Gives lots of extra credit opportunities, grades on a curve, final was VERY, VERY easy compared to the other 3 test. First test was a little hard, second one was easier, third test was the hardest, and last one was by far the easiest. She's very nice and will answer all your needs.

This was the easiest class that I have taken at OCC and I recommend it to anyone who wants a easy A. This teacher is really hot and she had my attention every time she talked. If you have problems concentrating then you should take this class because you won't have any problem concentrating on this teacher.

After the first lecture I had the impression it would be a fairly boring and impersonal class. It was, but I was soon impressed by her vast knowledge of the field of Psychology and science in general. You can ask her anything, whether it's relevant or not, and she'll have an informative and articualte answer. I really appreciated that. Maher= Rad.

She's so easy. All we do is take notes and fill in blanks in the notebook she gives us. Then we have 4 exams that she gives us study guides and that's all we need for the exams!

Deborah is great. She publishes her own study guide and that's all you need, you don't read the textbook at all. She is very helpful and tries to make the class interesting. All the questions on the test come straight from the study guide. She gives a list of concepts and that's all you need to know for the test.

MONOTONE! I fell asleep every class because she bored the hell out of me! I would be interested in what she was talking about then she'd get side-tracked for half an hour! And, she's a total nazi about attendance. If you leave early (even if it's just 5 minutes before class ends) you'll get marked absent from the whole class. Role's taken 5 times!

I hate psychology but I had a lot of fun in her class. Deborah has a fun and energetic personality and it makes her classes very enjoyable. Best of all, the tests and assignments are easy! The study guide tells you what will be on the tests, so get some flash cards and cram the day before the test and you'll get an A! Great class for GE reqs.

What more could ask for in a psych professor? Maher is great. She's funny and makes class interesting with music and silly computer graphic images in her PowerPoint presentations. She talks like Scully from the X-files. She is one of the best professors I've ever had. Keep up with notes, use flash cards to study b4 the test and you will get an A.

Suprisingly hard. Based on the reviews I expected all I'd have to do was show up. I was sorely mistaken when I failed the first test. And then for the final I studied for hours and after I was done I could have sworn I aced it but I got an 82? I dont know, maybe I'm dumb. If I took psych again I'd avoid her.

Prof Maher was great. Her jokes are witty, her powerpoints are interesting, and she uses props for her lectures every once in awhile. I took Dr. Maher for Psych 100 and loved it so much I signed up for her psych 250 intersession class. The homework was a breeze and you get to use a sheet of notes for the exams. The material is complex but just attend the lectures and you'll get an A. Awesome teacher!!!!

She has to teach Psych250. I think I'm the same person in the commentary to say she should teach Psych 280 na Psych 220. If not, then those are the other courses she has to teach and that's it for me.

I love Prof. Maher! I took Psych 100 w/her and then BioPsych during the Winter Intersession. She is very thorough and words everything so that you can better understand the material. Plus everything in her exams in written in the notes. Just use your study guide and you will do just fine!

Took online course. EASIEST class ever. Just make sure you do the assignments on time. Quizzes were easy if you paid attention to the lectures. Assignments were easy to do. I had a great experience with the class. I didn't buy the book and easily got an A (the book was rarely needed and it was poorly written. If you do need it, check the library).

This class is very straightforward. Just attend, be consistent with your hw, and study well for the tests. It's also enjoyable because she cracks jokes and has a lot of class involvement. Sometimes it does get boring so beware! LOL.

Take her online class. There are 16 sections, one for each week. Each sections contains a 10 question quiz and an assignment. Just listen/read her lectures, print and fill out the study guide and you will do great. The class is really interesting too.

Excellent Professor, great class, you will compile a notebook throughout the semester and you keep for future reference(great concept) no exams, I highly recommend taking this class no matter what your major is.

Easiest class in the world!! I ditched 12 out of the 16 weeks and STILL got an A+. All you have to do is get the handouts online, fill them out with the powerpoint presentations she also posts, and do simple homework assignments, keep all the paperwork together and put it in a binder, turn it in on the last day and you're done. EASIEST "A" EVER!!!

Don't need the book, I bought mine for absolutely NOTHING. It was expensive too! She lectures from her handbook, you fill in the blanks and it's everything you need to study for the test. Easy A. Besides the easy A, the class is very fun because the subject is interesting and nice teacher.

Online class. Extremely easy, didn't use textbook after the first quiz (just have it on hand to look through the glossary during the test when needed). Listen to the lectures, fill out the notes, and do the assignments and you'll easily get a B if not an A.

Online class. Class wasn't that hard. Just do the assignments and fill out the worksheets. Test questions are from worksheets. I thought Psychology was going to be a boring "dry" class, yet she made it interesting and fun. She's also very helpful.

Took this as a summer class. Prof. Maher teaches the material via on line-lectures, study guides, assignments, class interaction, and extra credit. Probably one of the most organized and productive classes offered.

Online. Super easy and pretty interesting. Test questions are right off of the study guide. Some of the questions are only in the book, not in the lectures, so it is helpful to have the book with you. Lots of extra credit too, so it is really easy to get an A.

Took her online class. very easy all you have to do is watch about 30-45 min of powerpoint lecture and follow along filling in the blanks. she wrote her own workbork just for the class. its nice not to have to drive to campus, and you still learn.

Missed a lot of days and didn't push the exam or anything. Exams are hard even if you study. She does provide a study guide but some of it we didn't go over in class and is hard to find the text. Easy fill in notes though

I took this class online, and I loved how she organize her class. Topic is not easy, but she did a fantastic job with the online class. You have to read, homeworks and be self dicipline. I enjoyed the class!!!

Great class. It's not hard, but you really do learn alot! Your grade basically consists of the workbook and 3 tests (not including extra credit) It's an easy A class ONLY if you study for your tests. She's great and the class is never boring. Take her :)

The class was super easy.. Got an A without doing E.C.(she gives 40 pts of EC) expectations are very clear and presented in a easy to comprehend manner.. the class was pretty boring towards the end and she cancels class a lot.

DR.DEBRAH was one of the most funnest teachers that i have ever taken. she plays music at the begging of class. lectures were interesting. the book is not really necessary. just go to class get your notes in notebook only about $18.00. i got B and you can drop lowest test score.

EASIEST CLASS AT OCC! I'm a B average student and somehow managed a 103% in this class. 3 exams, minimal homework, and lots of extra credit. Maher explains everything clearly, and if you follow her directions exactly on how to study for her tests, you can't go wrong.awesome class

I would have to agree with all of the previous comments. This class is probably the easiest class you will ever take. It's very clear and notes are easy. Tests are easy and so is the homework. I highly recommened this class.

Her class is super easy and fun. The topics are interesting. There is no textbook required except for her workbook. She lectures and you fill in the blanks in the workbook. You can miss up to five classes. She collected six random homework assignments that you do in the workbook and a final paper. She gives many extra credit opportunities. Easy A!!

I took her online intro to psychology class during summer of 09. I got lazy and didn't do anything for her class until the last day of the semester. I seriously did everything for her whole semester class in one day. I didn't buy the textbook because the info comes from her online lectures. I got a B. She answers to emails quickly. Take her!

Easiest class EVER. Follow along w/ PP and fill-in wkbk. 3 exams MC (make FCs!). Make-ups @ end of semester. 1 page paper & a few HWs. DON'T buy the txtbook (rent it @ library to get the couple of definitions you need for exams). About 40 pts EC. An A = 87%+ :)

Very easy class if you do the study guide and study that. Didn't really pay attention in class... just studied the study guide and got an 90% on all tests.. Class is extremely boring.. The prof. likes to hear herself talk. Some things are interesting, but she goes on forever about topics.

I took the online course. It was very easy, so long as you do well on the four exams and assignments. She provides you with study guides and the workbook is fill in. She gives weekly extra credit and it comes in handy if you don't do well on the exams. I didn't really read the textbook or listen to the lectures and I still got an A+.

Super easy class. Not so sure about homework thing cuz she didn't grade it yet. It takes forever. She talks REALLY slow. It doesn't matter with me. If you know everything from study guide, you can get 100. Because i got a 100. I didn't even read the book. All you have to do is know everything in study guide and do homework.

Professor Maher explains in detail what she is expecting for the homework, tests, etc..There is TONS of extra credit which you should definately do to recieve an A. Do study guide and review power point slides. She explains all due dates and expectations thouroughly on her syllabus which is nice.

Keep up with the h.w., fill-in the blank in the notes, and study the study guide. the study guide will be the key to getting an A on her tests. lots of extra credit. ended up with a grade above 100%

Great teacher. its not that she's easy. she just speaks very well and really knows how to make the subject interesting, so you learn with out realizing it. Plus if you make flash cards the tests go very quick. took her for 100 and 200 -( everyone should take positive Psyc 200 with her because you leave every class feeling like you can do anything.

She's been teaching Psyche for 15 years and she's damn good at it. She gets the info to you and is extremely fair when grading. Be warned, she talks fast, moves fast, and doesn't dilly dally. The only thing I wasn't expecting was her lack of empathy as a Psyche doc. And that's why she teaches it. So learn it. Common courtesy for the speaker.

Easy A! She's a really fun and casual professor. The tests are easy and the homework is easy, plus there's barely any of it. She is pretty helpful but only if you ask. I only took it because I had to but I actually really enjoyed it and I would highly recomend it!

If you make flashcards with information on study guides before tests, it is like impossible NOT to get an A. She puts EXACTLY everything that is on the study guide on the tests. I got a high A. Interesting class too

Took the Online class and it was a good amount of work each week. The tests are really easy if you do the study guide (There are four). There's no Final and there are only four assignments due the entire semester. She also offers A LOT of Extra credit! This class is an easy A just do all your work and listen to lectures :)

Super easy class, just fill in the blanks from the powerpoint into her notebook. One homework page per class, but they're all due at the end of the class (all of them together only took me a few hours). Tests are easy As if you use her studying strategy (flashcards).

You should definitely take this class! It is an easy A if you show up, complete her fill-in-the-blank workbook and studymake flashcards for the study guide she post on Black Board (Test are straightforward and easy!) She gives a lot of Extra credit.

I loved this class! I took the online version and easily passed with an A. She's my favorite college teacher so far. I loved her lectures (not super boring) and she was always quick to respond if anyone had any questions. You'll do great in this class as long as you do the study guide and turn the easy homework in on time.

Had her for HistorySystems. Her lectures are a little dull and her jokes are corny, but she's a really easy professor. She lets you have a cheat sheet for every test. We had to write a seven page paper that I didn't really try on and still got a B. I would take her if you had the choice!

Her Online psych. class is structured very simple. Weekly easy assignments and 4 large tests. Beware her tests are timed and can be challenging!!. As long as you view her online lectures and do some reading you will pass. She will offer extra credit to help you. Interesting class and easy to understand. She is a dork , she knows exactly what she is talking about and keeps the lecture modules very interesting. There was 4 exams and about 10 homework assignments. The exams are tough if you don't use her study guides although some questions are not necessarily on the study guide but you must read the chapter and listen to the lecture modules .

This was the best online class to take. Lectures aren't boring, study guides are literally the test and the homework doesn't take more than 10 minutes. Would recommend this class to anyone.

I took Deborah for intro to psych in the spring semester. work on the study guide, and you will do just fine! her exams come right off the study guide and if she hasn't lectured on something/not in the study guide, she will not ask it for the test. Very clear and straightforward! Do the extra credit too! If I could get an A, you can too! :)

Great class, never got bored. If you want to pass read the syllabus on how to study for her class, and do it after every lecture.. or till the week before. The study guide has everything that will be on the test, homework is once a week online and like 10-20 questions. SHES 60 BUT LOOKS 30, lowkey think shes that witch from game of thrones.
