She's a good person. Genuinely cares about everyone in class. I think this is just a tough class, and it was difficult for us to get used to her teaching style. I have nothing negative to say, but this won't be easy. Lots of studying, but she'll always be there to try to help you!
She's a nice lady however out of a 50 minute class she only teachers for about 15 minutes so you'll basically be teaching yourself.
I cant express how bad of a professor this lady is. doesn't explain the material AT ALL! speaks to you as if you already know, doesn't actually use examples
She expectes you to know everything already , does not teach just writes and write and does not explain , do not take her . TRUST ME
Professor Goldwasser is very helpful in office hours. This is my second time taking stats and I finally get it. She explains things well and is always available for extra help. She really cares about students.
The class is challenging. I like the casino problems because it makes the class interesting and because I play online poker. Professor Goldwaser makes you work for the grade but quizzes are an automatic A if you take the in class quiz.
I don't think I've ever felt more lost in a class before. Tests are most of our grade (80%), but it's cool we can use an index card of notes on it. I just wish I could understand enough to write those notes lol. A lot of other students from both her stats classes complained about the same. I feel bad about giving her such a poor rating, but yeah :/
She is a very nice lady, but her teaching style is confusing. If you talk to her in person, she might be of help. But you have to have ultra focus and ask questions if you want to understand anything. I just don't agree with her teaching style. All of us are lost when the homework comes around because we don't do that many homework-related problems
Professor Goldwasser is a very nice woman, that being said she is a terrible teacher. Avoid taking her as a professor I would. She doesn't explain the material clearly enough to get a real understanding of it. The tests are nothing like the quizzes or homework assignments. The exams are worth 80% of your grade and there is no extra credit.
She's nice but she can't teach. She uses convoluted formulas that are specific to one problem, she utilizes excel in the HW but she doesn't explain how to use it, and her way of helping when you have a question is just to give you the answer without explaining why. If you take her, you better go to her office hours or you won't pass.
STA 2023 is very hard but I knew that I needed Stats for Finance so I was expecting a challenge. Professor Goldwasser gives her own HW problems and they are hard but she is very helpful during office hours. She is a good teacher who explains things clearly. I would take another class with her if possible, she is nicer than other professors.
I thought I was going to fail this class in the beginning and everyone says how hard this class is, but it's really not that bad. She is helpful at explaining and the solutions she sends us help with studying.
DO NOT TAKE HER. i wish i had known how bad of a professor she is... took her for Stats 1 and the work that she gives is in no way appropriate for the level of stats she is teaching. go to tutoring AT LEAST 2x a week bc her class is a waste of time. the tutors make it MUCH EASIER. oh & figure out how to speed write because her exams are RIDICULOUS.
Easily one of the worst professors I've had during my four years at FIU. Most math teachers are horrendous and unable to convey concepts accurately, instead relying on listing complicated formulas that provide shortcuts to solutions. She's one of these people. The homework, quizzes, and exams have extremely convoluted problems that confuse tutors.
She helps you out during exams and tells you pretty much what will be on the exam. You can pass if you put in the effort. She genuinely cares about students.
I am ecstatic that I received an A in this course. It was insane how much I studied but I'm glad I did. I feel more prepared to take other math-related courses after this.
I am a 4.0 student, and yes I did get an A in this course but it was difficult ! This is probably the worst professor in all of FIU. I do not know how she is allowed to teach. I have never experienced such a horrible professor. I do not mind hard classes but this professor is incompetent. What sucks is she is nice. Go to office hours! Horrible!!!!!
Professor Goldwasser is very caring towards the students, she dedicates time to students to understand concepts. Only one tutor knew about her homeworks. She provides study sessions on weekends with her. She is very supportive with students by giving homework, quiz, exam review solutions.
Dr. Goldwasser is the hardest working professor I know. She dedicates so much time to creating and grading all her exams, quizes, hw, and study guides. She is available during her office hours and has reviews on weekends and through Irma and tornado warnings. After 8 years of the military this was my toughest class my 1st semester back. NEEDS TA!
First couple of weeks were tough as this is a hard class but Prof. Goldwasser really goes above and beyond to make sure you understand the material. She's always available and her office hours are amazing and a great tool to understand the concepts and do well on the exams. There is a lot of hw but you know what they say, practice makes perfect.
this lady is one of the worst professors i have taken at fiu. her tests dont correspond to her lectures, she sends notes after shes done with teh chapter-- so its hard to follow along during lecture, she goes super fast during lectures also. for our 1st test, she had us take outside in the rain bc the door was locked instead of postponing.
She can't teach, she doesn't care about your GPA, and she cant even explain her own homework, my class had to go to her several times to correct answers she said were correct. she uses confusing formulas and the formulas she uses don't match the ones she gives you on the formula sheet. the material isn't hard but she makes it confusing.
Great professor. I really enjoyed this class and I am thinking about becoming a double major in Statistics.
People think she's a bad teacher but it is just because it is genuinely a difficult class. You need to pay attention and study on your own time. But she literally gives A's on quizzes as long as you show up and she tries her best to help everyone's grade out. You do need to dedicate time to this class or you won't pass.
She gives a lot of hw! She is too nice so people take advantage of her and she ends up explaining the material well. You have hw every class practically and you don't know your grade until it is posted at the end of the semester! DEFINITELY don't recommend if you want to learn, you teach yourself or have the help of tutors.
She is one of the best professors I have ever had!! She really does care and I learned A LOT from this course. If you want to learn definitely take her but if you are here for the easy "A" take someone else. I would recommend to go to tutoring but that could be because I was not very good at math, but whatever I thought she was awesome!
Her tests are almost exactly what her study guides are. A lot of homework - but it's well worth it to help you understand what she teaches in class. She's a fine teacher but that extra boost really helps. The textbook is online, so a ton of online homework, and her offline work is hard but doesn't really affect your grade in the long run.
Amazing professor. Attending lectures is mandatory as she gives in class participation points worth 15% of your grade. She gives practice problems before the exams that are almost identical to the exams themselves. The final was basically the practice exam with different numbers. Final grade will also replace lowest exam grade.
This teacher is horrible! She can't teach at all, you end up teaching yourself. Nobody understands what she teaches. She makes us go to the math lab for a grade but the tutors don't even understand the work. She makes you calculate your own grade and doesn't care about any excuses you have. 1st test class average was a 50! Don't take her!!
This class is set up for you to succeed. She is a decent teacher and gives you all the tools you need to pass. Her class has 3 tests, 1 being the final exam. The final replaces your lowest test grade so if you pass your final your pretty much pass the class. Ended up with an A surprisingly doing very little work, just study for the exams is all.
there are different ways to do every problem but she always chose the most complicated way and never explained it afterwards, leaving everyone confused. she often cancels class and wasn't even there for the last 3 weeks of class. Never is available or answers her emails. Responds to questions with vague answers and never shows work. DO NOT TAKE
Goes over countless formula derivations in class. It will leave your head spinning. Goes over too few examples, and thats unfortunate because the homework is example-based. Dreading to take the midterm.
She doesn't explain the work in a way where we can understand, its as if shes teaching herself. She has you work in groups with a packet and problems that you should know how to do on your own because of the videos on Pearson. She also gives labs in excel that she admitted doesn't have any significance to the course.
She knows stats very well but she doesn't know how to explain. If you take care to prepare yourself to teach yourself, there is no other way. She will answer you if ask her anything but that doesn't mean that you will understand what she is saying.
Do not take this teacher by far the worst ever. Honestly take anyone else. Her lectures are pointless because they only confuse you more the only reason I went to class was to get a grade for the group work. She barely teaches and expects you to teach yourself everything. Super inconsiderate and rude. Do not take her.
Horrible professor and wouldn't recommend her for any one else. She gives these labs that are pointless and doesn't assist with the material, as well as giving out group assignments each class with little direction or lecture, leaving you to figure it out on your own. When she does teach, its the harder solution opposed to something simpler
By far, the worst professor I have ever had at FIU. So bad at explaining, especially if you are a visual learner. If you take this class with this professor, I recommend you do tutoring instead its the only thing that helped me in this course. Also, she definitely needs learning assistants. Dont waste your money and chose another professor.
Lectures are pretty much she gives you a packet and tells you to solve a word problem, and after the class sits there doing nothing for 15 minutes she solves it, THEN gives you the notes you needed to complete the problem. For exams, you get a review packet and she solves about 30% of it then leaves the rest to you or for her office hours.
Please do not take her! The worst professor I have ever had, I don't say that lightly. She doesn't teach class properly and gives assignments she even said were meaningless. She will also complain if you address her with a complaint of not understanding the work saying you had the resources. The final was nothing like the review sheet she provided
The topic is hard and she does not teach it in a way that is easy to understand. Don't choose her to teach you especially if it's your first time learning stats like me. Homeworks are worth a lot so make sure you understand them. She doesn't curve exam grades, even though the class exam average was 50. I do not recommend this professor at all.
The worst professor in the history of professors. When you ask her a question she responds with attitude and doesn't even answer your question. Explains the material in a way that is super difficult to understand. She does not care about her students; it is almost like she finds pleasure in watching her students suffer. Worst mistake choosing her.
Avoid this professor at all costs. She should not even be a last choice. Not accommodating at all to students, even in times of COVID 19. Will fail to announce due dates and grades randomly. Any concerns? All she will say is tough luck and say thats your problem. She should not legally be allowed to be a professor.
PLEASE do not take her. She assigns 40+ hw on MyStatLab and extra hw with labs on Excel that take hours to do with no clear instructions given. She answers her emails in a very passive aggressive manner. The average on her final was a 40% and no curve was given despite COVID and no zoom meetings.
I learned a lot of Statistics in this course, and didn't think I would end up with an A but I did. She was a great teacher and helped my during the COVID19 by having Zoom office hours. I learned how to use Excel this semester by completing the labs which helped me in a project for a different class.
I am an A/B student who genuinely enjoys classes & often understands that in some cases some may be harder than others. I am a hard worker, but this is a class with a teacher I have never struggled more with. She is hard to connect with, is lecture heavy, and does not teach like the hybrid portion (cannot teach). I do not recommend her whatsoever.
Do not listen to the good reviews, I made the same mistake and ended with a C even though I'm a straight A student. She doesn't respond to emails, didn't even try to do zoom once covid hit, and then blamed us for not understanding the material. Class average for the final was a 40 and the highest grade was a 75, she doesn't care. Avoid at all costs
I don't know why there are any positive comments for this professor because she is the absolute worst. She basically neglects her students and does not care about wether or not they pass. I have been confused since the beginning of this course because she teaches stats the most difficult way possible.
This class was pretty much a joke. It was a hybrid so we met once/week before covid19. Then she just posted videos and labs and did not hold zoom classes. Her teaching was fair and videos were boring. The girls in this class were rude and disrespectful. They spend their life on chat group talking about this teacher. Its literally high school.
She does not know how to teach. Her classes are pure lectures, which is fine, but she complicates things more than they should be making it extremely difficult to understand the course. She gives an INSANE amount of homework/labs which also uses excel with again, little to no explanation on how to do things when it comes to the exams.
The problem is that she tries to teach concepts and leaves everybody confused. She needs to just show the class how to do the specific problems that will be on the exam. She does problems, but won't do algebra. She tries hard and makes her own videos and labs but it just didn't work for me. She also makes us calculate our own final grade.
Worst professor EVER. She leaves grading for last minute, she does not even care about a students situation whether itd be critical or not she would not give them another chance or be considerate about it, her teaching does not make sense at all, she responds to emails SO LATE (weeks later) or she just does not respond at all. Dont take her
Excellent professor. Very knowledgable and kind to students. She should give more examples in class similar to our homework.
I have never once complained about a teacher on here. Ive had my fair share of indecent teachers, but this one was by far the worst. She never responds to emails, inconsiderate, doesnt curve exams (even though the highest grade for our final was a 75), doesnt make sense, & lots of useless assignments. If you care about your GPA, dont take her!!
Nice lady. Terrible professor. Take her if you have plenty of extra time and don't mind teaching yourself. She provides you with an overwhelming amount of study materials, but fails at properly teaching you how to approach them in her lectures. Her exams felt like running a marathon before learning how to walk.
I wish I would have read the reviews before taking her. I hate this class more than anything I've ever taken. I'm a straight A student and I'm currently failing her class. EXTREME amount of busy work and she is VERY inconsistent. She wants one thing on one lab and another on the next. DO NOT TAKE HER. I'm looking for ways to report her even more.
I have never had to complain about a college professor yet and I am a Junior. SHE IS THE ABSOLUTE WORSE. Her lectures are terrible and theres really no reason to attend them, you'll be teaching yourself anyways. She hasnt curved a grade yet in my class and the class averages for both exams were 37% and 55%. Save yourself, dont take her.
dont take this class
DO NOT TAKE THIS LADY. SHE IS HORRIBLE AND RUDE. DOES NOT TEACH AND WONT HELP YOU IF YOU ARE SICK. I WISH I NEVER TOOK HER. GIVES YOU EXTRA UNNECESSARY LABS THAT ARE EXTREMELY HARD. PLUS WHAT YOUR LEARN AND THE EXAMS ARE TWO DIFFERENT THINGS. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DONT TAKE HER. i am not one to rate profs but i just had such a bad experience!
Do not take this class with her. Professor Deborah Goldwasser was one of the worst teachers I have ever had at FIU. She is a tremendously slow grader and does not want her students to pass. During lectures, she reads off a PowerPoint. Her exam reviews are nothing like the exam. She said that we did amazing on an exam where the average was a 46%
If you like your GPA, do not take this professor. Mean score for exam 1 was about 50, mean score for exam 2 was 42, mean for the final was 46. The practice review solutions for the final exam was nothing like the actual exam, maybe 5 questions were similar. 10% of your grade comes from using the R assignments, which is not worth the hours put in.
Worst professor in math department, average exam scores for the entire class was in the 40s. Extremely inconsiderate. Assigns labs, quizzes, and pearson assignments weekly. You will not learn a thing in the class, you will be more focused on meeting deadlines that wanting to learn.
Worst Professor ever! she doesnt care about her students and she thinks that her only class is the one we should focus on. My labs are pointless its a lot of time consuming. She even make us pay a $1 for Savannah and you will spend more than 6 hours doing the work she requires. Deborah I dont know about you but we have a life! and other classes!
Just don't take her. None of her material makes sense, her lessons don't explain everything you need to know but then she gives an exam as if you know it. If you email her to ask her anything/ask for recs on other resources to help shes condescending and rude. She expects you to learn statistics with weekly 9-12 page powerpoints and labs on excel.
Psych majors don't take her. She assigns labs and weekly quizzes that are time consuming (takes at least 6 hours to do) and unclear. Math lab is pointless they don't help at all. Three major exams. Average grade on exams were a 50%. She does drop the lowest quiz and lab grade in the end. Each exam were 20 questions and she takes the best out of 17.
We learned useful information that will be helpful in my career as a biology researcher. I really enjoyed learning by a hands-on approach to statistics and creating graphs in Excel. The professor was very helpful whenever I got stuck on a problem. The video tutorials and website were good. Exams are like review problems.
Weekly coding assigment that takes hours to do that is worth 10% of the grade as well as 3-4 webassign assignments which take just as long, reads straight off powerpoint and gives no explanation of how to find the answers properly. The practice exams help very little, too much info for 1 class, half my class has under a 60!
One of the best math profs I've ever had. She gives weekly quizzes on the lecture material, but uploads meeting recordings and her powerpoints. Will have a math lab every 2 weeks or so, lots of work but not hard and she explains everything step by step. She's also super understanding and responds quickly to emails. Take her class!!
The worst professor I have ever had. She will grade your homework and not give any feedback whatsoever. She has responded to my emails pretty quick, but I have heard that most students won't hear back from her in days. Savanah Math Labs is so confusing and so incredibly long. She doesn't explain much as well. Overall, I wouldn't take her.
Very knowledgeable professor and available to help. Her labs website is only 1 dollar which helps keep the costs down. There is a quiz each week with only 5 questions and a lab about every other week, which are long but she holds review sessions and goes over the steps in Excel. If you put in the effort, you will get an A.
Never take this woman for STA2122. She is rude, unprofessional, and egotistical. She will send the class emails and ignore any emails you have sent her. If you try to challenge an answer with evidence to support your reasoning, she will not listen to a word you say. It is either her way or the highway even when she is wrong. Take another professor.
This class was very difficult the Savannah labs was confusing and made it very difficult to learn the material well enough to ace the tests. The good part about this professor is the extra credit and her quick response to emails.
This is the hardest and the worst class i have taken in my whole life. She is not good at teaching or explaining the lessons, assigns labs that take a minimum of 6 hours almost WEEKLY, quizzes every weekend, exams with no curve, and i can keep going. She is very rude and has no compassion. I hated this class and wouldnt wish it on anybody else.
The only good Math professor I've had at FIU. Her class is definitely not a cakewalk, and you definitely need to pay attention. But, she goes in-depth with examples and her slides are easy to follow and catch up on. Her examples and test material are very similar, so you know what to study. The only thing I'd change is the workload out of class.
This is definitely a class you need to put your work on. Her R labs are kinda tough but most of them you can find similar exercises online. Web assign Can save you grade since it 20% of the grade so put your work on it. 2 test and 1 final. She replaced the lowest grade with the final and if the final is lower she doesnt change it.
I suffered so much in this class. Get ready to spend a ridiculous amount of time doing the Web Assigns and weekly R labs. Her lectures leave you completely lost and she claims everything is "easy" knowing very well that the whole class is lost. On the bright side, she does offer extra credit on exams for showing your work on the problems.
Terrible professor. She makes you do assignments weekly called R Labs that are completely unneccesary and you won't even be tested on any coding. Do not take her if you like your GPA.
She has gives hw but it's hard and will take you a whole day if not more. Has a total of 3 exams 2 midterms and one final, she gives practice exams but they are nothing like the exam. This class was my first ever grade below a B and she was hard don't take her.
Woul recommend
She's an ok teacher, but the homework labs she gives out takes roughly about 5+ hours to complete and do not help you practice for the actual exams you take during the semester, so not a good course by any means.
Great Professor, knowledgeable, well respected, super-nice, and approachable. This is a challenging class with many concepts and materials; she spends a lot of time explaining them thoroughly with passion. You need to spend a lot of time for this class, lots of homework, and very interesting R lab assignments.
there is A LOT of assignments each week but actually the syllabus is designed to help you out. R labs are challenging at first but it gets easier and for the exams do the exercises on the slides and the practice exam. Not the best lectures but she cares about you.
Her class is difficult insofar as the amount of work you must do is more than what you would expect. However, with many different assignments, comes a better chance of passing the class. Statistics is one of those classes where you need all the help you can get. I studied very hard (I struggle at math), so you should too. EXTRA CREDIT!
She explains content well and her power points are helpful. Excel labs were excessive in my opinion. Very time consuming and frustrating to do but it helped us apply what we were learning. My advice: don't procrastinate on them and you'll be fine; they aren't hard just lengthy. Exams were all very easy to pass: 12 mc questions graded out of 10.
I took her for STA 3123. she does not explain things and expects you to known how to use every single formula from STATS 1. DO NOT TAKE HER, YOU WILL FAIL. In lecture, you have classwork due at the end of class and most of it won't make sense because she literally does not teach. Horrible professor. Tutoring is needed when taking this professor.
Heavy excel homework. Time consuming and frustrating. Would not recommend at all.
STEER CLEAR
The homework is excessively long and annoying. She makes us use Excel for assignments and in-class lectures, but we can't use it for tests. There is no curve or extra credit assignments. You WILL need extra help with this course if you decide to take it. I suggest taking the other professor!
The stats professor assigns a lot of Excel homework, but it's helpful for developing skills. Exams are identical to practice exams with provided formulas. The professor is accommodating with reopened quizzes. Recommended for a knowledgeable and helpful educator.
I took this class online because I am not good at math and failed stats in person. It was terrible. Only professor that uses excel sheets for homework and the payment for exams is not specified in the syllabus. Did not care about students lives outside of school such as work or personal things. Do not take this professor.
Professor Goldwasser is lovely but her teaching style is just not for me. She teaches you how to do things in Excel; sometimes she doesn't even explain what she is doing. It is hard to keep track of. On top of that, you are not even allowed to use Excel in her exams. Her teaching style is not for everyone.
I feel people are too harsh on her. She's not mean or cruel, but yes she's a hard professor. The labs do take ages and are annoying, so don't leave them till last day. She's very lenient with test grading, and gives you credit for showing work (show a LOT!!) She's friendly if you give her a chance. She grades with assignments due in class each day
Class was hard. She is a nice person and a good professor, but her actual class is tough. If you're not a math person, don't take her! Took her for a 6-week summer session and attendance is mandatory. You get a ZERO for the day if you don't show up
Take at your own risk... that is all!
do not take this professor. 2 midterms 20% each one and 1 final 25%, my math lab hw 20% and group activities 15% graded in completition. Class is way different than the exams, ask her for extra credit, curve or anything that can help the grade ( average in midterm 49% as a class) her answer was always no. She only replaces 1 midterm with the final
I would recommend if you have the chance to take someone else for this class, do it. She is not the worse however, she cannot properly articulate herself so this affects her ability to teach and answer students questions. She assigns a lot of work, with weekly lab and quiz assignments. Her class is manageable, it is just confusing at times.
Trust me when I say believe the reviews they totally got it right. midterms cost twenty dollars per exam on proctorU, and she has zero empathy for the struggling students within her class. she will not have sympathy for you for reasons that she thinks her classroom is a top priority compared to everything.
just horrible
HORRIBLE DO NOT DO IT EVEN IF THERES NONE LEFT BECAUSE YOU TOOK TOO LONG TO REGISTER JUST WAIT UNTIL NEXT SEMESTER
I had this prof for 3123. She only uses excel for problems but doesn't take the time to teach you the formulas or how to solve them. You're basically teaching yourself because she just solves everything in 3 seconds and shows you the result. Doesn't react well to asking questions and is very defensive
Although professor can be difficult at times, this class is manageable. Do not take this class if you are looking for something easy. Professor requires attendance and lectures are important to pass the class. There is a lot of homework but she was lenient with providing extra time. Overall, study and the class is doable.
I enjoyed taking STA3111 with Prof. Goldwasser. The online lab homework is extremely easy, just follow her directions. And exams are also very easy as long as you practice the practice exams which are exactly like the real thing.
If you have any good sense, you will listen to the reviews and AVOID at all cost. She's a wonderful person, but her class is just way too hard. Her teaching style uses microsoft excel only. Not my style, please take a different professor
HORRIBLE. She was never available outside of class time or even during class. Never tried to go out her way to explain anything, she just read off notes. Uses Savannah which is very disorganized.
Avoid this professor at all costs. She mainly uses excel and savannah math lab and they are very time consuming, stressful, and very difficult. Her exams are through proctor-u and you have to pay an additional $20 to take the test and have someone watch you take it. please take it with another professor if you can.
Professor Goldwasser is such a sweet woman, However, she's not the best at teaching. She's really smart but she just doesn't know how to teach. The course is so so easy, but I had to teach myself completely. Her lectures are confusing, she skips steps and the class never follows. The best way to succeed is with a tutor or by teaching yourself.
The class assignments and the exams were not alike, and 90% of everything is self taught. There is a review session once a week that slightly helps, however, the weekly labs are very time consuming but provide no preparation for quizzes/tests.
Professor Goldwasser was great at providing reviews for the weekly excel-related assignments, but the exams focused on the underlying content, not excel. You could very quickly become lost if you were only following along with the excel content. On the flipside, she was very responsive in office hours for course content you needed help with.
Used Savannah Math Labs in the course, which teaches you step-by-step how to complete assignments, and the professor also does weekly Zoom meetings to help with assignments. Lets you submit the reports a day late. 2 Honorlock exams, but she reviews with you. Extra credit opportunities that really boost your grade!
This teacher gives too much homework, that doesn't correspond to what she teaches in class. Gives out a test review, and practice exam only to make it so much harder. The exam is 2/3rds of your grade. It's impossible.
please just don't. shes has a great heart outside of the class. but the hw is nothing like exams, the practice exams she gives before the test are nothing like the exams, im personally addicted to math and love everything about it but this class was like no other. no matter how hard and long i studied the exams would be something you wouldnt expect
Good prof. Reasonable testing that reflects the homework, lectures, and the powerpoints. Given plenty of resources and opportunities for extra credit. Lots of homework though.
The most time consuming and tedious class I've taken out of every course at FIU. The homework is lengthy, makes no sense half the time so you have to redo it, and she doesn't help or offer any assistance for you 1 on 1 if you reach out for help cause you're genuinely struggling with something. I'm sure she's nice outside of this, but just no.
worst professor ever
dont take her just dont. she is nice and smart but is NOT meant to be a professor, she lacks understanding when it comes to putting herself in the students shoes. she skips a lot of steps in explanations because she knows the topic well. her ppts explain something and either follow with an example that is extremely difficult or something unrelated.
Terrible experience. Lectures were confusing, the environment felt hostile, and the professor constantly called students out for minor things like checking a phone. Very little real teaching or support. Easily the worst professor I have had. Avoid if possible.
Our class went to Las Vegas Casino for a field trip. We were assigned to apply, If you didn't turn $10 - $100, you'd fail the class. I passed the class with an A+, now I am a millionare, jokes on you. (Easy class, do the stuff, you will pass. 2 midterms, 5 R Labs, 1 final. The lowest grade will be dropped. Extremely lenient and caring professor)
Her class is great. Exams were easy and she provides a practice exam that is pretty similar to the actual exam. 2 Midterms(15% each), 1 Final(25%), 5 Labs(15%), and she is so lenient and gives plenty of extra credits. She is also nice if you have any questions or concerns. This class is easy in overall. Good luck people.
I just got back from a trip to Las Vegas where I turned $100 into $10M. Not only did I win $10M, I also found love and got married that same day. Thank you, Professor, for giving me the knowledge to gamble responsibly using probability and statistics. This class gave me generational wealth and a wife. Cheers to my new marriage!
