Deb Poole is not trying to psychoanalyze anyone. She is an experimental psychologist. For those who don't know, they don't even do psychoanalysis.

Interesting, fun, energetic, nice lady!

Deb Poole is a wonderful UP course teacher. Very clear on what you need to know, loves her job and tries to make the class fun. The only reason you wouldn't like her as a professor is if you have absolutely no interest in psychology.

Deb is an awesome teacher. She teaches in a very human way, and she is always helpful if you go to her. She tells you exactly what she expects of you on tests, and will let you debate something you don't agree with. Her lectures are entertaining.

Great lectures. NO EXAM the grades were based on quizes each week. and theres opportunities for extra credit.

This class is pretty easy and Prof Poole is a great teacher, there's a test every week so if you have attendance issues don't take because you need to be there to get the material, the two worst test grades are dropped.. really good class, overall.

this is the easiest class ever... you learn a lot but she doesn't make the exams too hard... if you plan it right you can skip the last 2 weeks of class!

If your looking for a psychology teacher take Deb! She is very clear about what will and will not be on the test and gives you the exam questions ahead of time. Mondays are more fun days and Wednesday is exam review day. Exams are every friday, but the two lowest scores are dropped. Excellent Class

Awesome teacher, very clear on what will be on quizzes. No final for the class. All you have to do is show up, take notes, and look over the chapters before the quizzes and this class will be no problem. Definetly take Deb!

Dr. Poole is awesome. Her class is upbeat and energetic. If you have any questions she will be there all the time to answer them. You have to study in order to get an A on her quizzes, but if you come to class you should do fine. Take this class with her, she is great!

Easy class. She explains the material really well. Hell she TELLS you what the 2 essay questions will be on the exam that week.

Deb is super awesome, her class is set up to put as little stress on the students as possible, all you do is go to two short lectures a week and have a 20 pt. quiz. If you show up you and pay some type of attention you will do fine. I would encourage anyone to take Deb, shes great.

Deb is easily the best prof I've had at CMU. Her class is kind of on the teach it yourself basis with lecturing on the important concepts. Do the sample questions in the study guide because at least 5 of them will be on the tests. Easy A if you can handle the style of class.

Deb is by FAR the best prof I've had yet! She's very clear about assignments, flexible, and easy to work with. Not only that, but her lectures are honestly interesting and you're never bored. Awesome class set up, told you everything that was on the tests, you really have to know what you are talking about when answering essay questions. No final exam. Made it very easy to pass the class. Really taught you psychology unstead of reading it out of book.

The lectures are usually interesting and Deb is really helpful with going beyond the book. Be sure to at least read the chapter summarys because most of the points on the test come from the chapters but the essays come from the lectures

Deb is great! she's really nice and has a weird sense of humor. she gives notes on mon and wed and you take a 20 pt quiz every friday, no accumilitive tests, no final exam. Good prof, but large lectures are hard to stay awake in (at least for me). Really made the material interesting and did a great job relating. Knows the psychology behind how people learn so she is really affective as an educator.

Deb is the best professor I've ever had at CMU. She is amazingly intelligent and really knows what she's talking about. I found her lectures to be informative and interesting, and she always gives you the essay topics for the weekly quizzes in advance. If you read the book and attend class at least once a week, you'll get an easy A.

She is so nice. I struggled in the class, but really no one should. She tries to make it as easy as possible, tells you the essay questions (only have to know 2 or 3) and is very straightforward. I recommend her to everyone. She trys to help everyone and takes the time to sit and explain things to you.

basically you have to go to class. not exactly all of the notes are needed to pass the weekly quizes. NEED THE BOOK. definately get it and study the TERMS and read the chapters youre learning and youll do fine. she makes the class enjoyable.

Loved Deb as an instructor! it is a college level class, but she makes the lectures very interesting. There's a quiz every Friday, but she goes through the essay q's on Weds. My advice is to read the summary of every chapter- that's usually where the focus is.

Deb is probably one of the best professors that you will ever have. She doesn't believe in busy work, and she puts everything that is going to be on the exam on her worksheet. She is also very nice, and cares about her profession. As long as read the text book, you will love her class. It should be an easy A.

Deb is seriously great! She is my favorite professor I've had so far. She is incredibly interesting, knows all of her stuff, makes class super interesting, lectures are actually fun, there are fairly short quizzes every friday, but they're pretty easy to ace. Great professor, uses demos and lectures to help expand your knowledge of the text. Friendly personality simple and easy to ask questions about upcoming tests or general questions about the text. (Have to read to succeed in this class)

Deb is the best teacher i've ever had! Just go to class because alot of test questions come out of case studies she will talk about. Very one on one with students, and willing to help with nearly anything. Deb brings in snacks, talks about interesting topics and is the best ever!

If you do the readings and go to class, this class is very easy. There are quizzes every Friday with 14 multiple choice questions and 2 essays. She tells you the essay questions and exactly what to say. She really thinks about college students and lets you miss about four weeks of class, if you so choose and still get an A. She's great.

Deb is an amazing professor. She will do anything to make sure that you understand the material. Quizzes are once a week, and it's a very easy pattern to get used to. She has a quirky personality but is extremely helpful. It's not a class that I am bored in. Take Deb if you're taking PSY 100 for a UP, especially if you're not into psych.

She is a great teacher! She explains the topic in a way that is easy to understand. Deb also tries to make class interesting and she is very nice/helpful. You really do need the book and study guide for this class though, most of what's on the weekly tests is from them.

Class kind of sucks becuase it is geared toward teaching freshmen how to study so you have to use the study guide, lecture, and text book. Almost all points come from the weekly exams. Nice prof though, very clear on what she grades.

Deb is awesome. Her class was my easiest A other than ASL. She tells you exactly what is on the test, and is entertaining. She loves to help students out, so don't be shy about questions. HOWEVER: Don't take her class if you don't study. You HAVE to read the chapter in the book to get answers right.

This Class is easy if you put a little effort in to it. The professor will give you a quiz a week that is 16 multiple choice questions and 2 short answers that she gives to you the class before. this class is enjoyable to, i recommend that you take it.

This class was interesting and well worth the money. Deb is passionate about what she teaches. Her study skills she taught eventually helped me in other classes at CMU. She is a great professor. You MUST READ THE BOOK, THE EXAMS COME STRAIGHT FROM notes and the book, MOSTLY THE BOOK. If you put in effort an "A" is reachable.

Purchase or borrow the Study guide book!!! She gets most of her test questions from the quizzes in the study guide.

Great professor! Very nice, funny, caring, and relatively easy. Although you have a quiz every friday, so you have to read the chapters or at least go over the study guide to pass. Deb is an awesome lady-she sets up the course so it is the same every week with little to no surprises! I used the text book only a few times to review for important quizzes but the study guide does help! Also be sure to do the SONA credits-they are really easy!

Deb loves her job, and it shows! She has so much insight into the subject, and she keeps the class interesting. We only had to write one short paper, but we did have to take a quiz every Friday.

For being in a huge lecture, Deb kept the class super interested. She really knows what she's doing. Your grade almost depends entirely on test scores. You absolutely need the textbook. If you go to class and write down essay questions, and take notes on each chapter and thoroughly read, you will EASILY pass the class. Awesome prof!!!

Best teacher I have ever had! Theres no way not to pass her class. She explains everything clearly so that students understand the material. She's super friendly and approachable so if you have a question shed love to help you better understand it. Even if you just want to talk to her shed love to do that as well.

Deb obviously loves Psychology and is very experienced and knowing about all the topics. I never once opened the textbook. Going to class is a must. Each lecture pretty much directly translates to the tests, which make up pretty much your entire grade. Her notes can be messy though. She gives a lot of help during tests, be sure to utilize it!

Poole is an amazing lady. She makes lectures funny and she is very passionate. Although reading the chapter is necessary the tests are easy and she gives you the essay questions in class for preparation. There are weekly exams over one chapter at a time and no final. Easy if you do the reading.

I love this professor! She has such a passion and is great at teaching. Deb gives you all the materials you need to succeed but you also need to make the effort to learn. She's the nicest and is super keen to help you learn. Ask questions if you're struggling and she will help you.

Your grade is based off of quizzes you have every Monday. she drops your lowest two scores and also allows up to 4 points extra credit. She is one of the nicest professors I have had and would recommend to take her class because she is so passionate about her students and the material she teaches. i have learned a lot from her.

Deb is one of my favorite professors. Super easy to get an A in this class but you will need to go to lectures because there's two "short answer" questions on each quiz and they're usually based off lecture. The rest of the quiz is 14 questions based off of the book and study guide. If you do the study guide and go to class you'll get an A.

Deb is amazing! Class is designed to be low stress, she helps you learn how to do well, and she is an awesome lecturer. You do fun activities in class. There is a lot of mercy when it comes to grading. She drops some exam scores, gives extra credit, and she makes her tests easier. TAKE DEB'S CLASS

Deb was always willing to meet 1:1 with her students outside of class, and wanted to help in anyway she could. She also does interesting lectures, even though they don't relate to exams in anyway. For an honors class, she expects her students to know the material, so she doesn't really go over it. If you pay attention, you'll be fine!

You know what the essay question before each test, which is worth 30% of each exam. The thing even with that the class is averaging a 70% on almost every test. Most of the question are from the book so make sure you read, but in all she is a great prof, very interesting,

Favorite professor by far!

She weird but the class was very fair. She takes pics of people on their phones. Textbook was free. Exams every other week with essay questions and multiple choice. You know the essay questions in advance. The class was very easy if you study. The only "help" she offers is to tell u to study more but she has a method that helps you retain info.

Deb is a great professor, she really cares and it shows. She is a little strange but it makes the class a lot more fun! She takes pictures of people on their phones so watch out. Deb is an ANGEL. She's easily the best professor I've ever had at CMU, and she genuinely cares about her students. I was in her honors section of PSY220, and she meets up with everyone individually to get to know them, and find opportunities within their major! Don't miss class, and read the textbook! If you do, you'll get an A. HIGHLY recommend :)
