She was very helpful in teaching me Intermediate Algebra. Her class is somewhat difficult, but you can tell she knows what she's doing and she explains things VERY well. This is the best math teacher I've had at American River College thus far.

Great teacher. Very helpful & clear. Just keep up on the homework and pay attention in the class. It is obvious that your understanding of the problems are important to her. Strict on procedures. Has pre-tests on the blackboard to study specific material prior to exams. I recommend if you want a good understanding and foundation for algebra.

GOod teacher. Not lazy, Uses the entire class time for explanation and to go over the problems from the homework. She doesn't collect the homework, but you should do it. She wants the work to get done a specific way, rather than just an answer with no supporting work.

This is a great math teacher. You just need to do all the homework and study alot to get a good grade. She definitely wants you to do things her way, but she also wants you to pass and offers alot of extra time of hers for you to get help. Don't think you can take this class and do minimal work, but you can pass if you try hard.

This teacher was wonderful, if you want to learn and understand math. Make sure to do the homework and ask questions. Ask as much as you want...she won't mind because she wants her students to understand it. Copy everything exactly as it is shown on the board. Do that, and you'll be fine :)

TONS of homework & longest class ever (7:30pm-9:55pm) but she reviews everything in class clearly, answers questions & makes herself available more than most for students who need extra help. It may seem overwhelming at 1st but stick with it & you will not only pass the class but feel confident on entering Math 120 (& doing well).

I like her because she provides crystal clear rules to math and once learned the rules in each situation, my ability improved.

i loved Dr. Gale. She is a sweet lady but very set in her ways of teaching. once you get past the fact you must do it her way it becomes much easier. i liked that she broke everything down for better understanding.

She is a great teacher. If u feel like learning she is great. U have to be retarded or stupid not to love her class. In math u have to be organized...just keep that in mind. So I encourage you to take math with her:)

She's a very strict teacher, and sometimes tells the class that "she's right, and the book is wrong." She knows her stuff though, but she makes you do everything her way. If you're not strong in math, do NOT take Gale. We started the class with about 25 students and we're down to about 11 students with the semester coming to a close.

She is a wonderful teacher. She will teach you everything you need to know. She explains how to do everything in detail. No calculators of course, but only children need calculators. I am an A student and still have an A. I took her for math 100 and I loved her so much I took her again. I will also take her for STATS if I get a chance:)

Dr. Gale is very particular. Follow her instructions regarding homework and tests exactly as she explains. COME TO CLASS EVERYDAY! You can easily pass this class with an A or B if you do all the homework. The tests are based on homework and pre-test. You have to put in the time. She's really sweet.

forget everything you ever learned and be ready to learn everything from step one. If you do not do the steps her way, points off. Very particular person. She is very thourough and helpful though

Dr. Gale is tough, no doubt about it, but if you keep up with the class you will leave knowing what you are doing. She can definately be very mean to students in class! Dont ask "stupid" questions or you will get reamed!

Gale is a good teacher as long as you show up to class and do your homework! She is particular with arithmatic, you have to do it her way or no way. She is very smart and knows exactly what she is talking about. She also has open office hours.She is a really sweet lady. Overall, its a tough class but at this level of math its only gonna get harder!

Thanks to Professor Gale, I was able to get rid of some bad habits when i would do arithmetic problems. You have to show up for the class and she is really good with working with questions if you have done your home work. (struggle a little doing the homework will pay off).

She is very precise on how she wants things done & she gets frustrated if you don't get it right. BUT it's because she cares & wants you to get it. You really have to do the homework and attend class otherwise you will get lost & not be able to catch up. Extra credit is offered & she has office hours open to help you. She helped me ALOT.

Incredibly hard at first and intimidating but srick with it and not only will you be rewarded with beteer understanding of alegbra and arithmetics, professor gale really comes on with a tremendous helping hand the second half through and by the time the course is finished you will understand math like you never have before. ??????professor gale!!:)

Professor gale is awesome! She truly does care about your success and for that I am so glad I had her as my teacher. My understanding in math is much better following this class. Take her class, it will pay off in the end!!

She has a open door policy when it comes to her offices hour, if you take time to go in and get help she WILL help you. She has her way of doing math and I will admit at first I thought it was to much, but when I took time and asked for help, everything was so much easier. She ALWAYS helps you when you go to her office. AND she gives EXTRA CREDIT!

The professor is a very nice person with tons of experience in the work place as well as the classroom. The student has to put in the hard wor and effort to get a good grade. The tests are simple because the come with a great study guide. I will remember this professor for caring about her students success.

Dr Gail has here teaching methods and is an awesome professor. has a hard teaching method but it works. Dr. Gail is tough but fair. I would recommend her. just be ready to do math. Write notes, be on time, and pay attention. She knows her stuff. Very good professor.

I started off not very fond of her because she has a strict way of learning and communicating. However, this woman knows her curriculum. She breaks things down to a T. I love her now and have taken her about 3 different times on different subjects of math. She is passionate and will help you if you ask her. I met with her after class ritually.

She is detail oriented! She will let you know to your face, its her way or no way! So I started to show face value during her office hours and from there I could see was actually a math God. And she is actually very caring and will help you understand the foundation of the math that she's teaching. I followed all the way for three classes after.

Precalculus. Shes a really sweet lady shes hard in exams because she want you to learn and be successful on your next class.

Math is not a favorite subject of most of us as student also, every professor has his/her own method of teaching that sometimes it makes it very hard for student to understand math. Dr. Gale has her own unique way of teaching mathematics. If someone wants to learn math in depth and used it in daily basis take this class with Dr. Gale.

Took her pre-calculus course at American River College. At first, I didn't wanna take her class because of her ratings on this site but had no other choice. However, she is not the person described here by some other people. She was always willing to help, made sure that everyone was caught up on content and passed the class.

She was very supportive and was very accessible even during a summer course

Complainers don't like the work she requires but Dr. Gale is an amazing professor. Everything is explained correctly and efficiently. Don't expect to be spoon-fed answers like all the ones leaving all the negative responses expect.
