was a mentor to me. She encouraged me not to give up and to stay in school. Because Of her influence, I will be graduating this may with my Nursing Degree.

The best programming professor Ive eve had . I was in her CSC 104 class and she was excellent, very helpful and a very good grader. Highly recommend. I got an A , in her class.

Best teacher I have taken at NCC. Sweetheart and just wants you to succeed. Attendance is mandatory but if you email her as a heads up she is lenient about it.

I love prof Spelman! She was an amazing prof. She cares about her students and goes out of the way for them. This class isn't just an easy A you do have to work for it but prof Spelman makes it very easy. There are 3 exams and a lot of Labs. She will be there for you every step of the way. You will not regret taking her!! I would take her again!!

She is the whole package. She cares and wants you to succeed no matter how much trouble you are having. If you show effort she will show you respect to work with you. You can talk anything out with her. She is understanding and reasonable. My money paying for an educator like her is what I have been waiting for at this school. Great lectures. Loud!

The class isn't easy but trust she has your back. She goes out of her way to help you gain a better understanding of the assignments. Might be too uptempo for some. She's a great teacher and she wants you to pass.

She is the most caring professor I've ever had, very kind and will always answer you questions and help when you need it. It was easy to understand her teaching style and she's thorough and will go over things many times if the students need it. Do all the labs there is no other HW! Simple to pass if you do all of the work. It's not too much.

Spelman was amazing. She really cares about the class. The material is a little difficult but she's always there to help you out, and genuinely cares. It's easy to fall behind if you miss a lot of classes, so try to not be absent too much. Otherwise, the class was fun. We didn't use the textbook though so I wasted money. Anyways, would recommend.

Professor Spelman goes above and beyond when it comes to both teaching and taking care of students. There has been numerous times she has gone out of her way to help each individual succeed both in the classroom and out. When it comes to lectures and coursework Spelman makes all the course material understandable and exciting to learn. Recommended!

Online class. The work was a lot but it was easy and by no means is she a hard grader. She always sent lots of emails checking in. Id take her class again

Prof Spelman engages students and makes discussions interesting. I took her for ITE101 and she was more than excellent. I wish I can take you for my future subjects as well. She cares for her students and is very considerate. She will have lab works, homeworks, and exams. Pay attention in class and study during your free time and you'll pass.

Great class and super interesting subjects (Business Computing). Learned a lot. Keep in mind, there's a lot of homework. You must keep up with the weekly assignments. Plus, you have to complete assignments on MS Excel. They are time-consuming. Make sure you check the calendar with the due date of assignments under MyITLab.

I had Professor Spelman for math 013. it was my third time taking the class. She is an excellent teacher and I finally felt 100% confident and ready for the final exams. She is very clear and detailed in her lectures. She is very patient with students who struggle with math. If you need to take this course, take Professor Spelman

Ngl her class was a little on the boring side and felt slow at times, but she was a good professor and explained concepts well. She's very communicative with the class and will assist or alter things whenever necessary. Not a bad choice at all.

Yes, I think everyone should understand the importance of how making queries for databases can be a big help in finding specific data from tables.

One of the nicest ladies at Nassau, she is very kind, and understanding. She breaks down the course material if you don't understand it. She does make us do a lot of work, especially on mymathlabs. But thats okay with me because she is a great professor! I would love to take her again!

I took Professor Spelman for CMP 117 online With online classes communication is key. Professor Spelman promptly replied to my emails and even set up ZOOM sessions so we could meet and go over any questions I had. Its a tough class but Professor Spelman is there for you 100%. Would definitely recommend!! She wants her students to succeed.

Took this class before, finally going to pass the final exam! The class moves fast &covers a lot of stuff. Professor Spelman is caring &really wants her students to do well and succeed. She goes over topics if you don't understand &is always available to help. lectures are organized and clear. Definitely recommend her if you need this class.

Professor Spelman was fair and encouraging in a tough environment. The objectives were clear and announced. She offered extra help in the learning center, during office hours and through zoom sessions. Professor Spelman made the material seem easy and I would urge everyone who needs this class to look to see when she is teaching it.

I was in her asyn online course, and overall this is a course that carries a lottttt of material. HOWEVER, professor Spelman was so caring and understanding. I love Professor Spelman! She is so kind & caring. If you don't understand something, she will gladly take the time to help you. However, the amount of assignments & hw is a bit insane lol. There are about 6 things to do per chapter on Pearson (hw, simulations, & quizzes), as well as in-class assignments. DON'T SAVE THEM FOR THE LAST MINUTE!!!
