I loved this class, I learned so much. Her final project was kind of annoying to do, but it was easy nonetheless. She was very knowledgable about the subject. My favorite class and professor in school so far!

Deb is AWESOME! She is a very tough teacher, but if you work hard (which you should!) you will be rewarded. She has the class play jeopardy to review for the tests, which is a lot of fun and very helpful. I would recommend both intro psych and adult development with Deb. I learned more than I thought I would, and she is a very passionate person.

she is sooo easy! just go to class and listen to what she says. she will tell you almost everything that is on the test and explains everything very well. there is also a lot of group work and the group that finishes their ?'s first gets extra credit and for review for the tests you play jeperdy and what ever team wins gets extra credit!

Best class I ever had. Basically you got out of it what you put into it. She was extremly organized, knowledgeable and responded to my emails within 1 day. On a scale of 1 - 10 I would rate her an 11!!

Dr. Matchinsky is very knowledgeable about her subject, bringing a vast array of experience with her into the class room. She is clear and organized. She is one of the most fair professors I have ever encountered. It is possible to do very well in her class by paying close attention, doing all the homework and studying the text in depth.

Yah, she's knowledgable but thinks she's all that. She's smiley and friendly in class but will act like she knows you not in the hallways. Gives options for extra credit but you don't even need that extra push. Her stuff is really easy. Ofcourse "easy" is an equivocal statement.

She's a great teacher. Her lectures are clear and organized. She's a little strict about mundane details, such as having homework typed and initialing your own name on the grade sheet and extra credit sheets. She gives a lot of opportunities for extra credit. Her tests are extremely easy. For review, we play a game of jeopardy.

The book is just a reference and all the notes make up her test. Her reviews are hard but the questions asked are usually on the test. Great teacher!

Her grading sucks! And since when are you able to take extra credit points away from students if they do poorly on an assignment? I thought that was the Idea of extra credit to help if if you screw up on something.

She was a wonderful teacher minus the fact that she cancelled our class about 5-6 times during the semester and still testing us on the material that was supposed to be taught on those days that she missed.

Wonderful professor...loves her subject. Overall she expects a high level of personal competency/involvement/motivation, but isn't that the way it should be? I learned a lot. By far one of the greatest at NHCC! You WILL learn interesting and useful knowledge in this course. Also, if you simply do all the readings and complete all your assignments on time, you will earn the grade that you deserve. I highly recommend this class to everyone.

Summer class, so any condensed class is a little tough. Assignments were helpful and the structure of groups and her lectures were very interesting. Number 1 teach for Psychology at NH, pick this one when signing up. I got an A and I'm a smart gal, but you need to listen to her and do what she says and you will get the grade you deserve too!

Read the text book. The tests are hard, but you will do fine if you study. I took this class in the summer, and it was a lot of info to learn in 5 short weeks. I do recommend her though, especially if you are taking this class in a regular sesson.

I think her class is very easy to get A if u read the text book. Of course all the classes are like that but really if u read the text I'm sure u will understand! Come to class every day is important! BE THERE!

If you want a good grade attendance and reading are critical. Always read, ask questions, come prepared. Watch out for her mood! Especially on the first day! This is the 2nd class I've had with her. She has been really mean the first 2 weeks both times...but then she relaxes. Great prof when her mood is o.k. Very passionate and bright.

Took Psych 101 with her last summer, & now taking Abnormal with her. This course has few lectures (bummer)- advice to students: take her (!!!), but take the class seriously. This is college, so don't whine about your grade when you weren't paying attention to her instructions. People who seem to think she's "crabby" don't know how to read people.

Definitely not an easy class by any means and I have a lot of psychology knowledge. She's very strict, by the book, and unforgiving. Don't bother having any excuses, she wont listen to them. She can also be incredible abrasive and rude. She is helpful though and really does want her students to succeed. You just have to work for a good grade.

She will make you work your butt off. But in the end it's helpful because she teaches various way so you can learn it one way or another. She is by far the greatest teacher that I have who has kept me on my toes. But she does ome off rude from time to time. Just don't get on her bad side. Overall a very good teacher and she knows her stuff.

Overall, she is a good instructor at heart. She can be impatient at times (as can we all), but as students we can overlook this. I found that when I ended up "butting heads" with her, our relationship improved. I took her for two courses and enjoyed both of them, but expect HARD work. She will make you work, believe me.

Last time I took a psych class I failed out of it because the subject and teacher were horrible. This time around, I was so fortunate to have Dr.M as my teacher. She gives you a lot of resources to succeed. The only way to not do well in the class is to not try and not do the work. I wish she taught more classes. She is amazing!

Dr. M is an incredible instructor. I took her sourse on-line and was appreciated the resources she had available. She took the time to answer questions and is very fair. There were a number of assignments and all had due dates; don't wait until the last minute to do them and you will do fine.

I took this class with her awhile ago, my first online class. I've realized now that her organization and set up is uncommon for some online teachers. She made sure that we had many opportunities to learn the information (powerpoints, text book, online simulations, web links, etc). Initially it was overwhelming but in the end it was great!

I felt Deb was a great teacher. I learned alot in her Psychology class. She is tough. You need to do the work. Great teacher. She makes the tests and the online reviews herself, so they are, literally, word for word. Just study the reviews and listen to what she says in the class and you get an A+. Very easy, very informational, very helpful, great teacher and great class overall.

Her syllabus is intimidating and the organization is confusing at first, but once I got it all down I appreciated the organization and all the learning tools - interactive tutorial, lesson plans (extremely helpful and in some cases were used in place of reading the chapters) and online video lectures. Very hard class to take in Summer because of the amount of work so try to take this another semester. She is very nice and helpful if you can work ahead. Do the practice quiz's first they do help. BECAREFUL on the internet is copies of her assignments and she will give you a 0 you if you use anything from those. Be smart do the work on your own.

Took online class, syllabus was indeed intimidating. Class got easy once you start the hw. One thing I dislike though, we all do hw n tests at a different pace, if you finished the timed hw less then 10 min-she says you're cheating, if over 10 mins-she says you're not ready for the exam so she will not open the review quizzes/exams until you are.

This is a very straightforward class. Read the lessons and do homework, show up for class, and take the online practice quizzes then take the tests. The first day might be overwhelming but give it a couple of weeks then it'll start to sink in for you and the class will be super easy. Be diligent and you should pass with flying colors.

She's very particular of how she wants her assignments and what they'll look like. So do what she says and how she wants it done. Plain and simple. Very difficult grader! I had her for Abnormal Psych and it was one of the toughest classes I've ever taken, even after transferring. You adjust to the amount of work throughout the semester and it ends well. She teaches you how to find scholarly articles and use them properly. 2 years later I still use some of the research strategies she taught.

I enjoyed her class a lot, I learned a lot and she was very helpful. She does whatever she can to help the students even though she may assign quite some reading and homework. But you're given the entire syllabus of all assignments at the beginning so you should know what to expect. Some group work throughout the year, but not terrible.

Dr. Matchinsky is a great professor all-around! Her syllabus covered everything you needed to know and gave clear directives regarding expectations. She provided a very detailed schedule of assignments that had to be completed at set deadlines, which I appreciated as it made you feel more prepared for the exams and bigger assignments.
