This was the most interesting class I've ever taken! The subject is both relevant and alarming, yet this professor hones in on important concepts, provides helpful study aides and incorporates current events to make it apply!

I had this teacher for micro, I agree she picked favorites. I wasn't one but I did not care I never let her be rude to me if she tried I was there in here office. At the same time she is really good in the material even she don't liking me I pass my class with a B+. Too good for a no english speaker

Wonderful teacher-I am HORRIBLE at anything that has to do with math and/or science but Ms. Simon made her class interesting and easy to understand. I don't think she picks favorites-but she has no tolerance for people who don't try in her class and then complain or are lost.

Ms.Simon is the most knowledgable teacher I've had. She truly enjoys teaching and wants you to know what she teaches. She makes the class fun with her eccentricities and she will make think twice about everything you eat or touch. Micro is not easy though so prepare to study.

Ms Simon is the BEST teacher at Sfcc. She is an absolute joy. She makes the class fun, and interesting. You will leave every lecture with new (frightening) information. I HIGHLY recommend you take her. Her tests are easy and she gives some extra credit as well.

Easy class. lets u use cheat sheets on tests. Her summer classes are alot easier than during fall or spring(during the summer there is no book final or turning in labs). gives practice tests online. all summer tests were taken on the Big Open Lab. Minimal studying is need to pass this class if u are even a decent math student.

Professor Simon is an absolute angel of a teacher! She allows cheat sheets, gives practice tests similar to the actual tests and plenty of extra credit. She's a very eccentric person,and extremely helpful and considerate to her students. She made Chemistry interesting and not so scary! I highly recommend Professor Simon for Chemistry!

take micro with her. the test are on line and plenty of practice exams to do. The lab is not hard and she gives plenty of extra credit in case you do stuggle. This is micro made easy for anyone. A great instructor

Ms. Simon is the best! I enjoyed her Chemistry class and her micro class was awesome. Ms. Simon gives you opportunity for extra credit, and gives you practice tests that are identical to her tests. She lets you have cheat sheets because she doesn't believe that you should have to stress over excessive material.

She's really funny, uses webct for everything. All the tests are online, you get practice tests and cheat sheets and a periodic table for every test. Extra credit is available, all you have to do is pay attention to her. She also LOVES penguins and talks about them all the time!

She is a great instructor. Chemistry is not my forte, but with her excellent teaching skills, I was able to earn a high A for the course. If you pay attention to her lectures, (which is easy to do, as she makes them interesting), do her practice tests, and take advantage of her extra credit assignments and you can easily pass her class with an A!

I took Prof. Simon's chem class and then micro. I've never met anyone so current and enthusiastic about their field. Her enthusiasm is infectious and I've decided to become an infec. disease nurse because of her class. (If you read anything diff, then it's got to be from a nonstudious, disgruntled student). TAKE THIS BIOLOGY CLASS- HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! You can fail the tests and still get a C there is so much extra credit. She cares a lot about the students and will do whatever she can to help you get an A. Great and interesting professor. If you paid attention and did the online practice quizzes it was not hard to get an A in her course. Unfortunately she will no longer be teaching chemistry after the fall semester so hopefully one can try and sign up for one of her other classes.

It's a fast moving course so you really don't get bored with the topic you're studying. There is no reason to get anything lower than a high B- the unlimited practice tests available prepare you for the exams and she offers so much extra credit. It was a great system that was showed to us. all the information you need and pictures are all there. if you try in the class then you should be fine. if u do your homework, show up to class, and pay attention then everything makes sense.

SFCC doesn't do very well with keeping the computers in check... One day it wouldn't even play a DVD. Other than that Simon really knows her stuff and teaches it well.

Professor Simon in my book was a good professor. Her class hard at times made sense. She seemed really excited about what she was teaching. If you take her class do all the extra credit you can do as well all the practice exams online they really help. And go to class if you miss you will be lost.

The practice quizzes are very helpful. You can do as many as you want. Be sure to take advantage of this.

Great class, extremely interesting. Prof Simon is really laid back and offers tons of extra credit. Practice tests are crucial in preparing for actual tests. The final is a two-minute power point. We didn't use the textbook for the course, instead a $20 workbook. I would definately recommend this course to anyone.

She offers a lot of extra credit. If you attend class and get good grades on the test you dont have to take the final. Offers pratice exams that are just like the real test and have some of the same questions as the test. You dont have to buy a book. She uses a workbook that has everything you need in it. All the notes are online.

The class is easy if you are willing to study on your own. She uses online practice test online which count a little towards your grade and is basically what the real test looks like (not some much of what she talks about in class.) DO NOT BUY THE BOOK!! She will tell you to buy a work book for $35. (big $$ saver) A lot of extra credit available.

This class was great. It was really easy and the teacher was very energetic and passionate about the subject which made it fun and interesting. Very easy to get an A - I put in little effort all throughout the semester but then busted my butt towards the end and got an A. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to take this course even if it isn't for your major.

She takes this class VERY seriously and expects you to come to class everyday and complete all of the assignments in her workbook (you will use a workbook made by her instead of a textbook). Long story short, as long as you go to class and participate you will be fine.

The exams for this class are essentially the same as practice exams. If you do them as many times as you need to get an A on the practice exams then you will be fine. Easy class! I am finishing Intro to Bio everything is in the book or in her online lecture notes. She expects her students to act like adults who take this seriously, not like children. I took her Biology class, and it wasn't hard if you attend. If you miss a bunch of classes, you can still get a good grade, but you have to teach yourself the material. The teacher is kind of funny and likes to tell you random information.

I loved this Genetics and Evolution class. She is an amazing teacher and will help you every step of the way. She keeps the class interesting by incorpating films about the subject she is teaching. Overall I had a wonderful time in her class this year and she made me want to learn more about the genetics and evolution of mankind.

Simon was amazing! I took genectics and evolution, her class was fun and very interesting, she does call on you in class, but its becuase she wants the class to learn as a group, she gives tons of extra credit. All you have to do is the workbook and practice test.. Its very stress free, and I really enjoyed her a lot.

I find it a bit discouraging that so many students underestimate this teacher. Ms. Simon is actually a really great teacher, most information that sticks in my head after a school day is from this class. Her teaching methods are a little harsh, and perhaps a bit unconventional.. but if you give it a chance it is very effective. She's funny too!
