She's a good teacher, and even takes the time to remember names and faces. She's always available for questions. If you study for the quizzes and take notes in class, you won't have any problem at all. Her tests are fair, and she dedicates the class before the test date to review and go over the material that will be on the test. You can't lose...

She teaches very quickly but she gets the info otu there. You get out of the class bofore the 50mins are up. The material is kinda hard so i requires some out of class studying.

Great teacher! Stats is a hard class but she made it so much better! Study study study...you have to earn it-she is always available for help. Online quizzes, 4 tests, takes attendance but hardly ever in class more than 30 min-you MUST get her!

This is a great teacher! I'm taking stats for a 2nd time b/c my 1st prof. made stats seem like an ancient greek language or something. Ferrell explains everything SO clearly that stats is actually fun for me now. The 1st test I made a 97 on when I made 20s on tests the last time I took stats. I would definately recommend her.

I had Mrs. Ferrell years ago for college algebra and she was great. She was always willing to help and remembered your name. Her smile would also light up the room and make algebra enjoyable! I was definitely hot for teacher!!!!!

Professor Ferrell was a very good professor who was always smiling. She presents the material very clearly and makes ALL the class notes available to you online. Just show up for class and fill in the notes. Few HW assnmts, but tests may be difficult if you don't do the study guides. Show up, actually try, and you will be fine. Take her!

Professor Ferrel is really nice and gets straight to the point. She doesn't waste time teaching info that won't be on the tests, she gives you formulas and you just have to know how to use them. I am not very good in math, and I got an A in her class. Not alot of homework at all, and her tests are managable. Take her if you can!

GREAT PROFESSOR! She posts notes that you come to class and fill in and posts most of the fill ins even if you aren't there. Makes the material crystal clear and what you teaches you exactly what is on the tests. Great Professor for anyone who loves or hates math.

Great Teacher! I took her for summer school and it was a great decision. She is helpful and knows exactly what she is doing. She replaces your lowest test grade with your highest and graded homework is all online. She does not check regular homework in class and the test are no more than 20 questions. You can only miss two classes.

She is very organized. She explains stats very well and wants you to know the basics. Just don't forget to do the homework, there are only 10. Great teacher, seems enthusiastic.

Took online, but she is a great teacher, always willing to help. There's only 6 grades for the class (homework, 4 exams & 1 final) She uses AVR for online students to watch her daily class sessions which helps a lot in learning the material. I highly recommend taking her for any class, she is a great teacher.

definitely a great teacher. notes are clear cut. and if you miss a class, you can always look in the book and get your notes. tests are easy if you know what you are doing, but if not you are screwed. homework are really easy. attendance isnt mandatory but she will replace lowest test grade if you miss less than 3 classes. would take again.

Shes a great teacher, lays everything out in an easy to understand way, gives study guides before test, lets you use a cheat sheet front and back for each test. its a hard subject but she makes it easy, definitely take her

If math isn't your best subject, I would definitely recommend taking her class. She makes a difficult subject easier to understand. Her notes are clear and easy to follow. The tests are easy as long as you know what you're doing, and you can use a cheat sheet. She's always willing to help the students who need it.

She's nice and relatively attractive. However, dont believe all the hype after that point. To be honest, I really dont feel like the tests were anywhere near as easy as the notes made them seem like it they were going to be. I studied regularly and passed. i was expecting to get a high b,considering how much everyone makes her class seem easy.

MS. Ferrell is by far one knowledgeable professor there is. She isn't boring, helps and teaches the material well. Statistics isn't hard nor is it easy. There are 3 assignments a week, 4 exams and comprehensive final. Her notes contain everything you need to know for exams. Study and you'll get nothing less than a B :)

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! I took a Biostatistics class before taking her Business Stats and it was extremely hard. Then, I get Debbie and she made the same concepts crystal clear. I really enjoyed her.

Get the online textbook; the only time I used it was help with homework or if I had a Q regarding the test. Keep up with your homework and make your study guides for the test and you can easily make a 100! The study guides are front and back one page per test and you can write whatever you want! Plus, she's awesome!

I highly recommend her. If you do the homework, which takes about 10 minutes, and go to class you will do well. Also if you miss less the 3 classes she adds 10 points to your lowest test grade. She is a great teacher and gets grades back the same day.

I am not a math person. Took college algebra a few times. Was very nervous to take this class. This teacher was by far the best math teacher I've ever had. She has daily powerpoints to follow with her, and she allows a cheat sheet for exams. As long as you go to class, she will teach it to you! So helpful and explains everything!!

One of the nicest and most helpful teachers I've ever had! She made this class super easy to understand and let us make cheat sheets before every test. Homework is on MML and very easy. If you miss no more than 3 classes you get 10 bonus points for your lowest test grade. Almost never goes the entire 50 minutes. Highly recommend!

Seriously one of the most helpful teachers I have ever had. Even though I took the class online, her lectures were very detailed, and when help was needed she would email back very quickly. Definitely recommend her!

If you print off the notes, follow along in class, do your homework, and complete chapter quizzes, then you will do fine. Do NOT miss a class, you will thank me later! She's phenomenal! After reading her rates I was confident I would get a good grade for once in a math class. I took her online stat class. There's really not a lot of homework at all and her lectures are very clear but be warned the final is 35% and dropped my C+ to a D. Was unclear about what would be on the exam as well. She is an amazing professor. As long as you go to class (she always lets out 10-20 minutes early) and take notes it is impossible to get lower than a B in her class. It is nearly impossible to get less than A on homework and quizzes (open note online and more than one chance.) She also allows a cheat sheet for the test!

I took this class online and it was easier than expected. I did not use my book majority of the time. Just make sure to watch the tegrity lessons before each homework assignment. She's amazing!

Great professor! I never used the textbook because the Tegrity lessons covered everything. You MUST watch the Tegrity lessons and take notes to do well on the HW. Test can be difficult because there is so much information but allows cheat sheet for each test. Online test must be proctored. Replaces lowest test grade with final exam if higher.

I was skeptical and terrified to take a stats class in general, especially during a 5 week summer class. Ms. Ferrell made everything so great though. The tegrity lessons go through everything you need to know. Homework is on MML. Tests allow cheat sheets. Gives extra credit. She made everything so easy to understand. Everyone should take her!!

Not a hard class if you watch the videos and read the book. Mrs. Ferrell makes it easy to understand and follow along. Homework every Wednesday and Sunday, with 3 tests and a final. The final is on everything you learn the whole semester which makes it a little harder. overall, a great teacher who is helpful.

I struggled throughout this class, but Ms. Ferrell, was there to answer every question I had. All the assignments are completed using Aleks. The course is generated around your individual needs, which is a good thing as this prevents students from cheating. Take full advantage of the video lectures and try to work ahead.

Honestly haven't interacted much with the professor, but the class isn't too bad. Makes me consider getting more online classes if I can. Just have to go to a proctor for a few tests, but other than that you can do homework at home. Class isn't too hard, but it's not an easy A.

BEST MATH TEACHER!!! I have always been bad at math and the way she explains things helped me so much. You don't have to go to class but you get extra credit if you do and she REALLY helps. There are 4 tests and then like 24 homeworks. The tests are pretty easy if you did the homework and you get to use a note card. DEF TAKE THIS CLASS!!!

Professor Ferrell is a great professor. There are class notes you can print off before class to easily follow along. The exams are very similar to the practice tests online. We are also allowed a note card to put formulas on for every exam. This was my first stats class and she taught the class very well and she was very helpful.

It was very rushed because of the block but go to the lectures .... you will need it.

You really need to do your work and ask for help when you need it .. she definitely was not comfortable with the online ... it was a great class and she as a teacher is amazing but the work is hard.

Loved having her for math 2228! She gives homework and quizzes but all online and she drops your lowest homework and quiz AND she replaces your final with your lowest homework grade. She truly wants you to succeed and I loved having her this semester

When going into this class, I thought I was going to fail because I am terrible at math but this teacher is literally amazing! She actually made learning so easy. Attend class, don't look up your homework, she gives extra credit, and is so understanding!

She is a great teacher the lectures are super helpful and she gives lots of opportunities to improve your grade. She gives extra credit on the tests if you do the practice test and get a 85 or above. Unlimited tries on the homework and everything is spaced out sufficiently.

I've never been good at math but Ferrell really wants you to pass. You get extra credit opportunities for each test & a whole cheat sheet for each test. If you go to class and actually try on the homeworks online & don't use photomath then you'll learn it's not hard to pass. The homework and practice tests are just like the actual tests. GET HER!

By far one of the best math classes Ive taken at ECU. I wouldve made an A in this class if I didnt miss so much days (attendance is optional BUT RECOMMENDED). She gives you detailed notes, so I HIGHLY advise you to print your notes before you go to class! GET A CALCULATOR!! Actually study on the practice tests :)

Going to class really helps because she explains stuff really good and youre free to ask questions. You also get to have a cheat sheet for every test (even the final) with anything you want up there. The practice test help a bunch because the problems are usually the same format as the test but different numbers. She is really nice also

Professor Ferrell is a really good teacher and good at explaining things. The notes and lessons are well organized. The class was a hard times because Im not really a math person. The only thing I would change about the class would be to offer extra credit for those that need it. Especially if they are like me who dont really excel at math.

She makes sure everyone understands how to work out problems from each unit and if you are struggling she seems more than happy to help during or after class.

Hands down the best math instructor I've ever had. She cares about her students. No way you can fail this class unless you simply don't do the work. She sets you up for success. She gives extra credit if you do well on the study guide. If you sit down and do the study guide you will do great on exams. Exams are just like the study guide.

She clearly has a standard format for teaching, but she gets all the information across as simple as possible, and she answers questions. You get a cheat sheet on tests, so you won't have to memorize formulas. Homework is online and moderately heavy, but doable. Overall a very solid professor and class, would recommend.

I took a blocked MATH045/ MATH1065 course and Ferrel was my professor for both. I have NEVER done so well in a math class. I dropped MATH1065 the first time bc I had a 32. Now I have a 98. She works out problems and works with you, she is sweet and caring and I would take her again and recommend her to everyone. She is literally amazing

Mrs. Ferrell is an amazing teacher. Math 1065 is all online on aleks. So you are forced to teach yourself, but she does a 45ish minute lecture every class (once a week) that helps if you don't understand. Highly recommend.

Amazing instructor! The class was harder due to it being in 8 weeks, but she did a great job making sure we understood the material. Her TA was also always helpful.

Wonderful professor. There is a decent amount of homework but it is broken up well so it is manageable and you have infinite tries so getting a 100 just takes time. Lectures are great and study guides are provided so you know exactly what material will be covered. Also, had extra credit available on exams if a practice exam was taken.

Amazing professor. The students who state that she does not give extra credit are wrong. There is a practice test you can take as many times as you would like and as long as you get an 85 or above on it you get 5 pts extra credit on the upcoming test. Show up to class on time, do your work, and pay attention in the lecture and you will do fine.

Always available for emails and to give help. Watch the video lectures, fill out the lecture notes she gives you, and you will do fine. Allows 1 page of notes per exam, and gives extra credit on the exams for getting a decent grade on the practice test. I ended up with over a 100 in the class because I took notes and studied.
