She has extrememly interesting stories to tell in class. Her tests have some difficult questions, but if you read the chapters you will have no trouble and anyone who had an A going into the final was exempt. This was a great class!

A fun class, but not very easy. The course is actually one of few upper level psych courses taught at Valencia, and it's fun and challenging. Stay up on the reading and an A is very possible.

I took Prof. Hollister for Honors Psyc. and she is one of the most caring professors I have ever had. Tests can be difficult if you do not study. There will be a project that is due at the end of the semester. I had to drop the course because I did not have time to complete it. I will be retaking her course next semester. TAKE THIS COURSE!!!

Amazing teacher. Test are not THAT hard, just read the book and you'll do fine. Plus you take them online and have two hours to do so, and two tries, so you can look up all your answers with enough time to do so. Classes don't have much to do with the test, but very interesting none-the-less. Plus she's very credible and interested in her subject

LOVED this HONORS class. Be treated like an adult, have great discussions, take online open book tests (slightly tricky), write a few article critiques and no mandatory attendance!! Be sure the read the syllabus for all of your assignments, she doesn't tell you the class before. Ok teacher, thinks everything that comes out of her mouth is gold but sometimes the discussions are pretty interesting. Took her honors class and didn't have too hard of a time with it. If you want to make a good grade take the tests with a partner.

She is a very interesting professor. If you really try which means reading you should get an "A." Her lectures are a little off from her tests,but not from the reading. Hollister is a nice lady & loves to tell stories, sometimes she just goes off on the stories and forgets about teaching. Lectures consist of printing notes & listening,notes are useless. Test are extremely hard even though u get to take them twice & you can use ur book. Half the time she doesn't teach. If u dont know psych. don't take her.

Easy A Just Show up and Listen to some interesting Facts and information.

LOVE HER! Don't bother printing the notes, MUST have the book. ALL tests are on WebCT you have 2 attempts, 1st attempt and 2nd attempt have some differences but you also have 2 full hours to answer 50 questions. I didnt read a single full chapter and got an A and was exempt from the final. WebCT days are easy. Theres 1 paper and 1 project EASY :)

Hands down best Psych teacher out there! Taken her for several courses, highly recommend her. Come to class and study and you will do fine. Tests are WebcT and you can use your book. She has some great real life stories and she is super sweet and funny. If you don't take her, you are truly missing out.

She is easy. Her tests are online and the questions come directly out of the text book. During online test, one is able to work with a partner. The test is times (2 hours) and one is able to retake the test. We have one week to complete it. She is fun and outgoing. Highly recommended.

This class was fairly easy. All the exams are online, but don't let that fool you they are pretty hard. Even though you can use the book make sure you skim the chapters before you start the test. You have 2 chances to take it, which really helps. Extra credit is given and Dr. Hollister is very nice! I got an A and would take her again!

Pro. Hollister is very sweet and knowledgeable. The only reason the class is a little difficult is because we have such little time to learn so much. The tests are online. They are a little difficult but if you read the book and take your time on the tests you will do well. Great atmosphere in the class as well.

I took the online class. Pretty easy, but you definitely need the book. 5 tests and 8 discussions are your grade. You have two attempts for the tests, highest score is kept. She's fast to respond to emails. I got an A, and would recommend.

Class is semi-easy as long as you read the book. Test has 50 questions and you have at least 2 hours to complete.(online class) Discussions also.The teacher communicate thru email and announcements. Lots of reading.

Dr. Hollister was great!!! Took the short online class this summer. The class was outlined to the letter. 8 quizzes, 8 discussions. That's it! She was very responsive to any questions you had and grading! MUST TAKE...

She is amazing! I took her for 2 semesters,I recommend taking her hybrid class, tests are open book and notes. I never studied for the tests and I got an A for both General and Developmental Psych. Extra credit is offered and there are 8 discussions throughout the semester which help your grade. She makes psychology really fun! Seriously TAKE HER!

Entertaining teacher and easy assignments. All you have to do are the weekly discussions and the chapter assessments. Tests are open book and you can use the Internet.

If you can, take her. She's really the greatest teacher for psychology. She makes the class interesting & the time goes by fast because you're so focused on what she talking about. She gives 8 discussions which are easy as long as you do them, the activities are easy, and there are 5 test (including final) as long as you ready the book, you should have no problem getting at B or higher on it. It's online open book test also.

Professor Hollister is very knowledgeable and spends a lot of time in class talking about the things she knows. The tests are difficult, but you have two chances to take them and they are open book. Read your text book! Only way to pass the tests. Fun class, just make sure you do your discussions every week and the assignments and youll pass.

The workload is minimal while still covering all the information. All the assignments (except the discussions) are available on the first day of class so you can work ahead as far as you want. The tests are mostly multiple choice and 50 questions. I honestly haven't a single complaint about this course.

Hollister was an amazing teacher, and she teaches in a lecture style while incorporating fun stories. All the tests are take home and there is no cumulative final. There's one career essay which was very easy as well. She's caring and a fun story teller, I'd definitely take her again.
