Debbie is the best teacher that I've ever had. For anyone to say that she is not a good teacher, you gotta be out of your mind. She goes out her way to make sure everyone succeeds in her class. If you do poorly on a test, she gives you some extra credit stuff to do to up the grade. Not many teachers do that.

Debbie is the best professor I've ever had, and I've been taking classes for 10 years. She tries to keep a somewhat boring subect interesting by using current events. She I usually late for class, but she always stayed if you needed extra help. I can't say enough good things about her A++++

Some reviews say she "wastes" time in current events,but from them I learned the most on how Economics affect us in everyday life and it helps put big theory words into practice. She's a great teacher who keeps the class interesting. She'll practically give you the answers during the tests and she does anything she can to make sure you do well in her class. She's a really nice person but I really disliked her class. The first hour she just talks about stuff. The last hour and 45 we finally get down to business. Although sometimes we have to rush. So for someone who likes to get down to business I def don't recommend. Otherwise she's pretty kool and her test are easy.

Debbie is a great woman but I have to be honest and say that she is not the best teacher in that she talks too much about current events. Don't get me wrong I read the newspaper and such but she speeds too much through the material and her PowerPoints. Make sure to test with her in the class and never take it in CAR she will coach you through to get the right answer. Don't bother reading the book, it doesn't help one bit, actually it might be more confusing.

She's awesome. You've got to do your work. I was in the front of the class listening to music on my laptop and received a high mark. It was rude, but you don't need to listen. Just do the work. Kinda listen. She goes on rambling about her personal life and is straight up from staten island/long island cause of her accent.

Took her online class during summer 2013. Good teacher. She was helpful with any questions you had. One of the best teachers I had. Only problem had with her was that she took for ever to grade your papers you had to do. The papers were about a paragraph or two long.

I cant beleve nebody culd say she is a bad teacher She uses current events to tie what we learn to everyday day issues, you can always be late n it wont matter, she simplifies everything down to elmnty level stuff and goes over it 100x 2 make sure u get it. she reviews before the tests n if ur not ready u can do testing center. She's a great teacher but she DOES spend like 2/3 of the class on current events. Then she reviews the last weeks lesson before cramming in the new lesson. That being said, it's the easiest class you can take and she is a really sweet woman. take her for an easy A!

Best Economics class i ever took.

Professor Meyer is the best economic teacher. Although her class is somewhat boring and long, the test and homework is very easy. Also, she is very helpful and kind person.

Took this class online: 3 discussion posts, 3 internet assignments, 3 current events, and 3 online exams (NOT at the testing center). The only way to not pass this class is if you do not do any work at all. Multiple chances to get your grade up. Kind of slow with grading assignments, but other than that, it's definitely a doable online class.

Easily the best college professor I have had so far. I got an A+ on every test and project. She gives a ton of extra credit and provides online quizzes before the test that have all the test questions imbedded in them. I highly recommend her for anyone who is trying to learn economics and stay interested throughout the course.

She's nice and all, but I felt like I was in high school again. If I said one thing to another class mate, she would go up to us and lecture us in front of the whole class. Overall though, she's a good professor and cares about your grade. There's online quizzes that really help so I highly recommend doing them.

Very nice woman. Subject matter isn't easy, a lot of graphs and other "math" she will help you get the grade you deserve if you try. Lectures go past the end of class every time by 5-10 mins. The book was written by her. Has a good sense of humor at times.

Very nice person but I feel like half the time I wasted my time going to that class. The only teaching that took place was during like the last 30 minutes, the rest of the time was just discussions about current events. The online quizzes were very helpful but I feel like most of the time you had to teach yourself.

For an online class, the professor's responsiveness to email matters. Professor Meyer was awesome in this regard! In addition, I found several of the test questions to have multiple applicable answers and Prof. Meyer always considered my point of view.

I've never had a professor that was as concerned about her student's success as Professor Meyer. She gives you every opportunity to improve your grade and always answers your questions without rushing you.

As long as your read and do the assignments, you'll get an A. (Make sure you hit the deadline though!) You have 3 chances for quizzes and 2 chances for tests.

She cares about her students and them passing. Asks how you are. Gives help during the tests and extra credit. Helpful study guides. DO THE ONLINE quizzes, they're so helpful.

She talks about current events for the first hour which can be annoying but good to learn about bc i dont have time to watch the new. 3 tests, homework (super easy the answer r in book), online quiz questions are on the test. Dont buy textbook just the workbook. Extra credit is given. Just show up and study and u'll pass

Professor Meyer is so awesome! She made my first semester/ my Mondays so much more bearable. She teaches current events for the beginning of the class and I learnt a lot. She keeps the class interesting and tells you what to study for the exam. Love her! Can't wait to take her for Micro!

Prof. Meyer was one of the nicest professors I've had at brookdale so far. She's caring, nice, funny and an overall good person. She offers SO MUCH extra credit so it would be almost impossible to fail the class. I should have earned a B but ended up getting an A+ with extra credit. Tests are right off the study guide and the occasional HW.

One of the best teachers I have had at Brookdale. This class you cant study the night before you have to pace yourself . The tests are huge you want to make sure you pass them all since they are 85% of your grade. Many of my class mates got an A because she lays out everything you need to know. If you are a slacker I would not take her... (STUDY)

Professor Meyer is a very caring professor, she wishes for all of her students to exceed. I loved coming to class because she opens the lecture with current business news and trends! She comes to class prepared and teaches at a moderate pace so everyone throughly learns the material! She's very funny too!

The structure of this class is really simple and she makes incredibly hard to fail. 3 units, each unit has a discussion, an internet assignment, a current event, self-quizzes, and an exam. You get multiple chances for each quiz and exam. However, note that it isn't week-by-week course. You could have 2+ things due within a few days of each other!

Probably one of the nicest, most student oriented human beings on the planet. She will sit with students for HOURS after class to help them understand the material. The class was pretty easy and the work was kind of tedious. The grading criteria is super clear and she literally tells you what is going to be on the test. TAKE THE PRACTICE QUIZES

Personally, I wish I knew how much math was involved before taking the class, I personally struggled with that. (online class) I thought I would like her more from these ratings. She's nice, really smart but I didn't find her class all that easy. Had to read the textbook for a quiz each week. 3 unit exams ..2 papers and a discussion post per unit. You use the same textbook for Macro and Micro. You need it, even if you take different professors.

It is clear that Professor Meyer loves what she does, and is fully committed to her students. Very understanding, compassionate, and kind. Definitely take her class if you have to take economics. I would love to have another class with her. She is always willing to be available for extra help, and will take time to help you.

Prof. Meyer used to come into my Econ 105 class every week, she was so sweet I knew I wanted to take her for Econ 106. Econ itself is tricky but she tries her best to explain it well. The assignments she gives are good grade boosters. The weekly quizzes prepare you very well for the tests. She uses the same questions for both. Overall, great class.
