Never met a more incompetent and hateful person!

She is a miserable person to be around. She is very vicious (looks and personality!).

Very disorganized and unprofessional. Very evil and has poor people skills. She, ofcourse thinks that she is right- I don't understand HOW she sleeps at night. As one classmate said "she is gonna wake up one day in HELL!!!" I hope I never have to see her again EVER-

I would advise no one to take this professor unless she is the only professor offered. She moves entirely too fast and never gives you study guides for the test. You will have four test throughout the whole semester,a paper and a group project. She is not helpful at all. She isnt mean but can sometimes be rude.

Hello?!! Be prepared to answer that question everyday in class. She gives test very often. lectures are not helpful, she requires you to use her book and it sucks! She passed me with a C and I missed a test and did not do her project. if you work and study you will probably come out with a B but she is a bad teacher

This lady is definitely insane. She made us waste $100 0n a textbook that she wrote herself and we don't even use it. Don't take her or you will seriously fail. She doesn't give out test reviews like other teachers because she thinks that it's useless. Seeing her on Tuesdays and Thursdays kills my vibe. Ughhh she makes me want to just run a purge.

Do not take her. Just don't. eve if she is your last option just wait either until next semester or switch to another professor. She is the devil in the form of a human. Don't kill your GPA for her.

This has to be the worst professor at FAMU. She wrote her own book and chapters are insanely long. If you have to take psychology dont be like me and pick the class cause its the last left just take it another time with someone else. PLEASE!! All the test are online but its still hard to pass them i continue to get Ds and one C

This lady is the WORST professor I've EVER HAD! I thought by reading these other post I could handle her HA! WRONG!!! DO NOT TAKE HER! Be prepared for hard test, no study guides, and an attitude. I only passed with a B because we didn't have a final and she graded easily because everyone was failing. If you take her, GOOD LUCK!

I stressed about this class all semester! The tests are horrible and way too long. They are ridiculously long and hard. She did however, come through at the end with group projects and a paper to boosts the grades.

Dr. Burney is one of the worst professors that I've taken. From not answering questions that students have, to having an elitist attitude, and making condescending remarks, Dr. Burney is NOT helpful to her students.

Rude, elitist, doesn't lecture to her tests at all, gives time-consuming group projects/assignments with unclear instructions (and no rubrics), didn't grade anything until almost the end of the semester. Tests were difficult if they were in person and you didn't read the chapter at all, but most were online.

She isnt really clear on what she wants you to do

Tests literally every other week. Online, but timed and like 50-60 questions. I haven't received higher than a C on every single test this semester. We have class lectures and I get it completely, then the test comes and it's barely the info spoken of while in class or the book. Be prepared to make this class your priority.

One of the worse classes!! She makes you buy the book (which she wrote) she'll either lecture from there or say info that's neither in the book or the powerpoints. Catches an attitude when you ask to go back to previous slide or to slow down. She sometimes has no clue what she's talking about with directions. Relook your prof options!!

U are supposed to test after every 2 chapters she lectures on, but she wont post the test on time. Did not apply the extra credit you earn, wont correct the grades, gives 78 question test w/ 75 min, and wants you to do call & response like she's a pastor. test have content U never learn & holds class after time & takes off points if you leave.

This professor is terrible she does not know how to communicate effectively and she is a hard grader. I do not recommend her.

Should be avoided at all costs. If you see that she is the only professor available for the course, submit a transient request form and take elsewhere. She is very rude and condescending to students and gets frustrated when you ask questions. I took her in the summer for 4 week but she gives you six weeks worth of work. Does not respond to emails

Although we are in the middle of a Pandemic, I dont expect Professors to coddle their students. I DO expect them to do their job. Then theres Dr. Burney. She doesnt answer emails or answer questions clearly. Do not expect grades on time. She is condescending. She seems like a nice lady but lacks in this field. If you can, find someone else.

She is very unorganized and just talks or repeats herself multiple times. Also Is VERY difficult to contact and will not like when you ask her of a mistake she has made. During online time she is very fast and the textbook she wants you to buy is helpful not needed bc the PowerPoint is word for word of the textbook. Very snarky and shady

SHE SHOULD BE FIRED! lectures heavy and very unclear. She tests HEAVY and most of the questions we never even learned. Her tests are super lengthy & timed. You only get 75 minutes to answer 78 questions. She barely assigns assignments so your test grades make up most of your grade. I highly would not recommend. Id be surprised if I get a C.

This class is very lecture heavy, she half reads the slides and half goes off the slide and doesn't give us enough time to copy down what she is saying. We went through 6 chapters within the first 3 weeks of our summer semester, I don't know if that's normal or not. Her tests make up most of the grade and they're 60-80 questions with only 75 mins.

DO NOT WAIT TO REGISTER FOR CLASSES! If she is the last one left GOOD LUCK. There is a test after every two chapters. Most of the questions she never discussed with us. Her test are bout 78 questions you barely get an hour to finish. There's not any regular assignments most grades comes from the test. I do NOT recommend her not even a little.

Do not take this class! She doesn't care that you can't hear her when she breaks up on zoom, she doesn't like being asked questions, and if she does answer its not thorough. Doesn't matter how much you study, YOU WILL STRUGGLE on her tests.... if there was another professor I would take them!!!!

Tests are VERY long & dont match info from notes or her textbook. The only way to contact her outside of class is by email but she doesnt respond. Had assignments due the first week of class and they still arent graded and (next week is the last week of the semester). Forgot to post the tests a lot. Good luck if you get stuck in this class

Dr. Burney is a very nice lady, but at times she can be very passive-aggressive, rude, and tends to ignore questions during lectures. She makes students buy the textbook that she wrote so test information comes straight from the book but tends to not be highlighted in the text. I would personally not recommend taking her class online.

This is an intro to psych class and we were averaging C's on her tests because she wouldnt pull test questions from the book or our lectures. Tells you that her book is mandatory but it isnt helpful. She is very passive aggressive & sometimes just starts being rude. She is just a terrible teacher, no reason that there were 0 A's in an intro class

if you choose to take this prof, don't expect her to ever reply to your emails. our ONLY assignments were extremely hard, WEEKLY tests with 75+ questions and hardly enough time. you'd be lucky to get an 80 on them. all she does is lecture in a very boring tone for 2 hours. she tries to make you buy the book she wrote but we didn't use it.

one of the worst professors ive ever had in my life. does not answer questions clearly, vague assignments, long research assignment that she barely explained, quizzes dont cover the book, will purposefully misunderstand you. she is lenient but id rather an attentive and reasonable professor than a lenient one. her rating speaks for itself.

Just dont, 88 people cant be lyint. Im pretty sure all of her assignments are copy and pasted from somewhere bc she never seems to know how to answer questions about the work she assigns. Just avoid her if you can, especially for an online class.

This instructor was awful. Communication throughout this semester was terrible and the instructions were very unclear. When asked for clarity she got an attitude and did not want to help. After being asked questions because the instructions and assignments were very unclear she got a horrible attitude. Graded and made everything due last minute.

Does not respond to emails. Grades assignments at the end of the term. Quizzes w/ essay questions are not graded. 12 Page Term Paper. 10 minute video presentation. Harsh grading. Timed quizzes using a LockDown Browser. Does a lot of copy and paste into Canvas w/o proof reading. Assignment due dates are not posted timely. Poor time management.

She is very unorganized and does not email back. She waits until the end of the semester to grade all work and an come off extremely snappy when asked questions via email.

DO NOT TAKE HER CLASSES ONLINE! She does not respond to emails and after a few weeks when she does finally respond she will be extremely rude. She is not clear on instructions in the syllabus, I wish I would have known during add/drop that she was so horrible because I ended up having to withdraw. Waits to grade until end of semester.

I have not even completed the semester yet, and i just wanted to say that she is by far the WORST professor I have ever had. She uses a completely different textbook than the one given on the syllabus, she is unorganized and extends no help. She is passive aggressive and refuses to take accountability for her own mistakes. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!
