Worst english class I ever had. She didn't explain anything and made all of these ridiculous assignments that only hurt our grades. No one ever showed up for class. The class has so much work that comes with it, it takes up all of your time!!!!

Was unclear with assignments and refused to clarify what was required for class. No assignments were given back in a timely manner to discuss current grade and only received three assignments back from eight required in class.

I hate her and the class. She is the worst teacher in the universe. She never returns any of the work u do. She gives the first paper you turned in on the last day of class. if you want to pass 155 steer clear of her. anyway you could work very very hard and you will still not get an A.

Unfortunatly she is still a teacher at CSUN. She never returns the hundreds of essays you write. She lost my pap[er and she gives like a 20 page research paper and 15 page book report at the last minute. You can never reach her for help, you ask a question in class she looks at you like your stupid.

This lady is crazy. She doesn't return your work. She gives you the stupidest assignments and your final is DUMB! She assigns peer crituques and they are STUPID!! Very hard teacher, not a professor. Doesnt deserve that title. She is not clear on what she wants from the assignments, doesnt care about anybody but herself and is just do dam hard. This is like the lowest class and i felt like if it was an upper division. And it was my first semester! Lamest ever!

Hate her class. She changes her mind consatntly and I hate English so I hate her class as well.

She is unclear, always forgetting what she said. If your gonna take a lower division class do not take her because she dose not teach, nor does she help you become a good writer. She makes english seem like a drag and is constantly jumping to a next topic. Most of all there's no discussion about anything, it’s always in a go go matter. no breaks!

She is the worst teacher, believe me. I entered that class with a desire to become a much better writer cause I really love English. I put an insane amount of effort in her class, I literally wrote a book for her, and still was not good enough for her. She understand the material, but she does not know how to teach. THIS PROFESSOR IS HORRIBLE!!!! she does NOT consider that you have classes other than hers. even if she was your only class it would be an overwhelming amount of work. i am onlly half way through the semester and would steer my worst enemy away from her class. she does not teach ANYTHING her class is a place to go to get work.

She's a good person, but its DOESN'T means that she's a good professor. Her lectures are very vague and she assigns an INCREDIBLE amount of work. Its IMPOSSIBLE to be on the "top of the game" in her class. i do not recommend her class.

Prof. Broadous is really nice. But she gives more projects and essays than the devil would. She has no concept of time. She has to think that there is 72 hours in a day with all the work she expects you to do. She doesnt really teach... she kind of just tells you to do work... which anyone could do. my classmates have helped me more than her.

I would NOT encourage my worst enemy to take this class! She is a terrible teacher, extremely unorganized, super boring and did i mention unorganized? She doesn't even keep a grade book!! I really wouldn't have anyone take this class. There is so much work that the teacher will NOT tell you about till the week it's due. essays are super confusing. she says she will email you. but she wont. and you're screwed if you can't make her office hours. save your time and energy. this class will drive you INSANE.

I just recently discovered this and all I have to say is pay attention to all the bad rating because they're all true. She's shouldnt be teaching at all. She gives way too many work. Bail out while you still can!! So hard it made me fail one of my other classes. I failed this class because I did it on purpose. This affects your other classes/work!!

Shes the worst professor ever! You dont learn anything and shes so disorganized with her assignments. She gives assignment after assignment and still have to read a novel, the textbook, get vocabulary, and work on the binder. The only reason i got a B was cause she wasnt there for half of the semester and got our grade from a sub. DONT TAKE HER!!!

Lectures have nothing to do with class. Gives a ridiculous amount of work. Would be best to avoid her class. Really stressful class, get started early on your essays and "journal/portfolio", she doesn't exactly follow her own syllabus, so ask lots of questions in class. If you don't agree with her line of thought you're wrong in her eyes.

We got Prof.Broadous as a replacement. Thats when life got EXTREMELY difficult. You not only have a Portfolio to do, you have journals, vocab, research projects, book reports, novel notes, research notes, extra essays w/peer edits,HW from the LMW, and MORE. All due in a binder in the correct order. You wont have time for other classes! Good Luck.

Everything that people are saying on this page is true. She is unorganized and extremely inconsistent. Gives extreme amounts of work and has nearly impossible standards. Her syllabus for our course was 17 pages long and was much more important to her than the textbook!I couldn't stress this enough. Please.. Avoid Professor Broadous AT ALL COSTS!

Please never take her!!! I made the biggest mistake by staying in her class, my GPA is now paying it. Avoid her at all costs. She teaches NOTHING, expects you to learn from the textbook on your own. She also gives tons of assignments and a long research paper (15 pages). Please save yourself

She does not teach but expects you to be able to write 4 critical reviews and a 15 page final research paper. As well as do a presentation for an hour and 15 minutes. DONT TAKE THIS CLASS IF YOU WANT TO NOT STRESS YOURSELF OUTTT!

Save yourself and do not ever take this professor for any class. Rude, attitude problems, and does not care about you. She expects you to know how to do things when she has not even explained them. Unorganized, and acts like this is the only class we have on our hands. LOTS OF PAPERS. Just don't.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. No feedback on grades, unclear on literally everything, canvas doesn't match up with anything she says in class, will do more than required and then will try to tell you that every other AFRS 115 is doing the same when in reality they aren't. Class was an unnecessary stress and I highly suggest you don't take this class

Terrible. She doesn't even teach. She says a few words in the beginning of class and then makes you do a journal, after you're expected to write 1-2 pointless papers a week and then gives you low grades on them. Do not take, I'm warning you.

When you ask her for a clear explanation she does not give one . It is extremely frustrating when youre trying to complete an assignment.

WORST PROFESSOR EVER! I took her for my Freshman year back in 2019 and she honestly traumatized me with the way she teaches. I read her reviews on here before taking her, and silly me decided to not listen and took her anyways. Worst mistake ever. Don't take her! she does not know how to teach properly and YOU WILL be confused 90% of the time.
