Teaches at a very fast rate so you have to keep up. I want to hate her for having a quiz every class, but it helps you learn your stuff. If you don't mind not slacking off, take her over Sherlock.

Prof Gougeon is one of the best professors I've encountered. Demanding, organized, and extremely clear. Periodic quizzes ensured that I stayed up-to-date on material therefore I didn't have to go nuts studying for the final.

Probably the best teacher I have ever had. Of all my subjects, I was most afraid of Stat but Dr. Gougeon presented the most difficult problems in a way that I could understand. Hard work, but I learned a lot.

The quizzes each class are easy, and only require about ten min. to look over the material. The tests are similare to quiz questions and not hard. Explains everything very clearly, moves quick, but it keeps the class interested. Gives you the confidence to do well, and will ALWAYS help.

She is one of my favorite professor. her lectures are so organized and always prepared for classes. really easy if you study and can learn a lot from her. excellent professor

Simply one of the best teachers that I have ever had. I was dreading Stat because I heard that it's impossibly hard, but Dr. Gougeon explained everything so clearly that I actually got it. A lot of work, and frequent quizzes, but I guess that's what it takes to get through. She's great!

It's true, she's a fast writer and talker, and there's frequent quizzes, but you won't have to study long for exams if you do the homework and look over your stuff. She's very willing to help if you're willing to try. Probably the best teacher I've had. She also writes AMAZING recommendations!

Prof. Gougeon overall is a great professor. She is ALWAYS prepared for class & presents everything in an organized and clear way. Quizzes are a little intense but at the end of the semester, really helps you out. Office hours are limited to approx 1 hr 3x's/wk & she only shows up for half of them if that. Overall, mixed feelings about her.

Best teacher at the University of Scranton. She is tough but fair, and she forces you to earn your grade, unlike other prof's. I had her over 10 years ago, and she was as agood as any teacher I have had in grad school.

The Statistics Tank. I have never seen anybody write so much on a board so fast. She knows her statistics, and you will too at the end. Put in the required effort, and you will be rewarded handsomely. Slack off and you are doomed. She is happy to help if you go to her office.

She's also willing to help you out during office hours (which she actually keeps!) There are other teachers of Stat who are much easier, but you don't learn

There are quizzes in every class, but this forces you to keep up. If you do the work, you will be fine. If you don't you'll end up like the losers below.

A truly wonderful teacher. Knows her stuff and gets it across clearly. He class is a lot of work, but you learn a lot as a result. Don't take the course if you're not serious about learning. I loved this course because of this teacher.

When I first started this course I didn't think that I'd like it. Math was not my best subject. But Dr. Gougeon is so good at teaching this stuff that I just love it. She's always prepared, her lectures are clear, and she makes learning fun. If you don't work, you won't do well, like the bozo below. If you do work, you'll be fine. Thanks Dr. G.!

TAKE THIS CLASS OVER INTERSESSION IF POSSIBLE! She is tough and I worked extremely hard to get an A- If you go to her for help, she will help you and answer any of your questions. Do all of your homework and you will understand everything. Trust me, I've heard the other professors aren't that great. Show up to all classes its better in the long run

She is an awesome teacher, and if someone says otherwise then they didnt do their homework and got yelled at! lol. She explains everything so well and sets you up to get an A! I wouldnt take stat with anyone else. She is such a good teacher!

She's a good teacher and obviously knows what she is doing. Really helpful if you have any questions. Expects a lot (good attendance, homework etc) so if you don't want to work to get a good grade I would suggest someone else. I would take her again though. If you like math and are halfway decent I would take her

Dr. Gougeon is a great teacher. You have to work very hard and she gives a quiz almost every class, but it forces you to study and you end up doing well on the tests if you study for the quizzes. It was a lot of work but she definitely prepared me for STAT 2. I highly recommend her.

Overall, Professor Gougeon is one of the best math teachers i have ever had. She gives quite a bit of homework and a quiz every class. This gets tedious, but it really helps you stay on top of the material and do well on the exams. I worked really hard and will probably come out with an A-/B+, but i learned a lot from her.

I really hate stat as a subject in general, but Gougen is pretty good at teaching it. She can seem impatient and mean sometimes, but if you go to her with questions she can be very helpful. My advice for this class: go to class, study hard, and hope for the best.

"Expects you to know everything once she teaches it."? Hah, um yes, don't all Professors? Definitely worked harder in this class than any other, but I came out learning more than I ever have before. Dr. Gougeon has high standards, which I respect her for. She is also willing to help you if you need it! I would recommend her class!

DO NOT TAKE HER! She is a helpful teacher and all, but she teaches this class like it is the only one her students have. Literally 2 hours of homework a night and the tests are impossible to finish on time. For participation, she randomly calls on you to answer so you must be 100% prepared and know all material or she'll make a fool out of you :(

Gougeon is a very knowledgeable professor. she is very good at teaching and makes sure you understand everything. you do get a lot of homework, but it's the only way you will learn. keep up with the material and homework and you'll do great!

She is a great teacher and is very good at explaining the material. skipping class is not an option or else you might miss one of three pop quizzes and i don't believe you can make them up. tests are very straightforward and not bad. she gives a lot of homework but you only have do as much or as little as you want- it's not collected.

This class left me completely drained by the end of the 1hr 15min. She goes so fast, but the time I finished copying the problem, she already finished it. Tons of homework (not collected but she's still expects you to do most of it). Extremely long and difficult tests. Can only use a scientific calculator (not the graphing one). DO NOT TAKE!!!

Shes tough and could be intimidating in the beginning of the semester but youll get used to how she teaches and runs the class. By the second pop quiz you almost know when she plans on giving pop quizzes and they are fairly short and easy. Lectures are long and fast and does give a lot of homework but if you do the homework youll pass the class

Tough class, but excellent professor. I find most of my fellow business major friends to be some of the laziest students around (sorry guys!), so take their overly dramatic reviews with a grain of salt. Yes, she is difficult, yes, you have to do the work, but this is college, not high school. If you cant handle, check out the community college.

The person below me talks a big game for someone who got an A- lol, were you too lazy to get the full A? Go back to community college buddy hahaha
