Very good teacher for an online course. Extra credit was readily available. Always responded to questions within a day sometimes less. Prof. Sedik is a great teacher. If anyone is thinking of taking an online class, this is the one.

Class is very interesting, she is very clear in what is expected of you. She offers a study session before each test - stay for this class because she pretty much lets you know what is going to be on the test. Definately worth taking her class!!!
Great teacher- she makes it easy and interesting. Opportunities for extra credit available and she always is available for help.
great teacher, very interesting read the book and go to class and youll be fine. She is very smart and has a lot of insight. take her if your interested in pyschology
She is the best teacher I ever had an i have had a lot of teachers. The class was a so interesting that i strived for the A+ because i wanted to impress her. She has inspired me to change my life and become a better person. I ended up with a 4.0 this semester and I was usually a C student. She changed my life
I echo what everyone else has said. She is a gem of teacher! In my opinion, she's the best professor at Bucks. Challenging but highly supportive and she truly has your best interests at heart.
She is interesting and always willing to help. She just seems like such a good person all around. I had her for my intro class and she inspired me to take more of her classes. She's great!
She's great! I took her psych stats course, which was tough. She was extremely flexible, helpful and willing to meet re: the final paper at any time! Take her! She's great!
BEST TEACHER EVER!!!!!!!
Took summer session Intro to Psych. Good teacher, clearly laid out lesson plans, interesting insights, and engaging with the students. Extra credit always available. Tests are MC, but tough, you'll not be guessing the correct answers so study up or you'll not do well in this class.
Took Prof. Sediks summer session. Tons of info jammed in to 6 weeks, but she is AWESOME. Definitley want to take a class with her again. She doesn't just give you textbook explanation, she gives you real life. Pay attention, do the reading and take notes and you will most likely get an A.
awesome teacher best ive ever had by far. can be difficult but she explains/ halps you if you need it. if you pay attention and do your work you'll get an a
very hard class, but extremly helpful. always willing to stay after and help out. she was definitly my favorite teacher that i have ever had.
Took this class online and it was great! Very easy, just go to the textbook website and study their practice tests (hint hint)
Great professor. Her teaching skills are awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome! Extremely helpful and makes the material as interesting as she can. I would definitely take another class with her.
Great class, great professor. Very clear with instructions, very fair with grading, I'd definetely take another course from her
Professor Sedik, is an awesome teacher!! She help you in ant way that she can so that you pass. I would take her class again!!!!
She was very helpful when I had questions and she is a very fair professor.
I took her online intro to psyc class in summer sessionI. It was a very fair and interesting class. Ms. Sedik is very helpful. Effort goes a long way!!!!:-) I would highly recommend her class!
this was the best professor i ever had in my 3 years of college. i took psychology statistics with her and i struggled, but i came in to see her, and she helped me so much and saw that i was trying and gave me a b. love her!
Terrible teacher for psych stats. She is all over the place and is often asking us how to do the problems. She confuses me waaaaay too much. A complete dingbat in my opinion!
Very difficult tests to take. Online tests are timed. Questions and answers are very long winded. Its not what is the meaning of _____. The questions are if Carol is feeling so and so symptoms what diagnosis would you offer. You MUST Know your information before starting the tests.
Very nice and helpful
Awesome teacher. Pay attention in class, take notes on what she talks about and you will do really well
She is one of the best professors at the school. The course itself is not easy but she makes it fun and puts the material meaningful context. If you're ready to put in the time, she's ready to help and you'll do well.
Took psych110-online. A lot of reading, notes, and discussion boards. A lot of material, but if you don't fall behind and do all the work you will get a decent grade! She is always available for help! Extra credit is also available! Would definitley take her again I really enjoyed the class!
I took the on-line class Intro to Psych. The test are timed and very long questions. 83 questions in 80 minutes. I ended with a B+ because I did extra credit papers, she is helpful if you have questions. I would not take this couse on-line. It's alot of info for an Introductory class.
Hard, but managable. Keep up beginning! DO NOT MISS 1!!! 10 pt quiz each week keeps you studying; lowest dropped(11-1=100 pts.). Learn something new Tues, review Thurs, quiz next Tues; repeat. Easy paper (15 pt)and presentation (35 pt). Pts for attendance(50). 100 pt midterm and non-culm. final. Explains well and very logical. Well-designed class.
difficult class but great teacher. very helpful and fair grader!
so nice & funny makes it very easy to understand & keeps you interested covered 95% of the material on the tests during lectures so i rarely ever opened my book just took notes of everything she talked about in class, she did trivia the class before test which was most helpful study guide and I got an A. definitely recomend her! wonderful teacher!!!
I, like most Psych Students, didn't really want to take statistics. Prof. Sedik did a great job with a captive audience, and found a way to explain the material to us non-math thinkers. A challenging class, but she offers great support. Very rewarding!
By far the hardest class I've taken as a Psychology major at Bucks, but you can get an A if you study the homework. If you can, take this class in a separate semester from PSYC270. Professor Sedik is great at what she teaches and you will feel incredibly confident about the material if you stick with it!
Very helpful. Sometimes class would be rushed, so you'll be needing to read the book unfortunately. Wonderful teacher and I learned a lot.
Great professor! Very kind, very helpful. Claas was fun. Helpful study groups.
She is a really good teacher, she is always available to students in the class for extra help. She is encouraging, and her teaching is very clear and easy to follow. If you are nervous about statistics, take her for this class!
she is very helpful and makes a point to relate the statistics to psychology in real life examples. she made me understand psychology better and i'm not even good at math but i got a high B in her class. she genuinely wants her students to succeed. great teacher great lady
One of the best teachers I have ever had, she is extremely passionate about what she teaches and helps you through the course. All of her tests are online so you can use your book she listens to any problems you've had, and encourages sharing. Seriously take her you wont regret it.
This class was tough but I couldn't have taken this class with a better professor. Her lectures always made sense with clear notes and if you don't understand something she'll explain it to you until you get it. She is always very funny and makes the (3 12 hour) class more than enjoyable. These are the kind of teachers we need if every classroom.
Professor Sedik is a wonderful professor and an amazing person. She is passionate about teaching and cares deeply about her students. Psych Stats is a tough course but she gets you through with a lovely sense of humor and her positive attitude. Work hard, pay attention, study and you can get an A.
wow all I can say is run!!!!!!! not kidding she is the worst professor I have ever taken. It sucks that buck's only offers psyc 215 with her because she is horrible at teaching this course I failed this class and onto temple took the same course and got a B. Tried using the tutoring center for help and they couldn't even understand her method.
Prof Sedik is an excellent professor and an extraordinary person. She is so caring and wants all of her students to be successful. Her class is lecture based with no power point but if you listen and take good notes you will pass. Test is online and you have plenty of time to take it. Definitely take Professor Sedik!!
She is amazing!! You do need to be in class because she has amazing examples and demonstrations to help you understand the material. When I come to every class, I get an A on the test. Love her extra credit opportunities, so any student can really bring up her grade. And love playing Q&A before the test, its so helpful! Hilarious and insightful.
She is a super sweet, and personable professor... but she is strictly a verbal teacher. She does nothing for visual learners. So if you are a visual learner I would reconsider this professor. I never know what to write down, and don't have time to write a full sentence because she just keeps going and doesn't stop to say "Write this down"
Difficult class, amazing professor !
If you can't write fast or if you are a visual learner you shouldn't take this class. Reading is heavy and tests are 100 questions at a time. If you fail one test you won't pass the class unless you get 100's on the other three. 4 tests and one 7 page paper is all of the required homework. But I still loved the class, I'd definitely take it again!
I had Sedik for Psych Stat, and its a difficult course. I had her once a week, and we covered a LOT of material in those classes. You begin every class with a quiz, go over the previous weeks quiz, and then start a new lesson. Difficult but worth it, you will KNOW this material by the end of the semester.
Took PSYC181 as my first online class and Professor Sedik made it as easy and fun as possible. She answers emails right away and is straight forward. Grades easily and is just all around fabulous. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I would take her 100 more times if I had to with no issue. Love her.
Sedik was helpful. Took online very simple. Make sure you comment on discussions and take test and write paper at end. Easy class can use older verision of book take if you need this class online was best for me got an A
great professor, textbook readings every week, 4 difficult and long Exams, discussions every week
Donna was probably one of my favorite professors I've had so far. She gives good examples to help you understand the material better and explains things thoroughly. Although class is not mandatory, you want to show up because being there for her lectures made everything make more sense compared to the text. I would recommend her to everyone.
I did not understand Professor Sediks style of teaching at all. She has students put up a practice test and make a power point every week. She calls these students for the week the STs. You have to ask them everything and she does not really want you to come to her with questions before going to them. She speeds through everything as well.
I wish there were other teachers for psych stat. I would not recommend. Worst class Ive ever taken. Her teaching style is horrible.
Professor Sedik is my favorite! She is super kind and an amazing teacher. The class itself is easy if you enjoy the topics and do the work. Class is made up of 4 tests and a couple of extra credit assignments. The classes are lectures and the tests are online. As long as you pay attention, take notes, and do the extra credits, youll do great!
P. Sedik is very nice and active in the discussion boards. If you have a question, she gets back to you either that day or the next day. I did think that her exams were way too long and difficult for a psychology class and that her research paper guidelines were a bit intense. She also wants you to fully read and comprehend each chapter.
The class consists of 4 chapter tests, and every week you need to complete two discussion posts from the readings, which were never hard. She was very helpful when it came to needing anything. The final is a 6-7 page paper about any psychology based topic. I felt the guidelines were a little confusing and made it seem a lot harder that it was.
Sedik was very unclear and unorganized with her lectures. I practically had to teach myself the material the entire semester. When we switched to online because of COVID, she didn't teach class on Zoom. She basically left us on our own to teach ourselves the material and quizzed us on that material, which was impossible without proper instruction.
With professor Sedik it was horrible, not even done the course and i hate it. she doesn' teach you and you will have to rely on yourself to teach yourself or the ST's, a pair of students that reteach what she did in class which isnt very helpful. you wont know what your grade is for the semester. and she said get the textbook, but then didnt use it
If you're even slightly bad with math, DON'T take this course, because you will be teaching yourself the material. Not only that, but every week, she assigns a group to "reteach" the lesson, called STs, and expects you to go to them for questions instead of her. If she wasn't the only teacher of this class, I would have dropped ASAP.
Prof. Sedik is amazing! This is her third course that I've taken and I still have nothing bad to say. Her class is lecture based and the grading comes from 4 online tests. With everything going on in 2020, we had to switch to online. Even though I like her f2f classes better, online was still just as great. Show up, do the reading, and take notes!
Loved this professor! She made our lectures so interesting and easy to understand. Was so disappointed when our classes were switched to online mid semester. I'm hoping I can take her again if the school opens back up! She offers so many different extra credit assignments, but you can only do 2. Tests were online and there was no final.
You have to read a lot. Good professor.
Professor Sedik's only goal is to make you succeed. As long as you do your work & let her know if something comes up (like a family emergency), she is very understanding and wants to see you do your best. Definitely recommend!
Professor Sedik was a pleasure to have for a teacher and is very understanding overall! The class can feel a bit overwhelming at times, as it requires a lot of time and practice if you want to be successful, but she was very quick in her responses to any questions that arose which was extremely helpful! I would definitely recommend her! :)
Super nice and understanding
I found this class pretty boring. The notes weren't given out, so it was hard to follow what was going on. You have to read the textbook in order to be prepared for the test. Overall, wasn't my jam.
Loved this class so very much and I would take it again a million times. Would recommend in person or zoom for her class. So kind and so understanding always. Test and quizzes are cake and the class is so very interesting because she makes it that way! Just listen and participate and this class is smooooth sailing. Such a sweet and smart woman!
I had her through Zoom. This professor is perhaps one of the best I've had for my time at bucks. Lectures are interesting, mildly fast-paced - I would suggest typing notes rather than writing. Her exams have no "trick" questions. The subjects were entertaining and her examples helped you understand the material. Multiple-choice exams!
She was a very sweet professor, but she isn't the most tech savvy. She had frequent tech issues, it was painful when she was holding papers up to her grainy camera for us to see equations. Why not use your computer! This course is a very fast paced and hard course, but overall I was able to get through it without too many issues from the professor.
Shes a wonderful professor, as well as a wonderful human being! Love her! Very relatable, and humble. Gives a great grade when you try your best!
No complaints. Took online, she seems like a really caring and genuine person. Easy assignments; answer 2 questions of choice per chapter, post in discussion thread, it's graded by participation. No other assignments. 4 exams per semester and no quizzes, exams are difficult if you don't read and study the material tho. Offers extra credit papers!
This professor is honestly ridiculous, we only get like 4 exams and a research paper. She is a tough grader and gives no extra credit or chance to improve your grade. I regret taking this class so much, Im upset..
Took the 6 week summer class. Just graded discussion posts on chapter topics and 4 exams, which were open notes. Free openstax textbook. Gave thoughtful responses to discussion posts and encouraging announcements pertaining to the exams. Great class if you're willing to study a bit and take good notes.
I took this class online and she basically just had us read the textbook and hoped we would learn everything on our own so I really struggled. She also doesn't put in your grades till the last day of the semester. Its 1 assignment and quiz a week, no tests
Amazing professor! Very sweet and understanding. Classes are easy and fun
I've taken her for intro to psych, which was fine, but psych stats was a tough one. Her personality is amazing but as others have said, she's not tech savvy so it's essentially a lectured stat class, she'll hold up formulas on paper, which cuts her mic off so you dont know what she said. She uses formulas not in the textbook. 1 quiz is dropped.
This professor is absolutely awful, if you can avoid this class please do. She makes multiple mistakes every class and only has the class set to meet once a week. Does not explain SPSS nor how to write APA statements. The textbook is absolutely required since you have to reteach yourself all of the material.
Amazing professor. Gave clear guidelines from the start and was always available to clarify anything. As long as you read on time and participate in weekly discussions, you will do super well. This class was easy to follow and succeed in, even in an accelerated format.
so incredibly difficult to follow. not a good teacher if you are actually trying to learn the content. but if you are just trying to pass the class you will survive.
I would strongly recommend NOT taking this professor due to the fact that her course is graded by very few things, leaving little to no room for failure. 4 exams (about 100 questions each) and a research paper (which she grades very loosely). This course consists of reading your textbook to educate yourself, no PowerPoint slides available.
The class is simple, but it is graded on very very few things. 4 exams and 1 research paper. If you do bad on one test it can be difficult to bring the grade up. If you just need the credits this is an easy class.
Quizzes and homework weekly. She is incredibly nice and understanding. However, it's hard to follow her lessons if you don't already have a strong grasp of statistics. If you struggle with math, be prepared to put in some extra work.
Very hard. Does not know how to teach. You have to learn everything on your own.
I got a D in this class because of how difficult it was to follow. I am now retaking this class at Temple University and realize the problem was the professor. At Temple there is no unnecessary writing out all of the equations. We are thoroughly taught how to learn everything with slideshows, not reading a bunch of words in capitol letters.
She's a sweet person but her teaching methods are hard to understand. She's overly hyper, doesn't go over what we need to know for tests or homework, and expects us to teach ourselves using the textbook. Overall didn't learn much from her class and still don't know my grade a month away from finals bc she's so slow at grading and won't put them in.
All lessons are taught by hand. Some equations take up 3 whiteboards. She talks extremely fast, doesn't explain anything. One online quiz and SPSS homework with unclear instructions every week. There are days when I wanted to cry in class because I was so lost and frustrated. Need to have a good understanding of statistics going into this class.
Easiest class I've ever taken, took this as an honors and as long as you read the book you'll be fine. 4 tests, one research paper, and there's also 2 weekly discussion posts a week but they aren't graded for points. Her front cover canvas page layout is a headache but other than that her class is a breeze. She is helpful in emails also!
Professor Sedik is an interesting character. She gives great, informative lectures and has a great way of explaining the concepts of statistics. However, she clearly did not want to be there, which made it very hard for me as a student to motivate myself. You will learn about statistics and how to use SPSS, but make sure you are self-motivated.
Sedik was quick to respond to emails, outlines expectations pretty clearly, and does overall a solid job. I submitted an extra credit paper a little late but did well on it so she gave me the full score possible. There was a good deal of reading but it was an accelerated class, so I reckon that's to be expected. I hope to have her again soon
Best professor I've had yet. Absolutely amazing, I've learned so much throughout her class and you can tell she truly cares for her students. I wish I could take her class again.
Such an amazing Professor! I'm glad I took her class.
