Awsome teacher! I got an A and I didnt even show up for the final. Got 101+ on the tests I did do. If you go to every class and pay attention (which she make easy to do because she is humorous) you barely even have to study. Just read the chapter before going to class she does alot of easy pop quiz

Now the tests are very long...you have around 34 questions each test, where you have mutliple choice and essya questions. You will need to study and read a lot if you want a high GPA!

Professor Powell is a wonder ful lady. She was very nice and easy going. Just make sure that before you go to class you have an adg. that begins with the same first letter of you name. I.E. Cudly Cathrin. She makes it fun and very exciting. Awesome teacher.

What a sweetheart! she makes class interesting & easy to pass. Her tests are a little tricky but sometimes she lets you use your study guide to help you. Don't take this class though if you are shy because she likes to pick on ppl & get the whole class to talk.

She is terrific so far. She's funny, and she makes a conscious effort to get to know everyone. She has a very subtle way of making you come out with your prejudices, so if you don't want to be too revealing, you probably shouldn't take her class. I'll get back to you at the end of the semester to make sure I still feel this way.

She's very direct and straight forward. Just make sure you fill out as much as you can on the study guides because you can use them for your test.

She's an excellent teacher. I took her for Summer A. Attendance was mandatory, there were 3 exams, a group project (super easy), anda research paper. Must read the book! She gives you notes and study guide. I never used her notes or sg, instead I made my own thorough notes and got A's on the tests and was exempt from the final and the paper.

Prof. Powell really knows her materials. She is very funny. She really helpful too. Study the book as it will help you out in most of the lectures and the knowledge checks that she gives. She also gives out a study guide before each tests. The requirements is a research paper and group presentation of a assigned chapter. Overall, I recommend her.

The test are not that hard if you study only 30 questions with an open book section and 2-4 bonus questions, she does assign a lot of journal assignments that are worth doing. We mostly work in groups in the class. One thing that I kind of dilike is that she is outspoken and you do have to talk alot in the class

Shes straightforward but fun. When she says your going to use the book a lot she means it but I didnt have a problem with reading it because it was interisting and useful information that everyone needs or should know. And the other stuff is just commonsense. The tests need to be studied for which is so easy with the study guide.

Great professor and funny. Gives three tests if you get all A's you are except from the final. If you don't get three A's you still have a chance because she drops lowest test grade and replaces it with your research paper grade. Along with the research paper there is a group presentation.

Shes a cool fun professor. Easy tests no surprises. If you dont get an A its your fault. The only thing im not crazy about is having to work in groups all the time and doing group projects, but thats just me. Take her easy A

It is a very easy class but One thing that got me with her was how disorganized she is. She gave me a D when I really got an A. I had to email her to tell her the mistake she is going to change it but she is very disorganized. Easy class 3 test open notes and a group paper. Your pretty much in groups since the beggining of the semester.

Professor Powell is pretty amazing. Her teaching style is very interactive. She splits the class into groups at the beginning of the semester and assigns projects almost every class. Overall the class is easy, but attendance is mandatory.As other students have mentioned, you are allowed to use the study guide during the exams. A++

Her teaching style is amazing. Just listen to her lectures, and the test should be a breeze. The interaction she has with class I find awkward. She gets to know the person well, and then work with them from their personality traits. Overall an amazing Prof. You'll learn a lot from going to her class.

You must read and study. Its not just another easy psych class. She does quizzes and checks to see if you read. If you are faithful in coming to class at the end of the semester she will give you extra credit.

Ms. Powell is one of those teachers you will remember long after you're done with her class. This is my second class I've taken with her for a reason (SLS first). She explains the material clearly. Come to class with an open mind, study & take notes. It's not a hard class, I guarantee you will get the grade you deserve.

Prof. Powell is a good professor who really cares about the subject. This class was much more difficult than I expected as I thought it was going to be cake. LOTS OF READING! She expects you to come to class prepared to discuss the assigned reading and gets upset when you don't. Tests are mostly short answer with a little multiple choice thrown in.

Not a boring class, i thought. you get 3 absences. there are 3 tests, 1 final. you can be exempt from the final with 3 A's on the tests. theres a research project/presentation that drops your lowest test grade. Her class is kind of hard little bit because of the much studying you have to do: Study the study guide, the book, the flash cards in the website.
