Debbie rocks!! She's got a great attitude. She DOES NOT assume you know anything- therefore teaches you step-by-step at a very good pace! She's very clear! keep up with homework youll be fine!!

Average instructor. Lectures by reading the notes provided by the author. Quiz and assignments are ok, but exams are bit hard.

She explains material very well, but it's too much to do cuz you get assmt almost twice a week and some of them are very long, but tests are easy and final wasn't too hard at all as long as u did all the assmts and if u understand it u'll be just fine

Debbie is very helpful, patient and explains things very well. Uses powerpoint and the text as well as in class homework. The only "negative" was that she did not use the web, for example to post answers to in class questions. An excellent teacher, was sorry I couldn't get her for the second half of the course.

I thought this was an easy course. Got good marks for both midterms HOWEVER, the final exam was much harder compare to the midterms. The questions were tricky..... but If you can do all the questions from her notes then you should be successed. Her notes r really helpful and I never read the textbook.

I had Debbie for both ACCT 3320 and ACCT 3420. She is an excellent instructor, and is very willing to provide extra assistance IF you do your work. Don't show up for help, not having attempted the questions on your own first. At this level, you should be doing this already. I highly recommend Debbie for any accounting class.

She is an excellent Pro if you do your work ahead of class. You will be fine. Especially for an ESL student, if you are well-prepared, you will find she is an excellent teacher.^^~

She is pleasant and the pace of class is perfect. I understood every concept she presented and will most certainly get an A+ in this class. I would take all my acct classes with her if I could!

nice teacher; what you need to do is showing up and listening to her lecture. If you want to get good marks, do every exercises she suggested and make sure that you really understand not just memorize them.

Even though it is not worth marks, do the homework she assigns in class because it will be on the test just a little bit different. Its an easy class and shes pretty funny!

there is a lot of work for the class and it can be tedious but its accounting so it should be expected. she is clear with examples and homework and marking is fair

I took Debbie for intro and cost and she is awesome, I don't understand these people's ratings, she goes over questions the entire class - if you attend there is very little outside of class studying done - just do the homework (even though it's not collected) and you will excel!

The problems of midterms and final are negotiable! And there are bonus oppotunities.

She's got her pros and cons. Debbie's a very nice and friendly lady, but her lectures move along quite quickly and it's easy to get a bit lost. She tries her best to help students understand material. She's a bit of a picky marker (I've lost a whole letter grade because of tiny details) and her exams can catch you off guard.

Great Prof. If you are coming to class and do your homework you can easily pass this course. Exams aren't hard as long as you make some effort to study.

Great Prof. Attend class ans do your homework you are guaranteed to past this course. Exams are very straight forward, so if you don't study lower your expectations. Overall I enjoyed 2 great semesters with her.

Debbie is the best accounting teacher in all of kwantlen! trust me i know what im talking about cuase im a 3rd year acct student & most acct don't give a crap & pretty much hate their jobs. Debbie has quizzes that keeps u on u're toes and forces you to keep up no way u will get a bad mark if you keep up! i also did ACCt 2293 with her and got a B.

I took the online version of this class. If you do all of her weekly assignments and the quizes, you'll have no problem getting at least a B+. The difficulty of exams are no where near that of the quizes. I went in to write the exams with little confidence each time and managed to get an A.

Debbie is the bomb! haha. She relates accounting with her funny real-life stories. I'm taking an online version of this class next term just because her class is already full. If it wasn't, I would totally spend another term with her. Bottom line: STUDY. :)and email her if you have questions. She does her best to help you!

SHES THE BESTTTTT, she replies to emails so fast, SO easy to approach, covers all material very well, sometimes she would give bonus marks and full marks on quizzes, TAKE HER !! you wont regret it :)

Very friendly and helpful teacher who provides enough practice material and resources to thoroughly understand the course. Being 3320, effort has to be made to do well. On the other hand I feel she takes too long to marks exams and such. besides that, i think she's a fantastic teacher and a very friendly person.

Debbie is a great teacher and person. Do the homework, review before class and treat your prof with the respect they deserve and you will do well and learn lots!

She has in class quizes, wileyHW and hand in quizes all worth 10% so you have a lot of room for error and lots of practice. She marks ok for midterms not super easy but shes not super hard. Just pay attention in her class and show that you want to learn.

Great instructor, gives part marks for exam questions for calculation errors, etc. WileyPlus homework and 3 at home quizzes are basically mark boosters as the quizzes are out of 10 based on completion (not accuracy). Tells you exactly what needs to be reviewed before each exam and teaches the material in the simplest way possible. Would take again!

Debbie is a great professor. Class lectures are very well done, and very informative. Give previews of key points that will be on exams, which is very helpful. Debbie is also always available to help. Exams are exactly like recommended practice problems and in class problems. Would definitely take Debbie for accounting courses in the future.

powerpoints, ex/problems help but sometimes there are mistakes in them she is very slow with posting marks. a week should be the max amount of time for marking. doesn't post the details of the exam until a week before it should be posted 2 weeks in adv since its an online course her exams are like the ex/problems some q r a bit tricky

Debbie is a great proff i really liked her, but her exams are very hard ! She does her best to give you good feedback and gives lots of homework which helps with the course! If students do well on the first midterm she makes the remaining exams extremely hard. I would take her again, but be prepared to study hard

Really nice and gives good explanations with examples she does in class, I was glad I choose her for the class because she made everything simple. I found her exams were not hard at all as long as you studied what she told you to. If you do the homework and pay attention, you will be more than fine. Also good with giving marks if you understand

Debbie was a really good accounting prof. She's clear and easy to understand, plus her sense of humor is pretty great. It's not the easiest class ever but Debbie doesn't make it too hard. Uses WileyPlus. As long as you study it really wont be that bad. Definitely recommend Debbie

Her lectures are very clear and easy to follow, she does several example problems on the board each class and is very receptive to questions. It can be a tough class, but if you do the homework (but there is a lot) you will be well practiced for the quizzes and tests. If you don't do well, it's not Debbie's fault

Debbie is one of the best accounting professor in KPU. She gets boring sometimes but only if you don't listen to her. She explains the stuff very clearly and care for you that you get marks. Her slides are really helpful. She does not go off topic. All in all Debbie is a really nice professor.

I have taken a few acct classes with Debbie and I have to say that she's one of the best at KPU. The powerpoint notes she provides are very clear and helpful. Lots of hw but the quizzes will help you do well in the exams. However, the Connect hw was pretty useless and very time consuming. Take if you have the time to put into the course!

This is a difficult class. If you take it with Debbie, do every question you can find while studying (class examples, practice homework questions, and assignment questions) and you will be fine. Be prepared to spend a lot of time on these questions or you won't pass. There are some curveballs on the exams but not enough to make you fail.

Debbie explains concepts and encourages questions. Promptly replies to emails. Do the Wiley assignments and her practice assignments before midterms and final and you will be fine. Gives part marks on answers that require problem-solving. Very approachable. She put bonus questions on tests and bonus marks if you go to learning centre reviews.

Debbie care about her students. She gives out bonus marks to students for attending the online centre learning reviews. She replies very fast via email (even on weekends) and gives out plenty of practice exams and questions. Put in a decent amount of work and you will get a good grade.

She goes very slowly through her lectures giving you plenty of time to grasp the concept, however it can make the lectures quite boring if you already do understand well. Taking it online gave me the ability to go back and re-watch her lectures at 1.5 or 2x speed. She has 1 midterm that she only gives 40 minutes for and it's very stressful.

Debbie is great and gave us a cheat sheet for final in-person even- attend the workshop cause they teach u similar to exam; kinda hard to follow since it's fast tho - like it's not her fault KPU needs to fix the whole all ACCT classes finals worth 50% cause if you're in the 90's and don't do well on the final an a+ can turn into a b its horrifying

I found Debbie very helpful and caring prof.She is an excellent resource and provides so many resources to go over. She responds to the emails on time and is always ready to help students. This course itself is hard and requires 3-4 hours a week beside the class timing, in class examples and assignments helps a lot.

She is a very nice professor. Always taking opinions on how students can easily do the exams. She wants u to succeed and provides alot of resources. Exams are related to what she tells u to practice. She lists all topics that will be tested for problems seperately and for theory only. Loved her.

I enjoyed her class, she's always willing to help you understand the concepts and formula. She responds to emails quickly. The final exam was 50% of grade but if you do well, you'll pass. I'd take her class again for future accounting courses.
